Okay, That's It

Request: hii! i have a request for a fan fic abt dean ♡ so basically reader and dean are really good friends (they've had crushes on each other for years now) and basically, the reader.. wasn't doing well for months and dean noticed that. and one day he's like "that's it" and asks her about it. after some time she just breaks down in front of him and asks him for a simple hug.

"You all like [Y/N], right?" Dean asked the room. He was currently reclining on an armchair in his Dean Cave, just finishing up a movie night with Sam, Cas, and Jack.

"Of course", Sam said as he started to gather up the empty packets from all of their movie snacks.

"Yes, she is very good at researching and has proven to be a valuable asset on some of our cases", Cas nodded.

"I haven't met her, but from what I've heard, I think I'd like her", Jack smiled back at Dean.

"Why?" Sam asked, pausing his tidying to listen to what Dean had to say. He knew Dean liked [Y/N], as in liked liked her, but he also knew that Dean wasn't about to ask for everyone's opinions on whether he should finally ask her out or not.

"I was just thinking that maybe she could stay here for awhile. I mean, you're right Cas, she's great at research, so imagine what she could do with all of the bunker's books at her finger tips?"

"That makes sense", Cas said.

"You want her to move in with us so she can do research?" Sam raised an eyebrow at him. [Y/N] had quite a lot of the bunker's books on loan at her own place, Dean had even made her a library card as a joke once. She lived quite a long drive away from the bunker, but on gaps between hunts, Dean was quick to volunteer to drive books to her that he thought she might find useful. They'd met a couple of years previous when they'd rescued her from a wendigo that she'd been 'researching' just a little bit too closely. Her research notes had impressed the boys, and they'd called her on their next hunt to ask if she'd ever dealt with vodníci before. Surprisingly, she had very useful notes on how to free the souls that the vodníci had trapped, and the Winchesters were able to save everyone as a result. Ever since then, they'd called her whenever they faced a monster that they were unfamiliar with. She usually had useful knowledge on it.

However, Sam had noticed that Dean had taken to calling and texting her on every hunt, finding some sort of excuse to ask for her help. He'd called him out on it several months ago when Dean had asked her for help with a werewolf case. Dean had tried to defend himself by telling Sam that you can never be too careful, and that it might not be a normal werewolf, but Sam just found it amusing. Dean had progressed to calling and texting her in between hunts, under the pretence that he had a research question, but then letting the conversation morph into non-supernatural topics. They'd become closer, or at least he felt so, and as a result, Dean knew that there was something off with her for the last month or so. She'd been taking longer to answer his texts, she'd been quieter on phone calls, and the last time he drove to her house, just a week ago, she hadn't invited him in to talk about the books like she usually had. He was worried.

"Yeah", he shrugged. "Don't you feel like this team is one person short? I mean, Cas, you're not always around. And Jack, you're still learning. Sam, you're good at research, but you can't research well when we're out hunting something. If [Y/N] was officially on our team and lived here, then we could really rely on her while we're out there".

"Yeah.. but doesn't she have a job, Dean? In her own town? I thought she worked in a community college?" Sam asked.

"Yeah. Yeah, she does", Dean sighed, before pushing himself up out of the chair. "Well, goodnight". He grabbed a couple of unopened snacks before leaving the room without another word. Sam chuckled as he finished tidying up, and both Cas and Jack looked at him with confused expressions.

"What's funny?" Cas asked, and Sam chuckled more at their cluelessness.

"Dean.. he uh, he likes [Y/N]".

"Yes, how is that funny?"

"No, like he likes her, as in has a crush on her".

"Oh", Jack nodded in understanding. "Is that why he wants her to move here?"

"Yep", Sam smacked his 'p', showing off his dimples in the process. "But don't mention it to him, he'll get embarrassed. If he brings up [Y/N] again, just pretend you don't know about his crush on her". He also happened to know that [Y/N] had a crush on Dean. He'd seen their interactions over the years and could tell that they both wanted the other, but she was too shy and Dean didn't believe that someone like her could want someone like him. Sam was hopeful now that Dean was thinking of asking to move in, that he might becoming open to the idea of admitting his feelings for her.

"Hi, Dean". Jack smiled as he walked into the bunker's library the next morning. "What are you looking for?"

"Hey kid. Uh, just something interesting". Dean had several cardboard boxes full of books up on the table, books that weren't used regularly enough to take up space on the shelves. He didn't think that any of them had even opened these boxes before.

