Here I am to talk about milelumax.

I like to throw ship ideas around with AUs and here's one: Elumax are dating- they're in college- and Mike meets them all individually and develops a crush on each of them without realizing they're all dating.

He and Lucas share a class together- some science one- and they're lab partners and Lucas is really funny and kinda 'jocky' so Mike isn't excited when they get paired together as lab partners...only to find out that Lucas is actually kind of brilliant and they challenge each other academically. A crush quickly insues.

He meets El in the library! They end up studying at the same time pretty regularly and eventually they start share smiles and then that leads to small talks which leads to them quizzing each other on their classes. Mike is like "yes pretty girl please quiz me for my exam" but one time when El is quizzing him for the same science class he's taking with Lucas she casually mentions her bf takes that class. Mike is v disappointed but never figures out that the bf is Lucas.

Finally Max. He ends up working with her at a roller rink. She trained him. They bicker all the time. But Mike,,,he likes someone to can challenge him. And Max just likes to taunt him and get him riled up. They end up making out in the break room one night and Mike is like?? Okay what now?? What are we??

Okay but here's the thing, Elumax have all figured that their 'cute guy' is the same one so Max making out with him was totally planned. After that shift she takes him back to their apartment and Mike is,,,shocked to see El and Lucas waiting on him

how long have you been writing? and what do you think makes a poem good?

ive been writing to some degree since i was like 8 i think. i started coming up with little songs and a couple stories. i think this is funny, when i was little and i got in an argument or smth with my sister, i would stay sitting near her (cause where else wasi gonna go? we shared a room) and i would make up a little song about how she hurt me so bad or whatever and i would sing it right next to her and she would be like shut UP lmaooo. but back to the point, i started my more serious writing like 5-6 years ago, and it was honestly so terrible. but it helped me grow, and i couldn't be a decent poet if i hadn't been a really bad one first.

to me, i think poetry is all about capturing a snapshot of emotion. so a good poem doesn't have to have perfect form, or be smth relatable or even smth u completely understand. but if u can feel what the poet felt, at least to some degree, then that's a good poem. bonus points if it makes me feel completely insane

that’s not a dumb question at all !! it’s actually a little bit of both. in the beginning, matt was in such disbelief about actually dating stevie that he was happy to go at whatever pace she wanted. he thought stevie would get tired of him quickly, so he was just enjoying whatever time he had with her. but as time went on, stevie ended up trusting him more, which means he saw more of what’s going on in stevie’s life & her past, and he started feeling like he might be in over his head. matt just wasn’t prepared for how serious things have gotten in stevie’s life lately.

so, long story short: in the beginning, he was ready for either a casual or serious relationship, but when he realized just how serious it could be, he started to backpedal.

AHHH that’s the highest compliment, that’s exactly what i hoped to accomplish!! 💖💖 i always worry that i spoil too much in asks and stuff, but as i’m always saying, it’s about the journey, not the destination!

the thing with puppy jihyo is that nayeon is all of the good that she knows. like, she has been abandoned before so putting on trust and liking someone can be hard. she likes sana because sana pets and spoils her, she likes momo because momo is always bonding with her through cooking for her, playing with her and all that. mina is pretty straightforward, a hybrid friend. now, yoo jeongyeon? yoo jeongyeon has been annoying since day 1, and then jihyo got jealous of her with nayeon.

so trusting jeongyeon was a bit hard, getting to like her as well. but now jihyo just holds herself back really because she already likes jeongyeon a LOT and just hasn't realized it yet (perhaps she has and now she's just ignoring it like the stubborn puppy she can be)... i mean she loves jeongyeon's cuddles, her food, giving her kisses on the cheek and specifically being spoiled by her. jihyo LOVES the amount of praise she gets with jeongyeon.

and at some point though jihyo stops comparing her with nayeon bc we know nayeon is jihyo's definition of love and good but jeongyeon is perfect on her own.. jeongyeon is not like sana or momo or mina and certainly not like nayeon, and jihyo still finds herself seeking for jeongyeon's attention and the love she offers while nayeon isn't there to give it to her (properly)... and then, even after nayeon comes back jihyo will keep seeking for it because her heart is happy when she's next to jeongyeon 🥺

