a sextile is an aspect that’s made between objects that are 60° (two signs) apart. since you have a 10H leo venus and your midheaven is in leo, they are considered conjunct by sign, rather than making a sextile !! if your venus was sextile your midheaven in leo, then that means your venus would have to be in either gemini or libra

but to answer your question, venus sextile the MC can be a great aspect for people professionally — leads to being well connected, good at handling collaborative work, adept at understanding contracts, these people tend to manage properties well, etc.

Decans/Dwads

Decans are another way to interpret your sign placement. Decans divide each placement into thirds. The first degrees 0°-9° have their decan in the same sign. so a Leo sun at 1° has their decan in Leo. The next series of degrees 10°-19° have their decan in the next elemental sign. So a Leo sun at 15° has their decan in Sagittarius. And as you may have guessed a Leo sun at 29° degrees has their decan in Aries.

Dwads roughly divide each sign by 2.5 thus making up 12 so they can have a dwad in any sign. See the table below.

Knowing your Decan and Duads can help you to find tune your planetary placements and behavior by understanding its influence. It is one of many explanation as to why you Sun in Leo is different then the other suns in Leo that you know.

Rulership and Dignities

Planets are all have their rulership signs which you should know from previous lessons. When a planet is in its Ruled sign it means that planet is comfortable in its nature and acting accordingly. If you will notice from the chart below there are three other categories.

When a planet is in the sign opposite its ruled sign it's considered to be in Detriment. A planets in that's Detriment is uncomfortable in that sign and can't behave as natural to the planet. Take Mars in Libra for example. Mars is a very decisive planet that knows what it wants, but when it is in peace keeping Libra a person can have trouble asserting themselves or making decisions.

When a Planet is Exhalted, it's in a beneficial sign to its nature and adds flare and flavor it didn't have in its natural state. Take Venus in Pisces, Pisces Venus can add poeticism, idealism and dreaminess you won't find in Taurus or Libra.

Lastly a sign in its Fall is when a sign its not comfortable in the sign its it. It is the sign opposite its Dignifier. Take Venus in Virgo for example. A typical venus in Virgo doesn't know how to be romantic they often criticize their romantic partners in order to show them they care. You may see some variation here in your research.

Applying Rulerships to determine chart Dominance

Let's examine this astrological table I found on google images

In this table the Sun is in the Sign of Cancer which is ruled by the moon. Therefore the sun is being filtered or deposited by the Moon.

The Moon is in Cancer its Rulership sign.

Mercury is in Pisces. Pisces is ruled by Neptune. Neptune is in Aquarius. Aquarius is ruled by Uranus. Uranus is in Aquarius. Therefore Mercury and Neptune are being filtered/deposited through Uranus.

Uranus is in Aquarius its Rulership sign.

Venus is in Pisces being deposited by Uranus. Therefore Venus is being deposited by Uranus.

Mars is in its rulership sign Mars.

Jupiter is in Taurus, Taurus is ruled by Venus, and Venus is being deposited by Neptune, therefore Jupiter is being deposited by Uranus.

Saturn is in Taurus, Taurus is ruled by venus, venus is being deposited through Uranus, therefore Saturn is being deposited by Uranus.

Pluto is in Sagittarius, Sagittarius is ruled by Jupiter, Jupiter is being deposited by Uranus therefore Pluto is being Filtered by Uranus.

So we now know the strongest planets in the chart are Mars, Uranus, and the moon because they carry the energy of the other planets. Which tells us the chart owner may be ruled by their emotions leaving them to be impulsive and unpredictable.

We Can Use the same system to deciding the dominant Houses.

The Sun is in the Tenth house, the Tenth house is ruled by Saturn, Saturn is in the Eleventh house, The Eleventh house is ruled by Uranus, Uranus is in the Ninth house, The Ninth house is ruled by Jupiter, Jupiter is in the Eleventh house which braught us to the Ninth, since these planets go back and forth we call it a mutual reception.

The Moon is in the Second house. The Second house is ruled by Venus. Venus is in the Ninth House. We now know that The Moon and Venus is deposited through the Mutual Reception.

Mercury is in the ninth house so we now now that Mercury is deposited through the mutual reception.

Mars is in the Eleventh house so we now know mars is being deposited through the Mutual Reception.

Neptune is in the Eighth house, the Eighth house is ruled by Pluto, Pluto is found in the 6th, the sixth is ruled by mercury being deposited through the mutual reception.

This exercise shows all planets are being deposited through houses nine and eleven which indicate areas of philosophy and Groups are very important to the individual.

Mutual Reception a term usually meant for planets suggest that the two planets are too driving forces within the chart that work together as one, sometimes sharing qualities.

Dominance by Element and Modality is Another

In this table we have see a Element of Fire dominance and a weaker cardinal modality. More importantly we can see their are no Planets in the Earth element which we consider void of if you disregard the Midhaven. Meaning this individual may be lacking the practicality of the earth sign. We can also see Void of Planets when no aspects are being made to a particular planet which is one form of Singleton. We also see they only have one planet in water. When a planet is singled out either by element, sign, or quadrant we call it a Singleton this can be a noticable point of focus for the native that many often learn to overcompensate for.