"For [Y/N]?" Jack asked as he walked over to stand beside Dean and looked at the pile that Dean had made so far.

"Yeah, yeah I'm gonna go see her".

"Again?"

"Yeah, Jack. Again. When you have friends, you can see them more than once a month if you want to". Dean was not in a good mood. He'd texted [Y/N] after his movie night the night before but she hadn't responded. She'd seen it, so he knew she was alive, but she hadn't replied. He'd messaged her again that morning and tried to call, but she hadn't answered again. He'd left a voicemail, making up something on the spot about how he'd found an interesting book in the bunker and that he'd drive it over to her, so now he was stressed, trying to find a book that was interesting enough to serve as his excuse.

"Are you going to ask her to move in here?" Jack asked and Dean sighed, running his hand down his face in frustration.

"I don't know, Jack. What's with all the questions?"

"I'd just like to meet her", he shrugged and Dean sighed, feeling a little guilty for being short with Jack when he hadn't done anything wrong.

"Yeah. She'd like you", Dean chuckled, imagining [Y/N] dealing with Jack's 50,000 questions.

"Oh", Jack scrunched up his face. "But she should like you, not me".

"You can like more than two people, Jack. You like all of us, don't you?"

"No!" Jack quickly responded. "I don't have a crush on anyone", he shook his head.

"What? Who said anything about a crush?" Dean leaned away from the table and crossed his arms, frowning at Jack.

"Sam said", Jack froze, remembering his instructions not to bring it up, and he quickly cleared his throat. "Nothing. Sam didn't say anything, I.. I just got mixed up". He nodded, happy with his explanation, and slowly and awkwardly stepped away from Dean before turning around and walking out of the room. Dean stared after him, wondering what exactly Sam had said to him, then continued searching until he found a book that listed several creatures and artefacts he'd never heard of before.

Dean was nervous when he got to [Y/N]'s front door. He was always a little bit nervous going to see her, but this time he was worried on top of it. He didn't know if she was even going to answer the door, considering she still hadn't responded to his texts or voicemail. He had his excuse tucked under his arm, and he took a deep breath to make himself relax. He told himself he was being stupid, he shouldn't be worked up about going to visit a friend. He was Dean Winchester. Monsters, demons, even angels were scared of him, he shouldn't be scared of a woman who he happens to be attracted to. He shook his head and forced himself to ring her doorbell. When he didn't get any response, he knocked on the door and tried to peer through a small window beside the door.

"[Y/N]?" He called out as he knocked on the door again. "Come on, open up, I know you're in there. It's Dean". He continued to knock until he heard the door unlock on the inside, and it slowly opened to reveal [Y/N], though he took a moment to recognise her. She had bags under her eyes, her hair was a mess, and she'd almost definitely been crying. She didn't open the door fully, just enough for her to stare straight ahead at his chest, avoiding eye contact. His gaze softened as he took in her appearance. He mentally scolded himself for not getting her to let him in the last time he visited. He knew something was wrong and he'd let it go on for too long. He wasn't good with feelings, or emotional conversations, but he wasn't going to let her be alone any longer like this.

"Okay, that's it. You're gonna open the door, you're gonna let me in, and then you're going to tell me what's going on with you. Got it?" She nodded slowly, still not looking at him, but opened the door wider, stepping aside and quickly wrapping her arms around herself in a weak attempt to hide her appearance. Dean wasted no time in stepping forward and closing the door behind him. He looked down at her and put a hand on her shoulder, but she didn't look up at him. He gently squeezed her shoulder before letting go, and hooked his finger under her chin to pull her face up, making her look at him. "Can we sit down somewhere and talk?" He asked and she nodded, pulling away from him and walking into her kitchen, where she sat down at the table. He followed her in and set the book down on the table before sitting down opposite her. "Okay, go on". He nodded at her and she took a deep, but shaky breath.

"I got fired".

"What? When?"

"About six weeks ago", she sniffed. Dean knew how much she loved her job, so it made sense to him now why she was so upset. He didn't know why she hadn't told him though.

"Why? They couldn't have someone better than you". He reached over to grab her hand, and she squeezed it in a thank you.

