#like there are SOO many songs with lyrics that make no sense

i always think it’s so embarrassing when people admit they refuse to listen to music in languages other than their native tongue like... i’m sorry is your language the only one that sounds good?? no. sometimes, your native language actually sounds WORSE when it comes to translated versions of songs, like most songs sound best in their original form.

“well i wanna understand what people are saying” okay well a. that’s what google translate is for b. sooo many songs are full of just filler sounds that mean nothing (ex. ‘la la la’) and yet you’re fine ‘not understanding’ that and just grooving to the sound/emotion it evokes and c. i need you to supply me with a five page song proving you understand the lyrical meaning of every song you have ever listened to and prove you have never struggled to understand what someone has (not) enunciated.

like... i do not believe people complaining about “not understanding” foreign songs actually understand all of the songs they listen to in their native language, both symbolically (as in understanding what the songs are meant to mean) and also quite literally (as in understanding what the singer is actually saying out loud). like i am a native english speaker and i will tell you a solid... 50% of english songs, by other native english speakers, mean... fuck all to me, even when i pay attention. and sometimes i end up understanding songs in other languages better than i understand english songs BECAUSE i have had to look up the lyrics and different translations.

i do not understand choosing to shut out most of the music that world has to offer, as if so much of it doesn’t transcend the lyrics itself. i have wept to songs i couldn’t even understand (and wept harder when looking up the lyrics). i have gone to concerts in languages i cannot speak and felt alive when the bass beat through the speakers and through my body. i have watched music videos and understood what hte song meant before i could even google the lyrics.

but like i said, every time i hear a Hozier song it's sugu coded in my head... the lyrics always make sense to me. the way they're always so poetically romantic, yet in many of them there's a lingering pain underneath, wether it's because the love is already gone or because the love is simply way too much for just one heart to handle... i'm not okay.

Cypress…wouldn’t be fussed at all. If they had to choose, they’d just go with batman costumes. I feel like these have a Cypress vibe: reserved, introverted, they’d probably go to a Halloween party and try to leave after ten minutes but actually find it slightly enjoyable.

Okay anon I had to come across some twitter threads to see what you were getting at and let's sum it up yeah, a list of coincidences, things to do with larry and Chicago. I'm probably gonna miss a bunch (and prob not gonna list a bunch of others- i barely see the logic in these being intentional already), soo its a bunch of things that are in the realm of chicago + bears + phones/calling + home coinciding? To start off with your points, during Harry's Chicago residency in October 2022, there was a phone booth at the venue and llama Doris posted about it (they havent much since :( ), with a description about calling Home.

NOTE - welcome welcome to my own oneshot for Leo! This is currently part 1 considering I am writing the season part as we speak!  1200 words

SCENARIO - Leo Fanfic part 1 PAIRINGS- Leo Tsukinaga x reader GENRE - Fluff

The halls of the school Yumenosaki echoed with the footsteps of other students, a day like no other no doubt. Many of the idols walked the halls, humming to tunes in their heads, talking with their other friends or just enjoying the time they got before classes.

You on the other hand, you were a producer, you really didn't do all the fancy idol acts that the groups did, but you definitely helped out with everyone who needed it at all times. Though for this, you were the main producer for the group named Knights, a wonderous group of individuals brought together with somewhat common interests. You loved the group and honestly loved spending your time with them and there was a sense of belonging in there,, maybe it was from the atmosphere, or the familiar ginger bouncing ball you saw everyday.

"Gaaah!" The familiar groan of the ginger haired male came from the classroom ahead of you, so instinctively you headed towards it. "Are you alright Tsukinaga-Kun? You seem distressed". He looked up to you and hopped up, grabbing onto your wrist and gave a short whine "I am I am producer I am!!". You gave a chuckled and looked around the room, he had written on tons and tons of paper, the chalkboard. . And even off of said chalkboard, but that wasn't all that new. "Can you help me producer? I may be a genius but i can't think of anything!".

You gave a nod to him and smiled gently "I don't mind, are you writing a story maybe? Song lyrics?" He had pulled you down to his side where there was a free space of papers and whatnot "well I'm writing song lyrics for our next song, but y'see I can't figure out this one line" he gave another whine and ruffled his own hair and made the bangs all messy, making you chuckle more at his silliness. "Hm, what's the song about? Maybe I can help more if I know what it's about y'know?" He nods and bounced a little in his spot "well it's a song for the fans! It's got a love song feel but also has a heartfelt sentiment to it". You nod lightly to him and tapped a pencil to your chin, thinking and humming to yourself a tune to help you think up ideas.

