A lot of people are now speculating about Charlie remaining in Hell with Alastor and Niffty at the end of the series. I'm looking at those drawings in the background and it really does support that theory...
One drawing on the right looks like it could be Alastor and Charlie in the shadow, while the drawing on the left is Niffty with her bugs in the light..

Maybe it’s obvious, but you’re thankful for Gahyeon’s ass. A simple contract—if you need a cocksleeve to wrap you or if your girlfriend needs a toy to fill her, neither of you would say no. You’re nominally in charge today but the outcome’s the same either way, with cum seeping from both ends of her tract and your cock sore in the best plight a man can have.
Swift moans interject her snoring to surface you from your nap, probably because of flashes of biting air that creep in from some draft in the room. Her red crop-top is the only article of clothing on her scrumptious physique while you’re completely stark.  Don’t want to get up so you hold her somehow closer with no worry for your own frigidity. Gahyeon is tiny in your entwine. As you emanate heat from your torso to her back, she returns it tenfold between her legs.
The incongruity of her pussy is that it’s both uncomfortable and comforting.  Stressfully tight and lovingly wet, while grueling clenches verge on coaxing yet another orgasm from you. Its quaver can be measured in millimeters when your cock etches its shape more permanent. Yesterday’s regrets and tomorrow’s worries become dust in your brain as it toils to memorize each of her inner folds.
Therefore more than the mouthwatering shape or size, you’re grateful for the cushion of her buttcheeks because it rivals your couch’s plushness and distracts you from your imminent peak, your third or fourth today. Losing track is easy when she keeps your cock incarcerated for so long. The threat of climax fades away and returns as quickly while single pulses reiterate how close to the edge you are. No lights on in your living room. Don’t need them. Nothing in your head other than Gahyeon anyway.
Rays spill through the thick curtains and a sliver barely misses her eyes to fall on yours instead. However, she rouses too from her sleep when a pillow between her legs slips to the floor. Nothing funny but you both giggle.
“How’s your nap, babe?” you say.
She twitches at the warm air tickling her ears, and cold the rest of her skin, but you manage to keep most of your body stationary in Gahyeon’s embrace. Gahyeon yawns and stretches her arms, pushing back on the edge of the couch. “I think I had an amazing dream. Brr.”
“Dummy, you don’t dream until you hit R.E.M.” You point and she bends down to grab the thick blue blanket that fell on the floor. A small hum arises from you at the slight shift in angle. Look at the white clock above the TV and point again. “It’s only been like twenty.”
Gahyeon hands the blanket to you and you swathe it around your two bodies, calming both of your shivers. “Felt like forever. Pff, I was trying to be all romantic.”
“Why be romantic when-” Your words fall to breathy laments when the smoothest swing of her hips turn millimeters of movement to centimeters. The friction from only fractions of your length force a whimper out of her as it does a throb from you.
Gahyeon’s moans turn to more desperate whimpers in kind. Her hand aims below her crop-top and your shaft feels the curious kneading of her fingers below her belly button. Another throb. “Fuck. I still feel your cum inside. It’s almost too much.”
“Then why are you grinding so much? I’m barely running on empty.”
Your head is so fuzzy, you can’t tell how she manages to get on top of you while keeping your cock inside the entire time. For as savory as it is to look or smell or listen to her cute grunts, the only sensation that passes to your mind is her tightness twisting around your shaft.
Gahyeon sits up and collects a bit of leakage with a finger, provocatively sucking it. “Nice try but I know the taste of your fresh load.”
“Fuck, you make my cock so sensitive. Such a good cumslut.”
She gulps and bats her eyes so you pull her hair down, and your lips converge. Your core reignites when Gahyeon starts jolting her hips down hard on yours, and you note that her walls aren’t just clingy with your semen but that her pussy is lubricious with girl cum. It’s her turn to be the fucktoy but she’s stalwart in riding you. You’re in no condition to object.
Gahyeon looks up at the clock and she slows down though not fully arresting her momentum. “Wait a sec, why didn’t you tell me the time?” she says after a thrust and a pant.
You shrug and she blows air out of her lips. Not a mind reader here.
Her pussy almost snaps shut when she gets off you. She steals the blanket while she’s at it. ”Right, should’ve told you to remind me. How am I supposed to focus on the performance later with this in me the whole time?” Gahyeon says, wiping the sticky load dripping from her other lips.
“Man, the blanket’s gonna be sticky now.”
“Sorry babe, I’ll try to do a better job keeping it inside me, okay?”
Stand up and grab some tissues for the fluids coating her groin before you clean yourself the same. You shiver at the air occasionally sweeping the room because you don exactly one less garment than Gahyeon, but it’s about making a statement. It’s your apartment dammit so you can be nude at any hour if you want to be.
Widen the curtains and suffuse the room with natural white light. Look outside, your undraped stature proud and unsympathetic to the outside world to which you expose yourself. Sky and trees are near monochrome as the snow piles up on the grass which adds to the subtraction of color.
“You’re so weird,” she says. Your dick flops as you turn around and flaunt your butt to mother nature itself, knowing its coldness towards you isn’t solely metaphorical in this season.
“This is our first winter together, my first new year in my own apartment. I have to be excited.” You raise your arms.
“Fair. You wouldn’t be here without me.” A signature curly smile and she joins your side to admire the snowy sight, letting you share in some—no, not all—of the warmness of the blanket.
“I mean if we were normal, I wouldn’t have left.” You hug Gahyeon and give her a smooch on her forehead. “But I needed my own place for my little cum-hungry, cum-greedy cockwarmer.”
Pink always spreads her cheeks at your brazen words. Her tummy presses on your softening cock and brings it back to life but she backs away. Gahyeon brings the back of each of her hands to her sides. “Right, speaking of which. Can I take one of my panties from your drawer?”
“You didn’t bring any? Hold on, that was supposed to be a secret!” you say.
“Yeah, obviously I know about them, stupid. You didn’t even notice when I packed a couple in there myself when you moved, did you?”
She’s right, you didn’t, so shake your head. Gahyeon giggles then gives you the blanket again before she heads to your room. “I’ll be back soon, okay!” she yells while you fiddle with the thermostat.
Grab some tortilla chips from the pantry then sit on the couch bundled in the blanket and turn to a channel that’s just playing a loop of a fireplace. At least the crackling sounds realistic with your speakers.
In only a few minutes, she already has a full winter outfit on, a bright tomato that would stand out sorely in the snow. The apartment is already a lot mellower so you put the blanket away to wash later. Gahyeon is enticing no matter what she wears but you’re warm inside seeing your girlfriend wrapped up, though warmth also comes from the humiliation finally setting in from the contrast between her state of dress and yours.
“Did you hear me? I said I’ll be back soon.”
“Come on, the apartment isn't that big.” Get up to kiss her goodbye. ”Hurry back. There should be plenty of sun left and I wanna see the sun shine on your face with my cock in it.”
Open your laptop on your coffee table and promise to yourself that you’ll finish editing that teaser. It’s just a little distraction when you pore over videos you worked on recently, just reviewing your work to get ideas for how to cut. However, like a good and fully whipped man, one thing leads to another, one Dreamcatcher music video later—you’re proud of working on that one—and you’re back to the fancams of your girlfriend dancing. A similar, but less revealing crop-top, brief black shorts that strut the beautiful width of her thighs that you live between. Losing much weight, they’re still ample enough to stifle your cock on their own, without her amazing pussy’s help. Your erection should be exhausted but it returns at the sight of the jiggling. Two hands begin their work as Fly High plays.
A fluffy red jacket slams into your head. “You slob, put some clothes on!”
“What are you doing home?”
“Look at all the snow! What are you doing naked?”
“It’s my apartment, dang it! You know I’m naked all the time.” Didn’t mean to raise your tone there but she looks a touch distressed. You run up to her and give her a heavy drawn-out embrace.
“Babe,” she says, a little reluctant in the hug.
“I’m sorry. Please, forgive me.”
“No babe, it’s fine.”
“I was jerking it to you if it helps.”
“That doesn’t help, stupid. You’re gonna get this dress messy!” Gahyeon grabs your dick which leaks some precum. She bites her lip.
“Oh, sorry,” you say. You back off and retrieve the parka that fell on the floor and from all its pockets spill condoms like a deck of cards and a bad hand.
“Holy shit,” Gahyeon says. Whatever minute ire that remains burns away at her adorable laughter mixing with yours.
“Fuck, imagine if someone caught you with those.”
“Shit. Yoobin almost put her hand in my pocket for no reason.”
“Nah, she would’ve laughed just as hard.”
“You’re right.” Gahyeon bends down to pick the condoms up and you take your sweet time to help her. “We haven’t used these in so long,” she says.
“You wanna? Old time’s sake? Ha, fuck no.” Feeling bad for making her do all that work to appreciate her ass even in the baggiest pants possible, you spank her.  Wait, that’s not the solution. ”You should change first. I’ll clean up.”
There’s grey shorts and a plain white shirt in the dryer, so grab them. Gahyeon returns with her hair in twin buns, a short pink skirt and a white long sleeve half-shirt that manages to show off her cleavage from the top and the bottom.
“I hope that’s not a stage outfit.”
“Of course not. I just wanted to look more like a dumb slut for your dick.”
And with that, thoughts empty. As she crawls towards you, grab a wad of her hair. “So it’s like that today. Well shit, good job.”
“Thank you!” Only the corners of Gahyeon’s lips turn. “A good toy only has one purpose.”
Fulfill that purpose and shove her head down to its rightful place. Gahyeon takes a single stroke into her throat, with nary a sound as she takes the entire length into her practice throat, but she pulls her lips back up to your cockhead. “You’ll be good there?” you say.
“Mhm,” she says with her usual mouthful.