"I kind of missed a few days. I got caught up in researching Garth's vegetarian werewolves a couple of months ago. I lost track of time and when they called to ask where I was, I panicked and made up some stupid excuse that they didn't buy. They said that was my first and only warning. Then I.. I kind of did it again six weeks ago, I just got caught up on a research trip and didn't have cell service so I couldn't let them know that I wasn't going to make it to work. They fired me when I was finally able to call them back the next day".

"Shit... I'm so sorry [Y/N]", he squeezed her hand comfortingly. "Why didn't you tell me?"

She looked up at him at this, slightly confused. "I didn't think you cared that much about my personal life. We usually just talk about research". She wiped her sleeve against her eyes as a few tears had escaped during her explanation. "And I didn't really want to tell anyone, I don't like people knowing that I'm struggling".

"Of course I care about your personal life. You've become a good friend of mine", he shook his head. "You can always tell me about anything that you're struggling with. You've really taken this job loss hard, haven't you?"

She shrugged and looked away from him. "It didn't exactly pay a lot", she took her hand away from him and wrapped her arms around herself again. "It wasn't really enough to save much. I'm running out of money and I haven't been able to find another job, this is a small town".

Dean leaned back in his chair. He felt sad for her, he knew that she had loved her job, but he couldn't help but see this as a good thing for his desire for her move in with him, one less obstacle in the way. He knew that was selfish, so he quickly pushed that though to the back of his head as she continued. "I just feel so lost. I don't know what I'm supposed to do", she wiped away another tear. "I'm not going to be able to pay my rent this month, and I don't have any family, I have nothing now". The last part of her sentence was slightly difficult to hear as she started to cry, and Dean's heart broke for her. "I'm sorry", she whispered.

"Hey, no. It's okay, you don't have to be sorry. Do you want me to get you a glass of water? Or anything?"

"Could you..." She sniffed and then shook her head. "I mean, no thank you, I'm okay". The tears that continued to stream down her cheeks did not agree with her words.

"You're not okay, what were you going to ask me for just there? Anything you want, just name it, I can get it for you". He stood up and stepped around the table before kneeling beside her. He took her hand and rested it on her lap, pulling her around to look down at him.

"I was going to ask for a hug".

Dean looked up at her and smiled. She sounded so innocent, she was such a nice light in his world. "Come here then". He stood up and pulled her up with him, immediately pulling her into his chest. She wrapped her arms around his waist and he could feel her take a deep breath against his flannel. He pressed his lips into her hair before resting his chin on the top of her head. He held her tight, wanting her to feel secure in his arms. They stood there for several moments, and Dean closed his eyes, letting himself enjoy their closeness.

After her breathing became less shaky, he gently moved his hands up to her shoulders and pulled back from her a little bit. "[Y/N], I uh, I actually wanted to ask you something. And before you say anything, I decided to ask you this before now, you can ask Sam, I talked about it with him and the others back in the bunker last night, so this isn't me trying to give you a handout or anything". She looked up to him a look of confusion.

"What were you going to ask?"

Dean gulped and scratched the stubble on his jaw nervously before brushing a tear off her chin. "I was going to ask if you wanted to try staying at the bunker for awhile, like if you wanted to try being on Team Free Will on a more full time basis. The research you do... [Y/N] it's so valuable to the world, and you're not paid anything for it. You shouldn't have to keep a low paying job just to support your research. I know you liked your job, but I also know you love your research even more. You can't give that up, not for anything. You save people with it". She gave him a small smile, and he smiled back before continuing. "You know my friend Charlie, right? I've told you about her? Well, she gave me and Sam a hacked credit card. We don't have to worry about money at all. And, we have a bunch of rooms in the bunker that you could choose from, and a seemingly endless supply of research material", he chuckled at her as her eyes widened at his offer. "What do you think? I mean, if you don't like it, you can always leave, but would you be interested?"

She blinked up at him, not responding at all, and he could feel his cheeks heat up in embarrassment. 'Of course she wouldn't want to come live with a bunch of hunters in a windowless bunker', he thought to himself. 'She probably doesn't even think of me as a friend, she probably helps out a load of different hunters. Why the hell did I think I was in any way special? Idiot'.

"Okay", her voice was quiet but it pulled him from his thoughts, and now he was the one blinking at her.

"Okay?" He asked, slightly unsure about whether he'd heard her correctly or not.

"If you're sure you don't mind, I'd really like to join the team and see what it's like... you said you talked to Sam about it, does he mind? Do the others mind? I don't want to encroach on their space if they don't want me there".

