I get asked about Beddy Bye Eyes a lot, how the eye sockets work and what they look like on the inside. Here is an example if you are curious, the second image I put my camera lens up to the inside of the head so you can see into there. The Eye sockets are like a little bubble that's been molded into the plastic itself, and its big enough to fit the eye mechanism.

When people usually remove the eyes (shudders to think about it) They either force the eyes out through the front or use a tool to go inside the pony, cut the back of the eye sockets, and pull the eyes out that way. If you pull the eyes out from the front there is a great risk of damaging the eyelid or face area.

Here is an example of a damaged BBE face, they often have cracks or dent in the plastic if there is too much force applied. I do not actually know if this Lofty has had her eyes removed or not, but that's the type of damage you see on BBES that have had eyes too forcefully removed. This Lofty is also one of my BBEs where that specific eye is offset in the the eyesocket, making it so that eye has a tendency to become cross eyed. For the record that can also happen in ponies with undamaged faces, but this lofty is the example I own where the crosseye is the most obvious because I believe it's due to when her face got damaged.

Anyways, there is a lot of readily available information online about removing beddy bye eyes (as most people dislike them and want to sculpt over their eyes with clay to make them non bbe) but there isn't as much readily available information about fixing their eyes or giving them new eyes. However, all that really needs to be done is for replacement eyes (either bought, borrowed from another doll, or homemade using something like resin or clay) to be inserted properly into the head. This can likely be done the same way people safely remove the eyes: By cutting the socket through the back and inserting the eyes that way

I cannot claim to be an expert (I have not yet gotten the chance to experiment much with eye replacement) But I am an avid BBE fan and I plan on posting more about how their eye sockets work, researching into making or buying them eye replacements, and trying to make tutorials as to how to go about replacing the eyes if you want to save a baby with no eyes/damaged eyes :3

Lofty the crane was just about done with his day. He was going to take a rest until a pale yellow feather dropped on his nose and startled him.

Lofty shivered, then turned around. "Who- who are you?" he asked worriedly. A pony with tiny wings was flying above him, giggling.

"Your name is Lofty?" she asked. "My name is Lofty too!"

"H-how do you know me?"

"That construction guy Bob told me all about you and your friends! He says you're reliable and that you can fix it! I'm reliable too!"

Lofty liked watching the pastel horse float around. He loved animals very much.

"What can you do?" he asked.

"I know how to operate a hot-air balloon." Lofty answered. She put her hooves down on the ground. The anthropomorphic crane stroked the pony's fur with his hook.

"Oh, you are so soft, little horsey!" he whispered. Her fur was plushy and good to the touch.

So-Soft Lofty wiggled her snout a bit. "Would you like me to show you my hot-air balloon?" she asked.

"Uh, no thank you," declined Lofty the crane. "I'm scared of heights."

So, the two Loftys played together until dusk. The End!

Some things have beauty even if they aren't perfect. Flowers may wilt, ponies may rust. But you can still find their colors, textures, form as sometbing pretty.

okay im debating how i want to do flight reps in the revamp. i think i want 10 mages as like the ppl who work at the highland sanctum and Specifically lean into a wizard aesthetic. but i think itd be cool to also have warrior counterparts, but that does mean im setting aside 20 slots for reps ans idk if thats worth it Or if it makes sense. itll likely be a mix of them tho really

the other thing im undecided on is whether or not to use "native" dragon breeds for them (pearlcatcher for light, guardian for water, etc) or do a fun reversal of like. determining which are opposites and making the rep one of those. i also could pick a cool fest skin and build a dragon around that--ive always wanted to use that wind fest skin that makes the head a fox, that could be a fun way to tie in beastclans.

my junior year of highschool i learned nothing in math because i was constantly on ebay scavenging for the best deals on gen 1 my little pony toys and the teacher was super non confrontational about it then durring finals it hit me in the head i hadnt been learning anything all year so i stayed up late as hell studying for math and chem which i had on the same day but on the day of my final the power went out and we didnt have to finish it. i never learned my lesson and still buy random shit on ebay in the middle of important events

I think the mother and her daughter dynamic in G1 is so incredibly wholesome and heartwarming. It really does give a sense of healing to watch and see the baby ponies have such caring mothers, it's such a positive role model to children to have such a subtle but healthy family dynamic.

Bright Lights and A Little Piece Of Magic are some of my favorite episodes for this reason! You can see the pure anger and urge to protect in the faces of Lofty and Heart Throb from the Bright Lights episode - how dare someone hurt their babies!!! There's really no rage like a momma who's protecting her baby!!! 🥹

And A Little Piece of Magic oh I could go on and on about how much I love this episode, there isn't any big plot, no monster to fight, just baby ponies discovering the power of imagination! That screencap is from when Baby Ribbon tried to wink out (disappear with magic) and failed so Ribbon stepped in and guided her! It's just so wholesome and sweet 🩷
