Laura genuinely makes me so sad, like I cried all silly sometimes ago cause we have a similar past but I went on and she’s like you know..stuck and I wouldn’t want that for anyone :( even if she’s fictional and a killer. I just wish to be kind to her for a moment and tell her a lot of women or really humans feel her pain, that it didn’t turn all of us into monsters. I guess it’s why I’m attached to her because I get it I do, but also…why I hate characters that have SA in their backstory cause it’s really depressing. She’s an amazing character but I can’t help but still wish her punishment and somehow through it all. Peace. That she gets all the punishment she needs and gets some peace right after..a good for good slumber. Even if she doesn’t get that, or feel worthy of it.
This ask actually made me a bit emotional, im gonna be honest. It's one of the most sincere messages I've gotten i think? I am very sorry about what you went through and I will do the same thing you'd do for Laura and tell you to please remember you're not alone and that i believe in you as a person, and that you're still able to move ahead despite everything that's hurt you.
Laura is a character built on cruel irony and tragedy, and many of her aspects are an exaggerated version of views that i also have because of my own trauma (aversion to men, aggression, anger, spite, stubbornness) and the crimes and attitude that would make her an irredeemable character are here to kind of cement the fact she went way too far in her revenge and how being hurt an turn a person into a monster.
But, i rally have to agree with you. Holy FUCK do i pity her. She's not reveling in her evil, she's not actively trying to do more harm (not anymore), and she's just in a state of permanent self-loathing and isolation, where her punishment isn't satisfying to watch or even really clear. You don't really wanna root for her morally, you just kinda wish she'd just... stop. And take a long sleep. Just like you said, a proper, defined punishment, and then let her sleep.
I think this ask sealed the deal of me giving her a canonically somewhat "happy" ending? Maybe a mild one? Where she starts to settle down and indirectly heal alongside Integra and Seras post-canon. A household of damaged women growing alongside each other. Im sure her Creator can decide on a rightful punishment when she passes. Let's just give her a bit of leisure for now.

From scrolling on Pinterest, I’ve discovered some things that I have questions about:
-> where does the whole “Keith is obsessed with moth man” thing come from
-> why is shiro referred to as a six-year-old
-> why did you guys decide to call keith’s dad “Texas Kogane” (this is actually funny so it’s not necessarily a question but more of an amused curiosity)
-> is Lance actually cuban or is that just a really popular headcanon/appeared once in a famous fic and everyone started using it
-> what is “shaladin” ???

The werewolf sisters
Please share my delight in this folktale collected by Charles Joisten, from Joseph Lauzier in Champoléon in 1960:
There once lived three girls in the old water mill at Mourinou. One evening, they dressed as wolves and warmed themselves around the stove.
Some young men from neighbouring villages came to see them at their evening gathering. They were known to be pretty girls! Before going inside, they looked through the window to see if anyone was there and they saw the three werewolves. One of the young men said: "We must go back and we will arrive singing."
So, when the young girls heard singing, they quickly took off their wolf skins and the young men returned. But the young girls had not had time to properly lock up their belongings in the cupboard; there was a wolf's paw or tail sticking out.
Then the young men asked: “Huh, what is that?”
Then one of the girls replied: “If you had come a moment before, well we were wolves and we would have eaten you!”

I like to imagine Eddie and Chrissy watching Jason and Laura being loaded into a police car when their crimes catch up to them. Eddie and Chrissy mockingly wave goodbye as the police car drives away.
Oh absolutely! Just imagine how incredibly satisfying it would have been to see them get hauled off to the police station. Let me see if I can play around with this here.
Once the effects of the special K have worn off, Eddie drops Chrissy off at her house early in the morning. He offers her his number and tells her if she ever needs anything to just call him up. Laura finds the number, calls it, and is livid that she was with “that devil worshiper.” She proceeds to hurt her (verbally and physically) and threatens Chrissy that if she ever sees him again that she’ll be kicked out. Laura calls the Carvers about what happened, demanding to speak to their son as soon as he gets home.
On that same morning, Jason wakes up and notices that one of the basketball players is gone. In his haze, he finds his friend’s twisted body (not Patrick because he deserves to live) in the woods nearby. The police ask Jason questions and he tries his best to answer. That’s when one of the officers brings up Chrissy regarding her connection to the victim and her last known whereabouts. When he gets home, his folks tell him that Mrs. Cunningham wants to speak with him Jason is absolutely furious when she tells him what she discovered.
The murders continue and Jason comes to the conclusion that Eddie is to blame and that he’s forced Chrissy to be a part of his “satanic cult.” She’s been “put under his spell” and is conspiring against him and everyone in Hawkins. So not only does he get his friends and the town on his side, he gets Laura to personally work with him as well.
After everything that happens in season 4, the gang returns to Hawkins and finally those two are arrested. For once in her life, Chrissy feels no guilt or shame. She is free. Eddie stands by her side, offers to hold her hand (which she happily takes) and they wave goodbye to Jason and Laura.

