I Know What You Are... You Are Mega Man!
The differences between each Mega is something I love and appreciate, plus it's also fun to compare them side-by-side for it.
I think it's really amusing how they start with robots that slowly reach near-human traits, and then there's a straight-up human. Albeit, he is merged with a non-human being.
And then there's Volnutt. I know he could probably be narrowed down to an "artificial human", but I like the idea of tying him to his celestial origins as Trigger that are still half a mystery.
Such is my running-joke with him. He is just... Volnutt (currently).

okay so hear me out y/n in a revealing outfit for shadow milk cookie and pure vanilla cookie to rate It and you can of course make It yandere :3
oooh, I was brainstorming really hard on this one mhm, I have so many interesting post in my askbox I'm so happy and grateful for you guys ahhhhh hearts!!!
WARNING- Yandere, outfit ripping,
Pure vanilla will definitely favour a light color palette, consisting of creams, white, soft pinks, or baby blues. Very dreamy. Shadow milk's got the opposite spectrum; dark blues with gothic influences. He wants to make you a living doll. Anyways let me skip to the part where we're all here for. Now...with Pure Vanilla seeing you in a revealing outfit, he'd cup your cheeks, eyes filled with awe. “Oh, my dear… You look divine" you’d see the slight dusting of pink across his cheeks—he’s not immune to fluster, even if he tries to be composed. If the outfit had a lot of frills or a dreamy, fairytale-like quality, he’d melt.
But if it’s too revealing, you might hear him gently clear his throat, his fingers subtly adjusting the fabric. “Ah, this design is rather… daring. But it suits you beautifully, even if I’d prefer something a touch more modest.” What can I say? The man is old-fashioned.
His rating? 9.5/10. He adores how angelic you look, but if the outfit is too immodest, he’ll definitely get a bit shy about it.
“Now this—” he drawls, circling you like a predator inspecting his prize, “—this is art.” He’d love the contrast of darker, bolder colors—deep purples, velvety blacks, even a dramatic splash of his very own blue. If the outfit has intricate designs, dramatic draping, or something teasing like sheer fabric, he’d be so pleased. “Ah, Pure Vanilla likes his little doll in soft pastels, does he? Tch. Predictable.” He tugs at the fabric slightly, admiring how it clings to you. “But this? This makes you look absolutely ruinable.”
His rating? 10/10. No complaints. None. It’s perfect. If anything, he’d probably start thinking of even more daring additions just to mess with you further. Their final thoughts? Pure Vanilla: “You don’t have to wear something so bold, little one… You’re already beautiful in anything.” Shadow Milk: "Oh, please. Let them enjoy the attention. Look at them—don’t they just shine under it?” But then, in a rare moment of agreement, their gazes darken at the same time. The outfit is pretty, yes… but wouldn’t it be even better if it was in pieces? Pure Vanilla tilts his head, feigning a thoughtful sigh. “This fabric is so delicate. I worry it might not last very long…” Shadow Milk grins, a sharp, wolfish smirk as he tugs teasingly at the hem. “Mm. A real shame.” His voice is dripping with amusement. “Wouldn’t it be so tragic if it just… fell apart?”
Before you can react, there’s the unmistakable sound of fabric tearing.
Pure Vanilla’s hands, gentle as they may seem, are deceptively strong as he easily pulls apart the fragile material at the seams. Shadow Milk, on the other hand, grip is ripping away excess fabric without a second thought. “Well,” Pure Vanilla murmurs, trailing a finger down your now-exposed skin, his smile far too composed for the situation. “I suppose that makes it a perfect 100/10.”
Shadow Milk’s breathy laugh is pure mischief. “See? Much better.” He flicks away the last bit of fabric clinging to you, watching as it flutters to the floor. “You should’ve just let us do this from the start.”
Outfit Rating? Doesn’t matter. The real fun is in ruining it -- I feel like this at this point I should just write my own characters because I think I'm ruining PV and SM, are they too out of character??? Like, I know PV would never do this but I just love the though of him hanging around SM and SM just becoming such a horrible menace and influence on him.

Hi!! I just wanted to say that the way you draw characters/use colors in your art is an absolute dream, I've never seen anything prettier. Do you have a specific way you pick/use colors, or any advice for coloring? You inspire my art so much, and I'd love to learn how to color like you someday :)
@braventheninth gonna reply to both of you here hope that's cool!
aaaah thank you so much I'm really honoured to hear you both like it and that it inspires you anon !! ;v; I don't actually know much about art theory-wise, aside from very basic colour theory that I always forget so most of my choices are pretty instinctual and based on my own preferences!
i can do my best to explain my thought process though! uuh it is. lots of text though just as a warning.
one thing I tend to do with almost everything is pick what kind of colour mood I'm going for! usually, since I love orange and also warm feelings, I'll aim for some kind of warm tone and when doing that I try to slide every colour I pick towards the warm end of the colour wheel. Blacks and whites are especially good for this! As a general thing I almost fully avoid picking any colours along those edges of the colour picker
instead I'll move all my colour choices a nudge into the square for the colours towards the tone I want (in this case warm) (the white is there be warm too I just forgor to type it).
and since I wanted warm colours for this drawing I desaturated the blue of Brain's pants so it would fit in better. I once heard someone say you should always pick one main colour and saturate fully and the further away from it on the colour wheel you got, the more desaturated your colours should be. I don't really do that bc I like my colours to stay bright but I do keep it in mind to mess around with sometimes.
I'm not always great at keeping this consistent, but I think it usually makes for pretty decent results... Other things I keep in mind are that when I pick the colour for my shadows I always make a little slide on the colour wheel towards the opposite tone of what I based my main colours on. oh and picking the right base colours ?? no clue tbh I always put every colour on it's own layer and then I spend a couple minutes adjusting them all seperately until I feel like they go well enough together. I usually avoid the bottom to right section of the square fully, bc I find they often get oversaturated and muddy, but that's just a personal preference I guess.
also since I enjoy the way coloured lineart works for my stuff I tend to mess around with layer settings for my lineart! usually the end results will look something like this:
where the clipped layer is clipped on to my colours folder. lineart is the only place where I just use plain black since I'm gonna change it with these layer settings later. it often still shows up as black for darker colours (and especially blues?) but it keeps a slightly coloured edge that I enjoy. if the blacks of the end result don't look good, messing around with the layer opacity usually changes stuff up. sometimes I'll also erase part of the lineart from one of the layers as a way to adjust.
I think what might be more relevant though, is the way I've been picking my colours for most of my recent posts though, which is. very differently. and also quite dependant on the fact I've been drawing on Tegaki! Tegaki has a limited colour palette that looks like this
only the 6 colour slots next to the bottom greyscale can be replaced by your own colours. As shown here I only bothered to add something to half of them; mainly the beige-ish colour I like to use for whites, a brown that I never use bc it's ugly with everything else here and a purple? that I only Think I added. both the brown and purple suffer from being too desaturated for the rest of the palette, which makes them stand out in a pretty bad way when used tbh.
I have. absolutely no idea what I'm doing with colours on this site though ngl. I think it just automatically pushes you to be a little more chaotic with the choices? a simple example is the green I picked for Link's tunic here doesn't really have any good, easy choice for shading imo. most of the "darker" green tones just feel more saturated, and it sticks out pretty bad as a shading colour for the more muted green I picked for the tunic. Removing those, the choice was either a mossy green or a blue.
and while the mossy green is still green, it feels far too dark a shading colour compared to what I picked as shading for the rest of the drawing. The blue has the added bonus of being closer to the purple I used for the black-ish parts.
I think my point is that it's really easy to push yourself to make some fun new choices when the tools you're using limit you a bit in a way? Looking at it now, I'm also seeing that the hands were lined with very different colours. I remember just thinking that I couldn't be bothered to find the exact same purple I used for the first hand so I just went with the first thing I landed on, that being a pink. But now I think it works pretty well since the one hand is lifted a bit more into the light and that goes well for a bright colour like pink. happy accidents and all that right ?
I am fully just yapping at this point 🧍 but the point still goes for most things drawn on this site.
like there was no reason to add the blues or reds or pinks to the heather here but I only had so many purple shades to work with. it might be less realistic but I don't think it would've come out as well if I had stuck to only the purple shades from my reference photo.
This ended up way way too long and I have no idea if any of it made sense or was helpful at all, but it was surprisingly fun to reflect on my own choices a bit more! especially since I often just do whatever I feel like I think it's helpful to sit back and consider what instinct actually tells me it's the right thing to do.
in an attempt to do something actually helpful uuh I recommend messing around with 2 specific things and switching around with them a bit; namely limited colour palettes (like 1 or 2 main tones imo) and then just going absolutely ham and just using whatever colour for everything (make them orange! put some blue and purple on the bark! leaves can be blue if they want to! (go more ham than I did tbh))
I think just messing around does so much for making some kind of sense of colours even without Knowing how they work. it's easy to say we should all study, but personally I'm pretty bad at it and it's more fun to just trial and error it... errors do happen a lot though omg do they happen, but that's helpful for figuring stuff out too!
#ask#when I called myself Yappinator 2000 on bsky this is exactly what I meant shfdiuhsdf#feeling a little sick and should've probably slept early instead of figuring this out but it was rly fun and relaxing actully!#considering how bad I've slept recently ending the day with lots of quiet pondering might be just what I need haha#I should probably get the triangle colour wheel so I can lessen all those colours I don't like to use but I'm too used to it being like thi#too tired to have imposter syndrome too tired to overthink whether I make sense. it's quite nice actually#I hope at least some of it will be helpful or fun :)#almost started overthinking anyway I am pulling myself back by the scruff and off to bed#sleep well everyone whenever you do <3#also. totally no secret tegaki agenda here totally 👀 it's totally not like I think everyone should at least try that site haha no waay#it's only full of cool and nice people just like here and you can draw silly comments to each other#and also runs better on chrome than firefox wink wink......... spleepy time..........