You get a bit of video cutting done for an hour or so with her lips on your cock head, occasionally patting her head. Occasional moans slip out but you keep focused and erect at the same time. At some point during your work, you offer her one of your earphones to listen to your synthwave music. Despite maintaining an enthusiastic hold on your tip, Gahyeon looks a little tired from kneeling so long.
“Aww, baby, do your knees hurt?”
“Mm, I’m fine,” she mumbles while keeping her lips on your tip.
“Why are you pouting a little then?”
“I’m sorry.”
“Hey, come here.”
Stoop to give her a passionate, drawn-out kiss, though it always turns out the same. You realize how long you could do nothing but make out with your girlfriend. You love the way Gahyeon competes with you, where your tongues battle and you each threaten to suck the air out of each other’s lungs. It’s impossible to keep your heart’s pace steady and you’d be remiss for your hands not to dig into every inch of her skin as she wanders the same on you.
Of course, there’s only one place those hands could lead to. Smack. You swear her ass ripples. “Now get back to sucking slut.”
You wipe the drool off your face but you interrupt her doing the same; she looks good messy. Gaheyon lays on the couch with her head on your lap. You can’t see her face but if she needs to get a better angle to watch Knowing Bros, then so be it. Her lips fasten your cock just the same. She sticks her ass up and a reflective circle seals her asshole.
“Where’d you get that?”
“Friend got it for Christmas, secret Santa.”
“Bora?”
“Mhmmmm-” Gahyeon draws out the vibration of the last consonant on your cock.
A couple of hours later, you finish your work and send emails.  Once in a while you stroke her hair but she gives more suction in response, sending you ever closer to release. How greedy of her, she’s certainly swallowed enough cum just from premature singular pulses but Gahyeon doesn’t stop when you lay down the law and slap her ass.
“Whose turn is it. huh?”
Every hit of her ass emboldens her sucking, as she goes deeper.
“So you wanna be a brat? I said, whose turn is it!”
She gags for the first time in a while, spewing much spit, when you pull slowly but abruptly on the shiny buttplug after slapping her ass a final time. Lube spills out.
Gahyeon breathes heavy breaths on your cock. “Fuck. I’m sorry, sir.”
“Woah. Now that’s new.”
“I guess it just came out naturally. Sir.” She licks up the froth on your cock.
“I don’t mind if you say it.” You circle her asshole with your finger and taste the lube. Sugary but you can’t think of the flavor. Not that you can think of much of anything.
“Only if you call me ma’am when it’s my turn.”
“Deal.”
“Thank you sir.”
She keeps your cock snug in her mouth. Browse your phone and decide to get some Jjamppong delivered, perfect for the cold.
“Gahyeon? Babe?”
Was she really? Incredible. She manages to doze off with a cock filling her mouth. That’s new. For all the times you’ve fallen asleep during tantric sex, it’s always been inside her pussy or asshole. How she incessantly drools while her head wriggles nearly makes you unload on her unconscious tongue but you hold it in, allowing only a few spurts to leak.
Unfortunately, you have to wake her up when you get the order from the door. You have to get some final work done but she eats dinner, sitting your dick. Your laptop is on her lap while you rest your chin on her neck. Tickled, Gahyeon giggles in between slurps of noodles. The lack of movement agonizes both of you but it keeps you focused. You could spend all day fucking each other; in fact, you have.
The winter sunset lights your room the colors of candy like artificial strawberry and sweet tangerines, though snow still storms down to desaturate the world. You’ve had enough productivity for one day. Gahyeon shares the soup with you, but after she sets the bowl down, she twists her hips in a quick motion and you explode without warning. Five or six? It’s only a curt removal of your soul from existence but you puff and pant anyway.
“Fuck, I’m sorry sir. I should’ve warned you.”
“It’s fine.”
“But I can’t let this cum go to waste, can I?” At some point during your orgasm, she withdrew herself and now she’s licking up and down your soft shaft to clean any cum that you didn’t shoot inside. “Damn, I just wanted to get my vibrator.”
“It’s okay Gahyeon, get it. I. I definitely need some time to recover.”
“I guess even you have your limits.” She grins, then leaves for the bedroom.
Gahyeon returns and a loop of a pink wire sticks out from her pussy. Now the only thing she wears is that thin strip of a top. Take off your shirt to match. “The egg this time?” you say.
She nods. “Here’s the remote.”
Get your Switch and play some Smash while she washes some dishes and organizes clothes that she’s brought over. Apparently you mix your clothes with hers often, which shouldn’t be such an issue considering how different your sizes are. Every time you lose a game, you turn on the vibrator for a few moments. You get a kick out of watching her buckle. If only you could do this while she performs live.
“You wanna head to the bedroom? It’s getting dark, uff.” A quick press of the highest setting and Gahyeon’s knees knock together. It never takes too long for you to get hard again when you see her put all effort into standing. “You- Ahhh, fuck, I love you. I hate you.”
Maybe it’s because you have yet to turn the intensity down. With a full hand on her ass and the other on her back, carry her to the bedroom but her wriggling hobbles you. An early left turn.
“I already showered earlier. Sir, please I’m getting so sensitive.” Gahyeon rotates through many different faces, from agony to excitement to pleasure.
Set her down in the hot tub and her crop-top lands in the laundry basket perfectly.
“Nice throw.” Gahyeon high-fives you. She almost distracted you with that great throw. “Tsk. You’re still keeping that vibrator in you. Just what you deserve for making me cum when I didn’t even finish eating.”
Your apartment is relatively small for its price, but there were certainly no expenses spared for the bathroom. Both your shower and your jacuzzi could fit three people. It has the biggest panes of glass and provides no privacy but you love the ambiance especially during a night shower. Gahyeon’s moaning goes from having a quick rhythm to intense, long held notes. She’s playing with herself in any way that she can to make her climax, manically stroking her clit while she teases pulling the metallic plug in her ass. Turn off the lights and cocoa candles fill the scent of the room. Finally, remove her vibrator and buttplug.
“So fucking yummy. Come here,” you say, holding her neck carefully as you get in the tub to crash your lips into hers. After what feels like hours of kissing even if it is only a few minutes, you lay down in the hot-tub and Gahyeon straddles your thighs.
“So which is going to be?” She glances next to the sink. ”Guess the lube isn’t for my pussy. Wait, why’d you turn on the water? It’s gonna wash away the lube. Woah, isn’t it my turn-”
When you pull her groin up to your face, extra force on her clit shuts her up and nearly instantly drives her to orgasm. Gahyeon always grabs your hair and locks her legs together when you make her cum with your tongue but especially after all the stimulation of the vibrator, you have difficulty breathing. It’s worth it. She whimpers as your lips work relentlessly on her pussy but you settle down after a while. Hot jets of water blast on your back along with her legs. Gahyeon continues riding your face while she talks about her performance. Apparently the snow had a lot of the production people hold up. She brings a dewfall and you could taste her syrup forever but your cock aches once again. Maybe it’s asking you to chill out and that it needs a break, but if that were true, it wouldn’t be as hard as ever.
“I’ve had enough of your pussy today,” you say.
“Really sir? Didn’t know that was possible.” Gahyeon needs no directions, your tongue licking up her body as your hands pull her last garment away.
“Siri, play relaxing radio. I’m staying in your ass until I cum.”
The middle of an R&B chorus plays. You get up to take the lube and Gahyeon drains the tub until only a little water remains. Her fingers wander and she vigorously rubs her clit while a curious thumb circles her asshole. Take a glob of the vanilla flavored lube and spread it on your fingers. Gahyeon sucks on your index, which goes straight to her asshole. Its wetness helps the tight ring expand slowly around it and the familiar pucker on your finger excites you. Get underneath her so that she’s laying on top of you while you sit back against the tub.
“God. I’m never getting used to how big you are.”
There it is. The tip of your cock vanishes into her tight asshole and you try to hold in a high whine, though Gahyeon lets out plenty of squeals as lube makes the entrance slick, squishy noises. Let her ass sink in with only her weight and it wraps down your shaft inch by throbbing inch. At last. She’s all the way down. If only you could see her face, but the position is comfortable and you get the pleasure of sucking on her neck while playing with her tits from behind.
The glow from the moon finds an angle into your room, mixing candle flame yellows with its white. Fierce winds push the falling snow outside of your window sideways. You’re warm nonetheless.
Midnight, the radio says as a new host talks about the inclement weather, but it’s not enough to keep you from kissing up and down Gahyeon’s back. Play with her nipples and the miniscule action not only gets them hard, but makes her ass’s folds react and roll to the pleasure. The breeze blows, a more important sound manages to distract you.
“Sir, do you hear that?” Gahyeon says.
“Yeah!” You hum along to the melody of Jazz Bar. “Hey, that’s you singing.”
“It’s not even one of our title tracks. I have to tell the members.”
Gahyeon almost gets up from her but her head turns and shakes, realizing your thickness twitching as she almost fully unsheathes her ass. “Fuck.”
“Hold on. What’d I tell you?”
“Oh shit. Sorry. Sir. I can tell them later.”
“You know what. Just for that.” Pick her up, holding her thighs carefully to keep your cock in her asshole. The position is awkward, but you manage to lay her down prone without withdrawing your erection.
“God, I love the way your cock hits.” All agreements and contracts are lost when you look at how the fat and muscle collects in Gahyeon’s full ass. A single thrust in and you can see the weight of the smack of your groin on her cheeks, so you endeavor to learn more about physics, even during the snow day. Slam into her and as you go in and out, Gahyeon yells and swears louder and louder, threatening to let all the neighbors know. No, of course they already know. It makes your eye contact with them hilariously awkward and it makes Gahyeon’s mask and disguise even more necessary.
“What a bad girl,” you say with a powerful shove.  ”Can’t even be a good cockwarmer, god.” Plunge and dive, your cock tries its best to widen her asshole but no matter what, it strangles your shaft taut. “Your butthole is just too. Fucking. Tempting.”