"[Y/N], I can assure you, they'd love to have you there. I think you'd be a huge help on our cases".

"Then... okay", she breathed out.

He grinned at her and she smiled back at him, feeling excitement instead of sadness for the first time in six weeks. He pulled her back into a hug and then chuckled. "I have to warn you, Jack really wants to meet you, but he's going to have a million questions for you. And we also have a movie night at least once a week, we take turns choosing so you'll have to suffer through one of Sam's choices every four... no, now every five weeks. Yeah, we definitely need you on the team".

AWFC x English-Italian Reader - Chapter 2

Summary: Reader is dealing with the effects of their concussion

A/N: Sorry for taking ages, i was productive today so here is chapter 2. Do i hate it.. kinda. also to make it clear, the reader takes more medication than needed because they forgot they were taking them due to memory loss. also if you wanna chat abt anything i've written, my asks are always open. Also not proof read

It has only gone downhill since your conversation with Leah. You were only able to talk to her because the effects of the medications they had used to stabilize you hadn’t fully worn off yet. But once they did, the doctors refused to give you more. You weren’t new to concussions, and you knew that they weren’t going to give you anything because they needed to monitor your symptoms, but the pain had never been this bad. The smallest amount of light or sound would make it feel as though you were being stabbed right through your frontal lobe. 

Your teammates tried to help by being there for you, but they were doing everything but helping. They would always seem to make your pain worse, and you hated it. There was a big part of you there that wanted your chosen family to be there right by your side, to make you feel better like they had last year when you got COVID. But you couldn’t take them right now. It hurt you too much to tell them to their face, so you had the nurses and medical staff prevent them from visiting you.

The only good thing to come from your self-imposed isolation was that none of them knew of your diagnosis.

“I don’t want you to get too alarmed, but based on your current symptoms and seizure, it’s looking ever more likely that it will be too dangerous to continue playing football.” The doctor had informed you once that you were able to communicate without being in total agony. 

You stayed silent; you did know what to say.

“It's not a definite conclusion, but we have to consider the severity of your symptoms and the potential risks involved,” the doctor continued. “We will monitor your condition closely, but I want you to understand that there's a real possibility that returning to the game could pose serious health risks, both in the short and long term.”

You stayed silent, absorbing the weight of the doctor's words.

The doctor's words felt like an assault on your very existence. Football wasn't just a game; it was your lifeblood, the essence of who you were. It was the only thing keeping you going at times.

Only a few days before Christmas were you discharged from the hospital. All the older teammates offered you a place to stay. Viv and Beth were the first.

"Look, I know you might not want to burden anyone, but we're a team. We look out for each other," Beth said, concern etched on her face as she walked beside you. 

“Our guest room is always open to you." Viv continued

Leah had offered the same. And you gave them all the same bullshit story. 

“Guys, I’ll be fine. My parents are coming to take care of me. They’ll be here tomorrow. Go enjoy your holidays.” 

“If you ever need anything, don’t be afraid to ask. We’re all here for you if you need us.” Kim said. 

Part of you really wanted their help. Part of you wished they would force you to stay at their houses. But the part that was against it was stronger. 

When you finally got home, there was no one waiting for you. You sort of chuckled to yourself. Your parents were never going to come take care of you, but your teammates didn’t know that. Your parents weren’t bad people, but you hadn’t left it off on the best of terms. It all started when you were young, you hung out with the ‘wrong kind of people’, you got into a lot of trouble, and you did bad things. As young as 13, you would go out late at night with your friends and sneak into abandoned buildings or construction sites to drink and smoke. In your mind, these were the nights of your life. Your parents were quite absent from your life; they were far more interested in their businesses and enterprises, and those people took an interest in you. They wanted you around; they could make you feel like you belonged.

It took you being arrested for being drunk, disorderly, and almost OD’ing for them to figure out you’d been sneaking out for over a year. That was the first time you’d really disappointed them. 

Only a few months later, you’d disappoint them again after you had taken up drinking again, this time with a new group of people. That’s when they started to realize that you might be the problem. 

The final nail in the coffin came when you decided to sign with Arsenal. Your parents couldn’t understand why you’d ever do such a thing. They only saw it as another stupid mistake to add to your long list. They could have stopped you, but at that point, they didn’t care anymore. Only a week after you’d signed, they’d fully moved to Milan.