YOU NOTICE EVERY DETAIL THAT'S RLLY GRATIFYING FR. yes yes i HAD to talk about jihyo's hands, poor thing has to use both of them to resemble a single one of nayeon's hands, when that thought popped into my head i laughed too like i'm sorry puppy hyo but 😭 you're SMALL. jihyo is small everywhere but her dick and i totally agree w you she was made for nayeon!!! they're together by fate. hung needy puppy meets nayeon, size kink princess

when nayeon comes back things will get interesting in all the ways possible, but the most important thing is that at first nayeon won't leave bed until jihyo can't cum anymore. jihyo will see nayeon and the first thing that will pop in her head is breeding time 😭 she won't let nayeon leave their room until her balls are DRAINED. like if nayeon tries to leave, jihyo will keep a hand on her tummy and give her the most needy look nayeon has ever witnessed... and then of course nayeon can't bring herself to leave

apart from that, 3mix will finally become a thing and jeongyeon will find herself hanging out with nayeon and jihyo without samo more often and being around jihyo without their usual bickering (tbh it never really goes away bc that's jeonghyo. let's be real. but they'll bicker and then cuddle as if that never happened)

and sometimes when nayeon gets jealous of jihyo's sudden closeness with jeong, jeongyeon will just make her cuddle her too and quit sulking. she has two arms for a reason!!! one for jihyo and the other for nayeon!

anyways, great things are ahead of them and i can't wait to see the three together 🥺 when i open requests they'll most likely be established so i'm interested to see what you guys will want to see from them!

FUCK. (what a way to start an essay woah) THIS IS MY!!!!! FAVOURITE ACT OF ALTERING THE SOURCE MATERIAL AND IT SUCKS THAT PEOPLE JUST.... do not get it lol. it's an excellent addition and it says sooooo much if you read the text properly... let's look at it shall we:

the worst fate is to be a wife -> the worst fate is to live my life without you in it. she never confesses love!!!! she would... if they were still children. back when i love you only meant i love you ... when it could be something that was solely theirs!!!! she's not saying that she wants to marry him... she's just picking the lesser of what she considers to be two evils... and YEAH, it is a love story, her best friend is absolutely essential to her (which she knows now. that he's gone.) and she is lonely. and man the lifespan of this letter (it is alive to me ok) is simply devastating... it is kept alive in the mailbox laurie introduced, it is locked away thanks to the key laurie's gifted jo and her sisters (her sisters. the only force capable of overpowering jo's ambition). and that, to me, is the perfect metaphor for jo and laurie themselves... keeping each other alive, but at what cost... does the world you created protect you or cut you off from everything else (they are physically separated from everyone during the dance sequence... on the porch while life goes on) their friendship ridicules social norms and jo LOVES that, she loves seeing herself in laurie... and then. and then the person you thought shared your worldview is perfectly happy living the life both of you were supposed to be running away from... she literally tries to embody him here. (WEARING HIS CLOTHES IN THAT SCENE WITH BETH TOO!!!!!)

look at this progression:

they're practically sharing a face in the scene above vs the camera barely even lets them be in the same shot in the scene below and when it does there's a clear drift between them (excellent work with filters too. mwah), like they're not supposed to be in a room together (OBSESSED with how damn physical it all is and it's a FRIENDSHIP!!!! so punk, punk rock equivalent I AM RIGHT)... they embrace, but the focus is on each of their faces separately while the twin boys hug (jo sells her hair moment) from their youth does little to accent their individual features... their faces are mostly hidden...

she's not in love with him!!!!! the person who was supposed to be her equal in everything is just... not the same as her... what if she's the only one dreaming of far away places and pirate ships? well, for one... that would mean she's all alone. I'M NOT IN LOVE WITH YOU!!!! WE ARE JUST THE SAME!!!!! because of you i can love all the crooked parts of me. it's so fucked up actually lmaooo. back to the letter... THE DEATH SCENE (letters can die) look at the script, this fucking haunts me:

once it left the mailbox, the letter has to die... "she might end her suffering in the most tragic way - she leans towards the river"... just... the loss of friendship synchronized with physical impairment. it's all about the idealized world you've created in your head blending with the harsh version of reality you've also created in your head and resulting in The Unknown (the truth is always in the in-between) and jo wants the world to just ... stop altogether because of this... she can't get the bookish culmination of events, neither the fairytale nor the tragedy... she can't love laurie differently so no Happy Ending from her romance novels (she reads them!!!! we always forget it, but she loves romance novels!!!) and everything is so mind-numbingly passive so no Shakespearean Death... (i'd even argue that she doesn't end her suffering in the most tragic way because she finds her reality lacking in events that would support that sort of final act... also ties in to my thoughts on the movie's particular manner of storytelling! nothing Important ever happens, but lives keep on changing... amy march gets it!!!!) idk man... just. the letter. it's all about the letter.

