My outfit and experience seeing the Attack on Titan Last Attack movie in theaters 🖤🌸🧣🕊️🌲🐚

First off, my completely AoT themed outfit!

Mikasa T-shirt showcasing the final scene of the series, Eren Jaeger key, Eren x Sanrio earrings, Mikasas cardigan that was sold for the Japan release of the last attack, and the AoT x Sanrio backpack :3 (almost my whole wardrobe is AoT related 😅)

Next, my overall experience seeing it in movies:

There was a dubbed showing about 30 minutes away from my house and in the evening so I had time to catch it after work for the day.

Never in a million years did I think I'd get to watch my favorite series on the big screen, I am so unbelievably lucky to have gotten this experience.

The movie started with such a grim, terrifying, and sad showcase of the rumbling on the big screen. Seeing it in this form and in an actual cinema made me reflect on just how dark and brutal the rumbling is. So many animes like to add gore or murder just for sheer shock value or so that it can be "dark", but the rumbling is truly different. Seeing parallels between Eren crying and saying he's sorry and then seeing the horrors of getting crushed? Just wow. Absolutely blew my mind.

Not long after this we got to see Hanges sacrifice on the big screen, which of course made me and literally everyone else cry. You could just hear the whole theatre sniffling. Seeing the plane take off gets me every time 😭 (ALSO THIS WAS MY HUSBANDS FIRST TIME EVER WATCHING THE ENDING, WHAT?!?!?!)

The battle of heaven and earth is an insane masterpiece as always and seeing Mikasa and the impending doom of killing Eren sneaking up on us through the big screen was just insane.

And lastly, seeing the ending on the big screen, seeing Levi get to salute his fallen comrades, everyone reunited with their parents, Gabi and Falco, all of it. Seeing almost everyone get their happy ending really did heal a piece of my heart, while also breaking it for Mikasa of course.

AND THE SCHOOL CASTE SCENE OMFG!!! I was nerding out so hard. It was adorable because the whole theatre was very excited and trying to keep their cool and be quiet and respectful while also just absolutely giggling and immensely enjoying seeing the school caste being goofy. It was more then what I expected. If anyone is curious, it's just the last school caste chapter animated. And it was perfect. In every way. I still haven't recovered.

My husband has only read the manga. He was well aware of the ending, but he walked out of the theatre literally speechless and amazed. It was great getting to vicariously live through him seeing it for the first time.

Once again, I am so unbelievably lucky for getting to see it in theaters, and I was so happy to be surrounded by so many other people enjoying it as well. I am so happy some U.S. fans got to share this experience and take in this amazing series in cinema.

I couldn't finish it all the way unfortunately, but I needed all of you to see the amazing ocs of isra on youtube!! their designs are so incredibly lovely, which is most definitely the reason why I couldn't hold myself back from drawing all three of them ^v^'

if you're wondering, the thing on the bottom left was supposed to become a car when I sketched it out, but I didn't get the chance to make sufficient colour adjustments and shading to make it actually look like one...

remember to breathe some fresh air, whether it be outside or just opening a window (if this isn't feasible due to air quality, renewing the filters for any air purifying systems you have also helps)!

absolutely despicable behavior from WB to plunder a fan film from 15 years ago just because their corporate greed led them to want to make their own (likely soulless even with PJ’s involvement) version with the exact same title.

UPDATE: the copyright has been released and the fan film The Hunt for Gollum is back on YouTube and can be watched. Though, it's still really telling of the capitalist corruption of WB and Hollywood that their first move and publicity for this (unnecessary) movie was to directly attack the fans for something produced over a decade ago.
