Which of the Three Houses guys will watch their beloved go off on an enemy and have the reaction of "Well mark me down as scared AND horny", do you think?
Ahh, see my dear Friend Anon, this is a nuanced spectrum- but I'll do my best to break it down as I see it:
Scared and Horny:
Claude - has enough common sense to be scared, but definitely hot-blooded enough to be horny about it. A beautiful balance, frankly, though he may tease you about how wild you were.
Raphael - soooo close to qualifying for the "just horny" category, but he is a sweet boy and still wants to check to be sure you're alright (mentally, emotionally, physically) after the battle.
Ignatz - soooo close to qualifying for the "just scared" category lmao. However, as you all know, I see our boy Ignatz as very repressed and very kinky, and seeing you be so powerful and passionate definitely stirs some part of him.
Ferdinand - practically the poster-boy for "scared and horny" tbh; he feels sheepish about it, but he just can't help how your strength and force of will arouse him.
Seteth - also strangely close to the "just horny" category, not that he wants to admit it; seeing you like this really awakens something primal in him from far in his past. Still, his concern for you is ever-present and ultimately pushes aside how entrancing you look conquering your foes so thoroughly.
Sylvain - I almost don't know how to elaborate on this one because, I mean, of course, right? Of course Sylvain is worried, but also just burning inside watching you flushed in the face, damp with sweat, muscles tight, hair wild.......
Just Scared:
Lorenz - oscillating wildly between worried for you and worried for every person around you. Definitely impressed, don't get me wrong- he appreciates battle prowess. But if you're really going berserk, he's worried.
Dedue - while he's likely right there beside you in the fight, he worries about seeing you get particularly aggressive. He's seen what bloodlust has done to the other most valued person in his life, and never wants to see you go too far down that path.
Ashe - it's not as though he can't stomach violence, he just feels that there's a certain responsibility and necessity for rules of engagement when it comes to combat, hence his proclivity for chivalry. Seeing you completely lose yourself worries him, and he'll want to be with you and hold you and make sure you're okay as soon as he can.
Just Horny:
Hubert - I feel like this is more or less self explanatory lmao. Though he does still hope you'll be rational and not do anything unnecessarily risky while eviscerating your foes.
Caspar - again, an obvious choice. Honestly, I think Caspar wants to fuck after just about every battle you two come back from, provided neither of you is hurt too badly.
Jeritza - this is the most obvious one so far lol. Though, when he's more 'himself,' he does silently worry about you sharing in his bloodshed and provoking the Death Knight part of him.
Felix - honestly, it's probably even fiercer than Hubert or Caspar; the lust he feels for you in the heat of battle is both primal and nearly spiritual. This is about his whole life philosophy, after all. After a particularly tough and gruesome fight, he wants nothing more than to absolutely ravage you (and might need to be talked down if he has wounds to attend to first)
Outliers:
Linhardt - ideally, he is not present, as the sight of you "going off" on an enemy is likely to involve waaaaay more blood than he's comfy with. He'll definitely tend to you afterward, and wryly scold you for going overboard (secretly, he was super worried when he heard from your comrades of how ferocious you were out there)
Dimitri - he's in different categories depending on where he's at in his arc tbh. Feral Dimitri is obviously just horny about you diving into the bloodshed with him, while "redeemed" Dimitri has some measure of restraint about it
Yuri - it's more like "amused/impressed and horny," tbh. Though he never looses his head about it- he's still keeping a close eye on you to make sure nothing goes awry. But he won't deny that he enjoys watching, nonetheless.

Black Eagles Found Family Stuff During Time-Skip Headcanons
Edelgard is referred to affectionately as the 'Mother Eagle' by the Black Eagles with how doting she can be.
Everyone knows that Hubert's awkward cases of showing affection come from his upbringing of needing to be a cold.
Dorothea comes up with lyrics about the Black Eagles and teaches them all.
---Whenever the BEs are down or worried they hum or sing the tune Dorothea taught them.
Linhardt may hate the sight of blood but he never complains about taking care of the BEs, unless they did something stupid.
Caspar and Ferdinand always knows when to check up on someone and cheer them up.
---And if they need cheering up they can rely on the BEs, even if some may be awkward with assistance (Edelgard & Hubert)
Petra loves to lead hunting expeditions, and encourages a Black Eagle or two to join her.
Ferdinand finds tending to horses relaxing, so he encourages any stressed BEs to join him in distressing through horse maintenance.
Bernadetta is now confident speaking around the BEs.
---She sews them matching embroidery eagles to pin to themselves.
Whenever Edelgard feels nauseous due to her Twin Crests she knows she needn't hide it with the BEs.
---All of them would push her to rest. It's seven against one.
Hubert is designated chef of the BEs. Nobody complains.
Whenever she visits Brigid, Petra is thrilled to share her culture's clothes, trinkets, etc with the BEs.
---she also loves giving them meals that are too spicy for Fódlanders.
-----Caspar thought he could handle it. He downed so much milk.
They go on picnics whenever they can.
Upon learning of her Twin Crests and that her life is shortened Linhardt works tirelessly to find a cure with Hanneman's help.
Manuela is not afraid to call out if any BEs is being stupid or reckless.
Edelgard tells all the BEs to call her 'El' as they are her family.
Hubert keeps a watchful eye on any of Dorothea's suitors to ensure they don't even think about harming her.
Everyone agrees that Edelgard, Hubert, & Ferdinand are hopeless at naming anything (Black Eagles Strike Force, Twin Jewels, etc).
All of them know secret dialogue and hand signs to ensure each know whether the other is the original or a Slitherer posing as them.
When the war is over every year they celebrate the anniversary of its end with a picnic.

