I really need help on this one, especially because I created it so I'm going to have to be his biggest advocate.
Hi, I'm Riley, I'm from the US, and I'm creating this fundraiser for Mohammed Seyam - who is in Belgium - to help his brother, Dr. Ahmed Seyam, and Ahmed's family. This message is from Ahmed with some minor edits for clarity.
"Hello Dear,
I'm Dr. Ahmed and am a surgeon working in gaza. I'm married and I have 3 children, the oldest 7 years old and the youngest 2 years old.
Now, in this barbaric war, I leave my family several days in bad condition and bad sanitation in small tents in Rafah at south of Gaza Strip during my duty as a surgeon, but the situation become critical and the health status for my children become worse due to bad hygiene and the shortage of water.
Also my flat in the north of Gaza damaged badly.
There is nothing left for me in this place. I want to flee with my family and find a safe country for them.
Help me. To leave, I need $30000 to do travel coordination.
This is my family:

And this is me doing my work:

The food actually ran out, and signs of fatigue and exhaustion appeared on our faces.
Weight loss has become evident on our bodies. Grains, flour, rice, fodder, and even animal feed ran out. There was nothing left.
Poverty, siege, killing, starvation, destruction, and cold. This is part of what we live in the southern of Gaza Strip. Children died, the milk of nursing mothers dried up, and we fell into a state of danger.
We issue the final warning: between life and death there are limited steps and hours."
Paying to get out through the Rafah gate costs from $7,000-$8,000 for adults and $2,000-$3,000 for children, and Ahmed is looking to evacuate his family of five. He will also need money for travel expenses.
Please help Dr. Ahmed and his family. Every donation - no matter how small - helps and can give hope.

Hello all who see this post! This GFM page was made by a friend of mine who needs a bit of help right now as you can probably tell by the title. I care about them a lot and the situation sucks, which is why I'm sharing this. Shiloh and his family can use all the help they can get- even if it's just a bit. Please consider donating if you're able or at least reblog to boost this post to peopke who can help. Thank you so much for reading!

Buy me a coffee ☕
I just moved places so I'm a little (well, more than a little) in trouble making ends meet this couple of months. If you have the meaning to buy me a coffee I'd be deeply and incredibly grateful. Thank you ❤
I'm also considering opening up commissions for some of my doodles, what do you think?
Stay lovely ❤

Happy birthday, Alan Alda
Alan Alda was born 28th January 1936.
The headcanon I decided on for purposes of All We Know is that Benjamin Franklin Pierce was born in August 1920, and he turned 30 some weeks after he landed in Korea. As we know, in the 8th season of MASH, BJ decided to throw Hawkeye a surprise birthday party. It is not headcanon, but merely my own wild internal amusement, that the surprise party BJ is giving Hawkeye in "Lend A Hand" ... is planned for 28th January.
BJ: "They're interested in you. You have to realize these people are very bored."
Hawkeye: "I seem to be the object of some kind of a conspiracy. So, naturally, I thought of you."
BJ: "I took the liberty of borrowing your birthday. … Hawk, will you look around? See how depressed these people are? They need something to do. A surprise birthday party is just the thing to cheer them up."
Hawkeye: "What are you, nuts? It's not even close to my birthday."
BJ: "Perfect! You're not using it. It's part of the surprise."
Hawkeye: …"And then, when it really is my birthday, nobody'll believe me."
BJ: "I'll believe you."
The following outtake is from the March section of "All We Know" - Friday 22nd March 1963.
"Hey, we just missed each other," Hawkeye said, still squinting at the list. "I got my MD from Columbia in '46. This is great. Thanks, Beej, I can use this."
BJ asked after a while, adding years up in his mind, "How did you manage to graduate in '46? You're the same age as me, aren't you?" BJ had graduated in '48.
"Six months older, even if you did try to give me a birthday in January, you fink," Hawkeye said. "I skipped a couple of grades. Androscoggin took me at sixteen. My dad had to drive me home at weekends."
"Hey, January is a great time of year to have a birthday," BJ said absently. "Of course, not as good as February."
"Oh, of course not," Hawkeye said.
"Frank Burns always made a big deal out of your still working in a hospital when you were drafted."
"He would," Hawkeye said. "I'd just finished residency."

I really, really need help on this one, please!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I've donated to Rozana more than once. She's one of the people I've been trying to help who's funds are just not going up, and I can't be one of the few people helping her. I personally cannot afford to be donating as much as I am.
Even a small donation can help.
Please, PLEASE boost and donate if you can. Don't just like this post, reblog it. Liking it does absolutely nothing but piss me off and want to block you if you're going to be that completely useless in trying to save lives.
I don't care if this doesn't fit with your blog theme, and neither should you.
Don't be selfish and try to save a life! Boost this post!
UPDATES from February 15th, 2024 and February 16th, 2024:

Thank you guys so much! Please keep donating!
UPDATE FROM FEBRUARY 18TH, 2024:
Tumblr media
Holy crap! Someone made a €300 donation! Whoever that was, thank you! Please, if anyone can contribute more, it would be greatly appreciated! I know Rozana and her family don't have a lot of hope they will be saved at this point. Can we show them miracles can happen?
And if you have any money to help anyone else, I've got plenty of people in my linktree needing help.
There's also quick, simple actions you can take there that can be taken daily.

For all the posts saying: "if you're not worried, you're not paying attention"...
I try not to burn life energy on worry when I can't do anything. I try to burn the life energy on something else that could help: cheering people up, educating people/sharing information, keeping myself alive, healthy and defiantly antifascist.
Worry just steals my energy. If I have $ to donate I try and put it to good use, support artists, acquaintances and friends. If I have time, I'll make things to share, or offer to help my extended community.
Yes, it's concerning. But I'm a student of history going WAY back and American history has a dark streak going back to before we were formally a nation, and we've never stopped.
If good people Do Something, we can make changes. Pick your Something. It's more productive than worrying, and someone will get fed or housed or comforted, and that's a concrete Good In The World.