In the corner of your eye, the ginger watched you closely as you thought and wrote down some ideas to his mess of papers in front of you. The way he stalked your movements should have been seen as creepy to others but to be honest, it was a gentle feeling to say the least, he was somehow so calm in the moment and not bouncing off the walls like he usually is when you are around.

You tilt your head towards him and smiled softly "what's all this staring for hm?" He fell out of his daze and nervously chuckled "ucchu aha! Just watchin you producer". You giggled quietly and booped his nose, going back to writing on the papers "I think these ideas work don't you think?" You showed him the papers with your constant writing on it.

"Oooo producer you are Soo smart!" He laughed happily and hugged onto you tightly, swaying you back and forth a little too aggressively but you didn't mind all that much. "Ah ah heeey" you giggled and swayed with him, being crushed lightly in his arms "ah! Sorry sorry producer, letting go now!" He frowned a bit but kept his composer and grabbed some of the papers with his notes on it and made a small gasp! Noise. "Producer! We go it aha" he stood up and ran over to the chalk board, writing more all over it, across the walls and all over the place really. He kept humming a happy little tune and a dance as he went, spinning happy little circles at you watching from the floor, eventually standing up just stand and be his audience.

He eventually stopped and grabbed your hands gently, spinning around more but making sure he had a grasp on you. "Ah ahem-- Tsukinaga-Kuuuun" you whined at him, it was a playful whine of course, dancing around like this wasn't near uncomfortable with you. He chuckled with you and gently swayed you around as he mumbled around his different ideas for the songs, it was like you make a lightbulb sprout above his head and it continued to grow as he rambled on and on and on. You simply listened to Leo and made sure to put your feet between the papers like he was doing instinctively.

It didn't take long for you to slip on one of the papers on the floor, taking your feet out from under you but luckily Leo was there to catch you. "Ah sorry! Are you alright producer?" He frowned and held you up but your hands holding his, looking up to him with a nervous look. "Yes yes I am alright Tsukinaga-Kun, just uhm. . I guess I slipped is all!" You smiled to him again but less nervous and more of a happy sort of way.

He nodded to you and helped you back to your feet, holding you up like a toddler under your shoulders. He stuck his tongue out at you as you did the same "maybe we should pick the papers of Producer, don't want you slipping again do we?" you nod and booped his nose quickly before helping him clean the papers off the floor and some that was all over the walls, sort of just strewn there. You both finished cleaning up all of the papers, stacking them into piles to carry off to where the rest of the knights were you supposed. "well all that's left is getting my stuff to the group, theeem Producer you can go work on whatever okay?"

You gave a sad but calm nod to him, helping him carry his small piles of papers to the different room that the rest of the Knights were in, talking about small little topics as you walked. You eventually got to the classroom with Leo but before you could actually open the door Leo had tapped your shoulder gently so you would turn towards him "hey hey Producer, I have a secret,, before we go in". You tilted your head to him, giving a confused look before he pulled you forward by your shoulder, pushing you against the wall gently to hide you away from the hallway. He chuckled at your bright face, mainly from embarrassment, and yet even so he gently kissed the tip of your nose, sticking his tongue out afterwards and collected his papers again "hope to see you tomorrow Producer!" and with that, he left into the classroom, taking your papers as well since you has seemingly paused in your motions and actions

Well, I really wanted to read a fic of Dazai but it's hard to find a good one in the sense of: Long and well-written story but AUTHOR, you're to be congratulated because this fanfic left me speechless, it's hard to find a fanfic that's written well the character without taking it out of character, Dazai and the other characters are on spot without leaving the character!!!

About the reader's relationship with dazai, that's exactly how I imagine his relationship, I felt really silly reading the parts where he becomes more vulnerable, I have trouble imagining how such character will reacted and this fanfic helped me a lot, in my story the romantic interests of dazai is fukuzawa's niece and she's part o ADA the thing is like ranpo she doesn't have a ability but she's good with a gun and is smart!!! But it doesn't matter it's just details I can change that in my mind and like you said in the story there's a lot of universes

There are so many things I wanted to say as I read but I think I forgot but you have definitely become my favorite writer

In that part where the reader helped dazai take off the bandages, immediately the song "possibility" by Lykke Li ran through my head, I had to stop reading, grab my headphones and put the song on while I read, I mean if you stop and pay attention to the lyrics IS LITERALLY THEM!!!