Woowww, I LOVE the texture of your art 😍 can I ask how you achieve the many fine lines? Do you do them all by hand or do you have a specific brush? I’d love to hear more about your process in general!
Hello!! Firstly, thank you SO MUCH for your words, they seriously mean so much to me and every time I get a cute little reblog tag or an ask like this, I squeal in excitement !!
As for my brush/process, I would be happy to share! I work on Clip Studio Paint and I seriously love it. It's got so many cool features, and I barely know a third of them. As for brushes, I use one of the stock brushes they have, charcoal, under the pastels category.
In terms of process for this veiltober lineup, I am doing every line manually, one by one, but I have a couple of things that help me through the pieces.
First, I don't work with color right away. Once I have the sketch done, I will lay down some base values that give a good contrast to the piece. Doing this allows me to focus on the values and not so much on the palette I will use later.
Then, I manually go in and start doing every line. I try to have it follow some sort of flow (for the coulds/smoke/etc) or the planes of the body, face. And I work on the contrasts too, see what works or what doesn't work, what needs to be more hidden or brought out more.
Then I will group all my layers, duplicate that group (to keep the original, in case I wanna change anything), and merge all the layers in the group so as to have one single layer with everything. With that layer, I apply a gradient map and watch my B&W drawing colorize! In CSP, you have to go into Edit > Tonal Correction > Gradient map. I Also make some final adjustments on another layer, like white accents, extra lines or different colors (like Solas' arm here).
It's not that smooth though! Some pieces take a really long time because I'm constantly playing with colors, contrasts and details. Seeing what works, experimenting. There's always a lot of layers and groups in my files because of that xD
Hope that answers your questions :D Once again, ty for asking! It totally brightened my day!! I'll be going back to making the pieces now :3

People are making fun of the luxe outfits but I think they’re pretty decent, there was thought put behind them.
Omg thank you for saying this anonie 😭😭 if you weren’t gonna send this in, I would have made my own post on it
I get why the outfits didn’t hit right at first. I saw the live 2D of Azul’s outfit and got a bit sad at first since the way the sleeves fell and the way the jacket framed his body didn’t look super flattering (plus I was sad it wasn’t a tailcoat ahahahahah). This is coupled with the fact that among the three, Azul fits the least in those colors hahaha. Those aren’t bad colors by any means, in fact, as someone who’s gotten a color analysis and came out with autumn as my best color palette, those are suchhh perfect colors for me. But Azul doesn’t fit those at all, especially the light brown. Heck, even if you just flipped the colors of the jacket and the dress shirt underneath, he would have looked so much better since dark colored tops work better with him in general than light colored ones (unless we’re talking silver/lavender/light blue, Those fit him very well).
Jamil and Ace are lucky in that they do fit the color palette better. People also just took issue with how Jamil’s pants look very wide.
But honest thoughts? I find that they do look good, especially when considering the theme of the event, and the event itself has listed the reasonings behind the designs of their outfits.
I think we have to remember that this is high fashion, hence the fits won’t hit with the majority of the fandom, who don’t really follow that kind of fashion. Jamil’s fit, especially with the wide pants, is common to see in fashion, and really to be honest, when we take into account of his character and personality, wide pants fits Jamil more than slim pants. Plus, in the event, the reason for that kind of fit is because of Vil’s profile for Jamil that he sent to the designer: a plain or humble guy who worries a lot in the background, to which the designer adjusted to a humble guy who behaves in moderation (from @mysteryshoptls).
Ace’s fit hits well with many people because it matches a lot of trends and classic fashion tips that we, especially younger people, like to see: slim figure, an emphasized waist, cropped top. It matches his description that Vil gave of him being an immature potato 😂 or the designer’s adjusted version of him having that fresh new student feel (also @mysteryshoptls).
Azul, now I will say he’s just a victim to the live2D not doing him any service. 🥲 The sleeves fall very stiffly, and the jacket doesn’t seem to frame him well. But you can see in his SR how the outfit is meant to look and shine:

The sleeves are meant to be very flowy especially when he’s walking and making dramatic gestures with his arms (something that he does a Lot in his live2D). His jacket as well is meant to be that long so that it would look like a trail (??? English isn’t Englishing rn) especially when he’s walking or making big movements. In other words, Azul’s outfit probably doesn’t stand out too much at first. But the moment he brings out the drama, the drama of his fit shines and amplifies his theatrics, thus attracting people. It sort of matches Vil’s profile for Azul is a scammer, and the designer adjusted it to a mysterious person who charms people (also @mysteryshoptls).
There’s a lot of thought put into the design, and I love them so much. I still find the colors a bit of a tragedy personally, only because it’s not Azul’s best colors, but thematically, considering the event story, it makes a lot of sense. I’m excited for what happens later on in the story and what they’re going to do in the film festival :3c

Tips and Tricks for krita (part two electric boogaloo)
Ok so this one is going to be a doozy because im going to include a lot of examples and tips for how to use filters (AKA YOUR NEW BEST FRIEND)
Link to part one.
Ok so filters in krita can be a doozy so ill cover the ones i use in my art the most, these will be adjust, artistic, and enhance dropdowns. I will be using my art pieces to show how i modify my art- colourwise!
Obviously, start off with opening the filter menu up. Color balance brings you to this menu, where you can play around with the colour of your shadows, your midtones, and higlights. Its a lot of trial and error, just messing around to see what fits, and its how i got to this point. through just pushing the dials up and down. Honestly, a lot of this part of the tutorial is going to be me telling you to hit those dials and levers like you dont know nobody.
Even just small modifications as you can see can play so much of a difference. For here, i upped the cool tones for john, and upped the warm ones for dave. Colour theory without colour theorising i suppose you could say.
Crosschannel adjustment curves can help with contrast and colour intensity. Usually i have one point which i use to move up and down per my whims to control how bright my work is, and it can really help with really bringing out those colours so it doesnt all fall into one hue. Colour adjustment curves works similiarly, play around with them to get the desired effect.
Krita also has HSV adjustment, but i usually use just the hue and saturation. Theyre pretty self explanatory, and can switch up your palette in pretty fun ways.
Now we move on to the ARTISTIC part. Again, i recommend you play around with them yourself, but i find index colours works really well for making really pretty art really fast! You just put in a few colours with descending lightest to darkest and you get an awesome art piece! Id say this is useful for pixel artists, but also useful for other parties. I might just start using this more myself. Its so easy wtf.
AND FINALLY THE MOST IMPORTANT THING.
HOW MY ART IS SO CRUNCHY.
If youve been following me for a while you probably noticed theres a slight crunch to my art. It gives it a slight bit of texture and makes it noticable. How do i do it?
You're welcome.
insert image of face on 90% opacity and comedic text for purpose.
Alternatively, if youre looking for a sbahj level of crunchiness, smack that "mean removal"for some fun.
Thats all! Happy drawing.

Can I ask how you do the color overlay/backgrounds on your color palette posts? Specifically the rose tyler one.
Sure nonnie, sorry it took me a while to get to I had some other colour palette requests and wanted to make a little tutorial for you using one of them when I got to them. So I'm gonna use this gif from this gifset because I really liked how the colours came out. I'll be honest I have no set colouring pattern for these, the colouring differs from gifset to gifset but it follows the same basic steps. (also a little warning, I tend to ramble when I'm making tutorials so hopefully it makes sense)
For this tutorial you will need:
Basic gifmaking knowledge (I make mine on the timeline option on PS but it works with frames too)
Your gif prepared with your preferred colouring and sharpening
Knowledge of using layer masks when gifmaking (if not don't worry i'll show where to find them)
So here's the gif before all the colouring;
and here's the gif after I've put my normal base psd on and made the adjustments to it;
Now we come to the fun part, like I said before what I do varies from gifset to gifset so just play around with it. A good tip though I've found for changing the background though is choosing a scene that has a lot of blue or cyan because I find them easiest to change the colour of, but it works with any colour to be fair.
For this gifset I started by adding a hue/saturation layer and setting the cyan and blue (or whatever the main colour of you gif is) and setting them to -100, it's not an essential step but it does help if the blue/cyan route is the way you went.

that make the gifset look like this;
All the blue and cyans have turned have turned to gray so now we can start experimenting with our colour overlays. So I created a new layer and filled it with my desired colour, which was this lovely purple colour here;

And i set the layer blending mode to soft light.

And got this nice result, the parts that were gray now have a purple colour to them, but it's not quite the same shade I'm trying to get, so I duplicated the colour layer, keeping the same blending mode.

We're getting there now, but I want to try making the purple a bit brighter now, so I duplicated the purple layer again, but this time I set the blending mode to lighten, and turn the opacity down to 12%

It's a tiny difference, but it's perfect for the shade I'm trying to get, but like I said above it's all down to experimenting with different blending options. Now my only issue is I want to bring back Dustin and Erica's natural skin tones that have been given the purple shade due to the layers. That's where layer masks come in. To get a layer mask pick the layer you want and and click the little icon I've circled underneath where your layers are, which brings up the mask as a white box next to it.

