I have suddenly gotten very hyper-fixated on FNF vs Sonic.exe (insert update/ encore) which led to me being back into Sonic and Sonic.exe, Then I found your blog while catching up on 10 years of missed lore and I am over the moon!!! I love the corruption!AU its gorgeous, I just read through everything I could in the tag lol I do have a few questions though- maybe suggestions to stew ups some ideas, just suggestions <3 I saw a post about how did Sonic get infected? My brain went right to "How did The Rot get on the planet? Was it dwelling underground or..." What my brain went to was an astroid and Sonic being Sonic went to check it out, because he's the hero! he has to make sure people are okay! But that made me think? Would Sonic be patient zero? or are there a bunch of others who have turned already? City's are canon within the comics. The Rot wants to infect would it restrain itself? Say like scoping the area, say go out act as normal as possible and observe others, looking for the biggest group of people (family, friends, etc.) strategizing basically? or does it attack first chance? would it be able to use its host's "powers" like chaos control, Sonic's speed, Silver's telegnosis, and Espio's invisibility? What does it do when there's nothing left to consume? one last thing, wherever it comes from, would it have to practice speaking? like patient zero, being the first to be consumed, would it have to "test it out"? Sorry for the rant, I'm just in love!! <3 It has my gears turning

A few of these questions have already been answered in previous asks, so I’ll answer the ones that I haven’t answered yet

How did The Rot come to Sonic’s world? Is Sonic patient zero?- Now that’s spoiler territory. You’ll know soon enough. He is ‘patient zero’. That’s all I’ll tell you.

Would The Rot restrain itself from infecting? Does it attack first chance?- The Rot doesn’t have an ‘urge’ to spread. It’s just doing what it wants to do. Like an animal in nature. It will wait as long as it needs to before it infects someone, that wait time can be days or weeks, even months if it comes to that.

Would it have to practice speaking?- Not exactly. It already knows how to speak as it can simulate lungs and vocal cords and whatever else it needs to speak. Though it takes a while before their hosts voice becomes less layered and growly and more clear and unsuspecting. The more hosts it has, the easier it can be to speak clearly. Until then, it rarely speaks in front of others, only saying short words or sentences when it needs to.

What does it do when there’s nothing left to consume?- Well, there has been a thought bubbling around in my mind about that for a while… but I sure ain’t gonna tell you it. You’re just gonna have to figure that question out yourself.

Upon entering the theatre hall, the first thing you noticed was how empty it was. There were just five people in the hall, all in the middle seat section of the hall. You and Renjun looked at eachother and he gave you a soft 'I told you so' look and smiled. You had insisted on First day first show, impatient to see the movie and not get any spoilers. Renjun simply told you to trust him and stay away from social media for a week after the movie hit the box-office. You thought it wouldn't be so empty, considering how everyone was talking about the movie. Well Renjun's always right, cus a week later, last show of the evening. There are barely any people inside.

Which meant you both had the last row to yourself.

You were pretty excited for the movie, until you werent.

Slowly the 5 people who were in the theatre with you, left. You finally understood why the theatre was so empty. Since you had not been using social media you did not know the movie you had been waiting for to come out for AGES turned out to be so fucking boring, it felt like a documentary about sedimentary rocks.

But hey, empty movie theatre. You both decided to stay, when else will one get to witness an empty movie theatre as an idol? Renjun could finally be without a mask.

It started of with a few pecks and soft kisses, exchanging shy giggles, cute smiles and lots of 'I love yous'. You sat on his lap and continued to kiss him, each kiss getting needier by the second.

You both had barely spent much time together the past month, with Renjun busy with promotions and you, well- you had a stable job and your boss was pissing you the fuck off. It felt nice to be with him, the love of your life, so close, so intimate, inside a movie theatre. It felt like time had stopped. You and him against the world. You would give anything to experience something like this again.

When you pulled away, out of breathe, and looked into his eyes, there it was- desire. The longing, the feeling of need, to be needed, love, adoration, desperate to feel each other as close as possible. Your eyes spoke the language your hearts couldn't express into words.

His lips met yours again, out of desperation and need you grinded against him, the sexual tension making the extremely spacious cold hall, suffocating and hot. He let out a surprised soft moan and kissed you back to control his noises. His hands settled on your waist, guiding your movements, your cute little moans mixing in the background of the movie soundtrack, made it not so boring, he thought. He left hickies down your neck, dark bruises from your neck to your collarbone. You felt so lightheaded, the knot tightening with each movement of your hips, his hips bucking up every now and then, he was close too.

