This was my 1st time drawing armor, I’m proud of the results 🩵🩵 I took inspiration from tuskonline on Instagram since she loves drawing ponies on armor :]

Fresh is an ice pony (a crystal pony but w ice instead), so when she’s on her ice form, her horn & hooves become transparent and frosty like ice statues, and the rest of her body gets so cold it starts to freeze the things around her, so that’s why her armor looks so cold ❄️❄️

Shining Armor, Night Light and Twilight Velvet as they would appear in the Daughter of Sombra AU. Info under cut!

Cpt. Shining Armor of the royal guard is a well-respected figure in Canterlot. Always on high alert, and always at the beck and call of Princess Celestia. Despite his best efforts to remain independent as a stallion, his parents always keep a close watch on him, even while at work. He can feel their paranoia bubbling whenever he is on a misson, as it's the few times they cannot watch over him. Rainbow Dash is his second-in-command, and he respects her skill greatly.

Night Light is a typical stay-at-home dad, trying to keep the family together as it has continued to crumble for years. The disappearance of his baby daughter has taken a toll on him, but he continuously tries his best to remain organized and collected. Despite the suffering he has caused, he tries his best to keep his head high with a sweet attitude.

Twilight Velvet, however, has never fully recovered. As a well-respected figure in Celestia's court, she always has a lot on her plate. She's stubborn and determined, but her sunny disposition has rarely been seen since that fateful night. As a mother, she continues to hold out hope for her daughter to still be out there. She worries to death about her son, the only remaining child she and Night Light have left.

Fr though i feel like mecha is what i was missing in my life. For a couple of reasons but i know what it's like to have a favourite genre now with tropes i enjoy and characters i recognise. You ppls have been doing this the whole time?? nobody told me??

Headcanon'd that Twilight Velvet was a royal guard and Night Light's a hecking nerd. Velvet retired when she became a mom and Shining Armor wants to be like his mom when he's growed up. <3

Ermmmmm other little things,,,,, Velvet has a tiny tiny lil horn and is very dookie at magic, but she makes up for it in physical prowess. She's courageous and craves adventure, kinda brash tho. How'd she end up in a family full of nerds........... I think she'd find Night Light a bit dopey and different from the knuckleheads she surrounds herself with in the guard. He loves books and is a little bit awkies, but she thinks he's cute. <3 The come from starkly different backgrounds, Night Light more on the aristocratic side of Canterlot and Twilight Velvet rising up through the ranks and having come from no line of nobility. Somewhere in the scheme of things, Velvet also has a brother (The mentioned uncle in the finale of s2) who is in the guard as well.

Also headcanon that despite the lanky and built different genes he inherited, Shining Armor's a bit on the geeky chub side of things. Probably spent a lot of his time as a kid playing Ogres and Oubliettes and reading and whatnot. Similarly to how his talents are portrayed in the show, I think he'd excel at defensive magic as opposed to offensive like his mother. Something something getting bullied something something standing up for/protecting others.