With the white box selected I select the brush tool and make sure the colour of the brush is set to black and paint over the areas of the gif I want to take the purple shade away from (note this step works better on subjects that don't show a lot of movement in the gifs, but there are other tutorials out there that show key frame colouring and stuff that I'll link at the bottom of this)
So now the mask should look like this;

Then I need to apply the ayer mask to the other purple layers, for that I press ctrl and click on the layer mask (not sure what that would be on mac sorry)

It should look simular to this, the outer area selected is where the purple colouring is the the circles are the are you're trying to change, with that select your next colour layer and apply layer mask, that will then give it the same altered layer mask from the pervious layer. Then repeat these steps on all your colour layers.

They should all now look like this leaving you're gif looking like this;
And here's the final result, Dustin and Erica have their normal skin tones while the surrounding areas of the gif are now the colour I changed them to. I hope I explained things clearly enough, if not don't hesitate to ask me any follow up questions, here's some other tutorials for changing colours in gifs:
my own colour gradiant tutorial
gradiant colour map blending
key frame colouring
gradiant fill layers
colour manipulation
Just remember to be creative and mess around with it, there's all sorts of results you can get from different blending options that might work better for you ;)
#here you go nonnie#i hope my rambling paid off and this helps :)#asks#tutorials#tutorials*#resources#gifs*

Ganyu's original designs were one of my least favorites, mainly with how it looked. From the torso area to the weird skirt or dress part, I had a lot of mixed feelings. With how much I didn't like the outfit, I did concept art to try and picture a new outfit:

The first outfit on the left won me already. The idea was from an outfit in a game called Time Princess. I will say, though, I did use some features from her old design, like the fur on the end of her sleeves and the skirt thing.

I also removed the bell, too, because the bell plus the horns with the "cocogoat" name... let's just say it gave me a theory on how the name came, and it made me uncomfortable. I also removed the red because it doesn't work with the white and purple color palette she has. I also forgot to put her vision in the end, so her vision is that blue diamond attached to her purple sash.
The outfit wasn't the only thing I had changed.
Normally, the physical details are ok for me. But with Ganyu, it bugged me how she is half qilin and it's not really present. I did some research on them and their physical features to get it correct. This included an ox like tail, deer antlers, and dragon scales. Fun fact, qilin has antlers, not horns. Here's a picture of a statue of what a qilin is depicted normally:

Speaking of the horns, I changed the colors to white and blue because I felt the red and black had a more villainous vibe, which doesn't fit someone as soft and quiet as Ganyu. I did try to keep the markings the same.
The one change that surprised me was her hair. At first, I was gonna keep the hair the same. But during the redesign, I had the idea of adding qilin whiskers to her hair, which I got from @zoe-oneesama 's Ryuko power(I love her art and story writing. Thank you for the idea). Note: The Ryuko art rightfully belongs to @zoe-oneesama and not me.

I like to think her whiskers move and react to her emotions. However, making the whiskers meant adjusting the hair, so I went for a high ponytail with part of it being in a bun. (Note: I didn't hate the ponytail. I just had trouble doing the long whiskers and low ponytails together)
Also, this was the first time I learned about Ganyu's heterochromia. At first, I was gonna go for full purple eyes but decided to at least try and see how it goes. And it came out very pretty (only the red and purple are reverse because I went for the idea AFTER thinking to do full purple). I also made her nose roundish to fit her shy personality. I wanted to make her tan skin because it would work nicely with the colors she has, but I wasn't sure if there are chinese people that have that skin tone. I kind of got scared and didn't want to make a mistake here, so I kept the original skin tone, which still works nicely with the colors. But still, can someone just confirm for me on that last part so I'm aware, please 🙏

Why is Angie your favourite character?
This is really funny I just got off call with Glownary and was talking about how much I don't miss Danganronpa discourse. Anyway I hope someone finds a way to get mad at me in this post!
((Admittedly I'd probably actually place Korekiyo above her because he ACTUALLY has a relevant and specified canon story,,, but, y'kno))
Plain and simple, she just has a handful of design and character tropes I super adore in characters! As a base, I'm usually not super into,,, well-adjusted, well-liked , reasonable, and rational characters. LMAO. They're fine but I live for exaggeration. I LOVE when they're little freaks and not watered down at all for the viewers sake/comfort, I love when they (both the writers and the written) just keep twisting the knife for no good reason other than the bit despite how unconventional it may be.
One could argue that her not being watered down and being as shitty to the other players as she is is a trauma response, or just a mentally ill person being mentally ill. It can be neat to think of her that way sometimes! It's of my opinion that almost all Danganronpa characters are super open-ended lore/personality-wise and we as fans are just making up canon as we go because it's FUCKING FUN, and, as such, all the ways that Angie can be interpreted is very interesting to me-- EVEN if that's seen as "the irredeemable annoying religion-force-feeding zealot antagonist." Which is, of course, an objectively awful way to view anyone REGARDLESS of media illiteracy, but, you know! I like weird freaks so this "flaw" they see is simply more food for me. Yippee!!
Whether I think she's canonically A) genuinely malicious and sadistic, B) traumatized from an abusive religious sect, C) honestly caring about the other players, and/or D) none/all of the above? I'll never tell! Oops all bangers!
Tropes I enjoy, whether or not I found myself enjoying them BECAUSE of Angie herself;;
Religion, especially if it's horrifying and...bad! (Most of my own characters deal heavily with religion and religious trauma, I think it's cool to play with, whether or not it's a fantasy religion like I think Angie's is)
CULTS! Cult behavior! Let's live in a commune!! (GUYS I LOVE MIDSOMMAR)
Dark skin / light hair contrast color combo goes hard!!!
+ The pansexual flag palette is literally my favorite color combo ever!!!!
Manipulative little shits!!!!!
Small scary women!!!!!!
Islander stuff, it's very nostalgic to me and I just have a deep love and appreciation for the beach and ocean!!!!!!!
Piercings!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cutesy sunshine character who could and would stab you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BLOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IDK HOW THIS WASN'T MY FIRST POINT!!!!!!!!!!
AND SHE'S JUST FUCKING SILLY!!!!!!!! SHE'S GENUINELY SO FUNNY AND CUTE ESPECIALLY IN HER INTERACTIONS WITH SHUICHI!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE HER SO BAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
She was an IMMEDIATE favorite when I played V3 and when I found out that, like, everyone fucking HATED her and she's probably the least liked character in the entire class by the fans, my brain immediately went the contrarian route to find reasons to like her even MORE. I tend to do this a lot, but when it's a character I already enjoy, it's even worse, dude.
ummmmm obligatory Shinnaga mention sorry but I frequently tend to appreciate a character a lot more based on potential dynamics alone. Ships, romantic or not, have legitimately gotten me to enjoy characters I hated before, based on interesting interactions unique to them alone. So while Kiyo and Angie's (they're making out btw) ingame dynamic and dialogues aren't REALLY what my sick and twisted mind views them as, it's worth noting that my honest belief and interpretation of the two of them could even give me a sliver of that dynamic being possible .......... means she's fuckin slay ............ it means love wins..... It means Vote For Yonaga 2024

TOP 5 GPOSES FROM FFXIVTOBER 2024
I had basically zero knowledge of how to use gpose in ffxiv when i started this challenge, so I used a ffxivtober prompt list to force myself to learn. I completed all 31 days and think I improved a LOT!
I super want to do more of these because it was a lot of fun. If you see any similar prompt lists in the wild send them my way ^^
Anyway, here are my Top 5 of the 31 days!
HONORABLE MENTION -- Day 6 - "Crossover"

This is the earliest day I really felt "proud" of the shot, so while it isn't top 5 I want to include it. I'm actually quite familiar with Nier, and since it's an official crossover I had a lot of material to work with. Ultimately I picked Puppet's Bunker since it has a lot of cinematic areas. I got to feel like a real smartass using a spear with a red dragon on it. And the ray of sunlight across the shot adds something extra, imo.
#5 -- Day 27 - "Murky"

I really, really love how the colors turned out here. Amaurot seemed like an ideal setting for this prompt, but I had forgotten about the eerie rays of light shining down on it in the overworld. I love how the helices in the architecture are obscured enough by fog/light so they almost look like tentacles of a sea creature... I liked both of these color filters a lot as well.
#4 -- Day 18 - "Masquerade"

This one was so fun coming up with a dynamic pose. I decided to do some scouting in The Grand Cosmos, as it's the most "masquerade ball" place in the game. I saw the dragon statue that turns into an enemy when you run by it and had the brainwave to frame it in the picture like they were Kezona's wings. Combined with the skull mask and fire horns I think the effect looks great. WOULD take his hand, 10/10.
#3 -- Day 22 - "Color Palette (Swap)"

I went for a light/sin-eater version of a Reaper for this prompt, since they're usually dark/voidsent aligned. Thanks again to @flame-of-tar-valon for inspiring the idea. I LOVE the outfit I came up with here; even went the extra mile and crafted golden jewelry purely for the glam. Since sin-eaters are basically zombies in canon, I did want to maintain some feral aspects with the appearance, so I also incorporated talons and claws to contrast the angelic imagery a bit.
I'm keeping the glam in rotation, & I might actually revisit this shot with a better background, like the Innocence/Mt. Gulg areas or even the Endwalker Alliance Raids.
#2 -- Day 29 - "Horror/Gore"

This one turned out SO cool looking, and it was the one I struggled with the most conceptually! Thanks again to @ofdarklands and @ferrocyan, whose combined help resulted in this shot. Overall I love how the colors pop out, and ESPECIALY the effect of a dark halo in the background framed by the Diabolos wings. Thrilled to have such a neat shot in the final post of the challenge!
#1 -- Day 11 - "Goth"

This is one that just turned out perfect to me. I was messing with the manual lighting adjustment, which created the second silhouette shot and totally floored me. I love how something as simple as the lighting slider can make such a great visual contrast. Add on the cool factor of the scythe and raven feathers... ough. I liked these shots so much I made them my lock screen and desktop backgrounds.

