(Re: this post)
@librarychair - Thanks! And (extremely fair) point definitely made.
After the latest treatment delay, actually earlier today I went ahead and contacted PALS for the hospital in question, asking for help with getting that rescheduled ASAP.
(Along with the prerequisite COVID tests for both Mr. C as "carer" to also be allowed inside the hospital, and of course me! Considering that was the holdup last time.)
Emphasizing that this IS a truly urgent procedure, that I have not been able to eat for months while already diagnosed with malnutrition, that I am increasingly unable to swallow at all while T1 diabetic and therefore liable to dangerous hypoglycemic episodes, and so forth.
No idea how much good that might do, especially during Plague Madness Overload--but, it couldn't hurt. PALS at our usual local hospital has certainly been helpful with trying to get some things sorted out before, including my COVID swab before the last gastroscopy.
They apparently aren't open to take calls over the weekend, so I don't guess anyone will see that e-mail until Monday at earliest. But, I thought it was best to go ahead and try while I was thinking about it, and do SOMETHING.
Not even sure who to contact directly in gastroenterology, or how. (After trying to look into it.) Or who else might be helpful to try to nudge.
But, hopefully PALS will actually do something useful!
That's the best I know to do for now. If it doesn't get me some type of reasonable response soon, I'll have to come up with some other angle of attack.
Thanks for the validation that I really do have good reason for concern, btw! That is honestly so welcome, when in person it doesn't seem like anyone outside this house gives a damn.

Wheat, rosebush
thanks for asking!
Wheat: Do you use any mods?
answered here
Rosebush: Do you dye things a lot?
i guess so. but i actually hate dyeing things bc it’s so frustrating to get the dye i need—i use white glass the most, so that isn’t too tough, but if i need like red carpet or blue terracotta it’s a pain to have to go hunting for those dyes.

7. Do you have any other crafty/artsy hobbies?
Well, I’m a theatre professional, so that. I’ve done lighting, a bit of sound, carpentry, and some props. I also have painted and drawn, I loom knit, and I’ve done other versions of embroidery. Oh, and no-sew blankets. And I made a book from scratch once for my paper wedding anniversary.
9. Have you ever made pieces as a gift for someone else? Who?
The very first piece I ever made I gave to my then-boyfriend, now-husband. He has been given many cross stitch gifts throughout the years. Some leaner money years have seen cross stitch and embroidery gifts to, like, everyone in my family.
10. How/where do you get your patterns?
I make most of my patterns now, but pinterest, etsy, and Sprite Stitch have been major sources for my patterns and inspirations

Why are your chickens named princesses?
Excellent question!  They’re all named after characters from Adventure Time!  I picked their names out when they were chicks, before I knew whether they’d all be girls or not.  A neighbor kid that I babysat a lot came to see the chicks, and asked if I’d change their names if any turned out to be boys.  I said no, boys can be princesses too.
And he said, “Just like cookie princess!” (another character in the show who was a boy cookie who dreamt of being a princess).  He got really excited about the prospect of boy princesses.

(Re: this post)
@librarychair - Thanks!
I really do need to get my partner to try and get in touch with somebody, to try and jog things like he already offered to do. I just didn't feel like dealing with anything before the weekend, so didn't bring it up again. (And he's aware of some of the medical trauma history so really does not want to come across as pushy. Which I do appreciate.)
Besides the phone and accessibility issues, they'd hopefully also take it more seriously if a man with a more British-sounding accent somebody else is expressing concern about my being on liquids for like 2 weeks now.
(That would also be easier if either one of us knew the system better to even know who to contact outside an absolute emergency, of course. Since nobody actually grew up here or has had that much successful experience dealing with the NHS.) Guessing the GP's office is the obvious place to start here--because consistently heavy gatekeeping--which doesn't greatly fill me with confidence either. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Anyway, yeah it is unsustainable. And would be even without the ED garbage making things that much harder. I was already at least on the verge of clinically underweight if not already there (with a pretty large frame to boot), and I am honestly pretty concerned now at being physically able to get a maximum of half the energy my body needs a day into it. Besides the issues of nutritional balance and, you know, quality of life.
And of course the whole underfunded healthcare system is in a particular mess right now, with the plague resurgence. Easy enough to not just fall--but actively get shoved down into--the cracks normally. *sigh*
Between the GI situation and the ongoing uncontrolled nerve/phantom limb pain from the prescription fuckery? That's why I haven't been around much lately.
And apparently needed to vent more than I intended to! Sorry to do it in your general direction.
