It is done. 100 clears, on this absolute bullshit fuck of a gauntlet. Claps all around, team. We’re never doing this again.

If anyone else is wanting to farm cookies in the current Legendary Gauntlet, I've found that a team of Sonia and N vs Uxie is effective for that.

N is one of the few pairs with the Piercing Blows skill(ignores Uxie's gimmick) that I have but I imagine you could build a team around the other damage dealers that have it too. Sonia is just a great partner to N cause she gives him all the crit and attack he needs most of the time and can heal.

Had it going on auto a few times and the AI seems to do okay. It does rely on Sonia getting MP refreshes on Potion though so bad luck will inevitably happen every so often.

I will say that this gauntlet is about as difficult as the previous one. I was definitely most prepared for this gauntlet out of the four we've already have. One thing I learned is that having EX tech units are extremely useful, especially if they aren't at 3/5 at minimum and they're gonna be the main damage dealers for your team.

*flashbacks to my non EX 2/5 Gladion in the last gauntlet*

They definitely come in handy for nuking an entire HP bar and "skipping" the buffs at each half bar.

Round 1 - Entei

Team Comp: 5/5 EX Falkner & Swellow, 3/5 EX Sygna Suit Blue & Blastoise, 5/5 EX Wallace & Milotic

Nuke meme. Wallace has so many multipliers for his sync so this was an easy sweep. Falker’s Fly was useful when it comes to dodging the Fire Spin on the third turn of the first HP bar and the Heat Wave on the third HP bar.

Round 2 - Uxie

Team Comp: 2/5 EX Rosa & Serperior, 5/5 Lucy & Serviper, 5/5 EX Giovanni & Mewtwo

Even though Lucy is Psychic-weak, Giovanni can clear this stage pretty fast and the team was fine even without any defensive buffs. Giovanni does have Endurance gridded just in case.

Round 3 - Tapu Bulu

Caitlin comes with Flameproof and Escape Artist as passives, and after gridding SS Kris with Flameproof this team was smooth sailing. Barry’s full heal was enough for healing himself.

Round 5 - Uxie

Team Comp: 5/5 Viola & Maswuerain, 5/5 BP Lt. Surge & Raichu, 1/5 Lillie (Anniversary 2021) & Lunala

Lunala just pierces through Uxie’s passives no problem. I gridded Raichu with Fast Track to help a bit with this team’s gauge issues.

Round 6 - Tapu Bulu

Team Comp: 3/5 EX Skyla & Swanna, 4/5 Bianca & Musharna, 2/5 EX May (Anniversary 2022) & Latias

I decided for this gauntlet that I was going to EX Anni May and SS Cynthia since those tech units were going to be my main damage dealers for their teams. I already have Bianca built as a tank because of Flint’s Elite Four team, so while I was tempted to run a double off-type DPS team, but I didn’t have the resources to EX Bianca so I just ran her as an additional tank after Skyla falls and for some additional chip damage. This team was just for the funnys since I wanted to counter Grassy Terrain with my own terrain team.

Round 7 - Entei

Team Comp: 5/5 Roxanne & Probopass, 5/5 Winona & Pellipper, 5/5 EX Cyrus & Palkia

Roxanne’s Trainer Moves basically covers Cyrus’s Trainer Moves so no need to shoot myself in the foot for Cyrus. While I was disappointed with Winona’s sync grid because it has no Rain Dance MPR, it was sufficient against Entei, unlike that dumb firey chicken from a few gauntlets ago.

Round 8 - Uxie

Team Comp: 3/5 BP Erika & Tangela, 5/5 Hop & Zamazenta, 3/5 Sygna Suit Cynthia (Renegade) & Giratina

It was funny demolishing Uxie’s second HP bar with a Ghost Wish sync move with Cynthia.

Round 9 - Tapu Bulu

Team Comp: 5/5 EX Leaf & Eevee, 3/5 Player & Tech Eggmon Nidoqueen, 5/5 Koga & Crobat

I went with Tech Eggmon Nidoqueen since it has a higher chance to poison in addition to Venom Drench, so I just debuffed Tapu Bulu as much as I could so the terrain-boosted attacks wouldn’t hurt me that much. Two Leaf syncs later, and Crobat swept.

Round 10 - Entei

Team Comp: 5/5 Misty (Swimsuit) & Psyduck, 5/5 May & Swampert, 5/5 Player & Strike Eggmon Gyarados

An actually viable Eggmon? Since when?? I was going to use my flinch team of Bugsy & Scyther, Sygna Suit Grimsley & Sharkpedo, and Whitney & Miltank since during the last Tapu Bulu Legendary Arena, I used a Falkner, Bugsy, and Whitney team to fill out the parameters and nearly took out Tapu Bulu before I purposely let the team die at the 3rd HP bar since I was seriously going to sweep with a freaking Miltank of all units. But after seeing strong Gyarados was, I decided to run an Eggmon DPS team instead. Besides, I could always use that team as a backup in case something happens.

Round 11 - Uxie

Team Comp: 3/5 Erika & Vileplume, 4/5 Kiawe & Marowak, 1/5 Selene & Decidueye

Would’ve EX Kiwae for this gauntlet but again, ran out of the resources to do so. This team was fine without it though.

Round 12 - Tapu Bulu

Mainly trying to flinch Tapu Bulu throughout the stage since I couldn’t run a full terrain team and Grassy Terrain buffed Wooden Hammer scares me. Got through just fine though.

In your opinion what’s the best episode (counting dlc’s) in the entire tell tale twdg series?

For me personally, it’s easily S1 EP5: No Time Left. Iconic from beginning to end, it perfectly captures the essence of redemption and pushing through adversity. The dynamics are amazing, especially how Lee reflects on everything while also acting on impulse simultaneously.

It brings out the image of a man who will stop at nothing until his task is completed, even when time and his body themselves are against him. Not to mention the emotions that it floods the player with.

i was thinking that maybe one day it would be cool to actually put some effort into doing ALL of the arena challenges in normal mode (i only did the last level in intermediate, and i don't hate myself that much to attempt them in ultra hard) but like...the last level in legendary is VS an apex thunderjaw and an apex scorcher....and the second level of the champion one is 4 apex clamberjaws with TWO APEX bileguts?! WITH the last level being a slaughterspine and an apex frostclaw??? bitch....i already have enough trouble with ONE apex thunderjaw. now to do it under a time limit and being charged 100+ shards for every try i want to do? yeah i guess these arena challenges are not for me lol :'v