HI SAMMY! First off, MID is probably my all-time favorite fanfiction, and I've read it a whopping 8 times so far. Every time I reread it, I find something new that I hadn't noticed before because of howbeautiful your writing is. With this one, you really outdid yourself!💜🤌 I won't even begin to ramble on about how excellent your drabbles are! I'm definitely a sucker for furious and jealous Tae🤠 (his small fight with Alex is one of my favorite sections of the series, LOL), so if it's okay, I wanted to ask you a quick question. How would Taehyung react if wifey presented a brand-new project that she had been diligently working on for months now (Taehyung is obviously biased because they share a home and he sees his wife and the mother of his firstborn spend so much time perfecting everything on her drawing iPad.) However, he is also her boss and must maintain objectivity. As a result, he invites a few other people to the meeting, and they are immediately disrespectful by dismissing her ideas and other things. Taehyung is therefore astonished when one of the guys yawns and complains that since she is his wife, the project will be approved nevertheless. Just try to imagine how angry Tae would get at that guy, he knows how hard his wife has worked on this, so I can only imagine how furious that would make him.

Oop not san fucking up 😭. I am still in awe of how you write dream sequences. Like if this whole update was just the dream I would be totally satisfied that shit was so immersive. I could feel every detail and every sensation I was like "damn did it have to end?" And I love that every dream and fantasy scene manages to take on a new angle and feel so fresh and new like omg how are you doing that?

But of course, the sweetness with mingi, is just so nice to see. The different ways intimacy is portrayed in this is so engaging to see. Like yes all of them love her, but they display it in different ways and there's different nuances to it. Some a bit more spicy, some a bit more sweet, and I love that all of those dynamics are getting their time to shine. This part was just so perfect and so sweet, with the subtle intimacy. And ngl I squealed when she called him her moonlight like omg I feel just as excited as them when mc opens up more and showcases her love.

This is purely me, but I can't wait for when one of them goes down on her for the first time. I already know that shit is gonna be absolutely mindblowing, just being able to purely focus on her in such a way. The passion and attentive care would both be on display, mingling with the curiosity of learning all the different ways to please their queen gah I CANT WAIT.

You would not believe how much fun I had writing literally any of the parts where they were all basically close enough to touch but still so far apart that anything could happen to prevent the reunions. Pining in a completely different sense of the word there: a nice fun, obsessive, desperate pining where they're willing to do whatever and kill whoever it takes as long as they're back together. They can ALL do some murder, as a treat <3 They deserve that much I think lmao

And man, that whole name scene? From the very beginning I knew that Chris was gonna (unintentionally) distract her with her name until she couldn't take it anymore and finally interrupt him. But that whole 'holy' line? Yeah that one came out of left field for even me alskdjlaksjd Vividly remembering writing that bit and going 'oh shit, that's fucking good I am so good at this shit'... before immediately tearing out my hair for the next and calling myself a fraud probably not even thirty seconds later SDFKLJSDFJ

And that whole 'kicked out of the polycule' line? That was the one single line I had had planned out since I started writing this one like two years ago. And yet, the line had originally been a JOSH line. Delivered flatly and sarcastically and all. But when I finally got to writing that last scene in question, I started second guessing myself and wondered if it was a Chris line instead. In the end, the only reason I went with the Chris-delivery though was simply because I liked how bittersweet it would be if the line was met with not a short and tired snort, but the first time any of them had a chance for some genuine full-bodied laughter before the tears finally came on once the reality hit.

(Also, if do end up doing something with the whole "If Chris kissed Ashley, could he say he Chrissed her?" dream line than you have only yourself to blame. Gonna make you rage quit in the beginning of a fic if your not careful ;P)

You were not looking forward to your new work schedule for the next month. 

The employee who usually came in for opening shifts at four in the morning gave her two weeks notice...two weeks ago. And since you had your availability open (you knew you should’ve blocked it off and said you had morning class), your manager asked you to fill her place. 

The night before your first—of many—morning shifts, you tried tricking yourself into thinking it was a good idea. And it almost worked! Sort of. 

You told yourself waking up early when the sun rose worked with your body’s natural circadian rhythm and this experience may adjust your sleep schedule for a healthier one in the long run. Better health and wellbeing and lower risks of cardiovascular disease. Or something. You weren’t too sure exactly; you never paid much attention in biology but it sounded like something you’d find in a textbook, right?