as a historical fashion enjoyer the quarry's "1950s" DLC pack outfits are a bit 'modern people trying to put a vaguely '50s look together with modern clothes' looking to me (which may very well have been their intention!) but here's some ideas because i love to be extra:
Tumblr media
emma inspired by casual marilyn monroe looks, but with a retro cheerleader ponytail. i liked the scarf idea but i thought her look read the least as 1950s with the colour choices and style of shirt/trousers. for abi i was looking at a picture of 1950s tomboy style with a bigger sweater and rolled up, masculine trousers. i thought as the artist she should have paint on her clothes, and her hair is curled tighter to look shorter and pinned with a barette. also for a 50s backpack, it should look like [this, probably with its own paint stains too.] for nick he's described as 'nerdy' so i added glasses (i think he had them in concept art too?) and leaned into that so he looks more like doody in grease live lol. the orange soda badge is a gift from a camper.
Tumblr media
jacob can wear jeans tbh there should be more jeans idk why supermassive decided that ppl didn't wear jeans in the 1950s, especially elvis-loving teenagers. the classic white tee, jeans and converse look is great for him he just needs the proper 1950s elvis hair. for laura's again i was leaning into casual marilyn , (like i think supermassive were trying to do) just more dressed down than emma with rolled jeans. and she needed a hat! so i also put her hair down. max needs a proper short, gelled preppy hairdo. also i don't think he'd be in a full buttoned up collar and tie to drive down to summer camp, so i used the same-ish colour palette but gave him a flannel.
Tumblr media
dylan's look was the most true to 1950s i'd say, so i just used a more exciting print for the shirt. i like the clashing patterns for him. ryan's was also not bad but has very little personality so i thought he could have more of that rebel vibe like again seen in some concept art for him. in the group livestream justice was talking about wanting to play a competent badass character anyway! for kaitlyn she's got the most tomboyish look of the gals, but i missed the colour in her outfit so she gets a fun shirt too. anyway, here they are!