Requested by my mutual once again, here comes one of the sweetest girls from the game: Kanata Inori!
Kanata here went through quite a few changes while also being relatively the same as she still wears a button-up shirt, skirt, and slippers combo. However, I changed the type of skirt and slippers: the skirt is one I found on google and I liked it's asymmetrical design that I decided to give it to Kanata, and the slippers were simply made to look more fitted as her original ones look like they can easily slip off. I also changed the cross symbol to a cute little panda design instead cause I saw these cute animal slippers and decided that she'd be the kind of person to wear these kinds of slippers. Her shirt is basically the same, as least from what you can see from underneath the coat, I just tucked the shirt in. Her lab coat isn't as long as her OG one, and honestly, I think it'd be better for Kanata to have one that's adjusted for her small height. I also got rid of the belt from her OG design cause it's basically useless??? It's not even holding up anything like her skirt, so why does she even have one around her waist? I also removed the ribbon but I added some hairclips to her hair instead! Speaking of her hair, I wanted to keep the shape of her tousled hair as it's very cute. But I ended up changing her pigtails to a single, thicker, over the shoulder ponytail instead as her splash art make it look like she's wearing a single ponytail and I liked it so much that I decided to give her that hairstyle instead. A feminine but more serious type of hairstyle. Sorry to anyone who likes Kanata with her pigtails, though. I added an ID and a butterfly patch to her lab as it's common for doctors to wear IDs in the hospital and Kanata is a professional that would wear one, while the butterfly patch is to show a bit more of her cutesy side. I basically wanted to try and balance out her seriousness as a doctor and her friendly, and sometimes playful, personality as a teenage girl. As for her colors, I ended up changing her palette from lilac and blue to pastel green and teal. They're still adorable colors but green is more associated with health while teal can represent calmness. Her hair ended up looking a lot more blonde while drawing her, and her eyes are now a brighter shade of blue. Also, Kanata now has scars because, let's be real here, if the car crash she was in was THAT bad to the point that no doctor wanted to risk working on her cause they were certain she wouldn't make it until Dr. Ando stepped in to do it himself, there's no way she came out of the surgery without any kind of scars. The worst of them are hidden underneath her clothes, but you can still see quite a few of them on her leg and her face. I made sure to keep the scars away from her eyes, though, since you need to see what you're doing during surgery, so I was careful on where to put those scars on her face. And I don't think she has as many scars on her arms or hands as being a surgeon requires finesse and dexterity with your hands. But yeah, I think Kanata Inori should have scars, so I gave her scars.
And that's about it! Gee, I hope nothing bad happens to her! Hahaha...haha...ha...

please how do you pick colors 😭 I'm trying to learn how to color and I am obsessed with your comics (like your ivantill ones lol) and how do you pick such a cohesive color palette and choose where to put what????
Your art is amazing like actually :) happy holidays!!
😭 tysm anon and happy holidays to you!! i did my best to explain some of the process behind my color picking and choices for the ivantill comics under the cut, i hope its coherent cuz quite frankly it also takes me a long time to decide what colors to use
a little disclaimer: i tend to just put base colors, before i start adding shading or lighting. i also dont usually start off with a fixed color palette in mind, because my process is pretty much figuring out as i go along, and playing with all sorts of colors; however whenever i do end up with a fixed idea on the color palette the process is still applicable anyways so hopefully its helpful for u too :’]
ok so i usually decide colors by asking what kind of mood or tone im going for. for example, the recent ivti comic i did
the comic imo is pretty playful - theres a romantic element ofc but i think the focus is rly on how ivans being kulit / annoying as usual so i thought a spunky, albeit warm color would rly fit. theyre also chilling in tills house so i thought a home-y, comfy feeling would be good
i was still playing around, so for the first attempt at realizing that tone, i added a hot pink multiply layer to see how it looked

(first attempt vs final colors) (also im sorry for the low quality procreates timelapse is wack)
ironically enough it actually created a really cool looking color palette which was not what i was going for. so i kept testing colors for a bit; the shadow is hot pink, and i ended up going for a bit of a desaturated green as a base / overlay because it mellowed out the pinkness. i also put both the base and the shadow on a darken (50%) layer so that the og colors peek through a bit more compared to a multiply layer. in the end tho, i ditched pink and went for a saturated red
the green also makes for a nice complimentary color to the red, and it overall has that home-y, warm but playful feeling i wanted to include ⬇️

i added a highlight layer (color dodge, 82%) so that it pops a bit more, and also bc i knew i was gonna draw a big lamp on their right in the bg. speaking of the bg i made it a green/yellow hue so that the base for green on ivan n till make sense, and it ended up working for the best cuz the red acts as a nice contrast
(admittedly i think if the lighting of the room is green the shadow should also be green, but tbh i tend prioritize contrast as much as possible regardless cuz it looks nice 🤡 even if it fails to make sense realistically its for the vibes)
^ i ended up remedying this a little bit by adding bits of green to the shadows on ivan n tills hair and clothes, and also because its fairly complementary to the pink palette i have going in for the shadows and even the highlights (esp on ivan)
i also decided to shade in dark parts in the lineart so that it pops a little more

looking at the values also really help! esp in comics, where each panel can have its own lighting depending on what angle ure drawing. u can do this easily by adding a pure black layer above the entire piece, and setting it to color (100%)
for me the values actually made me realize things that may look too similar, which usually leads to me changing the color. for example, the couch and stuffed animals behind ivan and till were actually a lot darker before i changed it. bc it kinda blended into ivti a bit, it also got the eyes’ attention away from them. i ended up adjusting their hue and values so that it matches the bg, and ivan and till stick out more (alongside other color adjustments) ⬇️

changing the lineart also helps quite a bit! i made the lineart for ivan and till a little darker, while the bg elements got a darker green instead so that the bg elements dont take as much attention
looking at b&w values also helped me realize that the og pink i was using for the panels was a little too dark, so i made it significantly lighter so that the panels stick out more (esp bc they take huge precedence in the second page)

(og panel color vs final)
and finally when i pick all the colors and am satisfied with them, i merge everything into one final color layer for easier rendering :> procreate (and im sure other programs) allows for color / hue adjustments so you can def play around with those!
as for the harana / first ivantill comic i made, it had all the similar steps of the recent comic so ill just talk a little bit about the palette

so im ngl this comic was a bit of a struggle to color for me,, cuz i wanted it to be romantic but it was set at night. usually that dictates cooler tones and colors, but i was aiming for something warm. thats when i figured i could just let tills room wash an orange color, which would help with making warm lighting but also help till and ivan stick out again from the surrounding darkness / blues
i went with a purple base, cuz i thought it was a nice warm ish color at night and it makes blue and orange pop. i also figured that i could make the base both purple since the highlights are the most attention grabbing / contrasting colors
also used the moonlight as rim lighting so that ivan sticks out a little more,, i also figured that tills room would be projecting harsher lighting over the moonlight

lighting it this way also allows for nice color contrast regardless of what character is in the center: ivans outside but awashed in orange lighting (from tills room), and tills inside but hes sticking his head out a little so hes noticeably purple. it allows for characters to stand out while also being pleasing to the eye
and im ngl i cheated a bit again 😅 i think till shouldve projected a shadow on ivan a couple of times and the highlights might be too harsh but again i just prioritized making their facial expressions seen LOL
for this one i didnt use any layer modes aside from (if i remember correctly) a purple multiply layer and overlay for shadows and base respectively
and thats pretty much my process for figuring out the colors !!
TLDR; i look for the mood or tone im going for, try to make interesting contrasts / complimentary colors and i also double check if each character sticks out by checking values :> it really helps me too to play around a LOT, i think it takes me like an hour or just 30 mins to figure out what colors to use and also adjusting it significantly when i merge everything together
#asks#im sorry this is so long 🫡#hope i was able to help u anon#but ty for the ask it means a lot to me !!#esp cuz i also still struggle with colors

I have something for you guys ….
here are my redesigns of the four known 7 deadly sins from the hellaverse! I’ll go in order explaining.
Here’s Lucifer — the adjustments I made were primarily to his hair and smaller features, such as giving him goat eyes, a snake themed cane, and pulling more classical and biblical inspiration forward. I love a lot of the artistic liberties in the Hellaverse designs but I do think that him being a curly-redhead is a pretty important thing that I hated to see left out of his design. I also gave him hooves and claws because I felt like he was a bit too human compared to the other sins, and wanted to make him stand out a bit more!
Next is Asmodeus! My main focus was to make it more evident which sin he represented — while I love Ozzie’s design, I felt like his color palette could be slightly more representing of the sin of lust, so I shifted toward warmer toned colors such as red and purple, while sacrificing the green and blue. I wanted to bring across more gender-fluidity since lust is something I think it is important to represent through various gendered lenses and so I went for the whole upper-half masculine lower-half feminine thing that you see here with a vest+button up and a long slit skirt! I also wanted to show more heart motifs that appear to be evident in ironically all of lust and its inhabitants besides Ozzie most of the time, and so I curved his tail and head feathers in a way that made heart shapes, and I placed Bull and Ram in a way where they’re more visible and stand out more so as their own little entities since it’s implied they’re separately sentient.
My girl Beelzebub! I LOVE her design, but I do feel like it leans heavier toward hellhound (and fox somewhat) and not enough toward her insect features, so I gave her Bee stripes as well as putting more emphasis and effort into her wings. I kept the multicolored lava lamp hair and belly but made an extra effort to highlight the gold in it to emphasize the honey/bee theme, while also placing this texture in other places such as her paws and inner-ears. I also gave her a honeycomb crown, and more loose-fitting flowy clothing to display her fun and laid-back nature, while referencing her bee themes again by adding a yellow gradient meant to mimic pollen that gets stuck on bees during their pollination process. I also gave her the funky bug eyes :) anddd sorry but I took away the mohawk, it just felt too cluttered for me to draw among other things.