The first few days at home were fine; at least that’s what you thought. You were on track, you took your medications every day, and you didn’t put too much strain on yourself. You ate healthy and went on walks. You were ready to do anything to get back to the sport you loved. Anything. 

It was the day before Christmas Eve when you realized your 10-day supply of medications was almost done. You couldn’t believe it; you had taken the correct amount every day, or at least that’s what you remembered. 

You thought you could do it. You thought you could make it through the holidays without medication, but you were wrong—so very wrong. The days stretched out in a seemingly never-ending cycle of pain. The relentless headaches intensified, and you weren’t able to cope with the unmedicated effects of a concussion this severe. 

You tried to reach out to the pharmacy, hoping for an early refill or something to manage your symptoms, but the holidays meant it was closed. You debated calling your teammates, even getting as close as dialing Beth’s number, but as the phone rang, you second-guessed your decision. What would you say? How were you going to tell them you had lied to them and, due to your stupidity, had put yourself in another predicament. 

It wasn’t long after you made that call that the isolation and pain became far too much. Over the past few days, thoughts of turning to an old friend returned. 

You were Italian; by nature, there was always a bottle of something in your house; it had never tempted you until now. Football was always there, replacing it in a way nothing had ever done for you. But that solace has been taken from you now. The promise of a temporary escape from all the pain was undeniable. 

You hesitated, holding the bottle in your hand. You uncapped the bottle, and the scent of grappa, your common poison of choice, wafted through the air. You took a sip, surrendering to the pain. 

The first sip was sharp, with the burn racing down your throat and the warmth quickly spreading through your chest. The level in the bottle dropped steadily, and with it, the pain was momentarily forgotten. With each passing moment, the effect intensified. 

It wasn’t long before you were free. You felt nothing and were worried about nothing. You knew you could be putting both your concussion and alcohol recovery in danger, but you didn’t care anymore.

(uhm warning for injury/blood/whump, parental death, uhhhhhhhhh fire? a lot happens (also idk if the read more thing has been fixed so let's pray. i refuse to smack these long ass paragraphs in front of innocent bystanders (this is so long. im so sorry)))

ok so reigen is the professor of the galaxy expedition team and u may be wondering how he got that job: lying :)! he claims he knows everything abt pokemon and that he's been studying them his whole life when in reality he's not even totally sure how many pkmn types there are. granted, the rest of the team doesn't either, so his ability to bluff himself out of any given situation is massively helped by their cluelessness

he just wants to sleep in a bed with blankets and eat food to survive and lying into the professor position was the quickest way he saw to get there. he'd been wandering in the wilderness for a while since coming to hisui before that and it kinda sucked. bro just wants a house in this crippling economy

mob n ritsu were originally from another village! they don't meet reigen until mob is 9 (ritsu 8). there's no powers in this au but mob's whole shtick is that he takes the,, extreme pacifist route i guess? he thinks pokemon r to be respected and loved and Not Bothered and he's against the use of pokeballs to store them and commanding them to battle each other, etc. essentially if he were in a modern era he'd think the way present-time people treat pkmn is, for the most part, cruel

anyway their hometown gets attacked by pkmn and the village is destroyed. their parents die protecting them, so 9-year-old mob was left to fend for himself n his little brother alone. they travel together kinda aimlessly for 7ish months until they get remarkably (unknowingly) close to jubilife village and come across that giant fuckin rapidash before the bridge

it's their first alpha pkmn encounter. neither of them have pkmn to defend themselves with (mob's reason: he ain't like that. ritsu's reason: He Is Eight and Scared). mob has always been able to empathize w pkmn a lot and sorta get a read on what they're thinking, so the vibes comin off that rapidash were rancid and he was worried abt it. mob has never been afraid of pkmn, not even the rly big and scary looking ones. so he approaches it with the intention of calming it down, seeing what's hurting it. he makes ritsu stay back in case things go bad

he's kicked in the head. if u forgot how big that rapidash is just google it. the hooves r the size of ur player character's head and ur player character is like 15. mob is 9. the fact that he doesn't die immediately upon impact is a miracle. the fact that he survives longer than 5 seconds after the fact is basically divine intervention

the doodle i made in the top left corner of ritsu screaming is this ^ encounter. he watches it happen, and then watches in horror more as the rapidash panics at ritsu's scream and rolls a flame wheel over his brother's limp form. ritsu manages to dive for him and run, but the kid is thoroughly terrified and traumatized

