Okay tara lets do this. When you hit the grounds of the Philippines for the first time or your visiting occasionally and you want to speak Taglish (Tagalog and English) mixed or just the basics of Tagalog. Here are the basics of Tagalog to help you all out.

I gave you some examples for to speak Tagalog, they enjoy that foreigners try to speak their language, so don’t worry with English you can do it perfectly as well there. But one warning some words in Tagalog has another meaning in a language when you travel through the Philippines. Yes it’s not a dialect what they speak, but a language.

Today is EARTH DAY and the official theme for 2024 is "Planet vs. Plastics."

The main message this year is to raise awareness of the health risks of plastics, with a goal to phase out the use of single-use plastics.

How to improve your speaking in a foreign language?

Are you someone who can express himself well in writing, knows what he wants to say but when it comes to speaking, speaks slow and has to think a lot? Or don’t native speakers understand you when you’re speaking? Don’t worry. You’re doing great so far but you need a little practice. 

Here are 9 tips you can apply today:

Listen to podcasts, videos, movies, and vloggers

Imitate sentences you hear frequently

Pay attention to the intonation

Pay attention to how syllables are stressed

Record yourself speaking

Try to speak for at least one minute a day

Repeat your story multiple times

Talk with native speakers

Talk frequently to yourself

Exophony means writing in a language which isn't your mother tongue. While this may appear daunting in the Anglophone world, the fact is that people have written exophonically for centuries-- if not millennia.

Think of the age when Latin was the lingua franca in Europe. Yet those who wrote famous treatises in Latin, such as Newton's Philosophiæ Naturalis Principia Mathematica, spoke other tongues: English, French, German, etc. The same applies in other parts of the world, like the dominance of Arabic across the Middle East and North Africa. The various ethnic groups conquered by the Arabs became exophonic writers in order to publish works.  

I did not so much discover exophonic writing, as simply learn the name. Beforehand, I had written sporadically in French since leaving school. In September 2019, I began a journal logging my progress in different foreign languages. Only right before National November Writing Month did I discover the term exophonic writing, along with a number of famous writers.