cuddling with linhardt
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairing: linhardt von hevring x gn!reader
tags: cuddling, fluff, implied romantic relationship
Tumblr media
linhardt likes to be as close to you as possible
there could be a ton of space on the sofa or bed and he'd still be sitting so close to you, that he's basically on top of you
linhardt never asks you to cuddle with him, but you can guess that this is what he wants when he gets so close to you
he'll often just rest his head on your shoulder or lap, until you start to wrap your arms around him or play with his hair
linhardt isn't very vocal during cuddling, but he doesn't mind listening to you talking about your day or anything that is currently on your mind
he just wants to be close to you, that's all that matters to him…

I mean, mad scientist Constance and experiment Hapi are the obvious ones. Also anyone who thinks that Lin would put in more effort than bedsheet ghost is fooling themselves.
Hapi says she wants to “look hot” so Constance invents a potion that makes it look like her hair is on fire

Linhardt was happiest with the room situation in Abyss, since his shared room with Eldie and Hubert had low lighting, he could basically fall asleep at the drop of a hat (but no matter how much times he insists to sleep best with no lights, he'll conk out anywhere.)

The consequences of wielding magic in Fodlan
That’s a headcanon of mine I’m quite fond of (and that I reference in my latest one-shot) : the idea that wielding magic does come with side-effects, but instead of the scars that we sometimes see in fanarts (which are cool, I’m not saying otherwise), those side-effects are hidden, almost invisible, and vary a bit depending on the type of magic you wield. More to the point, it’s not your skin that your magic attacks, it’s your nerves.
The idea is that magic is a form of energy and you generate it yourself, then gather it, usually in your hands, to cast spells ; but just like wielding a sword or an axe often over a long period of time will cause callouses to form on your hands (skin getting damaged by your use of a weapon and being remade thicker so it can’t be damaged again), wielding magic will damage your nerves over time and progressively lead you to lose part or all of your sensitivity over areas of varying sizes.
The thing is, sensitivity isn’t just “feeling touch”, it’s also “being able to identify if something is cold or hot” (or thermoception, which also tells you how cold or hot it is so you can know when it gets too much and avoid getting hurt) as well as being able to “feel how your limbs are positioned” (proprioception).
Those different sides of sensitivity already vary between people (some will be more sensitive to heat than others) and can also be altered by the things that happen to you (a surgery might cause you to lose part of your superficial sensitivity around the area you had the surgery on, like your wrist, which is called hypoesthesia, or on the contrary when the nerves reform they’ll overcompensate and you’ll be hypersensitive, to the point of feeling pain from the lightest touch, which is called hyperesthesia). Of course, in Fodlan, your use of magic can have a similar effect.
Fire and ice magic users (like Marianne) will first be desensitised from heat/cold because the temperature of their magic will get their hands and arms used to higher or lower temperatures and they’ll progressively stop registering them, meaning that the first sign a fire using mage is starting to feel the side-effects is that they won’t notice that a stove-top is too hot to put your hand on and get burned. But their nerves’s deterioration won’t stop just because they don’t feel heat so well anymore and, over the years, they’ll progressively lose the rest of their sensitivity.
Lighting users (like Dorothea) have electricity running down their arms when they conjure up spells and electricity is what is used to send messages by the nerves to the brain, so it will rapidly come to affect all types of sensitivity, but often the first one to be visibly impacted is the ability to feel touch/pressure.
Wind users (like Linhardt) will also lose all types of sensitivity at the same rate, though it tends to affect their proprioception a little earlier than the rest (feeling of weightlessness comes with wind and offsets the nerves).
In a similar, yet opposite manner, black magic users (like Hubert) will also lose proprioception first, then the rest at roughly the same speed, but this time it’s not because of a feeling of weightlessness but a feeling of heavyness from the miasma that is black magic.
Light magic (like Manuela’s) is a special case because it will cause the caster to lose their vision first (not directly through the magic altering their nerves but because the casters will be exposed to their spells’ particularly strong light) and, after a while, progressively lose the different types of sensitivity at roughly the same rate. It’s the type of magic that is slowest to deteriorate the casters’ nerves.
Lastly, white magic : it cannot actually heal the damage done to the nerves (it’s too complex), but it tries, and the more you use it and slightly damage your nerves with it, the more it will try to heal you as much as the person you’re trying to heal, the more sensitive you’ll become, causing hyperesthesia on an area of varying size.
For all those side effects, there is a cure : not using magic anymore for as long as it takes your nerves to heal (and avoiding any contact, even cloth, on the area impacted if you have hyperesthesia). Depending on how much damage was done, it can take a long time : if the caster doesn’t feel anything up to their elbow, knowing nerves grow back at a similar speed to your hair, you’re looking at a good year of “no magic” to regain your sensitivity.
Stimulation can help with the recovery, which means it can also help slow down the deterioration process while you are still practicing magic : the exercises will vary depending on the type(s) of sensitivity you’re trying to stimulate, but it’s not too complicated to figure out so most mages come up with their own exercices to fit with their lifestyle and available materials and tools.

