Lincoln Baker & Lolly Racket. The two met in Twinbrook Community Garden and had some serious chats. Then it got cold and they looked for a warm place.. There was supposed to be cake, but unfortunately the appliances didn't work. So there was something else instead. the first kiss - for both. Background: In the city, the gender ratio among young people is very unbalanced and Lolly has so far shown no real interest among the young people of the same age. But things were different for young adults. she met him in a salon. Actually, they already knew each other briefly, because they are neighbors. Now it's just a bit more :)

"I don't know Lincoln, are you sure now's the right time?" 'Nita asked, playing with Lincoln’s hand nervously. She's leaning on him, while he has one arm wrapped around her.

"'Nita, now's a *perfect* time. We'll go to Father James' house for dinner, you two will finally get to meet, and then I'll take you out for dessert. Seems fine to me." Lincoln said calm and coolly.

"I just know Father James means a lot to you, that's all."

"Which is exactly why I want y'all to meet. Why are you so nervous 'Nita? He's goin' to love you." Lincoln gave her a little squeeze.

"I know. I know. I'm sure I'm going to love him too, from what you told me. I just- do you think he's going to be able to tell I'm not... Catholic?" 'Nita asked nervously.

Lincoln let out a deep hearty chuckle, and 'Nita couldn't help but smile along. She loves hearing Lincoln laugh.

"I'm sure he'll know the second you walk into his house." Lincoln teased.

"I mean my grandmother was Catholic if that means anything. My dad just-" She rambled nearly inaudibly.

"Juanita, it's okay. I'm teasin' you! Take a breather." Lincoln grabbed her up in his arms, so she was looking at him, face to face.

She nodded her head, cheeks going red. She reached over and gently held his face in her hands.

"I just really want this to go well, Lincoln. You mean a lot to me. I don't want to fuck up the first chance I get." She leaned over and pressed a kiss against his forehead.

"That’s not gonna happen with the Father. I can promise you that. You're goin' to have a good time. He can be one helluva host, ya know. I think he'll really enjoy gettin' to meet you." Lincoln set his hands on her waist, and gave her a gentle squeeze.

She took a deep breath and nodded her head. She leaned down and pecked him on the lips softly, before nodding her head again.

"Okay. I can do this. We can do this. This'll be good." She smiled widely, rubbing his cheeks with her thumbs.

"It will. I have to say though, you're worried 'bout the wrong person." A mischievous smile tugged on the corner of his mouth. He tried to stifle it. She visibly sunk.

"Oh yeah?"

"Uh huh,' She let her hands drop to a button on Lincoln’s shirt. She anxiously fidgeted with it. 'you gotta worry about a friend of mine. Her name is Ivy Nicole. She's- different. She uh- was datin' Ellis. She's protective of me.' he let out a rough chuckle, like he had to force it more than anything, 'She means no harm but says the meanest shit sometimes. Don't let her get to you. I'm not sure when you'll meet her. Just wanted to give you a heads up." He pushed some hair out of 'Nita's face.

"Okay. Ivy Nicole. Protective. Dated your brother. I got this." She shot him a semi-confident smile.

"Don't look so scared! You're gonna be fine." He couldn't hide his playful smile anymore. Which of course made 'Nita smile back, immediately feeling better.

Welcome to Great Basin National Park by Mark Stevens Via Flickr: A setting looking to the west while taking in views across the Nevada high desert leading up to the ridges and peaks off in the distance in Great Basin National Park. This is at a roadside pullout along Nevada State Route 487. I took advantage of a slight rise from the roadside to create more of a sweeping view leading up to the mountains in the national park. That brought them higher into the image and hopefully helped to bring out more of a sense of grandeur and avoid any flattening.