When you arrived on your first day, the morning shift was just as hectic and chaotic as you expected. People in business suits with name brand bluetooth earphones in their ears and the latest new smartphone in their hand filled the shop and waited for their online order. It was as if they wanted the least amount of social interaction possible, which would be fine if being able to make connections with customers wasn’t the most interesting part about being a barista. 

Although the cafe you worked at was a small business who actually (tried) to pay their employees fairly and wasn’t a purely money hungry franchise like the certain green siren, it surprisingly had gained enough traction in the area to rival one of those cheap, chain stores. 

Good for the business, bad for sleepy workers who could barely function in the mornings.

But you enjoyed working here and the owners were kind, so you did your best to shove away the tiredness and put a bright and cheery smile on your face. The customers were grumpier than you were used to, but who wouldn’t be a little ill-mannered having to go to work at 5 a.m. and probably not leaving until 6 p.m. or later because of bosses who overworked them? Trying to get them their morning coffee with an amiable attitude to start off their day right was something you were more than happy to do. 

It was too bad barely any of them gave you the time of day. They just wanted to get their caffeine and leave with as little human interaction as possible. It was understandable, of course, but it wasn’t the lively cafe environment you were used to during later shifts. You sighed, hoping the atmosphere would be friendlier when it wasn’t a major rush hour. 

“Hi! I can help the next person in line,” you called for the twentieth time this hour. When they moved forward towards the cash register, you gave them a smile. “Good morning. I hope your day has been going well!”

“It’s been okay, thank you. And yours?”

Your eyes widened in surprise and you almost sputtered over thin air. Someone who actually replied back to what you said and asked about you in return? Even if the intent was a courtesy conversation that was meant to be quick and brief, the sentiment was there—the upholding of the values of common courtesy and human decency. Something too many people seemed to lack. 

“I’m good as well! A little tired but what’s to be expected a quarter ‘til 6 a.m.?” you said with a laugh. “Thank you for asking.”

The customer gave a small smile in return and you internally celebrated for finally seeing your first pleasant expression this morning. “Must be even more tiring dealing with all these people. Doesn’t seem easy. I have to commend you for it.”

He was a tall, handsome man with a pretty face, soft-looking hair, and genuinely nice? There was no way this was real; you had to be dreaming. 

You twiddled with the pen in your hands, taken aback and mildly embarrassed by the praise. “Just doing my job,” you said with a bashful look. “Thank you, though.” You cleared your throat, not wanting to hold the line up for too long, even if the customer was one you would rather keep talking to than the others. “Now, what can I get started for you today?”

“Right. Can I get a flat white in the medium size?” 

“Of course.” You typed in his order into the register before asking, “And is there anything else I can get for you? Like a pastry? Today we have some freshly baked cheese danishes that are really yummy if you’d like to try!” 

He thought for a while before shrugging. You weren’t sure if it was your eyes playing tricks on you or he actually had an amused look on his face. “Sure, I’ll take a couple dozen of those as well.” 

“A couple dozen—?” your voice faltered. The suggestion of a fresh pastry was one you made to almost every customer, though most turned it down on the spot. 

The cafe had a little weekly competition between workers to see who could sell the most pastries in the week and the one who sold most got...well, a free pastry and bragging rights. Admittedly, it wasn’t much, but nothing revved up sales like friendly rivalries. An order of a couple dozen was sure to land you in the top spot this week! Still, you had to make sure he meant it. You’d feel bad if he was just spending all his hard-earned office work money because he was trying to be courteous. (Or at least, you assumed he was some office employee.) 

You cautiously asked, “Are you sure?”

Either your eyes were playing tricks on you yet again, or the look of amusement on his face grew even more than before as he said, “I’m sure. One medium flat white and, say, three dozen boxes of cheese danishes, please.” 

“C-Coming right up!” you said, quickly entering his order and celebrating your free end-of-the-week pastry in advance. “That will be $42.81. Would that be card or cash?” 

“Card.” He pulled out a sleek, black card with gold detailings on it and you never knew you could be sexually attracted to a credit card until now. 

“Perfect! Go ahead and swipe, insert, or scan your card now. In the meantime, can I get a name for your order please?” 

He scanned his card over the machine before looking back up at you. “It’s To— Ah, Shouto.” 