He whispered in your ear, his angelic voice a few octaves lower, "fuck baby, what if someone comes and sees us like this, think there are cameras here, hm? See you looking so pretty f'me, all mine." His words only riled you up even more, hips stuttering, losing the rhythm, trying to go faster. His hands stilled at your hips, stopping your movements as you whined.

You were both now fully dressed, face hot, body still shaking from the aftershocks of what you had done. Still in his lap as you tried to catch your breathe. Renjun's face flushed in the dark room, his head thrown back, adams apple bobbing, hair sticking to his forehead. Fuck he looked so hot. He looked at your face gave you a soft smile, pecking your lips.

You both heard someone clearing their throat. It was a worker, slightly younger than you both. He looked new at his job. His face was as red as a tomato.

"U-uh sir, m-ma'am, I- I'm sorry. You're gonna have to l-leave. Kindly refrain from...u-uhm. There are cameras here!" With that he ran out of the place. You and Renjun were left to stare at each others faces.

Thank you! Heads up for the usual "I'm super RVB critical" disclaimer but here are my assorted thoughts.

RVB: RESTORATION SPOILERS under cut, very rambly, TLDR at the end.

The premise was interesting! I think I (personally) would've appreciated it way more if it had actually followed RVB13 directly, but that's beyond anyone's control. Tucker becoming the Meta is great, it would've been nice to see a real-time progression into it. Kinda sucked that Tucker himself didn't get as much focus as a character, but they probably didn't have time to squeeze in anything past Sigma mentally torturing him and Tucker's passing comments about not wanting to help him.

The animation was okay. I won't flame it because they were probably on a time crunch/low on crew, but some parts of it looked worse than others. Action sequences looked pretty good though.

They were trying to do a "final encore" thing by bringing back some old characters (even as cameos), which is, like. Fun? But I feel like focusing so much on Freelancer seasons (with Niner, Wash's hallucinations, Tex, the Meta) snubbed Chorus, which is fine, but a little sad to have the final season reflect on people from the past but not show any Chorusan past Grey. It's RVB, though, so the cast is way too huge for that shit to work out smoothly anyway.

Sarge's death sucked. I think I laughed through the whole thing because I was so baffled. It was expected, and while the comedy of it all fit him well, I just don't think it was good as like. His last ride, you know? He didn't die a valiant death, the comedy lead up was an "oh god don't do it like THIS please" moment for me. Subversion is fun but falls flatter in the very last installment of a show that's been going on for two decades. I kinda? liked that Grif was mourning it, but because his death was so lackluster the entire "This is the end for me" speech didn't grab me.

Seeing as she's my favorite Blue, I'm very happy they brought Sheila back, but bringing characters back randomly without…much explanation (did they explain that? Maybe I missed it) felt weird to me. I loooved Sheila's bits in the season but it felt like a forced cameo. Niner was similar, even if people wanted her back, but at least she had Sheila to explain her presence. Making FLISS and Sheila the same person was a crazy move I need to write a dissertation on though.

Speaking of feeling forced, half of Grif and Simmons's conversations felt so ingenuine. Like they were shoehorned in to MAKE them bicker and not natural. I knew (the second the season was announced) that they weren't going to do shit for Grimmons, but for ONCE I didn't really find…ANY of their interactions especially riveting. Simmons letting Grif leave was HILARIOUS from a meta standpoint. Physically splitting them up at the end as one last fuck you to the gay people.

Caboose felt better than he does most seasons. Still an ableist mess in some places but I loved his IDGAF attitude. The big Meta fight was just fun for him. He just wanted to win. He was fucking with Lopez on purpose, speaking Spanish and misunderstanding him. He should've been more of a little shit earlier on. His voice acting sounded good! Inflection is always annoying but it felt less…egregious this time?

Donut got fucking robbed?! Kai too?! What was the point of giving them development. There were so many places where Donut would've been great to have in! Throwing the memory unit at Tex as a parallel to their BGC rivalry, helping Wash through his problems, IDK. Sucks.