i dont know how to use tumblr anything for wansho i guess Still think its silly that the official shortened ver. of What kind of an ending are you wishing for?/donna ketsumatsu ga onozomi dai? is donketsu LMAO ANYWAYS!! donketsu as in the tuyu song for wansho. for a Rui focus. right off the bat its already depressing but like. yeah. I’ll also be considering Miku’s lines to be connected to Tsukasa! You should read this with the context of what happened in the story since I don’t really recap anything lmao. also really bad spelling so uh. yeah

Starting off with this. I feel like both the Emu and Nene lyrics generally fit them, with Nene always thinking about how wxs will eventually break apart and Emu with the thing about feelings, since she also tends to understand them well. The Tsukasa line might also be connected to how his card looks? He usually tends to be extremely positive about things like the future and how wansho will end up which reflects in the lyrics. The reference to flowers (IMO) are genius considering how Rui is in the greening committee, so it makes sense for flowers to be associated with him. “The flowers of the bouquet” could also equal his feelings of wanting to go pro and staying with wansho.

MIKU WHAT ARE YOU HIDING!!! Wansho Miku is always so.1!?!?!?!?? But I feel like this line could heavily be associated with tsukasa&nene (nene with her trauma, Tsukasa with... whatever the hell he repressed idk.) Rui’s line is definitely relating to what COULD'VE happened to him if Asahi hadn’t stopped him. his place with wansho, what could've been the future of wansho would be something he won’t be able to see :((

there's a whooole lot of places where wansho finished each-others sentences, like this part. They also do this in 1-2 fanclub, and i’m guessing this set of lyrics can be related to all of the characters, especially rui. I also think that instead of these, the lyrics might look more like:

“looking back, we came to show so many enchanting smiles” Either way, these set of lines seem to be reminiscing about what they’ve done. Nene and tsukasas part can also be a message to Rui: with Nene worrying about him in the event it could very well make sense she’s singing that, and tsk could be a follow-up. BUT!! tsukasa’s line is somewhat suspicious to me.

so far, rui has not sung with wansho. The reason nenekasa got the first line could be about how their dreams include having to leave wansho to achieve it. To become a world star Tsukasa would need to leave wansho, and nene would have to aswell if she wanted to sing around the world. The second line resonates with Rui especially. With that “smile” he gave to asahi while accepting his offer, this makes soo much sense. The Emukasa line might also relate to Rui, who had to tackle the question: “Do I want to stay with Wansho, or pursue my dream?” It could also very well relate to them, but I’m not too sure about how I could explain that. The last 2 lines... “all the logic in heaven and earth” could be reflecting how long Rui contemplated about joining Arc Land to pursue his dreams, and how he said he’ll join. In the event, Rui listed all the logical reasons as to why he should join Asahi. And then he accepted the offer. With all the logical reasons. Make sense?? I also find it ironic wansho miku is singing that with him, because she is nothing close to reasoning and logic www

I think this might be a lliiiiitle inaccurate. When I first heard this line, I thought it was more like: “Can’t these two feelings coexist with each other?” Either way, this is probably referencing about how Rui wanted his feelings of wanting to go pro and wanting to stay with wansho have difficulty coexisting.

I think the Miku line is closer to “If you were to set this bouquet aflame, “ so i’ll be going with that. This is the same bouquet mentioned before. The bouquet is DEFINITELY a reference to either Rui’s 2 feelings or his bond with wansho.

I don’t have much to say about these lines, but to me it also seems like wansho might be talking to Rui? They’re also singing affirmative lines. This part could also reflect the part in the story in which Rui reflects about how important Wansho was to him.

This always makes me think about how much Rui cares about wansho, and how much they all care about eachother :((

Rui is finally singing with wansho(nene)!! BUT ALSO THE LINES!?!?!?!? This part is where the mood drops a LOT compared to the other parts aswell... I feel like its really important emukasa r singing these lines, because they're also the ones with the Ferris wheel scene (which took place during wansho’s temporary disbandment) BUT ALSO. This is one of the only lines in which tsukasa shows weakness/his worries, and it also shows us apart of emu’s worries :(( THE THE THE ruinene lines too!! Rui&Nene tend to be the more negative of the group so them dreading how it might end or how much time they have left is!!!! so fucking evil of colorfulpallete. The last 2 lines are also. Even after all the logical reasons Rui pointed out, he STILL wanted to stay with wansho. His heart was louder than reasoning. The last line could be a question, to rui: What kind of ending does HE want? One that's as painful, one that he comes to regret, or one that ends in smiles? I feel like that message is genuinely so important for this event too. Rui eventually realized he didn’t want to end his time with wansho yet. And if he did, it wouldn’t end in real smiles! It would be regretful.