“Yes! Yes! Sir please, I’m going to- I’m just about to. Fuck. Shit I was so close.”
Chuckle at seeing her distraught face. “I’m getting some beer. Also, I want to finish in the bedroom. More comfy.”
She takes a minute to find her breathing but she gets up and grabs the lube. “Don’t have work tomorrow?” Gahyeon says.
“Lemme check.” When you both get to the bedroom, you check your phone. Nothing til noon. Perfect. Grab some beer in the minifridge in the corner of the room, while Gahyeon fixes her hair and lays down on the bed. She pats the mattress with both hands next to her. Missionary, it is then.
A hand to her chin. “Wait a second, didn’t you say you weren’t leaving my ass until you came. Hmm,” Gahyeon says. She gives a quick smooch and smiles naughtily. You could stare at her lips upturning all day. It’s her signature weapon.
Take a sip of the bottle of Cass. “What are you gonna do about it?” She digs her nails into your back to pull you and your cock finds the purchase of her asshole anew. In between thrusting motions, you take bigger swigs of the beer and offer some to her. She spills a bit on her tits and you lick it up. Suck on her tits as she pounds her ass into your erection.
“Stretch me out, fuck me harder. Harder, sir!”
“God, mmmm, ugh., ugh.” Can’t speak much anymore.  Both of you love dirty talk, Gahyeon especially knows how to whisper to tickle your ear but she also knows how to scream to get your instinctive side out. You hold her neck as you hold the bottle, careful and secure. Her tightly drawn anus responds the same as her pussy when you choke her, as they each try frenetically to wring you dry. However, the friction of her ass, even with all the lube, arouses your cock harder somehow. This is the life you chose, in a way the most tiring work you could ever imagine.
Gahyeon grabs tighter and her whole body ripples at the force that you both put in. Not a single qualm about your lifestyle. Any pretense of space between you two is gone as every inch of your skin slaps against each other. A final gulp from the bottle.
“Right there, right there, yes sir, baby. Cum with me!”
There isn’t much of you left but it’s still a flash freeze, a blizzard and pouring hail slamming into you when you cum, and she shakes doubly so in her orgasm as she’s had double yours today. The throb of your shaft doesn’t match the squeezing rhythm of her sphincter and inner walls which makes your cock spurt with more intensity than you could think possible, even bearing your stamina. Your sticky semen replaces the slippery lube inside her ass but you didn’t need its stickiness to slow your rhythm as your dick gets softer. You let minutes pass anyway to feel her muscles react to the load sloshing around and so that it’s not as difficult to extricate your softness from her greedy butthole, though it takes a slow removal anyway with its tightness. Both of you limp over and Gahyeon is fast asleep, but you scramble to return the buttplug and keep the cum inside.
“Keep warm! It’s going to be like this all winter. Tomorrow, it’ll be a high of -5 and a low of -20 and that snow will keep piling up-” Turn down the volume so that it’s not muted but soft enough that you can hear the wind howl past your windows just as loud. Nothing amazes you more than the tiny idol asleep and cutely snoring while her pussy throttles your shaft. Looking at Gahyeon’s ass and feeling her shake it as you try to fall asleep, something tells you it’ll be the warmest winter you’ll ever have.

AFF, AO3
Something quick with my favorite kink for my second favorite in Dreamcatcher. Also got a draft for my ultimate bias but that’ll take time as well. Woops, yet another thing to procrastinate on while I shirk on both real life and writing.

The thrilling conclusion. (may not actually be thrilling/a conclusion) Part 1 and 2 respectively. Why was she actually doing this? Standing outside of FentonWorks and it’s eye searing sign in full ghost fighting gear, preparing to knock on the door. It had to be a trap, the ghost kid must have done something to the ghost hunters to make them want to help it. ‘Wanting to talk’, as if. Yet here she was, blundering right into the obvious bear trap anyway. Danny still hadn’t returned to school, even though Sam and Tucker had been acting like they knew where he was, so they had to be in on it too. If Phantom thought he could use her friend against her, he’d have another thing coming. Several very painful things, even. She clenched her fist hard to stop the slight tremor before knocking on the door.
Jack always struck her as more of a brick wall than a man, towering and orange as the door swung open. He looked puzzled for half a second before beaming. “HA! I was right, you did show up! See Mads, she totally did!” He seemed more like an excited puppy than anything, neck craning back to talk to his wife.
“Yes Jack, I see her.” Maddie still had the hood of her suit up, adjusting the goggles as she peered out to their doorstep at the teenage ghost hunter. “You did come to talk, right?”
“Course she did! He’s gotta trust his friends more, like I do!”
Even with her face obscured, Maddie clearly wasn’t a fan of the ‘trusting friends’ line, lips pursed before patting the boisterous man on the back. “How about you go let him know sweetie, while I let her in?”
“Great idea! I’ll even get some discussion fudge!” He zipped away faster than Valerie thought he could manage, the oppressive positivity swept away with him as the blue jumpsuited hunter crossed her arms.
“You don’t have any weapons? We have more than enough ourselves if you’re worried about your safety.”
“I won’t do anything if that ghost doesn’t.” It was hard to keep the disgust out of her voice, watching them act like this. Maddie had always struck her as the more reasonable Fenton, yet she seemed far more worried about some ghost than Jack did, for all his positivity.
“That isn’t what I asked. So I’ll repeat it. Do you have any weapons on you? If you do, just hand them over and then we can talk.”
She was talking like she was more of a threat than that monster in the basement! Whatever that ghost did, it must have been powerful. Maddie Fenton, worried for a ghost she’d gladly spoken about cutting open in the name of science only a month ago. It felt like she’d walked into bizarro world. Maybe if she waited long enough a white rabbit would run by screaming about the time.
“I didn’t bring any weapons. Even though I should have.”
Maddie watched her for a long moment, as if trying to see past the mask and figure out if the red suited ghost hunter was trying to lie. With the smallest sigh, she stepped aside to allow her into the home that doubled as a laboratory. “Follow me. You’ll be perfectly safe.”
She doubted anyone could be perfectly safe in a lab with a portal to another dimension filled with ectoplasmic fiends in it, adding the most dangerous ghost that liked to play ‘innocent’ just made it worse. She wouldn’t be alone down there, judging by the snippets of conversation that were floating up the stairs.
“-not gonna eat that, just take it.”
“Aww, but it’s the good stuff!”
“You need to try-” Jazz stopped speaking at the sound of footsteps on the stairs, turning to glare at the ghost hunter.
Phantom barely even reacted, only the eerie green eyes flicking towards the entrance. Apparently he was too busy sitting comfortably in what looked like a recliner they’d brought down for the ghost to bother with more than that. It just seemed off, having a ghost looking so grounded. “Left it to the last day, huh?” The confident grin didn’t reach his eyes, and even that vanished after a few seconds, like it had been more of a habit than wanting to act like that.
“Only because I know you’re up to something.”
“Yup. That’s me, plotting evil deeds. Maybe next time I won’t get punched through a wall!” He had the energy to roll his eyes, but didn’t cross his arms like she expected him to. “You can go guys, it’s just a chat. Probably.”
“I don’t know if that’s a good idea-” Maddie’s concern was sickening, watching someone she could respect sometimes just fawning over a playacting ghost.
“I’ll be fine. This is between us.”
“Sure thing! Oh, if you have any symptoms just yell and I’ll be right there kiddo.” The huge man mussed the ghost’s hair, grin wide despite how wrong it looked. “I totally thought of a new approach, so just sit tight!” He was halfway up the stairs by the time he finished talking, not that the distance made him any less audible. Maddie hesitated a moment longer, but followed the loud love of her life.
The only unjumpsuited Fenton seemed to disagree. “I’m not leaving.”
“Yes you are Jazz!”
“I don’t care if she stays, ghost. You can quit stalling.” Valerie interrupted before the two of them could make her wait for ages with some pointless bickering.
Instead the redhead rounded on her. “He has a name. Use it.”
“Jazz, I really don’t care. Just go already.” He looked almost as irritated as she felt . “I just want to get this over with.”
“I don’t trust her not to do something.”
Didn’t trust her? Over the destructive white haired menace? That was just insulting. “You said you’d talk, so start explaining” she did her best to ignore Danny’s sister, it was probably just whatever the ghost was holding over their heads making her act like this.
“Won’t help if you don’t actually listen for a change.” His eyes narrowed, but more at Jazz than Valerie. “You don’t need to hear this Jazz. Okay?”
“If you think I don’t, I definitely do.” She scowled right back, acting as if they were a bratty younger kid than a ghost that could rip her face off. “I’m not going anywhere.”
“Fine! Whatever, be stubborn. Can’t do anything about it.” His eyes seemed to glow more strongly before the ghost slumped back more in the chair. “So what do you think I did then? Since you keep trying to bother my friends.”
“There’s no way you got the Fentons and those two on your side without leverage. Sure, some kids actually buy that hero crap, but the Fentons don’t.” Only having a finger to point at the ghost made her feel unprepared.
The glowing teenager looked bored. “So you think I’m a kidnapper.”
“I know you did something to Danny. The timing matches up too well. So out with it.”
“Or what, you’ll kill me faster?” He seemed to freeze up after the words were out, smacking himself in the face. “Habit. I didn’t do anything, but it’s going to be hard to explain.”
This was such a waste of time. “Because it’s all made up nonsense?”
“It’ll sound like it! But it’s not. I can prove it.” the ghost stopped as if he needed to catch his breath. “At least I think I can. You left this really, really late.”
“You’re getting off track.” Jazz spoke up before Valerie could say something similar but with far less charitable phrasing.
“Right. Just trying to figure out how to say it.” A gloved hand rubbed at his forehead, brow furrowed as the ghost muttered. “You know what ghosts are made of, right?”
