the newest and cutest member of my little lizard family is my adult female flying gecko, ive wanted one for eons now and i finally found one in person at the wonderful twin cities reptiles, sadly you cannot order online from this store but if you are in the area i strongly suggest visiting them as they have a HUGE variety of lizards, invertebrates, amphibians, supplies, and feeder insects.

A scent you love:

It’s called amber! My mom and my dad made this box and painted it for me and put all these things it that were symbols of love and hopes for my future. This was during their witchy phase. And in it was this little boring vial of an amber colored liquid that smells… well there’s multiple scent profiles online to describe it but it’s warm. Not like vanilla more like smoke but certainly NOT smoke. Spicy but not in a cinnamon way. It’s my favorite smell in the world.

What's something you're looking forward to this week?

Hm… OH! I’m getting the leopard gecko tomorrow!!! I’m really excited!!! BABY GET.

What's the most recent movie you watched?

Barbie! I’d give it a 7.5/10 if I had to rank it but doesn’t really get across my feelings about it. It was a lot of fun and I appreciated a lot of what it was trying to say, but… well I feel like it was lacking in nuance which honestly should be expected but somehow I thought. I thought the feminist takes would be… more somehow? Great fun, absolutely stunning movie, just wish the message hit more for me. Still fuckinf cried tho.

Are you watching anything on TV or listening to any shows?

Scandal! My friend and I are watching the whole series together. Its fun and kinda stupid if I’m honest but I’m not watching it for it to be smart I’m watching it because it’s FUN.

Favorite season?

Depends on how long the current season has gone on. But really, I enjoy any session that isn’t winter. Seasonal depression is a bitch. I guess… Spring and Fall. I prefer when the weather is not too hot and not too cold.

What's something you've learned recently?

Hm… I’ve watched a lot of documentaries about deep sea life lately! I learned that sharks and stingrays are actually closely related (at least taxologically) and the third one of their branch is just so Kreacher. The Chimera. It gets its own branch and everything. It’s a weirdo.

yes my little fur and scales babies hehe!! i have 3 cats, a snake, and 2 leopard geckos. my cats in order are are mama (real name lulu but she is never called that- 4years), zero (or big fat man - 3 years), and goose (2.5 years) and my snake is named cinnabon and he's 7 years old. and my geckos are unsure aged because they came from rescue situations but their names are clementine and casper.

Hey lovlies,

I know its been awhile since I've been on here and you must be getting tired of how often I step away, and for that I am truly sorry.

I'll start catching up on messages, asks, and pendulum readings (that don't seem to have time sensitivity on them) in a bit. But I just wanted to throw out a message to let everyone know I'm not dead lol

Life updates no one asked for:

After my dad had his strokes, I pretty much stepped away from all social media so I can focus on my family. He's doing so much better now. We're all actually pretty shocked with how quickly he's bouncing back. He's completely changed his diet and after 30+ years, he's completely stopped smoking (thank the gods). Its been 2 months and he's already walking with a cane. No more walker for him! Even his doctor was like "most patients, IF they make a recovery, would take at least 8 months to a year to get this far". So with that, I feel that we are truly blessed that my dad is such a strong fighter. You wouldn't even guess he had 2 strokes just 2 months ago. I still worry though. His doctor has warned him not to have too much gusto or else it could lead to a heart attack. He's a pretty stubborn man, so here's to hoping he listens to his body when its had enough this time around 🤞

Tomorrow I will be 34 weeks pregnant!! Omg I can't believe how fast everything went. Baby girl is super healthy and going strong. I can't believe how active she is!! Its unreal.. i honestly never thought I would be a mama, but I have been blessed with one of the greatest gifts mother nature could have given me. Being pregnant during quarantine has been pretty difficult, but I've managed to see the brighter side of things through out it. My honey and I have been out of work, but thankfully my job has started me part time again until I have to leave for maternity leave in about 5 weeks and he's back on full time so we can catch up. *cough* if you're looking for a reading, hit me up *cough*. My only concern now is with hospital restrictions and if my honey can stay with me and my daughter after I give birth. I'm just so thankful that my family has been a great support system. Even with covid and social distancing, they still made their prescense known and I'll forever be thankful for them.

