It's... a... Logistical nightmare, Tryin' to get there; With family everywhere,  From coast to coast. Jumpin' a jet plane, Hoppin' a freight train, Traffic is insane; I hate packin' the most, the most; I hate packin; the most.

If I could just get off of the L.A. freeway, Get through the line for the airport x-ray, And get back in time for work the next day; Is it worth all this stress? It happens this time every year, Still, nobody ever gets any nearer, We all need our space, it couldn't be much clearer; This family is a mess.

What to with do with the family pet? How many times will I hear, "Are we there yet?"? A dozen? More? I won't take that bet; And what's the weather gonna be? Will Annie make it in on time? If she's late, Mom'll make it a crime, What's gonna happen? I guess that I'm Gonna have to wait and see.

I think it's interesting that the Watcher's only other life mentioned in canon is the one with Iovara. I mean, it's probably just to keep things simple in an already-complex plot but I think they should have like 15 past lives all competing for dominance. All the different dialogue options you get in the game should be various past lives giving the Watcher dialogue suggestions based on their own dispositions. The Watcher sees Maerwald struggling with the cacophony of his Awakened soul and is like "RIP to that guy but we're different :) --wait, who said that."

Me: Huh, wouldn’t it be interesting if Bruce wasn’t actually Damien’s Dad, Talia just said that because she wanted it to be true?

My Brain: You gotta think bigger

Me: What do you mean?

My Brain: Make Jason his dad

Me: WAIT WHAT???? Why?? How would that even work???

My Brain: Damien’s a tube baby who was artificially aged, so he could really be any age. You could have a chronically eight year old Damien who got boosted about four years in development speed running toddler hood and a 24 year old Jason. Due to the floaty time line, in some cases Jason was Canonically around when he was a baby AND “slept” with Talia, even if the ethics aren’t exactly ethic-ing and Jason wasn’t exactly in his right mind.

Me: why would Talia keep him though? Why not just clone Bruce’s DNA and work that way?

My brain: And? What if that wasn’t working? Cloning isn’t exactly a simple process, taking a fetus and putting it in an artificial womb, while extremely difficult, seems like an inherently easier option that creating artificial sperm outta someone’s loose hair. If that’s not working, Jason is automatically the ideal donor situationally.

Me: Wouldn’t Bruce figure this out basically right away when he ran his own DNA test? How could he possibly not know?

My Brain: Well, Talia does know how to get into the cave, has basically the ultimate distraction in the form of Damien trying to kill Tim, and wants this really bad. She could, either herself or a spy, change the results either by switching the samples or by altering the results in the computer. Bruce would be too distracted to notice there was some bullshit happening and, having already been given the positive results from Talia directly, just accepted Damien was his.

Me: alright, seems contrived but ok. How’d they find out then?

My Brain: Tim decided to reenter the DNA samples into a program designed specifically for identifying potential relatives for members of the JL + known enemies and associates. At first he thought he had just accidentally switched Bruce and Jason’s samples but noticed that, wait, the computer was correctly connecting Bruce with Kate, so he decided to run his own test. And run it. A few dozen times on a few dozen different machines. He even got DNA from Jason’s bio parents by digging up their corpses so he could run to see if Damien was related to them. So he’s kinda forced to come to one conclusion. He confronted Jay about this mess only for him to turn around and insist on hiring a somebody to run another independent test to ensure this wasn’t Tim’s idea of a prank. Now they’ve got a situation where they need to figure out what to do with this horrifically messed up new situation they’ve been wrangled into.

If the QSMP is truly winding down for real now, what I think should happen is that a final movie night be organized.

Someone jumps in the discord and invites every cc involved in the project.

Invite the canonically-dead-character ccs, the purgatory 2 competitors, the Koreans, Hugo, the ice chamber islanders, the French, the Brazilians, the original islanders (minus a couple of ccs, for obvious reasons).

And then just have a party.

A last hurrah, ending with a fucking massive movie screening, showcasing the sheer talent of our animatic community - and making everyone cry.

If closure in regards to many of our characters is pretty much impossible with how everything turned out, maybe we could have this instead.