“Ectoplasm and bad attitudes. Duh, anyone in Amity could tell you that.” What was this, quiz time? Some sort of ‘How long can I annoy the ghost hunter before she shoots and makes me look good’ plan?
His shoulders barely move, a negative effort shrug. “Close enough.”
“It really isn’t! Ectoplasm might be what a ghost builds their body out of but-”
Phantom cut her off, leaning forward with the air of absolute exhaustion. “Jazz I do not have time to explain the specific inner workings of ghosts to someone who hates me right now!”
“It’ll help with the next bit, but fine. Go ahead and get all confused.” The redhead sat back, arms crossed.
“Thank you.” Green eyes shifted to find Valerie again before the ghost continued. “Thing is, I’m not all ectoplasm.”
“Is that why you’re extra obnoxious? Have some dirt mixed in there?”
The ghost actually laughed. “Probably!” He did hold up a hand while the laugh subsided, apparently having something more to add. “Not all dirt. But you got the important bit. I’m not a proper ghost, exactly.”
“I don’t run some endangered petting zoo, ghost. So why should I care?” Though it did explain the hunter ghost that was always after the obnoxious white haired creep.
“You should care because right now, I’m doing the whole ‘post human consciousness’ thing completely wrong.” He was watching her closely, a strange look on that dead face. Dread, anxiety? It didn’t look right on his face. “In that I’m not post human. Yet.”
Maybe the ghost was just trying to see if he could get a funny reaction. “Sorry Phantom, you look really dead to me.”
“Oh I feel real dead! But nope. Ah- I said I can prove it, don’t start yelling.” he muttered the last bit quickly, eyes flicking away from her obvious disbelieving glare. “Probably. Hurts. Gimme a sec-”
“I just wanted an answer to what you were doing, not this inane story.”
“Inane story very important answering that.” the ghost didn’t seem to even notice he was just dropping words from his sentence, more focused at staring at his own hand.
Jazz got up, hovering over the ghost as if deeply concerned for the absurdity spouting spirit. “I can back you up, you don’t need to prove it.”
“She’ll never believe it without seeing it. Which is why we’re doing this at all. Before I can’t.”
“Mom and Dad are still working on it, they’ll figure out a way to fix it.”
“No they won’t Jazz! I want them to, but they won’t! Not with how they explained it.”
“You’re just letting the worst outcome seem like the most likely one.”
“No, I’m actually understanding what they mean and being realistic!”
Honestly, this entire little exchange felt like something private she’d barged in on. She gave a loud cough, which seemed to startle both of them, heads jerking to look in her direction. They almost looked related, being that in sync.
The psychology lover recovered first. “Urgh. Just say it out loud, you’re obviously struggling.”
Which snapped the ghost boy out of it. “And you’re obviously not helping!”
“So what, you threatened the Fentons with a really bad comedy act?” The ghost winced at the angry rebuke, but she wasn’t done. “I get you being obnoxious, but dragging Jazz into it? You’re pretty sick.”
“He’s Danny.” There was no amusement in her voice, no hint of the concerned smile she kept giving the ectoplasmic pest.
“Jazz!” There was a genuine note of anger, and the temperature seemed to dip as the ghost glared at the one that didn’t want him blasted out of existence.
“I don’t really care what you call him, that doesn’t answer-”
Jazz cut her off, ignoring the cold glare being thrown at her. “It does. Danny isn’t missing, he’s right here.”
“You managed to trick the Fentons into thinking you’re their kid? What did you do to Danny?” Valarie rounded on the ghost, hand reaching for a weapon that wasn’t there.
“Nothing!” His hands were up even as his eyes stayed fixed on the elder Fenton child. “I told you she won’t believe it!”
“Nothing’s happened to Danny. This is him. Only grumpier.”
“You can’t honestly think that thing is your brother!”
“Wow Jazz, you managed to get me called a thing. Great assist, keep it up.” Phantom was muttering, settling back as if he planned to just take a nap. “If you keep this up, maybe she’ll shoot me!”
“You could try standing up for yourself, Danny.”
“Oh no, you dug this hole. You lie in it. I’d say your grave, but I have dibs in that department. Twiceover!”
She was going to punch this ghost. Even if the creature could just phase through it. She wanted to clobber it for whatever THIS was. “So you killed Danny, and took his place. That’s what you’re saying?” At least she had the satisfaction of the ghost looking like it wanted to vanish as she stepped forward.
“Hey, I didn’t say anything. That was Jazz.”
“No! Danny’s always been both. I’ve known for a while, but he had to tell Mom and Dad. That’s why they’re suddenly fine with Phantom.” Jazz insisted, trying to look Valerie in the eye. “He isn’t missing, and hasn’t done anything to us.”
“Danny is not a life ruining monster. I don’t care how convincing that thing seems to you, that ghost is NOT my friend.” Danny was sweet, big hearted and a bit of a shy little dork. Phantom was nothing but a snide, cocky creep that insisted you should just forget anything that made him look like the scummy ghost he was. They were nothing alike.
“And this is why I just wanted to make things quick.” The ghost seemed to fold in on himself, not looking at either of the humans in the room. “You can hate me all you want, just let me explain.”
“There’s nothing to explain! You aren’t Danny.”
“He is. It explains everything. Think about it logically. Danny goes ‘missing’. He tries to fix the problem himself, but he can’t. We convince him he has to tell our parents. He finally does, and even though Danny is still ‘missing’ they stop saying things like a ghost kidnapped him. Because we know where he is.”
“Or he’s still missing and you’ve bought some nonsense story to feel better about it when this ghost probably just tortured him for information.” Jazz didn’t back down from her snappy response, but did seem to be at a loss.
“Hey! I do not do torture. That’s literally everyone who isn’t me.” the ghost sounded offended, shaking his hand as if trying to get it to do something. “Anyway, this is going to suck. I blame you Jazz.”
“Excuse me for thinking friends of yours can be logical with the truth in their faces!”
“Nah. I get to say I told you so for a change.”
Valrie planned to make the two quit their pointless bickering, but words died in her throat as a set of rings appeared near the ghost’s wrist. It wasn’t an attack she’d seen the menace use before and she was already settling into a fighting stance to combat it. Yet it stayed around the ghost, slowly down his arm. It seemed a bit much as a way to take off a ghostly jumpsuit, but she preferred that first thought to how the ghost changed as it swept over his face.
Black hair, blue eyes. Her friend’s face, Danny’s face set in a grimace of pain as the rings snuffed out, a boy that looked pale and sickly while struggling to breathe where the blight of a ghost had been.
“Yup. Sucks. Ow.” Danny wheezed, eyes unfocused even though he knew the two of them were still there.
Jazz was there in seconds. “You need to switch back. Mom said-”
“S-she’s gotta know it isn’t a trick first.” the boy insisted, and his voice was right. It was Danny’s, without the horrid echo or slimy snaps the ghost made.
Yet it had to be a trick. There was no way her friend had been a lie. Just some rotten ghost who’d gotten close to her as some sort of joke. A ghost that had tricked her after making sure she knew he was nothing but a monster in one disguise. “Who are you.” The question was weak.
“Just Danny. Been this way since the accident.” He looked like he was going to say more but was cut off by a coughing fit, flecks of ectoplasm making his pale skin look even closer to dead as it splattered on his hastily raised hand. “That’s new.” His laugh set her teeth on edge.
Her brain wouldn’t work. It was impossible, it couldn’t be true. She didn’t want it to be true. She’d liked him well enough before. This-she wasn’t sure how else she could take this. “So why are you telling me now.”
“I wanted you to know while I could still prove it.”
“Why? Did you think this would help you? Think I might pity you if you look sick?”
“No.” Blue eyes looked away as the rings returned the ghost to the chair. “I told you so you’d leave my friends alone. Since I don’t think I’m going to stop being missing.”
He’d revealed his nasty trick, but wasn’t mocking her about it, or lording over her with it. It didn’t fit. They couldn’t be the same person. You couldn’t be alive and dead at the same time! She wanted to choke him, but also wanted to help. She hated this, she hated him for making this complicated. “Stay missing?” The sickness had to be an act, right? Like how he pretended he was a friend.
“Yeah. I got lucky in the accident. I wasn’t quite a ghost, and not exactly a human.” Phantom wasn’t looking at her as he spoke, apparently preferring to stare at the wall. “It was a balance thing, I guess. I didn’t really notice at first. Like the obvious I did, the whole having ghost powers thing, being able to switch back and forth.” The rambling didn’t stop even as he started scratching at the back of his neck. “I didn’t notice even as a human I needed ectoplasm to keep my heart going, or as a ghost I could use more than just ectoplasm to keep my energy up. I need both halves, I can’t survive without both.” He hesitated again, getting a reassuring hand on the shoulder from Jazz. “Problem is I managed to get that balance screwed up. Ran myself ragged fighting ghosts, didn’t get enough sleep, basically coasted on my ghost half to keep functioning. And I’m a strong ghost now, I guess. Too strong for my weak human body to manage anymore. So I’m basically eating myself alive and falling apart. It’s great. This is when I have a quip about work life balance or something, but I’m too tired to think of one.”
“He wasn’t hiding this out of maliciousness you know. He was afraid.” Jazz was frowning as she watched how the ghost hunter hadn’t really relaxed, still stiff and angry looking. “He couldn’t even make himself tell Mom and Dad until we basically forced him to.”
“She doesn’t care, Jazz.” he grunted, still not looking, “But you know now. So you don’t need to go after anyone to find out what happened. It’s self inflicted.”
It was too much. The whole thing was absurd. What could she even say to something like this? To have the world invert to show ugly stains you didn’t see before? They would need to talk again. About this. About what he actually was, or wasn’t. Now though?
She could only leave without a word.

Massive Speculation
On N7 day of this hellscape of a year, BioWare announced they were making another Mass Effect instalment. Naturally, being sat up here in the bridge as I am, it gives me a lot of time to speculate and here are my thoughts on the wider picture.
