PARA POWERPOINT: THE CROWLEY FAMILY
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
My favorite fucked up family (and that's saying something, considering what my paras are like lol). I made a typo on Aurelia's slide, her last name is supposed to be "Crowley" like everyone else but uuhh i was thinking about the d//c version of this 'cosm.
Yeah in case you couldn't tell, most of these guys are inspired by a different version of J//nat//an Cr//ne. I like him far too much, I know. Anyway this is more of a ref for me but heres what each of them is based on:
Ghost = S@l3crow (T!m S@le's portrayal).
Noah = Arkhamv3rs3.
Lannie = Yellow Lantern.
Christopher = Nolanv3rs3.
Jonathan = my version (which is why he gets the name "Jonathan" lol).
There's also another character, Dimitri, based on the Scar3b3ast. But he's not related to the Crowley's (...biologically. obviously they took in the giant fear-inducing monster).
Honestly I might do this for some other para families. The Fox Family has some pretty wild lore/drama, ill have to go through my files/notes to see if there's anything worth sharing but I like making PowerPoints so I'm sure I'll find something.

Thank you <3 it's Lannie time now 😎 (hes technically a fictpara bc he's based on Yellow Lantern!Jonathan. but. shush.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Lannies full name is Lancelot Crowley (he/him). Yes Lannie is short for Lancelot. No you're not allowed to call him that unless your his mom (Sabrina) or his brothers (Noah & Christopher).
He hails from Florida (which explains....so much. everything) and didn't really have a dad growing up bc all of Sabrina's lovers dipped soon after her boys were born (yes they're technically half brothers who cares). Because of this, Sabrina was a single mother and had to work a lot to support the family. Lannie was the middle child (Noah being the oldest & Christopher being the youngest) and often took care of house repairs due to money being tight.
Lannie was picked on a lot during childhood (none of the Crowley's had a....Happy Life, to put it simply). He was a quiet kid who daydreamed a lot and didn’t really have many friends. Easy bully fodder. Eventually he grew up and moved to Prisn Pulse, where he graduated from Pulse University with a chemistry, psychology, & teaching degree. He went on to teach at PU until he got fired bc of his....unsafe teaching methods. He killed everyone involved in his firing and then moved on to become a psychologist at DayBreak Asylum.
His involvement in the murders were soon found out by Agent Owl & Commissioner Cori, leaving Lannie to "defend" himself with a Fear Shard he got from Henry Sinclair (the only other person to wield a Fear Shard). Anyway. Thus his villain career as "Lantern" began! What followed was a series of chaotic crimes meant to strike fear into the citizens of Prism Pulse.
His main opponent was Faith Spade, who weilded a Hope Shard. To sum it up, they sort of fell in love and had Harlow Spade (who I've already talked about lol). But Lannie doesn't know Harlow's his kid, so he thinks they're annoying and getting in the way of his plans.
...at first. Because, again, not a lot of people actually cared about Harlow's well being. Lannie, at the very least, refused to fight a literal 8 year old and was constantly wondering if she should be up to late on a school night. A lot of their bonding, at first, was over Faith because they both missed her (well, Lannie did. Harlow never knew Faith & her dad refused to talk about her). So Lannie told her stories about her mother and it evolved from there. The two form an odd sort of friendship that results in Harlow switching sides and working for Lannie at 15, going by "Mayhem".
Ok personality time 😎 like Harlow, he's a chaotic mess, but a lot more calculated due to his age/experience. He spends way too much time on tiktok and has 0 idea how to use Twitter. He cries everytime his Shard is taken away from him. He's really into old anime and star wars. Overall he's a fucking mess but both I & Harlow love him and claim him as our dad 💛.
Again here's his playlist as a reward for reading all that shit.

gotten horribly obsessed with MaaC's Lanternverse AU and BOY HAS A LOT HAPPENED KDNSKDDM
like. crossover with Ghostverse AU (which already existed but only Ghost, Lannie, & other Crowley Alternates could interact with each other, same w/other Alternates). Lannie & Alice Rose meeting (+ lannie getting his ass kicked by her while Ghost laughs). Lannie's version of jervis/alice being revealed to be the child of lanternverse's God of Fear, then BECOMING the new God of Fear after that one dies. Crowley Alternates being imprisoned & Lantern!Jervis (Mayhem??) breaks them out in their New God Attire.
...I need to make a worldbuilding doc for this lmao

