Linen and monofilament double cloth. I was bored by this so threw it into the washing machine with effective results!

The Linen Tank Top
One of my earlier and more ambitious crochet projects was this linen tank top with geometric surface stitching.
Tumblr media
As I was still pretty new to crochet I struggled with working with the thin linen yarn and with doing such precise surface stitching. But I did it!

And in the end I'm pretty thrilled with how it turned out!

Here's how the southdown babydoll/flax blend ended up. Excited to work with it altho not sure what to make. Iirc it's about 175 yards of 2 ply. Was gonna do a bag but I bet a hat would be nice too...
Spun on the espinner and plied on the treadle wheel. Depending on how it knits up, washes, and wears, I might make more of this kind of blend. It was very interesting and engaging to spin because of the very different staple lengths and crimpiness.

I wove this a few years ago - it’s a short scarf in a Huck lace random pattern woven in linen and tencel. At 40epi and double at the selvedges it’s the finest I have done. I want to repeat this but have doubts as to whether my eyesight is good enough!

Quoozies (queer coozies)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
might post a real version on ravelry later, but just writing down a lazy version for right now:
Yarn: Big Twist Living
Color: "Inclusivity" [editor's note: šŸ™„]
Hook: 5.75mm
ch 28
join to first chain to make a circle (make sure it doesn't twist)
sc around
linen stitch in a continuous spiral for about 18 rounds
do a linen stitch decrease (v loose) in a spiral for about 2 rounds to make the bottom
You're gonna have to periodically check the fit as you go, because it has to be within a pretty narrow range to actually work as a coozie without being too tight, so keep a can handy!

Finished a pair of socks for the first time in awhile? I think they’re the ones I I started in my old post that I reblogged yesterday. I don’t remember if I’d picked a character or theme for the socks when I started them but the colorway fits the Jiang sect from MDZS, so I have Jiang sect socks now. I weaved in the ends and I’ll just have to take out the stitch markers and wash/block them before I can wear them.
And I finished the first of my Wen Ning socks, weaved in the ends and cast on the second sock. Done with the cuff, so if I can actually be consistent about about knitting and if I’ve the energy, after work, I can probably be done with the heel turn by the end of the week