These remasters are intended to revitalise the fandom for the upcoming project.
That much, to me, seems obvious. Whatever this new instalment is, it’s some years off and it makes perfect sense to give something to the (not insignificant) fanbase Mass Effect still has to attract them again, as well as new fans. These remasters will be well positioned to buy them a few years of good “fandom time.”
This upcoming instalment after the remasters is going to be Mass Effect’s last hurrah.
And maybe, as much as it sucks to say, BioWare’s last hurrah in its current form, too. It’s no industry secret that BioWare has outlived its life expectancy since the EA takeover. EA notoriously acquires and dissolves spirited, highly skilled studios once they stop being profitable (and sometimes even before that.) Unlike films, where franchises are just allowed to limp on indefinitely despite litanies of failures (think Terminator, Alien vs Predator and its ilk) games “enjoy” no such luxury. Beloved franchises are taken out behind the barn on the regular. BioWare’s productions in particular are large, grand, expensive, and alarmingly the past two have been both critical and commercial failures, vastly underperforming expectations. Mass Effect: Andromeda sold well initially, but proved to have no legs in the market; so much so, that all its DLC was cancelled and the title unceremoniously shelved. Anthem suffered a very similar and drastic fate. Whatever this upcoming Mass Effect title is going to be, it needs wide, iconic and lasting appeal.
Mass Effect can only be a flagship title.
There is no way to make a cheap Mass Effect game, and so all the stops are going to have to be pulled for this one. The studio learned a painful lesson when they left ME in the hands of their passionate, yet relatively inexperienced branch. Narratively, that puts the upcoming title in a very interesting place.
Mass Effect: Andromeda 2 is not a safe investment for a flagship title.
It doesn’t make a lot of sense to rile up interest in the ME universe again just for the next offering to be a sequel to the broadly disliked and violently shelved Andromeda. Such a decision seems counterintuitive. ME:A seems like a very bad basis to hitch a project of such importance on.
In terms of Mass Effect, what is more iconic than Commander Shepard?
As discussed, the new title is going to need to capitalise on broad appeal and fan favourites to survive. Mass Effect: Andromeda’s premise of sidestepping the whole Reapers debacle by being pioneers seeding the stars in a new galaxy was an excellent idea. Unfortunately, that ticket has been used up. Doing that same idea again seems ill-advised at best. Fandom has been hungry for more Commander Shepard for almost eight years, now... Easily, they and the N7s are the most recognisable, iconic figures. But, and it is a krogan sized “but”...
However, the endings were not meant to be written around.
Whatever you think of them, each “candy flavour” has far-reaching consequences that narratively speaking would be intensely difficult to write a meaningful and interesting continuance for. I’m not saying it isn’t possible, but it is extremely challenging and I think the only way to go forward with that would be to piss off a lot of people, for lack of a better term. It presents several challenges: 1. Okay, so the protagonist is Shepard. How? We have to pick the only path forward from here, which is to say that only the Shepards who chose this particular colour candy ending can proceed. This essentially makes one of the decisions the “canon” ending, because you can only make a game based on one of these outcomes, realistically. Scope becomes too huge if you’re trying to include all the branches. So... we are faced with the age old problem that caused such outrage over the endings initially... a lot of people are going to feel like their choices didn’t matter. This said, there is a slight precedence for this in that one could get their squad and themselves all killed in Mass Effect 2, and only my man Joker is left. That’s a bit of a different situation, but it’s all I got. 2. Okay, so only the Shepards who chose x ending can load their save and continue on. Shepard doing what? N7s are an interesting concept and the Mass Effect universe is a very interesting one with many kinds of narrative possibilities, however, it’s a real pretty corner the writers have painted themselves into on this one, gotta say. This leaves only two other narrative possibilities: 1. The least interesting of all the options, a prequel. This presents challenges of its own, because in Mass Effect’s own lore, it’s not actually that long ago that humanity came into contact with the rest of the galaxy. You can either write about the First Contact War, which involves only humans and turians and shrinks the scope drastically so much so as to be disappointing and lose much of the colour of the universe... or you go so far back into the past that it’s the Protheans’ cycle, in which case there’s no opportunity for a human protagonist - which is a massive problem - and is narratively not very compelling because we know everyone and everything dies, unless you want to do something stupid like time travel. Mass Effect is already high concept enough, I don’t think time travel is a particularly good mechanic to introduce to the series... Unless it’s short-term and single-use, like Shepard has to stop themselves from making a choice in the third game’s era. Even then, that’s opening a big can of worms that I don’t think is a good fit for the series. 2. Mass Effect: Mandalorian The only way to retain the colourful scope, the human protagonist, and the aliens we’re familiar with is ditch the iconic N7 situation entirely and set the instalment maybe 5 or 10 years before Shepard’s time. This ensures humanity is still an up-and-coming member of galactic society, yet the whole Reapers business isn’t going on yet. They won’t go for N7s because as we know, Shepard was the first human Spectre, so the protagonist could be some kind of smuggler, criminal or vigilante rather than military. Touching on what fans loved so much about Mass Effect 2, which was the feeling of getting together your motley crew of misfits to do a real big job, your role could simply be to amass a group of space jerks to do a mission of much smaller scale than the Reapers’ plotline, but no less fun. I’m going to bet it would be called something like Mass Effect: Renegades (you can have that one for free, BioWare) and the player could be pitted against C-Sec and other galactic law enforcement agencies. This even gives the opportunity for small cameos, such as Garrus’ time in C-Sec, and other characters to appear in different points in their careers. Whilst it wouldn’t make up for the loss of the iconic N7 visual and idea, it might go some way towards helping broad appeal. Also just look at how successful the Mandalorian has been for Star Wars. The only reason I don’t like these ideas is because I don’t get to date Joker in any of them. Seriously, BioWare, I don’t care what you do, just let me date the damn scruffy pilot. Not a different one, that one. Specifically. You could get an impersonator if Seth Green doesn’t wanna do it. Say his voicebox got damaged, I don’t care, just something, please In all seriousness though, I’d love for Shepard to come back. My ideal situation has to do with only one of the endings being “canonised” and is that Shepard somehow survives. Then it’s about rebuilding the galaxy after the Reapers have gone. I’m sure there’s drama to be had in that. And it gives me the opportunity to hope for Shepard to finally, FINALLY hook up with Joker. Seriously it’s so narratively powerful they’re always there for each other come on give me this I think that option would be challenging to write and would involve a sacrifice of pissing some fans off quite a lot, but the fact is, Mass Effect needs to be saved if it’s going to continue on, and it might be possible to orchestrate a situation where Shepard passes the torch on to new characters at the end. That’s also a common theme in shows and games these days.

Print Me A House And Home
Summary: Sans breaks the lab’s printers while Alphys is away. With a little applied quantum theory, this somehow leads to his boss becoming his flatmate. Pre-Sanster, Sans POV, Fluff (with a sprinkle of Angst).
.
“ya gotta be kiddin’ me.”
You rap your knuckles on the side of the printer. There’s a click and a foreboding thump from inside. You take a cautious step back, hands raised.
“uh. hey, doc, is al in today?”
No response. You glance into the empty office behind you.
“boss?”
No dice.
“…i’m stealing your snacks. speak now or forever hold your chisps.”
Nada.
“your loss, dude.”
You snag the bag of popato chisps off of his desk and pop them open. The noise is like a firecracker set off inside your skull.
…Still ix-nay on the eleton-skay.
You toss a few chisps past your teeth and knock on the printer again. No one home. Not even a suspicious ticking noise. Lame.
You’re halfway through the chisps bag, tapping an absent rhythm on the printer, when there’s footsteps and the rustling of papers in the hallway. A few seconds later, Dr. W. D. Gaster strides through the doorway, head bowed. It’s a rare candid moment; he’s too engrossed in the notebook in his hands to notice you.
You watch him for a bit, debating whether to spook him.
“‘sup.”
To his credit, he doesn’t physically startle. He does snap his notebook shut, abruptly alert. “Sans. What are you…?”
“had to use your printer.” You extend the open pop bag. “chisp?”
He doesn’t even check to see if they’re his. He takes one. “The vending machine is two floors down.”
“eh. too far.”
“You could use the elevator.”
“why bother. it’s just gonna let me down.”
“Mm. And I suppose you’ve vetoed the stairs because they are ‘up to something’.”
“hey. don’t knock my jokes. they’re hy-stair-ical.” You crumple the empty chisp bag and toss it at Gaster, who catches it and drops it in the bin. “is alphys clocking in anytime soon?”
“She’s at a seminar in New Home. She won’t be back for another four hours.” He places the notebook on his desk. “Is there something wrong with your own printer?”
“yup. i tried to print a report of some results for an experiment this morning. somethin’ went wrong, think i jammed it. figured i’d use yours.”
His eyelights snap to the printer. “And it’s jammed mine as well?”
You chuckle. Break into the man’s office under printing problem pretenses, and watch him squirm. Give him a printer to fix, he’ll hyperfixate on it so hard he almost seems sane.
“looks like it. same thing happened to al’s printer, too.”
“That would explain why I couldn’t print my notes a few hours ago.” He approaches the machine, huffing. “It’s only Tuesday, and you’ve already managed to break all three of our printers.”
“i call it a magic touch.”
“I find it highly unlikely you would ever employ percussive maintenance. Especially of the bullet pattern variety.”
“heh heh. point taken.” You shrug. “wrong on the first count, though. i gave ‘em a few love taps.”
“Mm. Bandages are on my desk.”
“cute. i can take a printer, old man, and i could take you.”
“That would put you at two counts of theft and one of kidnapping. Tread carefully.” He removes the back panel of the printer and peers inside. “That’s peculiar. This experiment report— was it for the causality trials?”
“just the test run.”