Here’s Mammon! I may be biased but I love his design so much already that it was difficult to change a whole lot. However, I did find things that I wanted to change. For one, you may notice there are hat and no-hat versions of Mammon here, and that’s because I wanted to display the broken imp-like horns I gave him. In biblical mythology, Mammon often disguised himself as someone who was poor or in need so that he would be able to garner profit from pity, and I think that there is no better way to represent that than ripping off his favorite little brand-baby. I edited a lot of the black in his color palette to be gold instead, as well as adding gold to the fingertips of his gloves as a reference to Midas’ touch. I gave him more of a spider-like appearance since according to a lot of the fandom his species is fairly ambiguous, and I made his shirt (or whatever you call that lol) a bit shorter and less cluttered because I often struggled with drawing it. I also attempted to adjust his proportions a bit as I feel like the designs for the fat characters in Helluva and Hazbin often struggle a bit with proportions and it feels important to me to better represent them.
That’s all I got, but I also created my own takes on the sins that haven’t been revealed yet, which may end up being one of my next posts! I’m doing my best to stay active in the art community and this media has given me some motivation and fuel. Any input is welcome as long as we stay positive ❤️
Reminder as well that my commissions are very open!

[ ITP: Happy Ending AU ]
The Encounter
• Author's note: After about a month of writing (with breaks and A LOT of procrastinating) the fic is finally done!! I believe this is now my longest fanfic so far :] which I'm pretty proud of! Anyway, for those who are new, this fic is for my Into The Pit AU, where basically Spring Bonnie (NOT WILLY AFTON) finally gets to be a dad like he wanted and everyone is alive and happy <3 (things are a bit more complicated than that but shh). But enough talk. Hope you enjoy!
Oswald decides to hang out with his new friend, but things go awry when an uninvited guest shows up to crash the party.
CW: descriptions of blood, dead bodies and implied gore and/or body horror.
Drip...Drip...Drip...
The last droplets of rain made their way onto the cold pavement as the weather finally seemed to settle. The afternoon sky was still cloudy, and the air was still chilly, but the smell of freshly poured autumn rain was very inviting.
Oswald made his way outside, careful not to step into any puddles— which were in abundance.
"I'll be back by five, I promise!" he announced, turning back towards the house.
On the other side of the door stood a lone, yellow bunny in a trench coat. Standing slightly stooped and with lowered ears, Spring Bonnie slowly nodded and waved goodbye to the boy.
He looked worried. Oswald took notice of this and gave the bunny a reassuring smile.
"Nothing ever happens in this town, anyway." he pointed out. "We'll be fine! You worry too much."
Hand on the door, Spring Bonnie watched as the boy ran across the concrete path, once again wary of the many puddles formed on the ground, until he disappeared around the corner.
"You worry too much." Oswald's words echoed through his mind. The boy was only going to meet up with a friend at the library. Why was he so worried?
He stood and thought. Gabrielle. That was her name. Oswald mentioned her before. Apparently, they didn't talk much, but they got along quite well.
He'd like to meet her someday.
-------------------------------------------------
After a bit of rummaging through the old library, the two children each managed to find a book to enjoy. They didn't want to stay inside and read them, though. Gabrielle mentioned that she usually likes to read outside. Oswald, too, admitted that he would prefer the fresh air rather than the musty, stifling smell of the old library. Eventually, they settled on going to the nearby park.
The cold weather didn't show any signs of changing, appropriate for the last remaining weeks of November. The sidewalk was decorated with a diverse color palette of fallen leaves. Unlike the puddles, Oswald sought to purposely step on those as he roamed the streets, only to be mildly disappointed that none of them were audibly crinkling under his feet. They were just wet. Despite that, he kept trying until they finally reached the park.
Oswald looked behind him. Gabrielle held her book open, already engrossed in whatever story she was reading.
"I'll go find a good spot for us to sit and read, okay?" he decided.
Without looking up from the book, she nodded in agreement.
The boy wandered around the park, his new friend following behind him at a slower pace, careful not to trip over something as she continued to read. All the benches were still wet from the rain, so he didn't have much of a choice. He picked one, deeper in the park, and started wiping it with a few napkins he had in his backpack. He took out his phone and checked the time. 2:37 PM. They still had plenty of time until five.
Waiting for his friend to catch up with him, he sat on the bench and placed his book aside. Adjusting his cap, he listened. Listened to the sound of the wind gently brushing against the treetops. The sound of the remaining leaves slowly falling onto the ground. The sound of rustling and... whirring?
A shriek escaped him as a pair of giant, animatronic arms suddenly wrapped around him and swiftly pulled him back. Not the ones he was familiar with, though. They weren't yellow or fuzzy. Realization quickly set in.
It wasn't Spring Bonnie.
Not very far behind, Gabrielle heard the commotion and immediately closed her book and ran towards where the noise was coming from.
"Oswald?!" she called out.
But instead of getting a response from the boy, a completely different voice rang out, accompanied by laughter. Stuttering, glitching, robotic laughter.
"Finally got you, little ocelot!"
Gabrielle froze in her tracks. The sight she was greeted by terrified her.
A tall, white, broken down animatronic bear held tightly onto Oswald with glowing, bright blue eyes and a deranged grin on his face. His right hand seemed to be missing, only wires sticking out from what remained of his arm. He didn't seem to notice her. She could only watch as the boy desperately squirmed around in the bear's grasp, but to no avail. It only served to make the bear laugh even more. He tried to cry out, but, once again, to no avail. The bear had already plastered his hand over the boy's mouth.
"You're not going anywhere! We're going to play a little game!" he proudly announced as he turned away, disappearing behind the numerous trees in the park.
-------------------------------------------------
Gabrielle shook her head and finally got herself to move again. Her eyes darted all over the place erratically, trying to figure out what to do. Soon enough, her gaze landed on something small on the ground.
Oswald's phone.
She immediately made a run for it and, with trembling hands, she picked it up. Opening the contacts list, she desperately began to search. His parents' phone numbers had to be in there somewhere. Thankfully, he didn't have that many contacts. Through shaky button presses, she managed to find the phone number of Oswald's dad. She quickly selected it and waited.
"Please...Please pick up..."
-------------------------------------------------
An eerie silence engulfed the house. Not a single movement could be heard. Spring Bonnie sat on the couch in the living room, lost in thought. He had just finished vacuuming all around the house as a way to distract himself from the feeling of uneasiness that refused to leave his body.
The distraction worked. At least, for a while. But now that he found himself having free time again, the feeling returned, even stronger than before.
"You worry too much." he remembered Oswald's words once more in an attempt to calm himself down. The children were fine, surely.
He reached for the remote. Maybe he could watch some TV to get his mind off of his worries, but his train of thought was soon interrupted. Before he got the chance to turn on the TV, his ears perked up at a distant sound that unexpectedly broke the silence. He recognized the sound. It was a song. An old, country song, accompanied by a quiet buzzing. It came from somewhere down the corridor.
Abandoning the remote, Spring Bonnie stood up and went to investigate, his heavy footsteps echoing through the hallway. The song was coming from one of the rooms, where a phone sat forlornly on one of the nightstands. The phone in question belonged to Oswald's father. His human one, that is.
"He forgot his phone..." he thought.
Leaning towards the device, he glanced at the screen and saw a name displayed. "Oswald". Oswald was calling.
He stood there for a moment, unsure if he should pick up or not. The phone wasn't his, after all, and he wouldn't be able to talk anyway. But he didn't want to just leave it like that either.
He might as well try.
He fumbled a bit while trying to answer, his big robot hands being a little too big for the small phone. But, eventually, he succeeded.
"H...Hello? Is this Oswald's dad?" the shaky voice of a child stammered through the phone's speaker. It wasn't Oswald. He didn't recognize the voice, either.
Spring Bonnie wished he could answer. But even if he could, the voice didn't wait for a response.
"Please, if anyone can hear me I...This is Gabrielle...I..."
The poor child sounded frightened, struggling to find the right words.
"It's Oswald...He was...Something took him away, I-I don't know what to do...Please...I'm at the park right now, they went...I-I know where they went...You need to come here...I'll call the police too...But please, hurry..."
Then she hung up, letting the silence take over once again.
The grip he had on the phone tightened as he felt himself start to tremble. Black liquid began dripping— no, pouring from every socket and joint in his body. The feeling of uneasiness quickly turned into terror. Overwhelmed by emotions, he found himself unable to move. His mind flooded with thoughts. Horrible thoughts. Horrible possibilities.
"Oswald..."
He had to leave immediately.
-------------------------------------------------
Oswald kicked and twisted in the bear's grasp. He was able to free one hand and began to push the robotic arm away. Or, at least, tried to. But, to no one's surprise, it didn't budge a single inch. The bear was far more powerful than him.
"Quite a squirmy one, aren't you?" the animatronic loudly inquired. Oswald flinched at the sound of his earsplitting voice. He wished he had both of his hands free so he could cover his ears.
"If only I was able to put you inside..." the bear continued, giggling to himself. "That would have made things a heck of a lot easier! But, sadly, that seat is already occupied!"
Oswald stopped wriggling and stared up at the bear with wide, dread-filled eyes. What did he mean by that...?
"W-who are you?" he somehow managed to stammer.
The bear turned his head towards the boy with a somewhat surprised expression.
"Well then! Since you were so nice to ask..." his voice glitched halfway through the sentence. "They used to call me Funtime Freddy!"
Oswald certainly didn't feel like he was having a fun time right now... but he dared to ask one more question.
"What are you going to do with me?"
Funtime Freddy chuckled.
"Only what we were created to do."
That response only served to make the boy even more confused.
Why was this happening? What did this animatronic even want with him? Hundreds of questions were swirling around in his mind. He wasn't even paying attention to where he was being taken anymore. He lost track of time and couldn't remember for how long they've been walking. He couldn't focus. He couldn't think. He was panicking.
Click.
The sound of a door handle. Oswald didn't even notice when they arrived in front of an old, abandoned building. Was it a warehouse? It didn't matter. By the time he managed to gather his thoughts again, they were already deep inside the facility.
-------------------------------------------------
Spring Bonnie ran and ran. Ran through bushes and twigs, across puddles and leaves, below branches and trees. He frantically wiped at the dark liquid that was pouring out of his eyes like a waterfall, hindering his vision.