ok so i have a theory that healers draw their healing from a source right? like there’s something that fuels their ability so lin draws his healing from knowledge, mercedes draws hers from faith, flayn draws hers from friendship i think marianne draws hers from nature the more connected you are to your “source”, the more powerful you will be so as linhardt learns more and more, he grows stronger. but he also loses sleep and strength with that. as mercedes becomes more faithful, she grows stronger. but she thinks for herself and her friends less and less. as flayn gets closer to her friends and grows stronger, the more it destroys her when those friends eventually die well, marianne draws on nature. and as she gets more and more powerful, flowers begin to sprout when she uses her magic. because of this, whenever she fails to save someone, they’re surrounded by flowers

B I L for linhardt? 👀💚
Lin! Special snoozy lad!!
Alphabet prompts - Linhardt (FE3H)
B (body part), I (intimacy), L (location)
NSFW 18+
Body part: Lin frankly doesn't think much about his own appearance, but he is pleased that his hair is naturally smooth, consistently fairly thick, but ultimately manageable. He quietly enjoys when you play with or style his hair, or even just the gentle, soothing sensation of your fingertips brushing his ears and neck while they comb through it (he's also game for a bit of light hair-pulling...). On you, it's your chest; regardless of anatomy and/or size, he just loves resting his head on your chest or nuzzling against you and listening to the sound of your heartbeat. It's a bonus that this is a perfect position for you to steadily stroke his hair. Naturally, he certainly won't mind if this tender, intimate time together slowly begins to heat into something more salacious...
Intimacy: Frankly, it doesn't come naturally to Linhardt, though certainly not for lack of feeling. He's really not a romantic by nature, and his ways of expressing his affection for you are either incredibly blunt ("You are remarkably beautiful, you know."), or so innocuous that if you didn't know him so well, you may not realize how much it means ("You always crave [food] when you're cranky" = I adore you so much that I compulsively study your wants and needs because they're precious information to me), and it's much the same in bed. He'll flatly tell you that you fit so perfectly around his cock, or that your lips feel so good it scrambles his thoughts- without a hint of embarrassment or shame. Then, when you're cuddling afterwards, he'll mention off-hand some kind of absurdly minute detail about how you moan when he moves a certain way, and it just emphasizes how fixated he gets on you.
Location: I mean, it's sort of a given with Lin that he'd rather be in his bed most times, and that extends to sex as well. Trying to get riled up elsewhere just reminds him of how much more comfortable he would be if he could just lie with his naked body so warm and flush to yours, free to murmur your name and hold you close, build gradually up to that incredible moment of release, and then drift to sleep with his head against your chest. It's nothing short of divine- hell, he might even consider a more "regular" sleep schedule if he could count on you waiting in his bed for him each night.