i'll spare u the horrid bits but long story short ritsu finds a cave to settle in and while he's rly inexperienced with medical treatment he does his best. his best isn't very good in the grand scheme of things but him being 8 is a pretty damn good excuse. he camps out there for Three Whole Days waiting for his brother to wake up or respond to literally anything but it isn't happening and the longer this goes on for the more terrified ritsu gets

mob's taught him how to survive pretty well all things considered, but ritsu is a lot more worried abt mob than taking care of himself and he ends up neglecting his own needs pretty fiercely. he feels too sick w guilt/fear to eat. he tries to stay up as long as he can in case mob stirs. by the end of it he's pretty worse for wear too

reigen finds them while out in the field doing research (wasting time). he sees a little kid half stuck in a bush looking for berries and when reigen tries to get his attention ritsu, who is extremely on edge and sleep deprived and scared, just straight up screams at him. reigen sees his dirty clothes and skinny arms and flushed face (fever. definitely fever) and alarm bells ring in his head to not let the kid go no matter what cuz he Will lose him otherwise

once ritsu gets his bearings and realizes this is a human (first one other than mob he's seen in forever) and not a pokemon coming to kill him he starts crying to him abt his brother and reigen feels his heart drop to his stomach bc if This kid is worried about a brother who is supposedly worse off,,, dear god

ritsu leads reigen to mob. the dressings around his arm where he was burnt are completely incorrect and most definitely horribly infected and ritsu didn't rly do Anything for the head injury other than clean the blood away bc well. again. he's 8. idek if eight year olds know what concussions are

reigen BOOKS it back to jubilife faster than he's ever ran and halfway through he realizes ritsu has passed out in his arms too (kid's probably exhausted beyond belief. reigen has no idea how long they've been like this but he guesses a while) everybody in the village is kinda horrified when the professor comes back with two hurt kids, one of which is on death's door. the medical team there does everything they can

it takes a while for mob to wake up, but thankfully he does in the end. reigen finds out thru ritsu that they've been alone for "a long time" (ritsu doesn't know. doesn't rly remember. reigen asks mob when he wakes up and mob says he stopped counting somewhere after day 140)

even though mob still isn't quite back to his old self and is still generally confused and Slightly Off, the doctors say he'll be okay after a few weeks and reigen has unintentionally gotten very attached to these kids. ritsu had told him their parents died during the attack on their village. they have nowhere else to go, and like hell is Any member of this village gonna be happy with simply throwing them out into the wilderness again. so reigen takes them in

anyway that's how they meet <3 GVEYAI mob is back to his normal self (the occasional Moment of Confusion comes around from the brain injury, but they taper off after a while) and reigen is very much surprised to see that mob, as ritsu has described to him, still very much loves every pkmn he comes across. he gets a bit nervous around rapidashes in particular, but other than that, mob is still just as caring and just as respectful as ritsu described him to be. ritsu is scared of bigger pkmn like any other kid is. mob is an exception, even after that experience.

reigen waits about a year so that they have time to settle and recover (and so that he has time to observe), and then he gives them each a pokemon. this might seem odd, but mob has never expressed any ill will toward Any pkmn, and ritsu still smiles at the smaller ones

he gives them a choice between the pla starters that have been hanging around his office. mob picks cyndaquil and names her cindy. ritsu picks rowlet and doesn't name him at all (this gives reigen pause, but ritsu seems to have a new fire in his eyes, so he brushes the worry away)

when they're of age (mob waits for ritsu to reach 13. they do everything together) they both join the survery corps, and mob ends up becoming reigen's assistant :]! reigen is admittedly a little worried abt this development, about his kids going out into the wild, but they both seem ready for it (ritsu seems ... a little Too ready for it considering his past) so he relents

mob has made his opinions about pkmn clear, especially to reigen, and reigen has ended up adopting some of his ideals since he met him bc they,, well thwy sound reasonable. they sound nice. mob doesn't ever put cindy in a pokeball, and cindy had never once been in a battle other than play fights with rowlet. mob treats cindy like any other normal pet, like a friend. he looks at those boxes of pokeballs in reigen's office with a frown. he finds the idea of fighting pkmn in the wild for sport despicable. he openly scratches out the pokedex tasks like "defeat 10 times" with disdain. reigen starts seeing another world that he never rly considered before, with mob