The very last verse!! The first line, unlike the other times, feels much more heartwarming. Maybe that’s just me? But unlike the other times, it also sounded less depressing? The second line could serve as a question to everyone in the group in SO MANY CONTEXTS. Tsukasa also mentioned it was somewhat painful to experience a month surrounded by so many talented people (although he dismisses it by saying he learned alot and it was overall great for him and what hes trying to achieve.) It probably serves to show how Wansho can go back to their plays, with rui safe and secure. They can go back to making others smile. There’s also alot of mention of seasons in this song... Instead of going away like seasons, this time it’s more positive: About the returning of the seasons. Rui is not answering the question, maybe? As in: not giving the answer might have been the best answer of them all. AND the 4th verse!! Rui coming out to understand that no matter how good that offer from Asahi was, he still wanted to stay with wansho. Finally, Rui has a response. The ending with wansho will surely be a happy one.

AAAND there's no way i can end this analysis like that

(pun is not intended) This song brings me to tears and screaming and crying and uhh you get the jist of it. GOD... Overall, everything is somehow able to be connected with time. At the start, it talks about the summer heat, the night and the breeze that comes with it. These are different TIMES of the day, and not everything is summer. Summer=a season, seasons change, Seasons changing is also related to TIME passing. The gacha is also called "Temple of Chronos Gacha.” Chronos, like the god of time. I feel like the concept of time in this song is just so. aggravating? Time can mean so many things. An end, a continuation, and more. It also makes sense with the hourglass motif of the event. I AM IN TEARS. I can’t get over the theme of flowers either. With flower meanings that can be thrown around and how much it connects to rui, its just... Rui also deeply cares about flowers and tending to them. The wansho colors in the flowers of their outfits might event represent that: the fact that rui cares about his bond with wansho: his friendship with wansho THAT MUCH. (i want to put rui kamishiro in a blender) This event was just so. GOOD. it made me feel super hopeless and sad when i was done but at the same time it just resonates with alot of problems people may relate to, and the message of the story is great. The way they portrayed everything, all of the things connecting to rui as a character in the event, and its just. GOD............. Thank you project sekai for making me want to explode Its also beautifully written. The event fits so well with how much they’ve been foreshadowing wansho drifting apart. I doubt it’ll stop here, because emu and tsukasa’s feelings about these kinds of things haven’t been revealed. I also think it’s worth thinking about the difference of the TUYU and Wansho versions. In my opinion, I feel like the Tuyu one could also reflect what Rui might have felt like if he were to actually join Arc Land. In Tuyu’s the final line sounds like the character is trying to convince themself their ending will be happy, because they came to regret the decisions they made to achieve their dream. That’s...oddly similar to what could’ve happened in the event, and also a different take on the lyrics. Wansho stories are so beautiful I cried a little BUT YEAH tldr get these kids alot of therapy

Writing challenge - creating an OC using a playlist

Soo, I had a long day today and I wanted to finish it off in a good way. So after seeing 0 interesting content, I opened Pinterest and that picture appeared to me. It wasn't the first time I had seen it, but that was the first time that I actually decided it would be a good idea to give this challenge a try, and I'm glad I did!!!!!!!!

It's so interesting to see how the OC came out as someone completely different from me, even tho she was created from my favorite songs on Spotify, which is basically a dump to my personality, or so I thought... But anyways, ladies and gentlemen.... HER:

Her personality: "As it was" by Harry Styles

The lyrics of this song doesn't "match" with its cheerful beat. If you take a minute to listen to it, like really listen, you'll be able to see someone struggling. It's someone who has a hard time opening to others and letting their vulnerable side show. For some reason, likely something that happened in the past, the person closed themselves to the world.

When I listened to this song thinking about an OC, I thought of someone who had to grow up when they were still a kid, and of someone who didn't have the time to understand and work on their traumas. [It wasn't intentional, but that does reminds me of Castiel]

Kim grew up in a dysfunctional family where she didn't have the support from her parents and relatives. She was barely a teen when she was forced to look after herself when her parents were so close to her, but at the same time completely absent.

Her job: "Santo" by Jão

So here we have Jão again, I really like his songs if you guys haven't noticed it yet Kkkkkk

The title of this song means "Saint". I was a bit taken aback when I listened to this song thinking about a "job" for my OC, but well... It kinda makes sense somehow

So I ended up choosing the 2nd option. Kim is a beautiful girl and she knows it, she ended up having to use it to survive; she didn't have the support to continue her studies and she already had as many common part time jobs as she could take, and being an escort was one of them.