When the fuck did Doc die. Why him. (< Rhetorical questions.) Wash mental health stuff is awesome, though, I love psychotic Wash, even if the portrayal was a little predictable (to someone who was paying attention. I was thinking about Lopez) and imperfect. I'm kinda glad his issues were focused on without him being a major character. PISSED Carolina only showed up on his behalf and stuck around for his sake, can't a girl live for herself sometimes…

Ummm. Lopez was there. I want to wring him like a wet towel. He's medicated as fuck and got to talk to someone who speaks Spanish…and his WIFE was there…I'm so glad he was having as best a time he could and SOOOO glad they wrote him out early like I anticipated (just personally because I love-hate him, but it was cheap). Go on an adventure with Sheila gayboy. Run away from all of this.

TLDR: Overall, solid 7/10. I went into it expecting a 5-6, but was pleasantly surprised by it overall. It felt VERY forced in a lot of places, the pacing felt bizarre sometimes, I still don't even know where exactly this is placed in the overall timeline (and I don't care), but they did some fun things. I'm so glad it's over I hope I never have to see official RVB content again.

After about two weeks of this, he had another of the grunts find you and direct you to his tent

The intro started similarly to the Team Star theme, then dropped

He made sure to include similar structure and rhythms to ones you had pointed out in his other work

At the end of it, instead of an encore, his voice sounded from the headphones

"Y/n, I've been meaning to tell you for a while, but.. I like you. As more than a friend or right-hand man. Would you be willing to be my partner?"

You took off the headphones, smiling at him

From the cool lights of the Urania, we cut back to the warm light of Lovelace's brother's house. Shot-reverse-shot, Lovelace looks up at him; he's looking back at her, hopeful; a wide shot of the two of them, sitting at a kitchen table, facing each other.

Reactions to Days Gone By, Days Yet to Come

Here are my reactions and thoughts about the encore side story from Tales From The Dawn, which you can read HERE before proceeding under the cut. Beware: MAJOR Endwalker spoilers ahead! Keep in mind that I’ll be discussing my own headcanons with my Azem, so if you don’t care about that, feel free to move along.

So I want to just say that this was the absolute best side story they’ve ever written so far! And because it’s also the one that the community voted on, it makes it even more special. I’ve re-read it twice already and I’m so beyond happy to have read this. I’m still crying from reading it and processing it all. In fact, they gave us so many little details about all our favorite Ancients that I’m eating it up!!

First of all, I LOVE that this is all from Hyth’s POV. It’s fantastic. Anyways, next we get a detail about Azem talking to Hyth about the fourteenth in a series of concepts helping with travel, and I NEED to know more!! What is it?? I have many questions about this one thing in particular. Then we have a brief appearance from Byregot himself in the form of Hyth’s secretary trying to stop him from leaving but I giggled at the fact that Hyth just ignores him and goes to do his own thing. This has such gremlin energy that is so perfect for Hyth, but I also giggle at the fact that this is exactly what Urania would do as well. The sibling vibes are over the top here and I love it.

Then we get a huge lore drop that I wasn’t expecting at all: Mitron is a woman!! Which means that Mitron and Loghrif are both women and with the tons of hint drops we have throughout the canon, I’m here to say I’m celebrating the lesbians today! In my head this is Mitron x Loghrif as confirmed as a lesbian couple as we are ever going to get, and I’m soooooo happy.

Next we get another lore drop, this time with Lahabrea and Igeyorhm, and we have confirmation that they are cousins! This makes so much sense now, as we already knew about them working closely with one another and then they joined together in their fight against WoL in Azys La. I was never a Lahabrea x Igeyorhm shipper, so having them be cousins makes way more sense to me. Nice to see someone scolding Lahabrea for all of his Pandaemonium shenanigans.

Then we get Elidibus and I just know all the Elidibus shippers are screaming with joy. Whether you are a Themis x Erich or a Themis x WoL shipper, you’ve been fed, and I’m happy for you all.

Skipping over the part where I’ll blab about forever (ahem Hermes and his existential dread ahem), we get yet another Emet smile as Azem departs on their journey!! Ahhhhhhhh my heart!!! I am so full of emotions with how Hyth talks about Emet here, and in the parts following this scene. No matter if you read Hyth x Hades x Azem as platonic or romantic, or if you romantically ship only one part of them or none at all, you can just feel how deeply Hyth, Hades, and Azem all love each other. I can feel the love coming out of the words and it’s absolutely tragic and beautiful. Especially when you find out that Emet was the one holding out till the last minute to not summon Zodiark until they received word from Azem. God my heart just shattered right there.

And we also get confirmation that Azem left the convocation in order to find the cause of the Final Days and to stop it without the sacrifice to Zodiark. This was my headcanon and it’s probably a headcanon many of you shared, so to see this confirmed as canon sparks joy. It’s absolutely perfect for Urania, although with the new information about Emet trying to have the Convocation wait until they heard from Azem, I will have to reconsider her departure from Amaurot and her feelings towards Hades and Hermes now that we have this new information.