I think....I found a face claim for Lannie?? Or perhaps two: Kyle Mooney & Keanu Reeves.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Like he's a mix of both...actually I tried morphing their faces together and
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
??? I dunno. I'm not sure how I feel about it. The middle one is probably the closest, save for the glasses. The hairstyle on the right might be a little bit closer, though. But the expression on the right fits Lannie's personality best...so I guess if you combine these 3 images, you'll get an accurate picture of Lannie.

AU where Faith lived, divorced Harlan, and married Lannie so Harlow is raised by both of them instead.
Except their both a hero/villain respectively & their relationship is sort of an "open secret" to everyone living in Prism Pulse (especially after Harlow gets older).

!! (for the oc ask you reblogged)
[ send me "!!" & I'll introduce you to an oc ]
Oh thank you!! So. Harlow. My fucked up horror girl. My scream queen, final girl, etc. (this got. SO LONG, I'm so sorry)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Her full name is Harlow Spade (she/they) & they work for Lannie Crowley/Lantern as his henchperson. His right hand, more specifically! She started working for him when she was 15 after having a mental breakdown/existential crisis about being a magical girl.
You see, in the city Harlow lives in (Prism Pulse), there are 7 deities that have control over 7 emotions (Anger, Greed, Fear, Determination, Hope, Love, Compassion). These 7 used to be hidden from humanity but Ares, Hermes, and Phobos (they're named after Greek gods but not THE Greek gods, if that makes sense?) wanted themselves to be known/have more recognition, so now we're here!
Anyway the 7 can now choose Prism Citizens to give their power to, but only of they 1) were born in PP & 2) born after The Calamity (aka when they revealed themselves). These people are called "Witches" and Harlow is one such Witch! The deity that claimed her was Pandora, aka the deity of Hope. Harlow did NOT have a fun time being a Hope Witch, though. I don't want to, like, give a bunch of worldbuilding so to sum up: her mother, Faith, had a Hope Shard (aka an object that lets non witches/humans use the deities power) and was a superhero/magical girl for Prism Pulse until she got pregnant with Harlow. Faith was beloved by everyone and is kind of...martyred? romanticized?? Everyone always talks about how great she was and. its a lot to put on an 8 year old!!
Yes, that's right. Poor little baby started fighting crime at 8. Nobody cared that she was a literal child, just that she had to stop Lannie/Lantern (who has a Fear Shard, Fear & Hope are opposites which is why Harlow was expected to fight him). Now. This isn't about Lannie, but he IS important to Harlow.....because he's also her dad! *gasp* yes I know how fucking wild.
See, its fun, because Faith & Lannie were enemies, then had this weird coworker dymanic, then they sort of accidentally started sleeping with each other (oh did I also mention that Faith has a husband, Harlan?? well get to him dw but yeah she definitely cheating on him). This is supposed to be about Harlow. Sorry. Anyway, nobody knows Harlow is Lannie’s kid (except for possibly Faith, and tbh Lannie lowkey suspects it but what's he gonna do?? get a dna test done?? he's a fucking criminal yall). Also Faith kills herself shortly after Harlow is born bc of post partum depression/psychosis, leaving Harlow in the care of Harlan, her "father".
Harlan was NOT a good dad lmao. He constantly blamed Harlow for her mothers death and put most of the pressure for her to fight Lannie (i stg when you really look at Canon!Harlow's life, Lannie is the ONLY person that genuinely cares about her). Ssoo yeah he sucks, very emotionally & verbally abusive.
So you're probably wondering. What happened when Harlow was 15 that made her work for Lannie instead? Well, to put simply: she died! Yes, you read that right. Harlow is technically a ghost. There was this giant fight involving, Harlow, Lannie, Agent Owl (Prism's main hero), and some other villains idk the details yet, which resulted in Harlow getting severely injured and dying. Lannie was the one to notice her dying first bc Owl was too busy fighting the other villains, and BOY did he blow up at Owl for not caring about Harlow enough. Anyway she became a ghost bc Pandora was like "nnoooo 😭 you were my favorite!!! go back rn". Pandora said "everyone lives au, hurt/comfort, 35k" blame her for all of Harlow's problems.
ANYWAY. I THINK THAT'S ENOUGH BACKSTORY??? if you're still reading this, uh...personality time?? My girl is FERAL. she eats bugs. She bites people, police especially. They're an absolute menace to society and will one day take over Lannie’s job as being a general nuisance. She's also constantly insulting Lannie and making fun of him (affectionately of course. though sometimes it does get a lil personal oops). Uhmmm she's also very smart, extremely good at Alchemy (which is basically magic chemistry in this universe).
Now it's time for the Faith Lives!AU bc. I like it a lot more lol.
Its basically what is says on the tin, Faith doesn't kill herself. She also divorces Harlan & gets with Lannie! Nobody is happy about them being together but me (and them ofc). Under their parenting, Harlow has a MUCH happier childhood and even a little brother, Jack! (named after Jack Skellington. Lannie thought it would be funny. he was right.)
ALSO!!! bc of some worldbuilding reasons I don't have time to explain, Phobos (deity of Fear) is now her patron/the deity to give her powers!! And while it still kinda sucks bc those claimed by Ares/Hermes/Phobos are SEVERELY hated (those 3 don't have....the best reputation in Prism Pulse) and she's a lot more powerful bc thats her...."true calling", I suppose is how you'd put it? Like she can use both Hope & Fear, but she's got an easier time with Fear lol. (She might also just be possessed by phobos. just a lil, idk)
Your "reward" for reading all that is Harlows playlist & the FL!AU playlist. Oh and. Bragging rights, I guess.