I've given this thought and while I'm kind of sick this Xmas Eve ('cause fuck my life) I'm STILL going to make a little naughty...
(cut for NSFW words/ideas - set in The Full Deck series)
Laura thought she hated Travis when he was the sheriff of North Kill.
But then she met Sheriff Malloy.
Malloy is in his late twenties and a complete dick.
He's entitled, he's egotistical, and he bends the law in ways Travis never would and yeah, okay, Travis covered murders and held people hostage, but he didn't outright discriminate and use his authority over people to get what he wanted.
For example, Malloy is the kinda guy who will intimidate a woman into going out for a drink with him - like, ohhhh, I pulled you over for speeding (they weren't), but if you go to Dixie's with me, well, I'll treat you to a Cosmo and we can forget all about it...
...a Cosmo? What year is this? The late nineties? Early two thousands via Sex and the City-gendered-womens-drink-bullshit?
Malloy wasn't even the deputy! He only got promoted to sheriff because his Daddy painted the right palms green. So. Malloy is the sheriff and Travis's boss and a total tool to boot.
He also makes these snide little comments about Laura being a golddigger or Travis a cradle robber and Laura is looking for ways to get back at him when she gets lucky.
...and so, ironically, does Travis.
Because Travis has some sniffles and is told to stay home and work from there and Laura, with the day off, manages to come across him while he's on a conference call.
Sure, he's on mute (right now) and Malloy is droning on and on while other officers and officials listen in, but that's not the point. No. The point is, muted or not, they're on camera.
And Travis's laptop camera is small. And shitty. And pointed directly at his face, making it perfectly easy for Laura to covertly sneak into where he is and then down low and quiet until she can ease around his legs, right between them, and (in fact) beneath his desk.
Travis almost jumps a mile high and hisses at her to go away and Malloy's voice comes across tinny, asking if something is wrong and Travis has to unmute to say no and lie and say that the cat just startled him even as Laura's fingers go for the fly of his jeans.
Travis mutes again so fast and gestures at her to stop and to go, all while appearing casual and unaffected, but Laura has the most evil grin in the world and he knows what this means, because it's her 'I'm getting my way no matter what' look and he's already hardening as she draws him out into the open air.
And he crosses his fingers for erectile dysfunction of all things to hit him and hit him now to save him from this, but no - oh, no - he's already raring to go, like a damn teenager the moment she gets those pretty little lips of hers wrapped around his length.
It doesn't help that she hums like he's the best, most delicious thing she's ever had in her mouth and she's sucking and licking at him like he's a melting popsicle and it's true he is melting and his hands are curled into hard fists and one is pressed against his mouth and he has his eyebrows knitted together like he's thinking hard but he's really not thinking at all as Laura bobs her head smoothly up and down a couple of times.
She's looking up at him - blue eyes glassy and gorgeous and it's a very 'what's wrong, Travis?' teasing look and the hand that's out of sight from the camera, the one balled as a fist on one of his thighs goes to her loose golden hair.
His thick fingers plough through the silky masses, tugs and pulls, until he forms it into a rough, makeshift ponytail, the back of his knuckles scraping her scalp as he starts encouraging her, because his willpower is zip, and he can't fight the strong ocean tides of Laura Kearney.
She openly moans around him now and he's glad he has that one fist to his mouth and that the mute button is on as he groans and his balls pulse and if this baby girl doesn't draw off of his dick soon...
...and he's never ever thought of her that way before, but considering she's going down on him in a very pornographic way he can imagine her by a pornographic title and she lets out a whimper as she squirms beneath him and presses her own thighs tight together and slowly he opens the fist he has over his mouth, resting the heel of his hand against his top lip - mouth still covered - as he asks her roughly if her clit stings.
Laura's mouth is full of his dick and she's doing her valiant best to reach the root even as she shoots him a big doe-eyed sorrowful look and manages something close to a 'mm hmm!' in answer to his question.
Voice deadly soft, he whispers 'Poor sweetheart - I'm sorry it hurts, but you have to wait. Have to be a good girl and swallow me first' and she lets out the most fantastic sound
It's angry yet wanting and excited and he flexes his hips and oh fuck, oh fuck, it's happening soon. It's happening now and it's-!
Travis's head falls back and both hands are cradling her head now, practically crushing it, as he starts cuming in long, hard pulls - ropes of cum painting her throat and the inside of her cheeks and then she sputters and they're on her face and Travis can see the pearly sheen of his release and he feels like it'll never stop-!
...until it does.
It does and his head falls back against the office chair limply and out of the corner of his eyes he can see a red-faced, angry Sheriff Malloy and he pushes the unmute button to ask thickly "What?"
"Hackett! Have you been listening?!? I was asking you about the latest cases of graffiti tagging in Low End Park and I look up and you look like you're having a seizure! Did your old man ticker give out or what?!?"
Travis is about to answer only for Laura to pop her face on screen, her cheeks flushed and her eyes bright as she says, "No, his ticker is in great working order! As are his other parts! Gotta go!"
And with that, Laura snaps the laptop shut, ending the call.
And Travis looks at Laura as if she's lost her mind. And as if she's the most perfect, most angelic person in existence. And then she's crawling into his lap and biting her bottom lip and moaning, "My clit still hurts, honey..."
...and what else can Travis do?
He takes care of the situation.
Like he takes care of everything.
And, surprisingly, Travis doesn't lose his job. He does, however, get told video conference calls for him, from now on, are a complete no go. Muted, unseen telephone conference calls from here on and out.
And Travis will take that.
He'll take that and then some...😏

what are snikt kit’s pronouns?
well it's interesting, thanks for asking--
Tumblr media
Snikt Kit is too young to express a particular gender preference, so Logan uses kit's name as pronouns, until kit can choose on kit's own. for vibes, i tend to use "kit" in lower case, but you could also capitalise it, since it is Kit's name.

hey y'all - genuine question, how would people feel if i used wayback machine to watch old talks episodes and continued to liveblog them? i'm truly not sure from a Moral Quandary perspective whether it's worth it and would appreciate hearing how it might make others feel if they saw posts about it. (and i would never compromise on the rule to write the posts as if foster is not there.) not a rhetorical question, please let me know!

