Idk which post that was but there was a comment that said, "Sunjae is so Han Seojun coded" and I felt a deja vu. The whole cool dude persona on the outside while being a softie on the inside...simping hard for the girl he likes but trying to make it not too obvious.
All the scenes they show with Sol reciprocating Sunjae's feelings is EVERYTHING I wanted to see between Seojun and Jukyung.
I know the True Beauty drama fandom has been divided between Lee Suho and Han Seojun from the very beginning. Even a huge part of Seojun fandom don't exactly ship Seojun with Jukyung because she never noticed his efforts. But that's how Im Sol and Ryu Sunjae started off as well and would've ended like that as well if the time jump element wasn't added to the story.
Even the fanfiction writers don't do justice a lot of times to this pairing,to tie up the lose ends and the what ifs.
Lovely Runner two sided confession scenes on the other hand...esp a well established idol Sunjae still hung up on that one girl he liked in highschool, who rejected his confession and him still keeping her photo...EVERYTHING ABOUT THAT SCENE SCREAMED HAN SEOJUN. And something I desperately wanted to see between Seojun and Jukyung.
And this is why Lovely Runner pulls me in. This specific reason.
I know people would say, what's Suho's fault in this. He loved her first and loved her sincerely too. No fault. I'd just prefer a Frenemies to Friends to Lover story added with angst and slowburn over another cliche Cinderella story.
After Seojun becomes busy with his career and isn't a constant part of Jukyung's life anymore- both due to professional and personal reasons,I wanted to see Jukyung starting to miss him inwardly. Even with Suho by her side,I wanted to see her struggling to come to terms that she feels like a huge spot in her life has been empty. Of course she doesn't think of it much other than missing a friend who was a significant part of her life. That changes when he hears Seojun singing a sing soulfully dedicated to her, making her involuntarily cry. Suho notices everything but says nothing for a while, hoping he is reading too much into things. But that changes when he sees Jukyung visibly upset over a dating rumor of Seojun. Even Jukyung is confused why she is upset that her once bestie finally found someone. Is she upset because she wasn't the first person to know about it, that she doesn't know what's actually going on with his life anymore...until Suho decides to speak up the reason- okay, I should stop here. This post is already too long.
But in my vision, Seojun and Jukyung(drama version) will always end up together when they get older because theirs was a very natural and organic relationship in contrast to the fairytale-ish Suho Jukyung.
And that is what I felt with Soljae. Sol couldn't see beyond Taesung and never even noticed Sunjae's presence but look how the time travelling changed things. Making Seokyung a thing wasn't impossible if makers wanted to(you have probably heard this for 98397584793485 times already).
Started it today and ended it today. This 8 episode long series is too intense to leave it for later. I binged watched it like I haven't done so in a while. It is the kind of series that is best to go into it without knowing much, unless you read the webtoon. I haven't read it yet, but it's a really short webtoon so I think I will probably read it.
Anyway, this series is not for the fainted heart. It has a lot of triggers and it can be gruesome and gory in some points. However, if you don't mind it, watch it. It is really good. It keeps the audience in suspense and it makes us cry.
The cast did an amazing job! Each person felt like it was Yi Jae.
Soleil enters teenagehood. . . clumsily. She's not used to the attention, and thank God her mom chose not to publicize her birthday - or her, for that manner. She doesn't like to be put in the spotlight, but what she does like is ufology and learning more about her half-alien heritage!
And her aunt Minta is her best source for outer space shenanigans and alien handshakes! Her father, an academic lawyer who ventures off around the world, is more or less supportive - he's agreeable on anything as long as she phrases it as "a quest for knowledge" or that sort of stuff. If only her mother was supportive as well. . .

an extra picture of Han-Gyeol because he looks so dashing in here!
I love space movies, especially when they're well-made, and The Moon pretty much ticks all the boxes for me. Tbh, the story is not original at all, and I feel like we've seen it in many other films over the last decade. Luckily, the director made sure to keep things as engaging and entertaining as possible. On top of that, the production values are fantastic. I have never seen better CGI in a Korean movie, and the sets are just stunning. That being said, the thing that truly carries this movie is the acting. This cast is full of top-notch actors, but the clear standout is Do Kyungsoo. He goes all in with his performance, and he's the main reason why you care about everything that happens. So, to sum up, The Moon offered me all that I wanted from it: a well-acted and enjoyable popcorn movie about space.

Here’s the thing. This is a phenomenal kdrama if you skip the romance in this. Don’t watch the last 15 minutes and this is *chefs kiss* I have no problem with a older/ younger relationship, in fact my parents were 15 years apart, but the way they set the couple in this one just didn’t set right with me. By the time ‘feelings’ started brewing between one or the other they both felt like a father/daughter or brother/sister figure to one another. It was just ick and I love Jung Woo romances damn it. Ugh. Besides the chemistry which was icky, the storyline otherwise was brilliant. Kept me glued to the screen to see if everyone would get their justice. Yes there’s plot holes, yes there’s bits where it’s uneven, but in the end Woo and the entire cast puts on a hella performance which pushes the story forward. Bring tissues, the drama is a roller coaster of emotions.
TL;DR – A film that is fundamentally frustrating, but even with all that, you can’t help but get caught up in the emotion.

Your Rang Yeohee stories have helped me through difficult times. Im obsessed with Lee Rang and I think you're the one with the most fics for his ships.
Please never stop writing for him and Yi Jung and Joon-hwi. There are many of us who love you and need more.
I don't ship Braime but I'm sure you do them well and those from that fandom would agree.
Thank you so much! I’m so happy to hear that I could do my bit to cheer up someone going through difficult times. That’s like the highest praise possible!
I hope you’re doing better now. Hope life treats you well in the future.
Jaime/Brienne is my first OTP. So they have a special place in my heart.
As for Lee Rang - he’s my obsession and I’ll do as much as I can to keep him happy in fic-land 😀😀
Solhwi didn’t get closure in canon, so I’m going to give them one as often as I can 😊
As for SoEul - they just didn’t have enough screen time and definitely deserve more!