“Shouto?” you asked in confirmation. You assumed it wasn’t ‘Toahshouto’. That sounded too much like the abbreviation used to remember how to find sine, cosine, and tangent.

“Yeah. Shouto.” 

You smiled. “Well, Shouto, your order will be ready in a few minutes. Please wait over to your right to pick it up!”

He nodded. 

“It was nice meeting you!” you called, waving goodbye. “I hope you have a good rest of your day.”

“Thank you,” he glanced at your nametag, “Y/N.” 

Oh, how nice it felt to be treated like a human by a customer and have them actually address your name— And not to say it in a condescending way either. 

“Do individual baristas get to keep the tips here?”

You blinked, feeling your face warm up slightly. “We do, actually.” One of your favorite parts of the job, you had to admit. 

“Glad to hear.” Shouto pulled out some crisp-looking bills from his wallet and placed one in your hand that said ‘100’ to you. “Thank you for your kind service, Y/N.” 

“Wha—” Your eyes widened. You were expecting something along the line of three dollars. Maybe five at most. But a hundred? By the time you had processed what had happened he was walking away from the cash register. “Wait— Shouto...sir! I think you accidentally gave me the wrong amount.” 

He shook his head, only briefly turning back to face you. “Nope. It’s for you,” he said simply. “I’m looking forward to the cheese danishes.” 

His words left you stunned, but the next customer in line tapped their foot impatiently, signaling it was now time for you to take their order. You hoped the line died down before Shouto left the cafe so you could return the tip, but seeing as how the queue almost extended out the door, you had the sinking feeling that wouldn’t be a possibility. 

“Hello, I can take the next customer in line!” you recited cheerfully, mind still occupied by thoughts of your last encounter. 

The next few orders went along uneventfully (though you did manage to sell two more cheese danishes) and by the time Shouto got his coffee and pastry boxes, you still had a handful more customers to get through. 

“Pardon me real quick,” you said apologetically to the woman in front of you. “Please give me one moment?” 

She graced you with a nod and you thanked the stars above for an understanding patron. 

“Wait— Excuse me, sir!” You waved in Shouto’s direction before he could exit the cafe. He glanced at you curiously but walked over. In a hushed voice, you said, “I really appreciate the tip, but there’s no way I could accept this much money from you!” 

For the first time today, you say the hints of a frown on his face. “You cannot?” 

“No! $100 is a lot! You already bought $40 worth of cheese danish pastries— Are you sure you meant to give that big of a tip?”

“Of course.” He took a sip of his coffee with a satisfied hum. “You getting up at such an early hour to take people’s orders with a kind attitude isn’t easy. Plus, trying to build rapport with each of them all while keeping the interacting swift is a difficult task itself. And it’s probably worth more than your current pay, the $100 tip, and then some.” 

You blinked, stunned by his words. This man kept surprising you so many times in just one morning. 

“I find it ridiculous how certain occupations are paid an ungodly amount more than others, especially when a lot of it comes from privileges you were born into.” Shouto seemed to mumble the last bit to himself, but you were still able to understand what he said. “It’s bullshit.” Before you could respond, he recollected himself. “Eat the rich, right? All that to say, please accept the tip. You deserve it. And I promise it’s of no detriment to me, so please don’t feel bad.”

Seeing the determined look on his face, you couldn’t help but stare at him before nodding. He didn’t say anything you didn’t already believe yourself, and if someone really wanted to give you $100, you weren’t going to fight them on it. Think of all the dumplings you could buy, you told yourself.

“T-Thank you then.” You gingerly placed the folded bill back into your pants pocket. “I think that was really insightful of you and I’m very grateful.”

“Don’t worry about it.” He smiled before glancing towards the exit. “I’m running a bit late for work now, so I should be going. Have a good day, Y/N.”

“You too, Shouto. And… Thank you again!”

With a glowing expression on your face, you walked back to the cash register ready to face the day and talk to more lovely customers!

“Hey, little barista!” a gruff voice called from the line, snapping you out of your stupor. “Hurry it up already before you force me to complain to your manager.” 

You internally sighed. You understood they were in a rush, but they still had no right to be that rude. 

“Can you even hear me? Or are you too incompetent?”

Cue another internal sigh. 

Yeah, okay. Maybe you did deserve this $100 tip.

Regardless of the rude customers that may have come in, at least you had your thoughts of a cute, kind businessman who went by the name of Shouto to get you through your shift. And you could only hope you’d be able to see him again.
