We really don’t know how much Ace knew about his mother. He knew of her sacrifice, holding him for 20 months before giving birth. He knew of her last name enough to take it rather than his father’s. But do you think Garp told him other things? Even just her appearance? Like how he got his freckles from her. Or how she wore hibiscus flowers in her hair.