This song is so good, but so sad. I love it, but I hate it represents Kim backstory and add even more sense to her character from what we've seen up till now.

The song starts with something like "as cold as ice" and I'm lazy to go look for it now, so that makes me think Kim is really used to the cold (the cold is also mentioned in Coraline). And also, I heard that in Korea tangerines are kinda common, so Kim could be Korean or maybe Japanese... I even thought about northern China because of the cold, but I haven't decided yet, so for now she's "east asian".

obviously, the first character than came in my mind when thinking about debut was kenji mirazawa and do i even need to explain? the country vibes, the innocence and optimism...it fits him so well. because one of the biggest themes of debut is about finding our place in this world (there's even a song titled this way) i think that also tachihara michizou is another great fit

2) Fearless👗🐎🪞

after spending a lot of time thinking about it, i realized kyouka izumi is definitely a fearless girlie. i mean, fearless is the grown up version of debut, kenji and kyouka are the same age but the later is much more mature while still maintaining a kind of innocence. fearless is an album about overcoming our fears, which is an important theme in kyouka's character. she is fearless.

3) Speak Now🎇💍🎤

probably at first impact this will not make sense, but i promise you it does. kunikida doppo is speak now. sn is an album about standing up for ourself and give importance to our opinion. one of the biggest traits of kunikida's character is the firmly belief in his ideals, which really resonates with speak now's message at its core. also, it's literally canon that kunikida has irrealistic standards regarding his ideal partner, and many speak now songs match his deluluness lol

the first bsd character that comes into my mind when thinking about red is yosano akiko. and for obvious reasons: i always thought of red as the "wine aunt" album, and yosano is definitely a wine aunt. it's a particular album, that goes from happy to sad, like a rollercoaster. knowing yosano's backstory and how much of a rollercoaster was it, i really think they match so well

Your writing is capable of making me cry, laugh, jump for joy. Truly, I didn’t know what it meant to love writing and want to hold it close to your heart till I read your work. I want to ask how you achieve this. How do you write so well? I would love to write like you, and I just want to hear some words of advise, maybe, if you’re willing to give them? 

do u have writing tips for aspiring authors :> how did u get into writing? and get good at it asw?

i will never not feel like i’m the wrong person to ask for writing advice but this ask is so incredibly sweet, and it was one of several asking for advice, and i want to give you anons a bit of what you’re all asking for so i tried my best not to sound too redundant… some of my ideas under the cut :)

i got into writing at a youngish age and probably just got better at it via practice and reading, like many others! writing is definitely a romantic thing for me—not just in the sense that i write romance, but in the sense that for me, writing is and should always come from a place of love. i think all of it should in some way trace back to how we love… i always always try to include a bit of that, and more often i draw from my own experiences and habits, or the people i love and how they speak of/treat/experience love.

in the same vein my experiences always come into play when i write. my love of crosswords, my city, my experiences with boys, female friendships, moving, loneliness, etc—whatever it is, i like drawing from life because it’s an emotion i know and can write the grit of out, narratively speaking

i treat writing like my work is one big vision board… i always scrap and add things at will. i have to suss out passages i know won’t work (and maybe save them for another piece) and add some necessary ones that i find boring to write sometimes.

i love to play with time (this is soo clear i think) i love a non-linear plot, little jumps of time in between as you move forward. on a pragmatic level it works as a context device; on a more emotional level it’s kind of a metaphor for being constantly drawn back to memories that can either encourage the character’s, or keep them from, moving forward — same reason why i like not closing endings. it gives you the opportunity to sit with what you read. AND same reason why i don’t usually do sequels

i am not an outline girl! i’ve tried the schtick a few times, it worked for me until it didn’t. if i do make one, it’s in the middle of writing when i’m faced with a plethora of material that i just need to organize somehow, and i make a rough outline to iron everything out for myself. otherwise i don’t

probably the thing i pay most attention to when i write is dialogue… i like things to sound fluid (esp non-smut because i think with smut u can get away with more suspension of belief haha) and natural and lovely and real, so i take extra time to write stutters/rephrases mid-sentence/um/uh because as opposed to film, u won’t hear them, so i need to convey the emotions somehow! i also love writing out how people talk at the same time, it feels less like a one-on-one, feels realer

if i’m short of inspo i read, i walk, and i listen to music especially movie scores. so impt: i rely more on the instrumental of a song > lyrics when i write. i always imagine: what would i want to play in the background if this scene was happening in a film? i also use pinterest to suss out what an outfit might look like so i can write its description better, a city, a hug, etc

i sincerely hope this was helpful. reading it back, it sounds like an idea dump but i hope it suffices anyway! i’m sorry if i wasn’t more technical!