“And your printer has the same kind of jam?”
“same jelly, same jar.”
“It appears to be routine.”
“bread n’butter.”
“It looks fried.”
“that’s probably a doughboy, then.”
“It can’t be a coincidence.”
“i didn’t say coincidence, i said doughboy.”
He snaps out of his thoughts at that. “What? What’s ‘doughboy?’”
“uh, s’like pre-bread? don’t call me ‘boy’.”
“I didn’t—” He shakes his head, baffled. “What in Asgore’s name are you going on about?”
“the printer. you sure you know what you’re doin’?”
He shoots you a glare just before shoving his hands all up in the printer’s mechanical guts. “I’m a highly skilled engineer who just so happened to design and construct the self-sustaining generator which the entire Underground, including this lab, runs on. I can handle a jammed printer.”
“ok, jeez, doc. no point tryin’ to print receipts, the printer’s already doughboy-ed.”
Gaster doesn’t reply, but after a few moments of tinkering, he does squint in a concerning manner. “Hm.”
“hm?”
“Hm.”
“i’m no printer engineer, but ‘hm’ doesn’t sound like a technical term.”
“It is when I say it.” And, well, he’s got you there. “It appears Alphys has been printing Mew Mew Kissy Cutie posters on her work printer.”
“uh,” you say. “what? how do you know?”
In response, Gaster pulls out an impossibly large poster from the back of the printer. It’s slightly crumpled, due to its dimensions being bigger than the printer could ever realistically print, and even laminated, which you’re pretty sure Gaster’s printer can’t do.
“Something tells me we will find your test results in Alphys’ printer, and my notes from this morning in yours.”
“woah. you’re kiddin’. scoot over,” you say, sidling up to him to peer inside the printer’s exposed mechanics. “you think alphys’ printer and my printer are superposed in yours?”
“Potentially.”
“that’s… uh,” you say. “impractical.”
“To say the least.”
“alphys is gonna have a field day with this when she gets back.”
“I’m sure the eventual clutter of dismantled printers will speak for itself.”
“heh. i gotta say, i’m kinda disappointed. i expected superposition to sound a lot more chaotic.”
He makes an assenting noise. You look over at him, and then nearly do a double-take. You didn’t notice before, but he’s as tense as a compressed spring, very intently inspecting the Mew Mew Kissy Cutie poster. Or, more likely, very deliberately not looking at you.
Upon second glance, you are a lot closer to him than you reasonably need to be.
“heh. whoops. my bad,” you say, stepping to the side. “didn’t mean to crowd you.”
“…Not at all,” he says quietly, then clears his throat. He puts the back panel over the printer again and straightens up. “We should, er, go check the other printers. Just in case.”
“sure,” you say.
“Good,” he says.
“great,” you say.
And you go.
It’s kind of funny, this sort of dance the two of you have fallen into. Stepping on eggshells, tiptoeing around each other at work. Ignoring that you’ve got a crush on him. That he’s got a gigantic crush on you. It’s ridiculous, and hilarious, mainly because he’s centuries old and you’re, well, not.
For whatever reason, whether he’s worried about being deemed a cradle robber or a douchebag boss, or something else entirely, he hasn’t made a move on you yet. But hey, that’s fine by you. You’ve got all the time in the world.
Though you do hope it won’t actually take him that long.
“It will be faster if we split up,” he says, once you reach the intersecting hallway between your office and Alphys’. He starts to take off by himself, leaving you behind.
You reach out and grab his wrist.
“hang on a sec. if you’re right about superposition—”
“It’s very likely that I am.”
“then you realize checking the printers separately could affect the outcome. ‘that which is observed is changed’, n’all that?”
“Well, yes. But it may be an inevitability anyway,” he says. “And even so, the replication of this event is statistically extremely unlikely. This may be our only chance to see whether our theory of personal observation holds true.”
“but it’ll kill the control variable, won’t it? we already saw your printer—”
“Oh, it could, most certainly— but not if our current theories of quantum entanglement hold true.”
“quantum—? for a whole printer? boss, we’re years away from proving that particle entanglement exists on the subatomic scale, never mind above it.”
“Not once we check the printers, we won’t be,” he points out. “There’s a chance the only way to trigger binding entanglement at such a large scale is through unrelated proofs.”
Unrelated—?
And, oh.
You’re physically incapable of gaping, but the sentiment must show in your eyelights, because he grins down at you, the smug bastard.
“All caught up?”
“we’ll know entanglement can occur if our personal observations affect the outcomes of a superimposed subject— and if it doesn’t, we’ll have potentially disproven three separate quantum theories at once, since each cannot exist without the other. it’s… extremely assumptive and unreliable science—”
“Unless it works.”
“uh, no, i’m pretty sure it’s still unorthodox and totally fallible,” you say. “but hey. personal confirmation’s gotta count for somethin’, right?”
He laughs, bright and clear. “Yes, yes, I suppose. In a sense.”
“well, then, in a sense, it’s genius.”
More than genius, really. And Gaster knows it is, going by the look on his face. For a moment, time slows, and you take in his eyelights, fuzzy and dilated. How his entire silhouette brims with restrained excitement. Riding on the high that comes just before a dramatic breakthrough.
And yeah, maybe there’s more important things at hand, but god, he’s beautiful when he gets like this.
“heh. how ‘bout we save the ego inflation until after we get results,” you say. The cusp of quantum discovery isn’t the time or place for mutual, unspoken workplace crushes.
“Right. Then we’ll meet back here as soon as possible,” Gaster says, and turns to go—
Only to be yanked back by your hand, clasped tightly in his.
Oh.
You stare at your joined hands, soul fluttering. His fingers are intertwined with yours, slender phalanges and thick knuckles complementing each other like a welded whole.
At some point, you must’ve let go of his wrist and taken his hand instead. You hadn’t even noticed.
“uh. eheh. whoops.” You let go and try to pull away. But Gaster’s hand doesn’t budge. “doc?”
He’s as still as a statue, his eyelights focused somewhere over your shoulder. A flighty feeling grows in your bones the longer you have his hand in yours.
And then he says, quietly: “Have you been sleeping here, Sans?”
Your soul wrenches itself in another direction.
“what?”
Gaster gestures behind you with his other hand, but you don’t turn to look. In a rush, it comes to you, what he must be looking at.
You’d had a long night, then a rough morning with Pap. This afternoon, you weren’t as careful as you usually are. You remember leaving your office door open, and, like the idiot you are, you remember leaving out your sleeping bag, your cheap diner food wrappers, your half-sharpied sneakers. And then you got so caught up in causality, your experiment, and printing those results—
You forgot to hide your mess.
Fuck.
“You’ve been sleeping here overnight.”
“it’s not, uh,” you begin weakly, but it really is what it looks like. And judging by the way Gaster hasn’t torn his eyelights from your mess, he knows it.
There’s no point making a fool out of yourself by lying.
But that doesn’t mean you don’t hate the way your voice goes quiet without your consent.
“…it’s not as bad as it looks.”
“What about your brother— Papyrus? Is he—?”
“no. god, no. trust me, you’d know if pap was loose in this place,” you chuckle a little desperately. “he stays with a couple of friends in new home while i work. temporarily, y’know. just while we’re between houses.”
“Between houses,” Gaster echoes, finally looking down at you again. It’s fine. You’re fine. “I locked down the lab last weekend— were you on the streets for that time?”
“nah, we, uh. heh.” You clear your throat. Look to the wall. Shove your free hand in your pocket.
Anything to distract from the fact that you can’t keep your voice steady.
You’ve never talked about it to anyone before. Out loud. You didn’t expect it to be this difficult. And it doesn’t help that Gaster doesn’t give you an out. He just stares at you, expectant. You have no idea how to read the expression he’s wearing.
So you gather yourself and let your mouth run like a loose motor.
“we house-hopped for a while, ‘til we could make it to snowdin. there’s a place out there i’ve been savin’ up for. real spacious, real cheap. y’know. somethin’ decent we can handle the mortgage for with my salary. and the guy who owns it wanted to meet up anyway. so th’ timing worked out.”
“Sans—”
“it’s fine, doc. really. trust me. been doin’ this since i could remember,” And it is fine. The more you talk, the less he’ll hear. You’ll be fine, as long as you don’t let him speak. “listen, i’ll pack it all up when i clock out, i’ve got friends we can bunk with—”
“Absolutely not.”
“—i can make it work, but, uh, y’know, i’m sorry i—”
“Sans.” He squeezes your hand, tight. Your soul scales your throat and smothers your protests. “You’re staying in my apartment until the house is yours.”
You blink up at him, uncomprehending.
“Asgore rents the place out to me, as per our contract. I can assure you, you would not be imposing.”
Slowly, the words start to trickle in. Imposing. In his apartment.
He wants you to stay. With him. In his apartment.
“oh,” you say. Like an idiot.
“It’s fully stocked, and more than big enough to house you, your brother, and I.”
The mention of Papyrus is enough to get your thoughts moving again.
“wh— uh. hang on. slow down, doc. i can’t do that.” He doesn’t reply. You shake your head, even as some part of you starts to settle into the idea. A house, regular meals. Gaster sleeping in the neighboring room. “no, no, c’mon. i’m serious.”
“As am I.”
He is. And you hate that. You hate that he’s serious.
You hate that you want him to be serious.
Now you can’t stop yourself from considering it. Your thoughts run ahead of you, wondering what you’d be able to do if you weren’t constantly worrying about food on the table or the roof overhead. What a relief it would be to have a stable home life, not in a few years, not in a few months, but now.
No more bed hopping, or borrowing clothes. No more stretches of time spent starving in dank alleyways.
No need to worry about transportation to the lab or to wherever Pap ends up staying during the work day.
And not just that, but someone to secure it for you. Someone you know for a fact won’t toss you out at the drop of a pin, who won’t hold it over your head, or pander ulterior motives.
