I think maybe my favorite thing about Doctor Slump is how the characters will sometimes react in a way you don't entirely understand and then later the show takes care to establish specific moments, hurts and situations that explain exactly why the character struggles with this pattern of behavior or this fear etc.
It's shows how intimately the writers understand these characters and it's why the mains feel so fleshed out and alive

it's nice when the guys at fencing tell me im good especially when im on their team
not because i crave male attention (i'd rather not 😃) but because most of them 1) underestimate me or 2) refuse to admit im good since im a girl

THE LATEST EPISODE OF HELLUVA BOSS IS OFFICIALLY MY FAVORITE
I fucking love how everyone was right about Ozzie and Fizz being one of the healthiest couples besides Moxxie and Millie and how they had their own little issues about their relationship
Also loved how Blitzø and Fizz made up in the end. It’s awesome how we got to see both sides of the story and the whole thing with Fizz’s limbs was just a misunderstanding
Best episode so far

🍁There’s a quiet strength in just existing. It’s easy to overlook, especially when everything feels awful, but simply getting through each day is a huge accomplishment. You might not always see it, but just by being here, you’re adding something uniquely important to the world. It’s not about doing something extraordinary or being the best; it’s about continuing on, even when things are tough. Your presence matters, and it has a positive impact in ways you might not notice, but others do. Give yourself credit for the small victories, the moments when you keep going despite it all. Those moments show just how strong you are, even if it doesn’t feel that way. Hang on to that thought, because it’s a truth worth holding onto as you face whatever comes your way.🍁
when you receive an anon ask and it's just. so sweet

The cast & crew talking about Rayla compilation (as a treat)
Usually, you don’t do the greater whole any good by completely sacrificing yourself, and I do think that is often the lengths, like you said, a lot of the Moonshadow elf culture norms and mantras go to eventually is ‘You have to be willing to completely forget who you are.’
And it’s sort of like, [Callum is] a little bit exempt from her entire philosophy, because her philosophy in some ways exists to protect him.
Because she, herself, believes ‘I must continue to sacrifice, I must go off on my own to try and fight Viren, I must do all these things, but Callum, you don’t have to.’
Like the whole reason she left between seasons was to quote, ‘keep him safe,’ but she really only ended up hurting him and herself by doing so.
Because I think sacrifice is a deep core part of Rayla’s entire character [...] You see her through seasons one through three like — just seems like any opportunity, she’ll be the one to make the big sacrifice. She’ll go out there to try and save the dragon, she’ll go and try and fight Viren and his army alone to protect everyone and so on. So the fact that once again she defaults to ‘I have to give up something painful to myself.’
Whereas like you said, I think Rayla can sometimes simplify to “hurting myself is clearly a Good that will help this other person, because I will take that hurt off of them in some way,”.
Maybe in future seasons she’ll truly learn to depend on others and stop punishing herself all the time.