With that, I haven't been the only one super massively pregnant! Soul and Norbie (my 2 leopard geckos) have had their first breeding season together and Norbie ended up laying 11 eggs! Unfortunately her 1st 2 were infertile, so we ended up with 9 viable eggs. 2 of them just hatched! 1 a couple of a days ago and one I found this morning 🌄 they are so cute!! I'll post pictures in a bit.

I've also been taking this time to work on my craft. I have a lot of new things I want to share with you guys so please keep a look out for that! Lots of new tips and other things I've been getting into lol. Hope you'll all still stick around and enjoy them!

What I got out of the straw question is this. They’re like a lizard or snake. My leopard gecko has these head vents that I can see clear through like a hole, but they seal up when he eats. Snakes do something similar when eating. Second thing is that the creators of the females were like James Cameron in Avatar and went “they don’t breast feed, but give them boobs!”

Okay here I go over analyzing shit again, buckle up

I said before on another ask about female yautja having breasts, yautjas do not come from eggs, that alone can say a lot, they’re called sucklings or pups by their own kind, why call them a suckling if they don't suck? I like to think they aren’t born with full-grown tusks, that they do suckle for a while using that very same flex I wrote about previously, and EVEN if you say ‘hmm, idk Torke, this smells like bullshit’, WELL

The presence of breasts can mean OTHER things, like the presence of human DNA in their bloodline, interesting huh? Well, Big Mama doesn’t have female-like breasts, but sister midnight does, and this could be for a number of reasons. 

1. Maybe their breasts are only full when they’re with young, and since Big Mama was on her mission for a long time, it is likely that she didn’t have no pups at the time or at least none that were in the suckling stage.

2. Sister Midnight could have had young children at the time.

3. The human DNA is stronger in Sister’s bloodline than in Big Mama’s.

4. Maybe Big Mama never had children which caused her mammary glands to ‘stay dormant’ and flat (Highly unlikeable, given that she is an elite and was facing a near-death mission, so she should have at least grown kids around, but I'm just stating how many things it could be)

5. The comics are not the movies, there is very little reason to oversexualize an alien that’s all about to fuck people up and get trophies, if they wanted this effect, Big Mama would have big breasts too.

the character i am playing is named julietta montesino, but she mainly goes by juliet or jay or jj. she’s twenty six years old, grew up in the upper east side of new york, and is the demeter skeleton !!! now i know what you’re thinking -- demeter, coming from a city ?? how does that make sense ??? honestly, it really doesnt !! but my whole idea was that she was a source of life in the midst of urbanization. cheesy, i know, but in my head it kinda worked, y’feel me ???

below are some bullet points about her childhood !! i’ll explain a bit more below them but for now ~

originally born in madrid, spain to two teen parents that simply weren’t ready to have a child. she was only in the system for a little less than a year before grace and dean montesino, older upper east side socialites ( think gossip girl ) brought the girl home.

they brought her back to their main home in east hampton, new york, and that is where she grew up.

she was given just about everything she could have ever asked for, and still she had yet to grow a spoiled bone in her body.

went to a private school in the upper east side and was universally liked by both students and teachers

by the age of 20, both grace and dean montesino had passed away of old age ( as they were both well into their 70s when they had initially taken her in ) and from that she inherited their fortune, alongside their vacation home that was on kaos.

she’s lived there for six years now, and since moving to the island, she has started up a cute little farmers market that runs during the week and for a few hours on the weekends. she sells fresh produce there and allows people to set up stands and vendor stalls and such.