you know what i think it has to be hollow americana. i really wanted to write a fic that captured how i felt on roadtrips, and how empty a roadstop in a desert can feel. i wanted something that was haunting and melancholy and hung you up on all of the little details, and i think i pulled that off perfectly. its exactly what i wanted it to be

ummm all of the jdau, basically. it was such a niche idea and i really just wrote it because i was fucking obsessed with harvey and jason and tfz and its amassed more of a following than i expected it to

i like “son of dent” because its a direct reference to traditional jewish headstones and i think im soo clever for that, and i love “hollow americana” because it fits the energy of that fic so well. i think “like an oil-stained phoenix” is pretty good, if a little pretentious, but my favorite is definitely “the mystery of the old boathouse” because i really really wanted a title that references old mystery books i grew up reading and ties into the detective au theme, and it fits well!

20: A song that has many meanings to you

omg this was actually so hard 😭 i'm gonna have to say black out days by phantogram, this was on repeat every day for me last year it's SOO GOOD! the vibes first of all just make me feel like I'm levitating like it always gives me peak main character energy, it's the perfect song to listen to while walking in nature. but it's also the perfect song to cry to, like the vibes are free but depending on my mood it can also be more angry and that makes me feel comforted when I'm sad.

the lyrics are also kinda the same, there's this part where it says "stay away" but it drags it out so depending on how I feel, so I remember last year when I was losing a couple friends I focused on the "stay" part, but if I'm in A Mood then I'll focus on the "stay away" part AJDBAJF this makes no sense but yeah this song is perfect for anything you just have to look at it in different ways

is the album bad.

soooo i have mixed feelings lol there's a few songs i really like (rsd, self sabotage, brainwashed, ritual) a few i feel like are pretty good (a night out on earth, funeral grey YES despite the cringe lyrics at least i's catchy and a fun listen unlike half trhe shit on this album never thought i'd be saying this when singles were coming out), starfucker and closer are. fine i guess. but 2best friends fuck about it and end of the water are all soo fucking bad. so kind of a mixed bag to me personally in terms of some songs i really like vs some i really hate vs past albums of theirs where it was like, MAYBE there would be a song or two i just wouldn't like very much & usually skip so definitely a let down in that regard. like gh was a noskip for me besides fruit roll ups to for it to be followed by something where i truly around half the sogns on an album that's already so short.

but as an ALBUM honestly i have to say it's Not Good just because of how incoherent and all over theplace it sounds. ik gh was widely dislikes but i loved it so i'm gonna use it as a comparison bcus gh i feel had a lot of different sounds on it without any of them seeming out of place or inconsistent like snow globe & magnetic & ice bath all had a reallydifferent sound from you'd be paranoid too & lowkey as hell & american graffiti which were different from numb & fuzzy, etc etc but the songs all felt like they belonged on one album together, none of the transitions were jarring, and it all felt like one consistent experience that just had a lot of variation to it which made it a fun listen. but ip to me doesn['t sound like an album it sounds like someone made a playlist with no regard for making sure the songs made sense together & without paying any attention to track order. like to me there's a fine line betweenvaried and messy & ip is just messy.

& the only lyrics ifeel like i've ended up liking off ip are the oens that arelike, the same themes awsten has already written about already. the hypersexual stuff it just sooo embarrassing to listen to & the whole religious trauma theme he talked about in the album descrpition i feel liike barely comes through aside from in a night out on earth & so many of the other mentions tor eligion just feel shoehorned in like. "jesus christ won't text me back"??? you don't need to put a clip from that abstince onlysex ed psa just like. make your point in the lyrics themselves lmao.

i hope this doesn't sound like i'm just being a hater because listen as cringey as it is to admit parx is one of my favorite bands i've seen them 6 times i'll be seeing them twice more this summer i will continue seeing them for as long as they tour because they put on some of the most fun shows out of anyone & i'm saying this as someonewho's been to probably 100 concerts at least. but yeah this album was a big let down. thanks for coming to my ted talk sorry about the typos i'm using the mechanical keyboard w my tablet & the space bar is a fuck
