It got here just in time too since I'm heading on vacation next week and my doodle/sketch/notes book has been running out of pages. I always prefer notebooks with thick covers, spirals, and blank pages (as in no lines and stuff) but those have gotten harder to find in irl shops recently for some reason. So this is perfect!

I don't look for season 5 criticism (cause I get sad when I see it and take it too personal) (that sounds bad, I'm purposely looking at your liveblog knowing it will have criticism, I dont feel bad here cause I'm ready). But of the negativity I've seen, which again I don't look for, no one has ever mentioned sound design as an issue. Sandy sounded like sandy, macaque like macaque. Not saying it's just you, but it is the first time I've seen that criticism

Ayo that's fair! I get what ya sayin o7 ngl I don't really go lookin for critical stuff either, and i do try my best not to focus too much on my own negativity cause i don't like being super negative it is stresssFUL (though there is definitely gonna be salt in my reaction posts sadly cause i'm still processing and mourning the loss of FB :') ) but you definitely end up seeing it around regardless of whether you look for it or not. It does tend help when people preface it with "hey guys i'ma be a little negative here." seeing it out of nowhere can really feel like a slap to the face. (i'm glad my posts are manageable for you) ur doing great dude <3

Honestly I think it might just be a me thing. I was informed the sound mixing studios changed so I'm currently crediting the off-sounds to that. But i spend like a lot of time listening to the sound effects in monkie kid while I make my amvs since i don't just mute the sound. I use the impacts and sound effects as part of the beat of the songs for most of my amvs. I even end up timing the rhythm of the voices to match the music cause I can hear when it clashes or when its off. I've spent hours and hours and hours and hours listening to voice clips and getting familiar with tone and beat and delivery and cadence of the voice actors so when things sound even a little off, I think for me it sounds REALLY off, even if its not noticeable for other people.

So it’s PuzzleJune, and 2023??? Time sure does fly! I don’t write for puzzleship anymore, but I did for FIVE YEARS, and altho I can’t offer new content, I can bring back my huuuuges fic recs of both my own writing, and all the fics I read over those years (warning for a LOT to sort thru!). my grandparents watch a lot of TV in the living room and as such every now and again i see a bit of a show or commercial they're watching, and as such i just saw a political ad scaremongering about illegal immigrants that a state representative wants to keep out and it's like... bro, we live in fucking ohio. i live a 10 minute walk from lake erie. the only way we could be further from mexico while remaining in the US is if we went to alaska or fucking hawaii. the only time i ever see any hispanic people whatsoever is when my family takes me to a mexican restaurant. i genuinely cannot remember the last time i've seen a hispanic person in my area aside from those restaurants. it's like if you tried to get elected in florida by campaigning against snow