Someone who doesn’t think you’re a disgusting excuse for a monster.
It sounds too good to be true.
And to top it all off, here Gaster is, looking at you like he knows he’s offering you dinners and bedtimes and breakfasts and domestic things and stability and a normal life that you could never get on your own merit.
And the only objection you can think of is:
“doesn’t that break some sort of— i dunno, fraternization rule, or something?”
Gaster blinks down at you. You’re slightly relieved to see his expression change into something more familiar.
“We are a collective twenty steps away from an immense scientific discovery that could redefine the way we conceptualize reality itself,” he says, “and you’re worried about fraternization.”
Which, okay, that’s a little unfair.
“doc, we’re twenty steps away from an immense scientific discovery, and you wanna argue about where i sleep at night.”
He takes a breath to argue, then cants his head. “You have a point.”
“don’t i.”
“This can wait.”
“can’t it.”
“I suppose we should… get on with it.”
“uh-huh.” You swallow around the lump in your throat. “as soon as you let go of my hand.”
“Oh. Right. Yes.” He releases your hand a little sheepishly. Centuries, you have to remind yourself. “Apologies.”
“don’t sweat it.”
As soon as he starts moving, you turn heel and make a beeline for your office.
You shut the door behind you and slide down the back of it until your knees hit your chest. Then you tuck your head between your legs and you breathe.
You’re fine. It’s fine. You just— you need a minute. Just a minute. In a few seconds, you’ll open your eyesockets, and you’ll be fine.
Alone. Safe.
Fine.
You open your eyes.
Your mess awaits you, splayed at your ankles. It spirals far into the room like an extension of yourself. You stare at it with the appropriate amount of disgust.
Strewn wrappers, unwashed laundry. Empty bottles and cans you planned to sell for a couple G apiece. You never left any of it out during the daytime before. Not where the stark laboratory overhead lights strip it of nighttime’s leniency. Right now, it’s all there, laid bare for the world to see.
It’s just things. Fabric and plastic and glass and other meaningless things.
It is what it is, but it’s not. It’s more than that.
And you know, if it would’ve been Alphys, it would’ve been easier. Because you’re not ashamed of your situation. Really. It sucks, but it happens. You get that. She would get that. It’s just. You just didn’t want anyone to know. You didn’t want Gaster to know.
You didn’t want Gaster to look at your things and see more than just quirks or weird habits. But he did. Almost too quickly. He saw right through you.
You wouldn’t have pegged him for a monster who has fallen on hard times. Not like you have.
But it happens. You get that.
So…
So maybe you have less to worry about than you thought.
You swipe at your eyesockets and take to your feet. Either way, you shouldn’t dwell on it, not now. Not when you have work to do.
...Not when you have three quantum theories to potentially disprove, what in Asgore’s name are you doing?
Your printer is just as you left it on your desk. You loop around the back of it, kicking a stray ketchup bottle out of your way, and take off the panel without a hitch.
No Mew Mew Kissy Cutie poster in sight. Small mercies. You plunge your hand into the printer’s depths.
“yahtzee,” you mutter under your breath, once you’re elbow-deep.
Anticipation sneaks past your defenses, as you pull out the piece of paper touching your fingertips. Your shambles of a home life aside, this is a big moment. You should be enjoying it.
You shake out the page, flatten it against your desk, and quickly scour its contents.
...It’s Gaster’s notes. In his handwriting, scanned and copied and printed.
Unwittingly, you start to re-crumple the paper between your fingers. The mess in your office melts away, suddenly distant and small in comparison to the realization cresting your thoughts— the mantra ringing through your head over and over like the chiming of the Judgement Hall’s bells—
He did it.
He was right.
Superposition, entanglement, personal observation— everything. He was right.
You don’t get the chance to bolt out of your office— he meets you at your door. You swing it open, blustered by the draft, and hold up Gaster’s notes. He starts laughing before you even see your experiment report in his hands.
“holy shit,” you breathe.
“Indeed.”
“holy shit.”
“I am treating both you and your brother to dinner tonight,” Gaster pants, slapping the report into your hands. “Until then, we can discuss a more suitable salary for your expenses. Come evening, we’ll pick up Papyrus…”
He keeps talking, but you can’t process a word of what he’s saying. It doesn’t occur to you that you probably just got a raise, or that you won’t be dumpster diving tonight, or even that you’ve somehow completely accepted the fact that you’ll be roommates with your boss for the foreseeable future.
None of it matters, because Gaster is grinning, eyesockets wide, breath stolen from wonder, his hands planted firmly on your shoulders. He looks barely in control of himself.
You can’t believe you thought he was beautiful before. You’ve never seen him look at you like this.
You don’t want him to stop.
Eventually, however, he realizes you aren’t listening to a word he’s saying. So he stops talking, rolls his eyelights, and abruptly turns around to lead the way back to his office.
You blink after his receding outline, still blinded by the afterimage of his expression. Something brushes your side, and you look down.
One of his conjured hands is clutching yours. The asymmetry of the grip is just as perfectly aligned as it was with his real hand.
You give the mimic a squeeze. It squeezes back.
With one last look at the chaos of your office, you shut your door behind you and drift along in Gaster’s wake, smiling.

Mitsuki: Tsunashi-san, happy birthday!
Iori: Tsunashi-san, happy birthday. I hope that we can continue to rely upon your mentorship.
Nagi: Happy birthday, Tsunashi-shi!
Yamato: Tsunashi-san, happy birthday
Riku: Tsunashi-san, happy birthday!
Kaoru: Happy birthday, Ryu. I look forward to your  12 SONGS GIFT solo live later.
Sogo: Tsunashi-san, happy birthday. I look forward to continuing to work with you.
Rinto: Thank you for the invitation. Happy birthday.
Banri: Happy birthday, Ryunosuke-kun.
Yuki: Happy birthday, Ryunosuke-kun.
Ryunosuke: Thank you!
Kaoru: Thank you all for gathering to celebrate Ryunosuke. Takanashi-san, since you're good at directing these sort of things, may I leave TRIGGER's last member up to you, too?
Tsumugi: Alright!
Gaku: Ryu, what kind of solo song did you decide on?
Ryunosuke: A great one! I'm sure you'll like it, too!
Tenn: I heard the title from Anesagi-san just earlier. "my 10plate", right?
Momo: I wonder  what kind of song it is! I can't wait for your solo, Ryu-chan!
Ryunosuke: Thank you! Once everyone's solo songs have been released, let's all have a karaoke gathering to sing them!
Mitsuki: Great idea! After we've sang our own songs, let's do a second round with the songs switched up!
Tenn: At 24 songs to sing, that's already bit of a concert setlist.
Yamato: You guys must be real hard workers, to want to do a mock live in your free time.
Riku: That sounds fun! I definitely wanna do it!
Tamaki: Since they'll all be released by Yukirin's birthday, let's make it a Christmas party!
Yuki: A 4-hour karaoke course right after my release event, huh ^^
Iori: Why don't we make it an end-of-year party?
Nagi: Sorry. During the end of the year, the anime world is busy enough to make even the most serene of monks to fret.
Sogo: Won't we all be busy then? Why not make it a New Year's party?
Kaoru: Why not just make it a concert, so all that singing doesn't go to waste? I'll try to get the project started.
Rinto: Exactly! Let's find a sponsor to pay for the whole ordeal!
Riku: Work is fine, but I want to have fun in private, too!
Ryunosuke: A private party would be nice! It'll be a different kind of fun from our concerts! Which would you prefer, Tsumugi-chan?
Choices/outcomes:
1. We might as well make it a concert!
Ryunosuke: Your live productions are cool, after all! I bet it'd be fun to sing in front of the fans with all of us.
2. I want it to be a private party!
Ryunosuke: Those kind of hangouts are more fun, sometimes! I'd like to sing with everyone until we're completely tired out!
3. I'll leave it up for all of you to decide!
Ryunosuke: You always put  us first, don't you. Thank you! I hope we choose whichever choice will be the most fun.
Gaku: Oh well, I don't think it's realistic for us to already make plans for next year. Let's do the usual.
Tsumugi: Well then, Tsunashi-san! Is there anything you want to ask everyone?
Ryunosuke: I have something thought up! Here it is!
Ryunosuke: If none of us were idols, how would we have met?
Gaku: What do you mean?
Ryunosuke: You know how I ended up becoming an idol kind of out of nowhere, right? Or at the very least, I never imagined I'd be one.
Ryunosuke: Because of that, I sometimes wonder what I'd be doing if I wasn't an idol, but I'm also pretty sure I wouldn't have met all of you if it wasn't for this job.
Tenn: So you want to know how we would've met you, if we weren't in this line of work?
Ryunosuke: Yeah! Basically! I'd be happy to hear your answers!
Tsumugi: "How you would have met Tsunashi-san if you weren't in this line of work", it is! Okazaki-san, you may begin!
Rinto: That's a tough question! If I wasn't in this profession, I think I'd probably just be an ordinary office worker. So...
Rinto: I think I'd probably get invited to a co-worker's wedding, where the groom would be really handsome, and that groom would be Tsunashi-san.
Ryunosuke: So I'd be getting married!
Rinto: That's right. I'd probably think it was only natural that someone like you would end up popular and happy.
Yamato: Ah, I get what you mean. If Tsunashi-san was the groom at a wedding, I'd have no complaints about him at all.
Mitsuki: Why would you complain about the groom to begin with?
Yamato: Isn't that what weddings are all about?
Nagi: I am sure both Yamato and Mitsuki will cry once one of us gets married :-P
Tsumugi: That's a lovely scenario! Anesagi-san, you're next!
Kaoru: If we met while I was in my current line of work, I'd scout him for sure. I think Ryu would naturally make a good idol.
Kaoru: And even if I wasn't, I'd probably still have invited him to come work with me. Whether I was running a shop, or starting up a new magazine.