so !!! she was adopted by an elderly couple that hadn’t been able to have children of their own. they truly wanted someone to be able to carry on their family name and their legacy, and so, they decided to adopt a child into their home, despite having been well into their late 60s and early 70s. juliet blossomed in their household, and despite everything that she inherited, she never once let it get to her head. she’s very humble, and very generous and nurturing and truly just the most Mom friend you could ever have.

but be warned. she has a temper. big demeter temper. very much “hey i’ll fucking stop shit from growing until my daughter is returned” level temper. i think i mention that again in her headcanon section, but it’s a very big part of her personality. she’s usually a pretty patient and kind person, but if you push and push and push and end up crossing that line, it’ll be hard to once again earn your spot in her life. she has a petty streak, and is often times very overbearing and overprotective and, well, smothering. but know that she always has the best intentions, even if sometimes the best intentions lead to the worst scenarios.

and now, my favorite part. headcanons.

she has 5 reptiles. a ball python named Ellie ( bc demeters sacred animal is a serpent hehe ), two leopard geckos - castor & pollux, a bearded dragon named eragon, and a panther chameleon named pascal !

she has vacation homes all over the world that she inherited from grace and dean. one in Monaco, one in Italy, one in Bali, and one in London.

but she’s also very overbearing with a lot of her friends and she doesn’t mean to be but ,,,, she can be a little smothering sometimes

and by sometimes I mean all the time

as in she’s the type to grab a tissue and start wiping someone’s nose for them like “ugh you look so sick here let me–” cue the invasion of personal space

but she does it out of love I swear

people just need to remind her of boundaries sometimes

Because the building didn't allow most pets, Mama Midoriya had to get creative finding a little friend for her lonely child. Thus, Izuku has a snake he takes meticulous care of, and after moving into the dorms will sometimes let it slither into his clothes to hang out. It scares almost everyone by popping it's head out of his hair, starting rumors about medusa, and a theory if he's Uwabami's illegitimate son (and still All Might's. thanks Shouto). It's a small garter snake and poses a threat to no one but it has eyes that gleam from within the confines of Izuku's clothes, spooking passersby. Shouto is tickled by the idea of non-convention pets and is the only person the snake trusts enough to willingly go to aside from Izuku. It sticks to his warm half and he watches feedings with an unnerving level of interest.

(Dark Shadow will deny accusations of picking it up and putting it in the kitchen no matter how much you bribe him with apples) (can he eat tho)

When Aizawa bans more mammalian pets after the "Mina Incident," Izuku's plan to get Shouto a kitten is thwarted. But all is not lost. He gets him a leopard gecko and is all too proud of his "compromise."

Shouto loves her, and is almost too involved to be healthy. He takes her everywhere. He smuggles her in to meet his mom. He has her in his pocket during classes. She peeks her head out of his hoodie and thousand-yard stares at Fuyumi over soba. Natsuo reaches over to pet her head and she bites him.

Tenya temporarily kept an eye on the crickets Shouto feeds her and. One. got loose in his room. He's torn the place up and down. He cannot find it. It sings to him all through the night. Shouto got him noise-cancelling headphones in way of apology. Tenya takes special care to ensure they don't get damaged.

Ochako floated her once on accident and she Did Not Enjoy That. Aizawa walked in to hear Shouto say, "Geckos are of this earth, not the moon. You can't eat what doesn't exist." and made like a circle and walked out. (there no crickets on the moon) (right?)

Tsuyu is fond of the little lizard and likes to have fun by mimicing the gecko's eyeball licking when people are watching. (Let Tsuyu be a real frog thx.) She's one of the few people who can hand feed the gecko its bugs without freaking out about it.

Izuku has too many pictures of Shouto holding his gecko in his hands on his phone. His snake doesn't care about the gecko one way or another and both can be found under the same heat lamp if placed together for any length of time.

(the Mina Incident is basically the Gina Incident except with Kouda's rabbit instead of k-pop and the rest of the squad struggling to hold down Bakugou instead of Terry and the criminal in the background.)