Gabrielle said they went north. That was his only lead. He prayed and begged that that would be enough to find them.
"Please be alright...Please...Please..."
-------------------------------------------------
Carried through the dark, decrepit corridors, Oswald sat helplessly in the clutches of the animatronic bear. He looked around in hopes of finding...something. Anything he might use to help identify where he was. Anything he might recognize. Pointless, as it turned out. He's never seen this place before. The whole building looked like it was falling apart at the seams. There were a few windows, but they were so dusty and dirty that he could barely see anything through them. Just a few trees, brushing their leafless branches against the glass.
"Here we are!" the bear eagerly declared.
The room they entered was bigger than the rest, from what he'd seen. Yet, still just as decaying as all the others. Cobwebs hanging all around them, tangled wires on the floor... A few metal shelves decorated the walls, standing almost as tall as the ceiling. They were mostly empty, save for a few dusty looking machines and toolboxes that sat there, forgotten by time.
Using one of his legs, the bear kicked the door, effectively closing it.
"The acoustics are pretty great in here, huh?" Funtime Freddy said jokingly, listening to the echo of his own distorted voice.
Oswald wanted to say something in response, but before he even had time to attempt to open his mouth, he found himself slammed against the wall.
With Oswald held firmly in his grasp, Funtime Freddy brought the boy to his eye level.
"It's been a while since I got someone as lively as you to play with!" he admitted. "I'm going to enjoy every second of this."
As the bear stared directly into his eyes, Oswald tried his hardest to avoid eye contact. But he couldn't look away. He was stuck like a deer caught in headlights. The boy tried to close his eyes, but even so, he still felt the piercing gaze of the animatronic's glowing, blue eyes. Summoning all his willpower, he somehow managed to tear his eyes away from the bear's face for just a second. Time enough to catch a glimpse of something. He didn't notice it up until then, but there was something reddish trickling down from the bear's abdomen. Was that...?
Oswald didn't want to know.
"Now..." the bear continued. "Shall we—"
Funtime Freddy suddenly went uncharacteristically quiet. His ear twitched as he waited and listened. Oswald listened carefully too. They both just stood there, in complete silence, for a couple of seconds.
"Strange. I could have sworn I heard—"
He didn't even have time to finish that sentence as a tall, dark figure rose up from behind him and, with their arm raised up in the air, aimed and swung directly at the bear's head, successfully and violently knocking him to the side and making him lose the grip he had on the child. The boy dropped to the ground, landing on his rear end.
Funtime Freddy stumbled back as his head spun around a few times from the force of impact, only stopping when his head clicked into position, facing the opposite way from where it was supposed to.
Oswald shook his head and looked around. What just happened?
That question was very soon answered when he looked up, where a familiar looking figure stood right before him, with long ears pointed upwards.
"Springs!" the boy couldn't help but smile and sigh in relief, even if the bunny did not look down at him. He was focused on something else. Or rather, someone else.
Spring Bonnie glared at the bear, who still stood there, twitching and glitching, with his torso forwards and his head backwards. But before long, through a cacophony of whirrs, clatters and clicks, he promptly spun his head back into its original position, staring directly at the uninvited guest. His grin widened.
"How cute..." he teased.
The bunny stared back at him with pitch-black eye sockets and glowing, blue pupils, but instead of displaying his usual grin, his jaw slowly unhinged to reveal multiple rows of razor-sharp fangs. He stepped in front of Oswald, acting as a shield between him and the bear. The dark liquid was still abundantly leaking. Meanwhile, a faint, but distinct sound could be heard. It was emanating from the bunny. Was he...growling? Oswald didn't remember hearing him make that sort of noise before.
"You came to play with us too?"
Funtime Freddy stepped forward, confidently. Spring Bonnie stood his ground. The growling only intensified.
"Let's have fun, then."
Without any warning, the bear charged directly at the yellow bunny. In response, the bunny also launched himself at the bear, somehow unhinging his jaw even further. They both managed to get a hold of each other, pushing and clawing at their respective opponent in hopes of immobilizing them. Spring Bonnie leaned forward and attempted to take a bite out of the bear's face, but was unsuccessful, as Funtime Freddy kept his head at a safe distance from the bunny's snapping mouth.
The scuffle continued and showed no signs of stopping. Oswald could only watch as the events unfolded before his eyes. Two giant robots going at each other's throats. It looked like they both had an equal chance of taking the other one out. The boy couldn't help but think this all looked like some kind of scene from a sci-fi movie. He would think it was kind of cool if he wasn't currently scared out of his mind. He kept his eyes on Spring Bonnie, cheering for him in his head, but unable to actually get a single word out. He watched in awe as the bunny somehow managed to get the upper hand, grasping the bear with all his strength and slowly pushing him back, step by step. That's when Oswald noticed something on the floor.
The wires. The many, tangled wires that slithered along the floor. A few of them even extended from where he was sitting, all the way to the opposite side of the room, going straight through the wall. He got an idea. He wasn't sure if it would work, but he had to at least try. He quickly got up to his feet, grabbed a few of them and, gathering all the strength in his body, he pulled. The wires straightened out, hovering over the ground. Just enough for the bear to step right into them.
Funtime Freddy inevitably lost his balance, causing him to fall on his back, violently clanging against the floor.
Before he even had the chance to process what happened, he felt his whole face being grabbed, yellow fingers making their way right into his eye sockets and keeping him in place. Spring Bonnie snarled as he loomed over the bear, tightening his grip while dark, viscous matter started dripping all over his hand and trickling down onto the bear's faceplates. Funtime Freddy attempted to lift his hand to push him back, but the bunny was quick to lift the bear's head off of the ground, before slamming him right back down against the cold, hard floor with all his might. He did so again, and again, and again, the thunderous sound of heavy metal clashing against concrete filling the room.
The bunny had no intention of stopping, but the bear has had enough. Between crashes, Funtime Freddy extended his arm and managed to grab the bunny by the neck— something that caught him completely off guard as he became way too focused on crushing the bear's head— throwing him to the side.
The two animatronics quickly got back up to their feet at the same time, both shaking and twitching. But there was something different about the bear. For a moment, his grin faded away and got replaced with a frown. His usual demeanor was a little different, too. He seemed mad.
A deafening screech emerged from the bear and reverberated through the room as his faceplates sprung wide open, revealing his rusty endoskeleton. When he closed them back up, one by one, his face was back to his regular, deranged expression. With his broken down arm swinging, he launched himself at the yellow bunny once more and aimed to strike him. Spring Bonnie was able to stop Freddy's attack with his own hand, grabbing onto the bear's handless arm before it could reach his face.
But that's when the bear stopped. His grin widened even more and he just stared him in the eyes.
Something wasn't right.
Click.
Spring Bonnie felt some kind of metallic object emerge from the bear's broken arm, poking him directly in the palm. He barely had a split second to think before sparks began to fly.
Oswald covered his ears at the sound of Spring Bonnie's earsplitting screech. A screech unlike anything he had ever heard before. He couldn't describe it. He's never heard Spring Bonnie make that sort of sound before, either.
The yellow bunny was writhing and shaking uncontrollably as electricity flowed through his entire body. By the time it stopped, he was unable to do anything. He could barely move. Weakened, he stumbled back and fell to his knees. To end things off, the bear kicked him down and watched as he twitched helplessly on the floor. Despite his pain, he only had one thing on his mind. "Oswald..." He had to get back up. He had to protect his son. He had to...
After glaring at the bunny for a few more moments, Funtime Freddy giggled and turned away, towards the boy.
Or, at least, where the boy was supposed to be. The grin on the bear's face started to disappear ever so slightly.
Where was he?
He stopped and scanned the room from top to bottom. Oswald was nowhere to be seen. He did notice, however, the entrance to the room. The door was wide open.
Funtime Freddy wasted no time and immediately went for the door, leaving behind the twitching bunny.
With shaky hands, Spring Bonnie struggled to roll over and tried to get up, just in time to watch the bear leave the room and slam the door behind him.
Clumsily getting up and trying his best to remain stable on his jittery feet, he rushed to the door and desperately rattled the handle.
It was locked. Either that or something was blocking it from the other side.
Panicking, he kept pushing and pulling at the door. He banged his fists on it, he kicked it, he slammed his whole body into it, but it did nothing.
The bunny turned around and frantically searched the room. There had to be another way out. And as his eyes darted around, he finally set his sight on a possible exit.
The window.
-------------------------------------------------
Oswald sprinted as fast as his legs could carry him.
"Exit...Exit...Where's the exit?!"
As he dashed through the dilapidated maze of hallways and corridors, he felt like every turn he took was useless. Everything looked the same. He could have sworn it wasn't like that before. Did the building somehow grow bigger? It didn't look that big from the outside. As he ran, he found numerous doors, but none leading to the outside. Some were locked. Some opened, only to reveal even more forgotten rooms with no escape.
Being faced with dead end after dead end, Oswald eventually stopped in the middle of the hallway he was currently traversing. He felt his vision start to blur as a feeling of dread began to creep its way throughout his body. He couldn't find the exit. He didn't even know where he was anymore. The building felt so massive, yet he felt so claustrophobic in these narrow, endless corridors.
But he didn't have time to ponder. A sudden noise made him snap out of his trance.
A voice. A distant, stuttering voice, calling his name. He knew this voice all too well by now. The voice grew nearer, now accompanied by heavy, metallic footsteps, rapidly approaching.
Oswald spun around, searching for a place to hide.
A small table stood behind him with its damp, moth-eaten tablecloth still mostly intact on top of it. Next to it, a single chair stood collecting dust, untouched for decades. Probably a small resting area for the people who used to work in this place, he guessed.
No time to waste.
-------------------------------------------------
Funtime Freddy turned the corner and glared down the hallway. Still no child in sight.
"Up for a game of hide and seek?" his voice box glitched again. "Oh, how fun!"
The white bear slowed down his pace, now scanning the corridor. His head whirred and clicked loudly as it turned around persistently.
"I have to warn you, though!" he continued in a strangely playful tone. "Whenever I'm seeker, I always win!"