Tenn: Anesagi-san and Ryu would make cool magazine editors.
Gaku: Yeah. They'd probably be really passionate about their work.
Ryunosuke: Wow, that makes me kind of happy. I like that you want to work together with me, no matter what.
Tsumugi: Anesagi-san, thank you! Banri-san, you're next!
Banri: I think I'd be a salaryman, too. And Ryunosuke-kun would be a salesman from our partner company, who invites me to mixers!
Yamato: A mixer arranged by Tsunashi-san would probably be a real luxury.
Banri: Exactly! And that's where I'd find myself a cute bride. In other words, Ryunosuke-kun would be our Cupid!
Ryunosuke: That's very nice of you! It would be  quite an achievement to find a match for you, Ogami-san!
Yuki: Of course he'd ignore Ryunosuke-kun at his own mixer and just focus on getting himself a girlfriend.
Momo: Ban-san, don't ever get married... 。・゚・(ノД`)・゚・。
Banri: My heart will always belong to you, Momo-kun ♪(゜▽^*)丿⌒☆
Yuki: You made Momo stop moving. Why did you have to say that?
Tamaki: Ban-chan!! What's up with that happy emoticon!!! You're cheating on us with Re:vale!!
Sogo: Tamaki-kun is starting to sound like Momo-san...
Tamaki: That's 'cuz Ban-chan's our manager!! He should give us fanservice!
Banri: (lol) You two need to give me fanservice, first.
Tamaki: ☆-(´>ω・`)b
Sogo: ☆-(´>ω・`)b
Yuki: ☆-(´>ω・`)b
Tsumugi: Banri-san, thank you! Yuki-san, you're next!
Yuki: I don't think I'd even know Ban or Momo if I wasn't an idol.
Yuki: In other  words, I'd just be a leech. So Ryunosuke-kun would have to be someone who knows the woman who'd be looking after me.
Ryunosuke: I'd be friends with your girlfriend?
Yuki: Yeah. And you'd ask me to break up with her.
Banri: Don't make this that realistic...
Yuki: Then, I'd have Ryunosuke-kun look after me instead ^^
Ryunosuke: I'd try my best to take care of you! But you're so kind that I don't think it'd come to that.
Tsumugi: Thank you, Yuki-san! Momo-san, go ahead!
Momo: If I hadn't become an idol, I'd probably have kept playing soccer. Even if I couldn't be a pro.
Momo: Then, Ryunosuke would be one of the reinforcements for a rival team, and really strong! Once the match ends, I'd just go ask him for his contact info, then we'd really hit it off, and then we'd go drinking together!
Ryunosuke: I think we'd probably have the same kind of relationship we have now!
Momo: Right! We could watch the World Cup at a sports bar and party all night, lolol
Ryunosuke: That sounds like a lot of fun! (lol)
Tsumugi: Yamato-san, you're next!
Mitsuki: Ah, wait a sec.
Tsumugi: What is it?
Mitsuki: Nagi just rolled the gacha in one of his online games, then freaked out big time because his phone ran out of battery.
Riku: Did he get anything good!?
Iori: I think the reason he's kicking up a fuss is because he can't find out.
Riku: I was just asking! If he doesn't know the results yet, then I'll just pray that  he gets something good!
Mitsuki: Yeah, you do that. Manager, can we continue once he's charged his phone?
Tsumugi: Very well! We'll resume in 15 minutes!

Oh, six new wood patterns. No, wait... it’s just one!
I love to recolor patterns. I can only encourage you to try it if you usually don’t! There are many unexpected outcomes that look completely different than the default preset. The recolor options on my more realistic patterns might be confusing at first and it might not be obvious which channel is for what, but take a bit of time to play around to get amazing results! A realistic effect pattern is mostly made up of light and dark and shadings in between. The art of pattern making is to isolate light and dark tones and put them into different channels so you can directly influence them. This lets you play with the color, but let’s you do much more, like invert colors for interesting results or choose opposing colors that start to mix and create gradient and grunge effects. Depending on what preset I chose, this also means that they mostly don’t recolor well simply by moving around all colors at once. These take a little more effort for maximum effect. So let me show you how those channels look like and how you can work with them! This is the “riveted lattices” pattern that I made earlier today. The pattern on the first screenshot is the original, all others are recolors. The four channels of this pattern look like this:
Tumblr media
Those four channels are layered on top of each other, the fourth lies on top of the third, which lies on the second, which lies on the first. Lightness and darkness define whether an area is opaque or transparent. True white means fully opaque, true black means fully transparent. Whenever there is grey in a channel, it creates a see-through effect based on how light or how dark it is. This means that the color applied to the previous channel will shine through it and even mix with the color applied to the channel containing the grey. In my patterns, the first channel is usually designated to hold the darkest color of the pattern/the shade color. It is almost fully opaque. The tiny black dots in the first channel are a “special” way to enhance the shininess of the rivets. I can set a preselected “background color” in the pattern workshop that lies underneath the first channel. Since it isn’t technically a channel, it is not recolorable. Often it is used to make sure that wherever there is an area left without any color in the pattern it does have opaqueness and color since there are no transparent patterns -  there is always some color there. Usually, this background color is set to black, but sometimes I switch it to white and use it stealthily like this :) On the wood pattern, the first channel recolors the ridges between the wooden slates. You can either enhance the contrast by giving it a very dark color in the game or create a softer look by choosing a lighter shade. You can also use a very light color and darken the other channels for a cool inverted effect. (See the dark blue wood recolor, the last of the bunch). Sometimes it can create cool effects to give the channels different/opposing colors. This makes them mix and creates interesting grunge/halo effects. (See recolor in the top right). The second channel usually contains different shapes and designs which make up the main elements of the pattern. In this example, it is the main color of the wood slates. It is usually a very light channel/high in opacity. The third channel is often used like the second one, it is also rather opaque and in this case, is reserved for another pattern structure; the rivets. The last channel is usually reserved for a lightening (or sometimes darkening) effect that can increase the depth and strength of the structure of the pattern or lower it. It is an overlay, thus the channel is more transparent in some areas and more opaque in others, increasing effect where it is needed and letting the other channels shine through. Playing around with this channel and different colors can usually give a grungy pop-art look to the pattern, as apparent in the second recolor (third pattern in the first image). That’s one reason why I love to have many different channels. I try to make them in a way that lets you also adjust the effects to be subtle or more intense, more defined light or less. So now you know a little bit about how I create my patterns and what I have in mind when setting up the channels :) Of course, different types of patterns also have different ways they recolor. Wood, stone and metal patterns, as well as structural fabric patterns, usually recolor like I mentioned here. They tend to have channels to better adjust lightness and darkness. Other more stylized patterns such as the Cath Kidston ones seldom have overlay channels, but more channels that specify different colors like you are used to by EA patterns. Hope this was interesting and you feel more confident to recolor patterns from now on :)

Let me rant about John Silver and his motivation for a sec here. Because I refuse to see him as a villain or a purely love motivated guy. He’s a reasonable bastard and no matter how much more love is in his life, in the end, he is the same smart ass rat who wants to save himself. The difference being now he also wants to save a few others.
I saw a bunch of posts about how Silver did what he did for selfish reasons and out of love and okay, I guess that’s technically true. But can we admit that he also did it because he’s an actual realist and knew this war will lead to nowhere good?
I mean the fight for Nassau was ambitious but had some sense. Or at least enough of the possibility that I happily was cheering on Flint’s speeches. But a war against England? Really?
I mean, the moment it began the war against an empire I was sure either all of them will die or most of them will die and generally the Bahamas will be covered in blood.
Lots of the people talk about the Maroons accepting a treaty instead of fighting for freedom, but we need to consider that it was Madi - raised mostly on the island and living there - wanted the fight, but Julius - who actually had to deal with being a slave for English - considered the treaty to be the better option. And of course I don’t know what exactly would be the outcome of this war, but I remember watching season 3 and how the queen of the Maroons agreed to join Flint in his fight against England and I very clearly remember thinking ‘oh my god, they’re all going to die. all of those people living on that island are going to die’.
I think Madi and Flint were willing to sacrifice their lives and many other lives for the war and I get them, their reasons and their cause were brilliant and just. But I think Silver’s motivation goes beyond him being unwilling to make as much of a personal sacrifice. It’s also partly the fact that he knew/believed they’re never going to win and all this death along the way is just going to be pointless. An act of defiance perhaps, putting some tiny crack in England’s power in this region, but nothing that would ever profit them in this life.

Did you understand that many women fail with ladies when texting since they make 3 conveniently preventable, but fatal, mistakes? I at that point dealt with how I would write that post and created a couple of recommendations when I refused that I might utilize those suggestions to write a write-up on my own, to ensure short recurring write-up generated a suggestion for me however that won't be actually duplicating. Come close to the person and also provide an honest apology if your blunder has actually led to a person to lose depend on in you. The Hynix courthouse explains the difference in between a blunder from rule ... where the realities are actually recognized but the legal consequences are not, or even are actually thought to be various than they actually are ...," Century Importers, Inc Although our company have all heard the horror stories from individuals receiving benefited from through mechanics that have actually made tips for repair services or even companies that were not essential, you don't would like to run the risk of the chance that your mechanic is actually being actually truthful with you, even if you are being or economical. Upcoming time you experience that you've slipped up, simply smile as well as be happy that you simply made a massive down payment right into you experience profile. This is actually far simpler in a discovering culture compared to in a performance-focused society, through which errors are usually watched extra severely. Lots of people make the oversight of certainly not safeguarding the pre-approved fundings before looking for homes. The trouble along with condemning people for our mistake is that our team will definitely go through the pain and also outcomes from our error, yet won't profit from this, and so bingo! Detailing in a non-defensive way what caused the mistake can assist people better recognize why this happened and how to avoid that later on.