sifting through everything for MaaC which is kind of a nightmare ngl, separating this from Fandom Influence is certainly a larger task than I thought. my main point of contention right now though is the order in which everything takes place. like after Act 04: The Consequence of Imagination is Fear, it gets....Messy. meta-wise, IAMDID would come next & then CG. and I guess canon-wise it'd make sense, too, because then it focuses on Alice (who would take a backseat in Act 04 due to it being about Jervis & Jonathan's relationship).
During Act 04 it can be hinted at with Alice not feeling well & her getting weird dreams. IAMDID would then also flow easily into CG, because then Lannie can be introduced during that (it also just makes sense bc he knows the most about the Crowley Family History for some reason). And then that would be a good way to ease into CG since he's one of the main characters of that.
boom. problem solved. im a genius.

I'm finally home it's time to talk about RoseCrow/GhostRose aka the relationship between Jonathan Crowley/GhostCrow & Alice Rose/Mad Hatter. @sugarcoatedsadism ik u were interested in this so here <3
(this got SO LONG I'm sorry)
SO. where to begin.....I guess with how they met? It wasn't anything grand tbh. Every once in a while, Ozzy/Birdie hosts a "Villain Party/Meeting", where all (or, most) of the villains in the city gather so they can network & make plans on how to further terrorize the city. There was a lot of buzz this time around, as Alice (who I've mentioned as being the newest/youngest villain) is finally invited after proving she wasn't a one-hit-wonder (basically, it's been roughly a few months to a year since her debut).
Some of the villains - like Daisy Green/Thorn - Alice had already met due to a couple run-ins with them (both pre & post villainy). Still, it was nerve-wracking for her & she didn't really know who to talk to.
Enter Ghost. He didn't go to these meetings often unless specifically requested; being around crowds made him uneasy. The only reason he went was to see what all the fuss was about Alice. He had, of course, seen her work on the news. Mind Control/Brainwashing was....an interesting choice, and while he could see the use for it, Ghost wasn't sure if it would be worth it to try and gain an ally in Alice.
I'm going to speed this up along because it's already 3 paragraphs But the two of them do end up talking! It's nothing major, a short convo of Ghost welcoming Alice & telling her this isn't like those silly little cartoons she seems so fond of. That was that.
Their next meeting proved more.....productive. They were paired up during a meeting to cause a distraction while some other villains did a heist. Well, it went a little awry when the City Hero showed up & Alice ended up having to drag Ghost's bleeding body back to her apartment & nurse him back to health. Not ideal for either of them, but oh well. Because there was really nothing else to do other than read or watch tv, Ghost ended up sparking many conversations with Alice. He ended up enjoying her company by the time he was fully healed. After all, any other villain would've just left him there, a mess of blood and broken bones, waiting for the City Hero to take him to ArkBat. He chalked it up to her being naive. She'll learn soon enough that if she wanted to live as a villain, she needed to put herself first.
It was like that for a bit. The two would hang out occasionally, then often, then all the time. Ghost became Alice's "mentor", if you will. He basically showed her the ropes of the whole villainy thing. It became apparent that he was protective of her, but then again, so were most of the villains (especially Daisy/Thorn). Why wouldn't they be? Alice had, for many, integrated into their little Villain Family as a baby sister.