this is where reigen senses some,,, tension, between the boys. ritsu evolves his rowlet into a dartrix remarkably quickly since joining the survey corps, and not even a few weeks later he's a got decidueye on his side. ritsu catches pokemon left and right and if they're "not strong enough" he keeps them in pokeballs until he remembers they exist again. he works on building a team with no weaknesses, or as few weaknesses as possible. bro invents competitive pkmn

obviously, mob sees this and ,,, doesn't like it. he doesn't like how Distant ritsu is with his pokemon, with creatures that he wholeheartedly believes should be treated as friends or family. he doesn't name any of them, he spends nearly all his earned money from the survey corps on items that boost their strength, but almost no money toward items for comfort, or even treats, or toys. ritsu treats his team like they're tools. the relationship between ritsu and his pkmn is,, strained. mob can sense they aren't nearly as happy as they could be

but mob knows that he can't just,, police ritsu on how he should handle his own pokemon. he may not agree with how ritsu approaches the subject, or with how ritsu's first instinct for anything pkmn is usually "fight it," but mob knows ritsu Does like pkmn. ritsu's never hated pkmn, he's just,,, scared of them, sometimes. he thinks maybe this is his way of making himself feel protected. mob doesn't like the idea of taking that away from him, no matter how much seeing ritsu refrain from giving his team a break grinds on his soul

little does he know, ritsu's strictness with his pkmn isn't born out of a fear for himself at all. he's building a dependable team to protect his brother. that's the whole reason he's doing this, the whole reason he didn't name rowlet when he first got him. ritsu knew that if he were to do this, he couldn't get attached to them, bc losing pokemon in fights is a very real possibility. it's been drilled into each and every one of his pkmn's heads that they r to protect mob at all costs. if there's a repeat of That incident, ritsu doesn't think he can handle it (>:])

OKAY SO . The Game's Plot comes in, finally. took long enough. reigen starts getting reports of frenzied nobles and he's most worried abt kleavor bc it's rather close to them, and the village could very well be in danger if kleavor decides to say fuck you in particular. so reigen goes Hey This is an Actual Threat That Needs My Attention I Have to be Competent For a Sec and spends the next few weeks tirelessly searching for an answer for this kleavor. some of the staff have already gotten mauled by it. reigen cannot ignore this and put it on somebody else like he usually does

the whole town is getting antsy, and mob most definitely notices. ritsu's jumpy all the time anymore, like he expects kleavor to rampage through the streets any second now. reigen looks tired and worn down, and he's been coming home later and later. mob watches as reigen makes plans to use force against kleavor with a sour taste in his mouth. he tries to tell reigen that force isn't the answer here. reigen, bless him, doesn't know how to tell a kid that friendship and rainbows isn't always the answer

after another week or so, mob's had enough. they've gotten nowhere closer to calming kleavor and more people have gotten injured, so mob quietly writes a note and leaves it on his bed, makes sure he doesn't wake up ritsu or cindy, and leaves the house before reigen comes home. he sneaks out over the fence so the guards at the gate don't catch him. he sets off to go see kleavor

he fully and truly believes that force is not the answer. he fully and truly believes that if he goes up to kleavor with no pokemon to fight it with, no weapons or spears pointed at it, and just a calm voice and peaceful demeanor, kleavor will see there is no danger. the galaxy team's previous attempts have all centered around violence and scare tactics. nobody has recently come up to its territory without posing a threat. mob genuinely just thinks that kleavor needs calm

reigen finds the note. freaks the fuck out. immediately rounds up every person in the village that's capable of fighting and they march out of the village to save a kid who's in way over his head. reigen makes ritsu Promise him that he will not leave the village. he can see it in ritsu's eyes, the way he wants nothing more than the come with them, but reigen gives the argument that ritsu is their strongest soldier back home and they still need to protect the village from anything else while everybody's gone. it takes all of ritsu's self-control to not go against him (he's fully set on coming with them until reigen Grips him by the arms and says "i can't lose both of you.")

mob's plan does end up working in the end, but not quite perfectly and not at all in a good way. he steps into kleavor's territory and has it calm at first, but smth changes in kleavor's eyes and whatever Force that's corrupting it surges and kleavor snaps.