Edelgard Birthdays Headcanons:
In celebration of Edelgard's birthday~:
For the siblings it either means teasing her height more or teasing her less.
She can eat all the sweets she wants! Yay!
--Will unsurprisingly become sick as a result.
If she's been in the dungeon for some time then a sibling uses some mud they find in a prison to make her a literal mud cake to celebrate.
--They don't know if it is her birthday, but it is to cheer her up.
Upon her siblings' death she stopped publicly announcing and publicly celebrating her birthday.
Most of her siblings' gifts have been destroyed during the Insurrection of Seven.
The gifts that survived are in her room... but she doesn't remember who gave her what and what year due to her PTSD.
When it's her birthday during the Academy she simply celebrates alone, to reflect on how she survived when her siblings did not.
--But somehow (Hubert likely leaked it) all the Black Eagles find out and throw her a party.
----She is touched by this (but thinks herself undeserving with what will happen in the future).
Ferdinand tried baking the greatest cake ever. He failed.
Bernadetta made a cake. She succeeded.
Hubert organised the party. Naturally.
Petra cooked some Brigidan dishes.
Caspar carried gifts when they all went shopping presents for her.
Linhardt helped... by carrying the lightest load.
Dorothea sings 'Happy Birthday' with operatic flare.
As the years go on her friends still throw her birthdays (just between family).
--Every single gift she receives from them she keeps in her room.
Her family may be gone, but she has a newfound family with the Black Eagles.
The day they say 'Happy Birthday El' is one that sticks with her forever.
For Azure Moon, Verdant Wind, & Silver Snow she notes how the latest birthday is seeing less and less Black Eagles...
If she survived as the hegemon a year later she realises that this is the first birthday that she is completely alone.
In Scarlet Blaze and Golden Wildfire, Shez spilled to Claude it is her birthday. He actually got her a well-meaning gift.
--And naturally teased her height.

Sorry for asking too much but do you have any headcanons about Caspar's brother because my headcanons aren't pleasant about what I think about the guy ( I see acting pretty predatory towards Linhardt... Cough ...Frollo vibes... Cough)
I don't have a whole lot of detailed headcanons about him, generally, other than just having a negative sibling relationship with Caspar, because Caspar doesn't talk about him at all. Most we got is Caspar and Edelgard's support and it feels like Caspar's feelings towards his brother is one of minimal respect - isn't very close to him, but doesn't express negativity towards him and doesn't want to get in the way of his brother's inheritance. I attribute that to Caspar's own nature of not holding a grudge against people and just accepting his place in the family.
So, some headcanons...
I just see him as either completely ignoring, picking on, or blaming everything on Caspar. A bully when they were growing up, and as adults, he just doesn't talk to him or interact with him at all, unless he absolutely had to, in which case it never felt like talking to a sibling.
In my head, he's like 6-8 years older than Caspar.
As kids, he did things that mean older brothers typically do like smack him upside the head or purposely trip him, and verbally made fun of both him and Linhardt always being together, which really just gave the two of them even more reason to stick together. He doesn't interact with Linhardt beyond verbally picking on him for being friends with Caspar. Linhardt doesn't like him at all and has pulled pranks on him for being awful to Caspar, but he stopped doing that because his brother would just take it out on Caspar, and that's the last thing Linhardt would want.
I feel like if his brother was any meaner to Linhardt, Caspar would openly hate him in canon a lot more, so I don't see him really touching Linhardt at all beyond verbal insults. The two of them generally stay away from him anyway.
Since he's the first son, he gets priority and better treatment overall, while Caspar is just told to keep up with his training. It's why he and Linhardt had so many adventures together that involved Linhardt getting better at healing because Caspar kept hurting himself; it's almost like they were barely even supervised, and Caspar couldn't just be taken care of by their parents or housekeeping staff.
If his brother got in trouble, he would blame Caspar for it, and Caspar wouldn't be able to argue back because it's his brother's word over his own. He also feels actually threatened by Caspar's fighting prowess purely because he can in fact see Caspar taking his inheritance from him by being better at physical battle than him, which is why he's both awful to Caspar as a kid and hardly acknowledges him as an adult. Too bad he doesn't really do anything about the "getting better" part because he's lazy and doesn't apply himself the right way. :^)
He's better at strategy and logical thinking in battle, a headcanon I basically took from @gghero because Marty is very based.
I also headcanon him as a Hero class, something my girlfriend came up with initially and I got pretty attached to. He's also crestless, something I specifically thought about because canon emphasises Caspar being a second son and he has no crest. So the fact that he was born first is the only reason why he's inheriting anything at all, and Caspar was just not born with the crest they needed so his brother kept his inheritance.
Before Three Hopes revealed the actual reason, I used to headcanon that his brother was the reason for Caspar's fear of thunderstorms by locking him out of the house during a particularly bad one as a child - an idea I basically took from The Crest Scholar's Dilemma (a fic I HIGHLY recommend reading).
