Lāhainā Memories - Light Beneath the Banyan Tree (2023)

Taken on the last saturday prior to the fires, when I was on the west side of the island for a full twelve hour day - as I was waiting for the museum to open nearby, something in me wanted to take a photo. I don't really take as many landscape or nature photos like I did in 2017/18, but I remember looking up and wanting to capture that memory, and I'm glad that I listened to my instinct and was able to have this memory of a place that meant many things to myself and the rest of Maui.

The fundraiser with @ilimanator , @nawahinetoa , @kakoo_haleakala , @quentin.quarantino , and @tiare_lawrence has been the main fundraiser I've been sharing on my posts and has 5 days left as of the time that I'm writing this, and I'm hoping we can raise more to help support those affected by the fires.