Oswald sat trembling under the table, holding his breath when he heard the animatronic's footsteps approaching. He held both of his hands pressed against his mouth, trying to stop himself from making any noise. He barely managed to stifle a scream when he felt something crawling across his face. The underside of the table was filled with cobwebs, as expected. So spiders had to be present too, much to Oswald's despair. He shut his eyes tightly as he waited for the footsteps to fade down the corridor. He felt the floor beneath him vibrate as the animatronic passed by the table. If he opened his eyes, he would have definitely seen him stomping by through the holes in the tablecloth. He started to feel lightheaded, he lost track of how long he's been doing this. Just a little longer...
...
He couldn't hear any footsteps anymore.
Oswald finally let himself breathe again. He took a deep breath, but instead of air, it felt like only dust and spiderweb made their way down his throat. He tried his best not to cough too loudly.
But it seemed like his efforts were in vain.
Mere moments after that, mechanical whirrs rang out nearby and, shortly after, the table got lifted into the air. Not only that, but it was also effortlessly flipped over, revealing the one responsible for it.
"Found you!"
Funtime Freddy towered over the boy, grinning as ominously as ever.
Oswald stumbled to get back on his feet, just in time to avoid the metallic arm that plunged after him. He slithered his way right between the bear's legs and bolted through the hall in whatever direction he saw first. There was no time to think. And it's not like he knew where he was going, anyway. He just needed to get as far away from the bear as possible.
"Slippery little brat." the bear sounded slightly annoyed, but it didn't seem to bother him too much, as he was still grinning widely. "You'd rather play catch instead? Fine by me!"
Oswald heard the animatronic stomping behind him at an alarmingly fast pace. He didn't think that he was able to run this fast, especially after the tussle with the bunny.
As he felt the bear catching up with him, he spotted another door. It was already half open. He couldn't remember if it was him who opened it earlier in search of the exit or if it was always like that. It didn't matter. He got in and immediately searched the door for a way to lock it. It had a latch, thankfully, albeit a pretty flimsy one, but it was better than nothing. He reached for it and promptly locked the door.
The boy backed away slowly. He knew the latch wouldn't hold out for a long time, so he had to think of what to do next and fast. When he took one more step behind, he bumped into something. He couldn't help but shriek when he felt himself being grabbed by the shoulder. He spun around and yanked himself from the grasp of whatever just touched him.
But the fear soon vanished once he spotted who was actually behind him.
A familiar yellow bunny in a brown trench coat stood there, kneeled down, with his hands held out in front of him as if to gesture that he didn't mean to frighten the boy. He looked down at the child with lowered ears and unblinking eyes, yet there seemed to be a certain gentleness behind that gaze. Oswald never thought he'd feel so happy to see another animatronic in his life. Without a second thought, he wrapped his arms around the bunny and held him tight, burying his face in his coat. Not long after, he felt the arms of the animatronic slowly wrap around him, returning the hug.
Bang.
It seemed like the moment of tenderness had to wait until later.
Funtime Freddy began to bang on the door, each knock rattling the latch and loosening it. It looked like it was about to fall off.
Spring Bonnie rushed to the door in an attempt to keep it shut with his own body, but right as he got to it, one final knock sent the latch flying across the room. A white, handless arm slithered its way into the room. He recognized the limb. The exact same one that shocked him not too long ago.
The yellow bunny held the door against the flailing arm, not letting the rest of the bear get in. He tried to shut the door, but he knew that it would be impossible with the arm in the way. He slammed his whole body into the door, hoping it would do something.
Crack.
"...?"
The noise was coming from the metal arm.
He slammed himself into the door again.
Crack.
This was it.
Spring Bonnie continued to slam against the door, each hit causing the arm to make more cracking noises. He kept doing it until...
Clang.
The entire arm detached from the bear, crashing onto the floor and rolling away. He was finally able to shut the door all the way.
The disembodied arm rolled towards Oswald, who stepped away from it. He saw what that arm could do. He wasn't going to get anywhere near it.
As he stepped back he felt something on the floor. It made a small splashing sound. He looked behind him.
At the back of the room, there was a rather large puddle of water. Most likely rainwater that seeped its way through the decrepit ceiling over the years. It was quite deep.
He glanced down at it, then back at the arm standing in front of him. Then he looked back up at Spring Bonnie, who stood with his back against the door, trying his hardest to keep it shut as the bear continued to bang on it from the outside. The missing arm didn't seem to stop him.
The bunny also noticed the arm, as well as the puddle behind Oswald.
The gears were turning in their minds— perhaps quite literally in Spring Bonnie's case— as they both seemed to envision the exact same plan.
-------------------------------------------------
Funtime Freddy was starting to lose his patience and began slamming into the door with all his force.
To his surprise, it finally opened, revealing the boy standing alone in the middle of the room.
Using his leg, he shut the door behind him, maintaining eye contact with his target the whole time.
"Nowhere to run now, little ocelot!"
Oswald stared back at the bear with wide eyes, but he didn't move from his spot. He felt his heartbeat start to accelerate again.
The bear launched himself at the boy— hand extended and ready to grab— but the boy was quick to sidestep out of the way. Before he even had time to make his next move, the bear felt himself being pushed from behind by a force as equal as his, causing him to fall face-first into the puddle of water. For a split second, he noticed something else standing in the water right beside him: his own detached arm. In the next split second, it was already too late.
Spring Bonnie and Oswald watched as Funtime Freddy started twitching and writhing in the electrified water while sparks began to fly once again. To their dismay, the bear attempted to get back up, despite his pain.
The bunny quickly picked Oswald up and got out of the room, keeping the door shut. They could still hear the agonized screech of the animatronic bear behind the door, but only for a few more moments, followed by the sound of something powering down and crashing against the floor.
Spring Bonnie carefully placed his son down as far away from the room as possible. Then he slowly opened the door and peeked inside.
The bear was collapsed on the ground near the door, showing no more signs of movement.
-------------------------------------------------
An uncomfortable silence took over the entire building.
They both stared down at the motionless animatronic, still processing everything that happened.
"Is it over..?"
Spring Bonnie turned around to look at his son. He wasn't sure how to answer. He had a feeling this was far from over. They might have been able to decommission the bear, if only for a while, but surely that wasn't the end of it.
"Can't we...I don't know..." the boy continued. "Turn him off somehow? For good?"
He hoped that an animatronic would have more knowledge about this than him. There had to be a way to deactivate Funtime Freddy permanently, right?
From the look of the bunny, he wasn't quite sure himself. But they might as well try.
Spring Bonnie dragged the unmoving body of the bear out of the room and propped him up against the wall.
The two pairs of eyes scanned over the robot from top to bottom, wondering what to do. As they searched, Spring Bonnie's eyes landed on something that stuck out.
The bear's abdomen. It looked like it was some sort of door. He didn't notice it before since it was closed tight. But now it was ever so slightly open. It looked stuck, but it was sticking outward just a little bit. It must have come loose after all that happened.
Spring Bonnie kneeled down in front of the bear and grabbed the metallic door, attempting to open it. He struggled a bit but, at last, it swung open.
A foul, putrid odor quickly overtook the damp smell of the room and the silence was finally broken by Oswald's horrified scream.
Spring Bonnie also froze at the sight of what he just found.
A young girl sat crammed inside the bear's chest cavity, motionless. But she looked...wrong.
Her clothes were covered from head to toe in what they could only assume was dried blood. The same could also be said about the inside of the cavity. The walls were smeared with a similar color.
Her body was contorted in ways that shouldn't be possible, her skin rotting and decaying.
But most of all, her head...Her head wasn't where it was supposed to be...
Oswald turned away and gagged.
How long has she been in there...?
-------------------------------------------------
Red and blue lights danced between the branches of the trees.
The yellow bunny and the boy waited patiently outside the building. Many voices were coming from inside, but they couldn't make out what they were saying. They guessed it was probably about the dead body they found. Or about the freaky animatronic bear that housed the corpse.
Oswald was crouched next to Spring Bonnie, using a stick to draw in the mud. He wasn't drawing anything specific, he was just mindlessly dragging the twig through the mud and making lines, most likely attempting to distract himself from thinking about what just happened. Still, the bunny watched him intently and curiously, tilting his head to the side.
"Oswald!"
The bunny's ears twitched. The voice of a woman called out from the distance. Oswald looked up, instantly recognizing it.
Two figures were fast approaching. A woman with blonde hair, followed by a scruffy looking man.
"Mom! Dad!"
Oswald eagerly sprinted towards the two and greeted them with a hug. The woman kneeled down and quickly wrapped her arms around the boy, refusing to let go for the next couple of minutes. The man joined in from behind.
"We heard what happened, I..." she attempted to speak but began to stammer.
"We came as fast as we could." the man continued in her stead.
"Thank God you're okay..." she managed to get her voice to work again, squeezing the boy tighter. She sounded like she was holding back tears.
"Thank him." Oswald whispered.
The woman finally let go to look at where the boy was pointing.
Unsurprisingly, the tall, yellow bunny was not far behind him. He slowly waved at them.
"He protected me."
The woman glanced at her husband, who shrugged and smiled at her, then looked back at the bunny. She also gave him a gentle smile.
"Thank you."
-------------------------------------------------
Yellow police tape surrounded the area.
Even hours later, people in uniforms were still inside the building, gathered around the white animatronic that was sitting slumped against the wall. The inside of his storage tank was now empty.
"So what the hell even is that thing?" one of the men dared to ask, glaring at the bear.
"Hell if I know." another one answered.
Neither of them knew what he was or where he came from. But it didn't matter, they thought. What mattered was what they found inside of him.
"We've identified the victim, sir." a woman in uniform stepped in and joined the conversation. She carried a few documents in her hand. "Millicent Fitzsimmons, 14 years old. She went missing almost a year ago."
She held out a picture of a young girl with dyed, black hair. Her brown roots were beginning to show. She was wearing a purple hoodie with black sleeves.
"Poor thing. So young, too..."
While they were examining the picture, a small noise was heard nearby. The woman looked around, trying to identify where it came from. Her eyes widened.
"Did it...always look like that?"
The two men looked to where she was pointing.
The bear's eyes stared directly at them.

