#i officially changed my job #hooray #i wanted to quit fully but was suddenly offered another position when i already was at the doorsteps with my resignation letter approved #i agreed and now am hired to another department #i consider it an early present for my 29th birthday in the end of month x))#i will be doing completely different stuff #more artistic and less analytical #and i have so many hopes about it #i also received a confirmation from my best friend who agreed to proofread my novel & from the artist i want to work with on illustrations #we'll start to work soon which means i'll publish at least the first part of the novel this year and both not later than 1Q2025 #i feel so hopeful for the first time in so many years and #*whispers* i'm so happy #heldig life stories #about myself

it’s with depression that i fear i have to say, i think for a long time (too long really), zuko doesn’t reach out to his uncle during his retirement in ba sing se, not even for the much needed guidance he could use, because he considers it part of the exhaustive list of reparations the fire nation (and he himself) owes

#zuko: he deserves peace too that’s what this is all for #and you zuko? your peace? (he doesn’t know the meaning of the word in relation to himself)#i’m sure iroh reaches out often. lots of letters #but for one zuko’s swamped and pushing himself past his own limits with his responsibilities besides #and for two he’s just as guilty about his treatment of his uncle as his treatment of the gaang if not probably moreso really #it is of course horribly misguided and i expect iroh would eventually show up on his doorstep like you IDIOT boy of mine—!#but until then. zuko is in fact being a self sacrificing and self hating idiot #i also think this is largely true to his character because he has no idea how to uphold normal and healthy relationships #obvi particularly familial #and zuko always deals in extremes when it comes to everything he does #so rather than outright cruelty and insults….he swings in the opposite direction and overcompensates….#by shutting iroh out completely #and justifying it as ‘he deserves peace and i do not’#which is completely incorrect of course on all levels #but he’s still learning and his development arc doesn’t end at the finale of book 3 #ebb and flow. like water one might even say teehee #idk if this is canon to the comics i’m not super familiar with them except for a few plot points and quotes #it just breaks my heart that zuko still doesn’t understand that it is harmful to withhold himself from people who care about him #than it is to supposedly protect them from knowing him and being close to him #he makes me so emo hes so emo i love him so much

this summer has been so busy! lots of good stuff happening though. i love random questions this is so fun

hmmmm my absolute fav song is peace closely followed by illicit affairs (and the august/illicit affairs pairing on the eras tour just does things to me). third favorite is the one that changes....maybe hoax??

i like reading my horoscope but i don't really believe in it! just something fun to do :)

my grandma's apple pie recipe for sure! speaking of, i should make it soon

i love wandering around and observing the architecture. i also like checking out parks/any outdoor spaces

i would ask my older relatives for memories from their childhoods, i love hearing stories but seeing memories through their eyes would be so cool! i'd want to see my grandma's memories from growing up in brazil or my parents' memories of growing up with their siblings lol

enhance hearing but specifically hearing comprehension!!!! i wish i had subtitles for real life

It's that season again when the Dutch post stops working.

(along with all other delivery services)

*sighs*

#dutch post my nemesis #it happens right after the black friday #and lasts until early january #because they overwork people #so parcels are marked as delivered #and dropped somewhere in the city #the drivers can't meet their daily quotas otherwise #sometimes they are left with your neighbours #sometimes with your neighbours five houses away on the other side of the street #sometimes at a random address on the other side of the city #you don't know where until that person shows up on your doorstep or manages to google you and send you a letter #if they ever show up #at least pakketpunts exist #meh #I miss irish post so much #the luxury of knowing where your parcels are is severely underrated