Another tiny piece of detail also confirmed a headcanon I’ve held for years: Hyth and Hades are childhood friends! I’m so happy to see this be confirmed as canon.

Alright, I think I’ve held off long enough. It’s time to talk about Hermes.

So, overall I’m so goddamn happy that we got to have more Hermes in this short scene. Every little bit of him I can get I will gladly take it. And I especially love that we are getting to see the man who lived through the Kairos mind wiping and what he was like after all of it went down. And yet… I feel completely devastated for him.

He looks like a wreck, he’s buried into his work, and he’s also deep in mourning with no one around to understand him. He thinks he has killed Meteion and says he “murdered her”, and it is so upsetting to see him like that. He also I believe is discovering the beginnings of the Final Days and I think he somehow knows that there’s something else wrong, something that he should know and doesn’t remember, and it’s tearing him up. But it’s even more tragic when Hyth mentions that he and everyone else talks about the Kairos incident and the “death of Meteion” as an “amusing anecdote”, and mentions that no one talks about familiars as people, so it truly shows how utterly alone Hermes really is. My heart broke when Hyth says that after the loss of Meteion, Hermes never made another flying creation ever again, and god I just want to cry.

I do like how Hyth is trying to be a friend and get Hermes to rest, and he’s doing what he thinks will help him. But even with Hyth’s caring soul, he just can’t understand what Hermes is going through. And it’s such a tragedy. It reinforces that even Azem couldn’t help Hermes in his time: it’s not until the WoL can offer the answer to Amon of “next time we will find the answers together” that he finds a true friend that understands him. And yet Amon is only the sundered reincarnation of Hermes, not Hermes himself. And I’m sobbing in my room on a Thursday morning over it all.

Now more than ever do I want to write more for Hermes. Not just in the tragic canonverse, but for the Modern AU that I have brainworms for, and quite possibly in a Happy Ending AU for him… with maybe Hali shipping with him??? It’s just a thought.

Petri!!! You saw the SVT Follow concert in theaters?? 😃 how was it? I’m going tomorrow, I’m so excited!! 😁

aaa i did!! we had very limited projections and i caught the last one in the nearest theatre (was running late, got there on time but still missed the beginning cause i went to the toilet lmaoo)

it was very nice!!! (genuinely no pun intended hahah) my impression is that it's made to cater to non-fans at least partially since there not only were crowd shots and funky editing choices (you'll laught at the camera spins over halfway through, im sure) but also the inside jokes weren't that many; a part of it is the encore stage and you know they love to fuck around then. i feel like the actual concert was longer than what the movie shows? then again i might be comparing the things we get during the duration of a song when im used to multiple angles from fancams online, you simply cant catch all the shenanigans that happen at once hahah

there was a part where i cried and then was laughing a few minutes later :') it was emotional

as for the cinema experience, there werent many people at all but i had to go and ask two girls to shush after 30 minutes of nonstop talking (during songs and ments alike and when it was all so loud too, idk how they were this easy to hear)

there were also these other kids who came in late and clapped and yelled and i was very happy to listen to them since if we werent all shy i think we all wouldve been doing that lmao

the music will really have you pumped, i started off just tapping my foot but at some points i was lip syncing, bopping my head, doing choreos with my hands and shaking in my seat hahah, i even forgot to look at the screen at times

my little advice is to bring earplugs if ou cant handle loud noises cause in our theatre they did selective boosting of the volume at times and it was overwhelming esp since the songs are so heavy instrumental wise (there are some rock arrangements!! youll love it)

all in all a very fun experience even with quite the empty room, i hope the fellow carats in your theatre are fun and you have an amazing time!!!!!!! you have gottt to let me know how it goes, okay? okay!!

Jikook After Tokyo

In 2014 Jimin said that he wanted to go on a trip alone with Jungkook. Three years later they travelled to Tokyo alone together. On 30th October 2017, Jimin and Jungkook returned from their trip.  A day later, Jimin uploaded a selca of them together in the dance practice room. The selca gives intimate vibes, with the way JK’s cheek is resting on Jimin’s fluffy hair as they lean against each other. You can feel their happiness radiating through the selca with their smiles. They’re glowing in domesticity and it was something that continued.