Investing in T-shirts! The biggest beneficiaries of Gear Adjustments!

For fashion aficionados like myself, Gear Adjustment is the most exciting part of the upcoming Season. Being able to make small changes to the way your gear is worn is something that opens up a ton of customization while requiring less new stuff (though I'm sure it required a lot of work to add). With that said, for the moment, it is looking like they are limiting the feature to caps and t-shirts. I don't personally think caps are changed very much by the ability to flip them, they're all pretty good as they are, after all. But for t-shirts, being able to oversize them is actually really big. Pun unintended.
T-shirts have the tendency to be modeled in a way that makes them cling really tightly to your character's body, and it is has never looked right to me. Looking at the clothing choices I see in my multiplayer games, I get the impression that is the general sentiment, as well. Oversizing shirts solves their central problem, loosening them up and giving you a less constrained silhouette. In this post, I wanna highlight what I think are the biggest winners of this change are. Shirts I think you should pay attention to once the patch hits.
That said, I should highlight that since we don't have the patch yet I am only assuming these will be Adjustable. We cannot know for sure until the we get the update.
I've picked out ten T-shirts I think are the standouts, split into a couple of different categories, starting with the ones I think you all expected to see here:
Annaki Accessories!
I have to imagine that the Annaki Bracelet Tee and Annaki Choker Tee were some of the first shirts that came to mind when you think of noteworthy T-shirts in this game. They've got nice, dusty colors, the big Annaki A in slick silver, and of course their signature accessories. Oversizing these I think will amplify their punk aesthetic even more, because there's nothing punk about tight-fitting clothing.
Unless it's leather.
And leather these are not.
High-fives for Tie-Dyes!
Tie-Dyes are really fun with their bright, trippy patterns, so it's no surprise that the Takoroka Rainbow Tie Dye and the Takoroka Galactic Tie Dye are some of the better T-shirts in the game. We did see the Rainbow Tie Dye get Adjusted in the reveal trailer, and is it just me or does that just seem right for these kinds of shirts? Something about them screams "wear me at one size larger."
Ride the Wave!
Next up, we've got the Firewave Tee, Icewave Tee, and the Vaporwave Tee. There is also a Duskwave Tee, but I am personally not a big fan of the shade of orange they use for the bottom half of that shirt. That said, I think the gradient on these shirts them really make them stand out from the rest, and their color palettes are just very nice and evocative.
Assorted Graphic Tees!
These three don't have a common throughline aside from all being graphic tees, but I think they all have something to recommend them by. The Eelzebub Tee has a really gnarly, radiation-green design that is just really cool, giving an outfit something really eye-catching while still staying nice and simple.
The Green Tee is interesting because its big bold graphic lettering actually extend across the side and even a bit onto the back of your character, which gives it a really unique look I don't think any other clothes can replicate.
Finally, I just think the Mint Tee looks nice. Its color is pretty unique amongst shirts, and the white print design is decorative without being overbearing.
And these were my picks for the T-shirts to keep in mind come Drizzle Season 2023. Were there any others you feel I missed? If so, please tell me in the notes!

if someone wanted to start coining their own xenogenders and post it on social media what apps/techniques would you recommend? Would you have any advice?
You are my whole inspiration and I love your Tumblr blog!
For apps: I only really have experience with Tumblr, but I also think that it's one of the best places out there. Better organisation, more freedom with post formats, and a pretty built up archival community. I've also seen coiners on DeviantArt and a few other places, but I can't really say much about them.
My advice:
Just go for it. My first few flags (imo) sucked! But I made them, and then I had experience, and I got better over time.
Do what you enjoy. Want to coin 200 terms under the same umbrella? Do it! Want to coin a hyperspecific label once a month? Enjoy!
Think ahead. Making a lot of a flag with a similar design? Have a high res template. Have a super long and complex post formatting that you don't really enjoy? You can just stop (if you want)!
As for techniques: I'm going to direct you to a few flag making tips/methods and other resources, and then explain my own method.
Disclaimer: the way I make flags is probably not ideal.
I use Ibispaint X on my phone. For flags with even stripes, I use my own flag templates (as Ibispaint is not a very precise program and cannot really do "evenness"). This allows me to keep a standard resolution and clean stripes, using the fill tool (with no expansion!!).
For flags with uneven or complex designs, I either use an existing template or the symmetry + ruler tools! As for symbols, I normally align by eye using the symmetry tools again (bad practice but. hey whatya gonna do). Most of my symbols are hand drawn, a few are clipart (credited).
I normally do a quick flag draft with default palette colors, then when I think it has a good order/vibes I will adjust the colors. Almost all of my flags have rough stripe meanings, I just don't post them. I may start with a list of meanings and then translate to colors, or just go at it with vibes. It's very difficult to explain how to select and pair the "right" colors. You just need to practice a lot, honestly. Here are some tips that I can easily explain:
Avoid pure white, pure black and most 100% brightness/saturation colors
If you are going to put a gradient in a flag, it needs to be intentional. Flags with mostly or only gradients can absolutely work, but you need a clear vision or it will not be visually distinct (or that can be what you're going for!)
Join some kind of space for advice (optional). I'm in the MOGAI Multiverse discord + another queer server that I both use for flag feedback.
Stuck? Mess around with filters. Colorpick from images. Look up [x] palette. Look at flags for similar identities. Nothing wrong with inspiration, just remember to credit where appropriate.
Still stuck? Go to sleep! Okay, maybe this one's just me but I can often forget how colors work and need a break to recharge.
Here is a quick guide to flag image IDs. As for post formatting, just keep it accessible and have fun! If you want to do a full custom blog/post theme with banners and so on, you can, but you don't have to!
Okay, this post is getting pretty long. If you have any specific issues, send in another ask. also, aaaa thank you!! i'm so flattered that i'm inspiring others and that people actually. perceive what i make. i appreciate nice asks like this so much /gen