But that was sort of the problem. Everyone saw her as a "baby". A toddler trying to play with the Big Kids. It bugged the hell out of Alice, and she'd often confided in Ghost with this. Ghost was the only one who treated Alice as, well, Alice I suppose. I won't get into her whole backstory, but people treating her as a baby/doll/pet-figure is pretty common & a major reason she became a villain. So for Ghost to treat her like an actual adult....well, her feelings for him grew.
At first, she thought it was a stupid crush. Like, obviously. It started when she was first taking care of Ghost. Some weird Savior Complex had taken hold of her, surely. But no. It got worse, to the point where she had to recognize that, yes, she did have a crush on Ghost. Okay, fine, no big deal. It's normal to have crushes on people older than you, isn't it? Besides, all her new friends were older than her, it was bound to happen eventually. At least it was with Ghost, and not someone who'd take advantage of that little tidbit if they ever found out they were the object of her affections.
Meanwhile, Ghost was having a little trouble. He liked Alice - though, that was the problem, wasn't it? He liked her too much. He thought about her a little too often, looked at her a little too long for him to rationalize it in his mind. Fun Fact: Ghost is very bad at....feelings. Human things in general, tbh. He honestly thought that perhaps Alice had hypnotized him somehow, though quickly realized this wasn't the case after seeing her process for brainwashing victims. She wasn't capable of doing it without him noticing. Not yet, at least. (Besides, Alice had already made it clear when they started sharing a hideout that she didn't want to hurt any of her new "friends".) Still, he needs someone to talk to. Not any of the villains. A small part of him was, foolishly, afraid of what they might think. He didn't even know what to think. So, he turned to the only person he could: Lannie.
I can't explain Lannie here....there's too much to go through, but the tl;dr is that Lannie is Ghost from another dimension, talking to your alternate selves is a common thing all villains can do (minus Alice until recently). Anyway, he talks to Lannie, a Harley Alternate, & Jervis (Alice's Alternate). They help him work through his Feelings & give him the courage to confess to Alice.
I haven't really thought about how Ghost would go about confessing to Alice. Or....maybe it would make more sense for Alice to confess since she thinks he's not interested, she might just want to hear it so she can get over the crush. Either way, the two have a deep talk about their feelings & decide to be a couple. It gets mixed reviews, with a lot of people glaring at Ghost, but it was Alice's choice to date him so they're all just gonna have to die mad about it.
idk what else to say so I'm gonna end it here. hope that satisfies your curiosity, if not then I'm sure this post is proof that I can & will go write an essay on my paras unprompted.

of all the paras in MaaC to start "talking" to me, I did not expect it to be Lannie.
So I was thinking about the alternates & all of a sudden lannie just. talks?? to me??? I hear him go "excuse me?" anD IM LIKE UHM SIR. YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO DO THIS PLEASE STOP
he was chill about it tho? kinda made sense since the multiverse exists & he apparently keeps track of a few things. like hes gone now but talking to him sort of felt like talking to Emory (one of my actual verits), in the sense that I knew he was "there", I didn't really think of his response, and then I "felt" him "leave".
I'm so confused. Wished Emory was here cause he'd probably know but he hasn't spoken in a while, I think I've felt him a few times so I know he's still around (probably just reminding me he's still around lmao).