On November 1st, BTS performed at the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics G-100 Concert. All of the groups sang Butterfly together for the encore.  Jimin and Jungkook stayed close together as they got into position for rehearsals, nearly always touching. Jimin stayed behind Jungkook, with their bodies overlapping as they whispered to each other on stage. Jikook stayed constantly glued to each other whilst rehearsing and it didn’t go unnoticed. 

The bubble that Jimin and Jungkook created continued as they sang live.  Continuously giving each other heart eyes and whispering to each other just before the fireworks went off. They stayed within each other's orbit and these sweet interactions made some interested in their dynamics, aware that Jikook had just returned from their Tokyo trip together. Jimin and Jungkook seemed closer than ever.

The next day, the members filmed episodes 30 and 31 of Run BTS. The loser of the episode would have to wear their outfit on their way to Macau the next day on November 3rd. (Spoilers: Jimin lost.) Jimin and Jungkook stayed alongside each other at the airport as they walked past the mass crowds.

Shortly after they touched down, Jimin was spotted at a local hospital and rumours quickly spread. On the day of the concert,  BH announced that Jimin would not be fully taking part in the choreography on stage due to muscle pain. You could see how frustrated Jimin was on the chair with limited movement and the members made sure to include him as much as they could. They also tried to make him smile and comfort him.  In the Burn the Stage Episode 8, we saw more of what happened in the behinds before the concert. Jimin is clearly upset by his muscle pain and how it will affect the performance. Especially when it was the last leg of the tour before going back to Seoul. Jungkook sits next to him on the sofa as the other members discuss Jimin taking it easy during the concert. They express their concern and understanding of his situation, not wanting the pain to get worse.

The lyrics from “There For You” hit more when you realise that Jungkook would have been editing GCFT during this time. Just like how Jimin ran to Jungkook twice in London 2018 when he was also injured, they are always there for each other. We have seen so many instances over the years where they have been there for each other. It’s a very strong instinct between them and their presence alone helps the other when they are upset. Something consistent from over the years.

On 6th November 2017, Jimin posted a cute vlog in two parts of their trip to Tokyo. Jimin starts the adorable edit with the opening captions of “Finally the first trip.”, referencing his wish from 2014. The video features both Jimin and Jungkook enjoying themselves in Tokyo, sharing the various activities that they did together. He also uploaded a selca of themselves in costume, which they wore as they went around in Halloween undetected.

Unknown to Jimin at the time, Jungkook was also working on his own creation. It took approximately eight days to finish the masterpiece, amongst all the other schedules that they had. Often staying up late to finish editing, as Namjoon stated that he saw Jungkook editing at 3am. Jungkook happily uploaded GCFT on 8th November 2017 at 10pm kst, whilst filming the VCR for 4th Muster.

GCFT contained footage of their trip in Tokyo, with scenes of mostly Jimin being featured. Jimin responded to the post over an hour later, saying that “if hyung knew that you were going to make such a cool video, I would’ve cared more about how I look and I wouldn’t have done such weird things. Next time I will try to look better. Thank you for making this video. You worked hard.” The video shows their trip mostly from his pov. Jimin looks stunning as we see him happily walking around Tokyo or spinning in the tea cup. With the delicate choice of editing and clips to match the lyrics, you cannot help but feel certain emotions when you watch it.

The trip was obviously very meaningful to both Jimin and Jungkook.They both made edits of their trip which they then shared with us. They didn’t have to, but they did. They wanted to include us with their memories. They also continued to reference GCFT several times over the years. When asked “what was something you experienced for the first time this year?” Jimin responded with ``I went on a trip with Jungkook for the first time.”

After Macau and the release of GCFT, BTS travelled to America for the AMA’s and Mic Drop promotions. Whilst travelling, Jungkook asked to sit in the same car as Jimin. Jimin then posted a video of them on the plane. During the AMA’s itself, Jungkook continued to rub Jimin’s jacket. Jimin asked him to stop and Jungkook did, keeping his hand on his waist. Similar to the Olympics stage, Jikook stayed close together as they went to the main stage.

When they returned to Seoul, award season continued. They also completed their Wings Tour, with Jikook doing a charming and flirty Vlive together on December 8th before they went on stage. These soft and smitten vibes continued into 2018 when award season ended and they started to rehearse for 4th Muster. Whilst performing, Jikook flirted with each other and the fandom noticed that Jikook still had that certain glow around them. That they made each other happy and blush and weren’t afraid to show it. Something which continued throughout 2018 and later years.
