i think after you fall asleep in satoru’s arms at nights he stays awake for a while, just to hold you consciously and watch you sleep, brush the hair off your face and softly kiss you on the forehead, whisper a very quiet “thank you for loving me” while he looks at you, eyes welled up. he’s so happy, he’s never imagined anyone would ever want a future with him. but here you are, proving him wrong — giving him your bed, your warmth, your heart, your all 🤍

Gonna rant a bit. I saw one set of beautiful anthro arts on another website. Sadly they were done in AI. I did left a comment, complimenting how beautiful these arts were but how sad it made me that they were AI arts.
The artist themselves was kind and polite, telling they use AI because they want to learn and be able to make game arts one day (but they too, apparently, with AI so...)
But then there was another user, AI "artist" too who replied to me that there's absolutely NO ARTIST who can draw anthros with detailed fur, goat like arm, lights, colors etc without editing or photoshopping. On the whole planet, absolutely none! This person clearly don't believe in people's skills when it comes on arts. Heck, I followed one artist on DA who drew ALL her arts traditionally and she drew, and still does, SUPER DETAILED FURRY ANTHROS! No photoshop, editing, nothing digital. Just her hands, paper and a set of color pencils.
Also, if people's art skills wouldn't had been amazing back in the days through mankind, we wouldn't have cave paintings, old amazing paintings or sculptures, ALL DONE BY HANDS IN TRADITIONAL WAY. NO AI, NO PHOTOSHOP OR EDITING.
Humans can learn amazing skills if they only want to. AI artists, maybe not all, just wants to take the easiest way / be lazy (and get lots of likes - like that other person who straight forward said it. That he uses AI to create furry arts to get hundreds of likes).
They also mocked my style / arts, saying they are not good enough to be used in AI arts - yet.
Like what the actual fuck?! I am pissed! I don't even want my arts to be used in AI arts by some lazy idiot (or at all). At least I draw EVERYTHING in my arts, from first sketch line to the last shade / light. Surely my skills are not as good as they could be. After all I'm self-taught, not gone in art school like some have. Not to mention I draw for fun, I draw to bring joy to my watchers, I draw therapy arts to myself, I like to keep my style easy and simple. My arts are a hobby, not professional thing or to fish a lot of likes. If my arts can make someone's day a bit better, then I've done my job! I never haven't taken my arts or skills too seriously, trying to improve them to the top.
Is there times when I wish I would put more effort to my arts, learn and study more, becoming better? Absolutely! But do I bother? Not really. Like I said, this is a hobby. I know I would burnout myself if I would start to force and pressure myself to do better, to learn more, to improve my skills. I mean I struggle to draw even now!
I do have some saved tutorials on Pinterest what I would like to try, yes, but still not in a way like if I would have a fire under my ass.

The absolute unbridled rage I feel whenever I see a fic with the tags “written by ai” is unmatched to any sort of fury ever felt by mankind. The fucking AUDACITY. They are the wretched plague that has been endangering fanfic authors and yet they believe that their filth has any right to be on the website. I genuinely have so much hatred for those people and I only hope that one day they look in the mirror and realize that the humanity they have tried to recreate has been ripped from their soul and replaced with the shallow husk of creativity

Based on the recent staff post i sent the below concerns to staff in the feedback form.
1.) does opting OUT of third party sharing protect content that is reblogged by blogs that are opted IN? Will content from opted OUT blogs on opted IN blogs be scrape-able?
2.) The staff post says "We already discourage AI crawlers from gathering content from Tumblr and will continue to do so, save for those with which we partner." Does this mean that opting OUT of third party sharing does not apply to companies tumblr has partnered with? Or does the opting OUT toggle mean that opted OUT blogs are protected from third party sharing even if that third party is partnered with tumblr?
3.) Can tumblr please address the rumor that data has already been scraped from tumblr and given to an AI tool?
4.) Will the opting OUT of third party sharing toggle have to be re-toggled to maintain opting OUT like the tumblr live toggle?
These are questions that to me must be without a doubt answered and even then tumblr does not have my trust to implement it well and keep my opted out content out of data sets.

I just think that if your work is getting scraped, you should be paid. Not the host website. The actual creator of the work.
If you cover a song and you try to sell that cover, you still have to pay the original songwriter their mechanical royalty. Sure, the publisher will take a cut for doing the administrative work but the writer still gets theirs too.
You can't have it both ways. It can't be art on one side of the transaction and then not be art on the other. You don't get to only use copyright law as protection to benefit corporations, and then turn around and demand it not benefit the artists making the works.
And honestly? Do you really think the AI bubble could withstand needing to actually compensate the artists that've been ripped off and rehashed? I don't.

honestly feel so gross knowing that in the future i may innocently get excited for a game, install its demo, share my ocs and feelings and all that energy and passion i’ve got for it … just to find out it’s got generative ai in it or was made with it. god forbidden it’s hidden until people have to pay for it to find out it’s there

Ever think about Date’s view on family and how that relates to his character? When Mizuki asks him to define family, he just awkwardly offers that its like being blood related to someone. It leaves a bitter taste in his mouth and Mizukis, but like, he literally had no idea what a real family looks like. He’s an orphan, a man who grew up with no family and no name, but he doesn’t know that yet. He has no memory of his past, no way of knowing if there’s someone out there waiting for him to come home, if he even had a place to call home. His only frame of reference for a family is Mizuki and her parents. Deep down he knows it’s not right, not loving, but it fits the mold of a nuclear family, man and woman, blood related, so that must be what family is. When he’s asked to take in Mizuki, he’s absolutely clueless because he literally has zero frame of reference for how a child is supposed to be cared for. He puts distance between them because this isn’t his place, he doesn’t have the right to love this child as his own because he isn’t the real dad. There’s no place for someone like him in a family. And it’s baffling to him to hear that Mizuki not only loves him, she needs him because he is her family. Date believes he’s a nobody, just a sad, lonely man with no name who absolutely does not deserve this kind of love. But he has it anyway because he chooses it, he makes something that neither he nor Mizuki have ever had before. HES HOME

FTR I fully understand and support people locking down their fics on AO3 due to new rounds of AI scraping, but if anyone likes to revisit my stuff without an account, you can do so, as I frankly can't be arsed to give a shit if an AI scrapes my fic.
Like, I don't want them to do it, but by the time I've heard about it, they've probably already scraped me, so w/e.
Read my shit freely, friends. I wish I had new content for y'all but alas, everything is half-finished at best in my WIPs folder.
