{Ajax lays in their bed staring at the wall in front of them, the lack of sleep this season was interesting... they didn't feel tired, even if he was working on getting better the whole time they've been here. The demons have kept his mind off most things, replacing- gaining new friends, so maybe that's why he didn't notice the new pain in his throat, or how hoarse his voice was sounding.

He didn't want the others to worry about this little sickness that swept them under so, he hasn't talked much or interact much with the others. He's fine anyways...}

I don't know how to call the AU:

All six of the Toa Hordika have started getting bad migraines. Mata Nui, wanting to help them find the source, reads their coding, magic, biology, and so on. He doesn't do more because he doesn't want to accidentally mess something up. But the contact does something. Or rather, activates something that was there before.

One of the consequences is that they're becoming able to use their mask powers as Toa Hordika. Not that they notice that at first. :D

This might have to do with my AU where being chosen by Mata Nui has side-effects on them.

first thing this idea conjured for me was mata nui waking up, looking around somewhat frantically for a while and then going (calm yet increasingly panicked) "i fucking lost vakama"

wonderful news! the animal grandparents have their powers again! horrible news! they are awful little bastard beasts with a penchant for new and exciting ways to fuck up the law even when theyre trying to abide to it and once they realize they have them back they will use these abilities for evil -> Advanced Cat Shenanigans

sometimes they dont even mean to, like the example above with vakama or when its a bit dark and whenua wants to help mata nui read something so he fucking flashbangs him on accident. matau and nuju def mainly use their mask powers for trouble and mayhem tho the absolute assholes. onewa is surprisingly well behaved with mind control (hes still protecting the pack and its very convenient to just blast FUCK OFF into the mind of whoever comes in and have them comply immediately) and nokama is just happy to Know Things All The Time Again. including swears. shes learning so many swears. she is stashing them away to unleash them when the time is right. she could cuss you and your next four generations into the grave with the most heavily constructed curse youve ever had the displeasure of being positively annihilated by. no one can stop her. no one can match her mastery of the art. shes too powerful

how DOES mata nui unlock that. hm. i have the idea that he is connected to takanuva via code (got too excited about the little guy being made to help him and accidentally left a bit of himself in the coding when he snuck off to see it) so maybe something similar, just dipping into the connection he has w the metru through having chosen them. hes deleting things that could bother them and doesnt notice he enabled mask powers on again. whoops.

Between Chandlo, Wiggle and Gramble, I think none of them actually take in what Shelda teaches them. Sure, they go to her sermons and listen to her ramblings but none of them really "get it", so to say.

Chandlo is the clearest example of this, probably because we see him with Shelda the most. He listens to her explain something, then completely misunderstands it. She tells him not to consume the toxins, and he takes it as avoiding bugsnax that are toxic. He continues to eat bugsnax. Even though he doesn't fully understand her, he probably gets the most out of her lessons, just. Know that it makes sense why Shelda had to just up and say "that boy needs therapy" instead of making a metaphor.

(We literally only see Wiggle and Gramble with her once so everything I'm about to say is complete and utter bullshit)

Wiggle openly admits to the journalist that she has absolutely no idea what Shelda's talking about. She's there for the vibes and that's kind of... it? Her whole thing is that she's looking for experiences, and even though I'm Wiggle's #1 defender, I am fully willing to believe that even if she did understand Shelda, she wouldn't really listen to anything she says. In the one time we see her interact with Shelda, she doesn't take Shelda eating bugsnax seriously at all. Wow cool you're questioning your entire religion and are giving in to the failures you warn others of? Change it up a little, darling! Girlypop does not care and I can't really fault her for that.

Gramble... Gramble's kinda different. I feel that simultaneously he's the only one who understands what Shelda is saying, but he's also the one who's the least ready to actually hear it. They have an important thing in common, with neither of them (cough) initially (cough) eating bugsnax, but they have completely different views on the matter. Gramble doesn't eat bugsnax himself, but his dependence on them is one of the most extreme of anyone in Snaxburg. So when Shelda warns him of the toxins influence, he knows that if he listens it would mean accepting that his bugsnax don't love him the way he loves them. Girl is NOT ready to accept his role in his own unhappiness!

Has McQueen ever done Xfinity, truck, or Arca series races or did he just go YOLO into the piston cup series?

i think he raced in late model stock and then jumped to the piston cup

i personally believe him to be 18 in cars 1, putting him at too young to have experienced an affiliated with piston cup series season before this, so i think he raced in a late stock tour for the three years beforehand.

rusty and dusty, being producers of a product for vehicles, wanted in on the racing scene. they didnt really know how to kickstart it, but shockingly enough, mack, already a driver for rusteze, happens to come across the one kid in the country with a wish to be in the piston cup and Real talent that can get him there. rusty and dusty were Half skeptical, because really, lightning was a great kid, and all they really wanted to see was how well he could drive.

he went up against seasoned professionals and WON. he only ever got better with each race, and he impressed them an insane amount, and they decided that - if lightning wanted to - when he was of age, they would create Rusteze Racing and bring him in under them. obviously, we all know how that went.

SO let's talk about Thor + his """Arrogant""" façade, fellas, because I see a lot of bad takes take Thor is an conceited buffoon who talks too much and is very, very dense.... and while absolutely none of that is true, I also think that's the beauty of Thor's façade in THOR (2011). It's all one big lie. Thor isn't vain. He isn't conceited. He isn't strong in his self-esteem.

In fact, at no point, in all of his 1,500 years, has Thor ever been any of those things. That IS the lie. That is his biggest lie.

A great many people - the audience and the characters in Thor's own universe, including his own family, - ASSUME as much. And how can they do anything but?

He's effervescent and hopeful, he tells good jokes (even without meaning to), has a sterling smile and is altogether jolly. So he must be happy a great deal of the time. He gets along well with others. He's charming and knows how to sway a crowd and bounces between his friends with ease and a natural, extraverted fluidity. He must have a great many friends he's close to, and he must never be lonely. Thor is self-assured and comfortable in his abilities. He is fully aware of what he is capable of and just how much he can take at once. He's a well-established warrior and the most powerful person in all of Asgard (discounting Odin), both in literal physical/magical prowess and in station... so Thor must be self-confident and unfaltering. Thor is a member of royalty at the top of the food chain, and CLEARLY knows his station. He carries himself with a dignified nobility about him. An air of purpose. He must be strong-willed and proud ...

...and he must also be vain, greedy, (unintentionally) cruel and overall thoughtless of those around him, putting all of these assumptions together. ESPECIALLY when taking into account the surface-level of his rash, impulsive, bull-headed, hot-headed, stubborn actions and words.

Suddenly, a passionate individual who wants to protect his home is "only thinking as a warrior". Suddenly a highly anxious individual about to be crowned king and overcompensating for his lack of confidence is now showboating for the enjoyment of showboating. Suddenly a reserved and quiet, kind person with a big heart, protective nature and complete dedication to servant-leadership of his kingdom is a cantankerous buffoon "unworthy" of the crown to rule.

The most well-crafted lie Thor ever crafted was that he has ever been anything but "fine", and totally self-assured, and the fact that even the MCU audience was fooled by his lie (unless they'd been paying attention to him in particular) says volumes about just how thorough Thor actually was about it.
