Coupe du Roi : le Real Madrid battu par le FC Barcelone !

Les demi-finales aller de la Coupe du Roi étaient au programme hier soir et nous proposaient un classico entre le Real Madrid et le FC Barcelone. Malgré une nette domination dans le jeu, ce sont les Blaugranas qui se sont imposés sur le score de 1-0 après un but contre son camp de Militão.

The Murder of Jennifer Cave

Jennifer Rae Cave was an American girl who had recently moved to Texas. She was one of five girls in her family and had recently begun working for a law firm as a legal assistant.

On 16th August 2005, Jennifer and Colton Aaron Pitonyak, a finance major at the University of Texas, went to dinner to celebrate Jennifer's new job. They then went to Pitonyak's apartment.

On the morning of 17th August 2005, the law firm Jennifer worked at called her family to inform them she had not shown up for work. Jennifer's family discovered she had been with Pitonyak, when they contacted Pitonyak he claimed he had not seen Jennifer and told them to leave her alone. On 18th August, Jennifer's family travelled to Texas and found Jennifer's car outside Pitonyak's apartment, Jennifer's stepfather called the police who said they could not enter without a warrant. Jennifer's stepfather waited for the police to leave and broke into the apartment where he found Jennifer's body and called the police again. Jennifer had been shot and her dead body had been mutilated and dismembered. It was found that she had alcohol and drugs marijuana and methamphetamine in her system at the time of her death.

On the day Jennifer's body was found, Pitonyak and his girlfriend, Laura Hall, fled to Mexico by car. They were arrested on 23rd August by the Mexican Law enforcement and sent back to the USA where they were arrested.

Pitonyak was charged and convicted of murder, he received a 55-year prison sentence. Laura Hall was convicted of tampering with evidence and hindering the apprehension of Pitonyak, she was sentenced to five years. The trials both failed to produce much understanding of what had happened to Jennifer or why she had been murdered.

I just posted the latest chapter in my S1 rewrite. I think I only have 6 chapters left, unless something surprising happens, and then it’ll be DONE. I’m already ready to start thinking seriously about S2. lol. Let me know what you think!

Laura Hale has disappeared. Derek has returned to the last place he ever wanted to be: Beacon Hills,to try and find her. But that’s where the story you know ends.

Derek woke up from his usual nightmares of fire and Kate's mocking voice to his phone ringing. He grabbed for his phone, the only person who ever called him in the middle of the night was Laura. "Laura, what's up?"

"Derek, it's Martin Caldwell. Laura asked me to call you if she didn't check in with me by ten tonight. She said if she didn't check in she was probably in trouble."

Derek sat up in his bed. "Did she say anything else?" he asked.

"No." Martin said. "I know she was worried about some animal attacks that have been happening, which is why she came out here. But she's been tight lipped about what she's found out, I'm sorry."

Scott groaned pitifully from the floor. “You may not be, but I am.”

“Let the loser rest,” Jackson said with a preponderance of fake sympathy, polishing his claws on his shirt. “If he can’t handle it, then - “

He cut off with a yelp as Scott swept his feet out from under him.

Laura threw her head back with a laugh. “Now, that’s what I’m talking about!” She offered Scott a hand up off the floor, which he took with a grin. “Fight dirty like that every time, kid, and you might just survive college.”

Wake The Spirit

Laura wakes up gasping for breath on a hard surface. It's something solid with a lot of cracks, little pin-like things poking all over her back as she struggles on top of it.

"Mom?" She doesn't know what's wrong with her. Her mom would, though. She knows everything. Laura hadn't been surprised at all that she'd found her crying in that white room, in the space between worlds; she couldn't be with her all the time, but that was okay. Laura had been used to not having her around.

"Laura," someone speaks her name like a prayer, a whisper of awe. She recognizes that voice.

Her gut tells her she knows what's happened to her. But it's still a shock to her system—she is alive, she is alive again—when she tries to sit up and the person that helps her is Derek. Her baby brother.

He was so young when she'd left, but now he looks like he's been through hell. He's aged so much.

But he's not the only one to help her tilt her world on a different axis. There's a girl, too. She looks familiar in a way that hurts; Cora. It's Cora. She looks so much like mom.

"Cora." She didn't know that her baby sister was alive. How could she not know that?

Cora gives a small cry, a sob that's more like a giggle mixed in with a little bit of sadness. "Hey," she says, and Laura opens her arms. Someone clears his throat then, and Laura turns to see Derek looking away, a man by his side doing the same. "Here." Cora says, and helps her get dressed.

Laura is curious. Derek and Cora, they make sense, they're her family. Of course they would be here. (She thinks about Peter, but that's someone she doesn't want to think about, not right now). But this man, this man who reminds her of Derek's first girlfriend—brown hair, pale skin, moles—is not someone she knows.

But she can smell him. She's not an Alpha anymore, but she still has her sense of smell, and she can smell the ozone on the man. The scent of magic. He reeks of it. And so does Derek, and in a vastly huge quantity than Cora does.

Laura files that information away in her head. Derek has been through hell, but at least he hasn't been alone. That's good enough for her now.

When Derek and the man turn back, Laura opens her arms again, and this time she gets both of her siblings in her arms.

"We missed you." Derek tells her, voice choked up with tears.

"I'm so glad you're back, Lo," Cora agrees. But Laura doesn't know what to think.

There's always a price to pay for magic, and bringing back a soul is no small feat.

She lets her siblings go from her arms, but not by her side. She stares at the man with the tawny eyes, and asks with a deadly calm, "How am I alive?"

The man smiles. Looks at Derek, looks at Cora. Looks back at her. His eyes soften.

"Good things do happen, you know." He doesn't look stressed. His heartbeat is steady.

Laura isn't in the space between worlds right now. She's here, she's with her family, her pack, and this man has helped bring her back.

Laura takes a deep breath. Opens her arms. Smiles.

"Thank you, Derek's boyfriend."

Derek laughs like it's pulled out of him, and Cora says, "I told you! You and Stiles are so obvious," and the man—Stiles, evidently—grins until his mouth is almost splitting his face in two.

"I like you." He says, and Laura hugs him. Hugs Stiles.

Stiles and Derek and Cora. They're here, for her. Maybe she didn't fuck up as bad as she'd thought, if they love her still.

A concept: Famous&Rich!Lesbian!Laura Hale is living the best life she can. There are a few hurdles, namely, homophobic assholes who try to either "fix" her up or call her a bad girl. There's even a Facebook Page that asks parents to be wary of the influence she could exude on their children. Like making a name for herself as an independent woman, in a society where men thrive and reap most of the benefits, is something to scoff at.

Laura doesn't care. She's enjoying her life. She parties, she dresses however she wants, she meets new people literally every day, and she gives courage to those who are still in the closet.

She's happy.