Hello 💗
I don’t follow you, I just literally stumbled upon one of your fic and spent all evening reading it. When I reached the end, my heart broke at the very little likes and reboots it had.
I wanted to tell you the story (payment due) was beautifully written and that I loved it. I wanted to share it gave me goosebumps and also made me laugh out loud.
I wanted you to know someone read your writing and felt amazing 💓
It’s unfortunate that the era we live in has people consume creative content without an inch of gratitude towards the creators. You create arts, you create beauty, and that deserves to be celebrated and cherished.
Thank you for your words and arts. 🌈☀️✨💕💓🩷
Hello!
Thank you so much for taking the time out of your day to send me this lovely message.
I honestly had such a blast writing Payment Due! It’s the first fanfic I have ever finished in my entire life. And I wrote it during my last semester of University along with applying to work in Korea and we were still in quarantine. So even though I had all of these things going on I was still at home. Anyway, that story holds such a special place in my heart because I had so much fun writing it. And let’s be honest at times it was just completely unhinged and ridiculous, but at the same time that’s what made it so much fun lol.
Either way as I kept writing and things got more exciting in the story, the engagement died down. And that’s something I completely do not understand??
I’m going to be completely transparent I have 3k followers and my engagement numbers don’t reflect that. Again, I understand that people have lives outside of this sight that’s completely understandable. And sometimes people that have followed me for years are probably not on here anymore. That’s okay!
I guess what bothers me a little is people who get asked to be tagged in fics and then they don’t say anything? I hope I’m not sounding to mean or ungrateful. But that’s just what my experience has been. Or on the other hand I don’t understand why people can’t just take 2 mins to create a conversation with me about my fics.
Like y’all I want to gossip about my characters too. Then again, that’s probably on me because I reply so late.
Anyway, just honest from the bottom of my heart thank you so much! Thank you for taking your time to let me know this. It’s hard sometimes to feel like you’re writing is being appreciated when all I see are ghost readers. With that being said I hope that people who read this don’t and do engage with my content feel like I don’t appreciate them because I do. I really do. And it’s honestly why I keep writing not just for me but for people who want to read my stories!
Thank you!

Florence watches Chris brush her hair in front of the floor-length mirror. There is something utterly, timelessly charming about a woman thoughtfully brushing her hair. It’s one of the treasured moments that make her feel less tied to her age, less tangled up in history. This – smooth, careful strokes combing through long, raven tresses – is a moment that might as well have occurred a century ago. Even though the brush wouldn’t have been plastic then, and undercuts were not yet in fashion.
Even from across the room she can hear Chris’ heart beating, strong and warm and alive. It’s such a common sound. So normal, so human. Everything she is not.
“You better not be making yourself guilty again.” Chris directs two reproachful eyes Florence’s way, her head still slanted and her fingers still combing through her hair. “I can’t be having that.”
Florence shakes her head, but Chris’ dark eyes narrow and she sweeps across the room to sit down on her lap, all sun-kissed skin and perfumed hair. She winds her arms around Florence’s neck.
“You know Goethe, right?” she asks.
“Mm,” Florence hums, more than a little distracted. “Nice guy, a touch dramatic.”
Chris pokes her in the ribs, making her squirm. “Shut up you didn’t know, Goethe. You weren’t alive in 1832, much less undead.”
“I know of Goethe, yes,” she relents, smiling.
“Well, he knew what was up, all the way back in seventeen-whatever.”
There’s poetry coming. Florence can see it in Chris’ eyes, in the way she draws breath, in the slightest change in her voice as she recites:
And she comes, and lays her near the boy: "How I grieve to see thee sorrowing so! If thou think'st to clasp my form with joy, Thou must learn this secret sad to know; Yes! the maid, whom thou Call'st thy loved one now, Is as cold as ice, though white as snow."
Then he clasps her madly in his arm, Then he clasps her madly in his arm, While love's youthful might pervades his frame: "Thou might'st hope, when with me, to grow warm, E'en if from the grave thy spirit came!
Florence listens, silently, her arms wrapped loosely around Chris’ waist.
“See?” Chris says. “Death means nothing love.”
“I didn’t know you when I was alive,” she says, softly, and painfully fond.
Chris face is close enough to hers for her eyes to be as deep as the night’s sky. “But you love me now.”
“Yes-”
Their kiss only lasts as long as Chris can keep down the rest of her poetry. She rests her head against Florence’s shoulder when their lips part and murmurs:
But from out my coffin's prison-bounds By a wond'rous fate I'm forced to rove, While the blessings and the chaunting sounds That your priests delight in, useless prove. Water, salt, are vain Fervent youth to chain, Ah, e'en Earth can never cool down love!
From my grave to wander I am forc'd, Still to seek The Good's long-sever'd link, Still to love the bridegroom I have lost, And the life-blood of his heart to drink;
She had never cared much for poetry. Not until she heard Chris recite it. “How does it end?” Florence asks quietly. “Your poem.”
Chris lifts her head and gives an indifferent shrug with her shoulders. “They both die, of course, it is ancient. And Goethe loved a tragedy.” She smiles. “But that won’t happen to us. I’ll join you. Some day.”
Florence sighs. Some day. She wraps her arms tighter around Chris, feeling her every breath and heartbeat. “That’s all well and good for you,” she complains. “But I have to face your mother afterwards.”
Chris laughs and it sounds like the memory of sunlight. “It’s her own fault. Tell her that if Ma scolds you.”
She rests her forehead against Florence’s, still smiling like the sun, and Florence can't help but smile back, fangs and all.
“If she didn’t want me to fall in love with you...she shouldn’t have named me Christabel.”