mob gets Fucked Up by that thing. sliced and thrown and clawed until he can barely stand up to run away, but it's the last blow that matters. kleavor comes down on him with a chop right to his middle and everything stops. there's a sizeable gash that cuts through mob's side horizontally and kleavor's axe is stuck in the flesh there, but once mob isn't moving anymore and nothing is making kleavor afraid, the fog in its brain clears and it sees what it's done

it also sees that mob is still awake, and despite everything kleavor did to him, he's still looking at it like he knows its capacity for gentleness. even through the pain mob looks at kleavor like he Knows this isn't what it's rly like. and as soon as mob sees the light return to kleavor's eyes he smiles, blood gurgling in his throat

kleavor hears shouts from the forest, sees torchlight and panicked yells for mob. it doesn't know what to do, don't like what it sees, what it Did to this poor kid. it winces when it has to slide its axe out from the gash in mob's side—the squelch it makes and the Noise mob lets out is the last thing kleavor needs to book it

u can only imagine how fuckin hysterical reigen feels when he sees mob on the ground like that. they brought half of the medical team just in case and reigen is rly glad they did bc if they didn't there's a good chance mob would've bled out right there within a few minutes.

he's in rly rly bad shape and is barely conscious by the time reigen grabs his face and tells him itll be okay. they bring him back to the village at record pace and every minute they take he looks paler. reigen is so scared the kid's going to die in his arms before they even get there

when they get to the gates someone from the medical team takes him from reigen's arms. reigen hears ritsu scream. the kid's shoving people away who're trying to comfort him and beelining his way to mob, but reigen catches him before he can fully see the damage bc he does Not want that bloody mess to be in ritsu's nightmares for the rest of his life

ritsu fights him and pushes him and shoves him away, screaming that he just wants to see his brother, but reigen holds him back and he ends up pulling ritsu close when the kid loses steam and just starts sobbing into his chest

to ritsu, he's failed again. to reigen, he's failed them both. to mob, despite holding onto the living world by a thread, he succeeded.

anyway that's the story so far VGEAYVUA I HAVEN'T .. FIGURED OUT TERU YET. or dimple. i know the gist of i how i want teru and mob's meeting to go tho. teru is just like ritsu but like . HERE ARE 55 FANFIC IDEAS/PROMPTS (some detailed, some not) that i wrote down in google docs to make septicinnit fics for but never did actually made full fics of; some are short one sentence ideas and others are full plots!!!

I posted these because there was a time period where we were super hyperfixated on writing together (almost like a d&d roleplay but you're yourselves and also it's just text) as like our main bonding hobby and wrote down way too many fucking ideas- we don't rlly write like that anymore (we do other stuff when we hangout or have dates) and so most of these have been sitting in our google docs for a long time and i felt bad abt wasting them. now though!!! they won't rot away in the secret depths of google docs!!!

soulmates switch bodies, (through TIME) on a specific birthday. So, when tmy turns (age), he switches bodies with a s3án of the SAME age. Neither of them will remember the experience after, so it's their job to leave clues or enlist friends to help them track their Soulmate down. tmy's friends gather the night before his birthday and vow to figure out who his soulmate is and help him find them. (Past!s3án is very confused about all the things that have changed (tech, gay marriage being legal) and also very awkward because he's still an anxious bean.) 2. THEY MAKE A LONG FURBY TOGETHER!!!!! They both help design, scrap, sew and put it together by hand, and they decide on a name together, and it ends up becoming their sort of child and now they’re gay parents of a long furby (maybe they aren’t together when they decide to make it but they end up bonding over the furby and it helps them get together in a way??)

3. Coffee Shop AU where s3án is the owner and barista at T0p 0f Th3 M0rn1ng C0ff3e, which in the fic is an actual physical coffee shop. tmy becomes his first regular customer and also flirts with him over the counter a lot.

4. The five times tmy tries to hit on s3án and fails miserably (except shhh no he doesn't), and the one time he’s actually successful.

5. Sickfic again (I wrote one already) but it’s established relationship and S3án'S one who gets sick this time. Tmy is very determined to take good care of him, help walk him around the house when/if he needs it, make him soup, etc. Maybe he tries to cook but is kind of bad at it and S3án eats it anyway. Why not?” and while you can make requests, he decides, “fuck it, why browse the catalouge and make myself more anxious, I’ll just have them send some random guy”. Turns out, s3án works there part-time. Also turns out, he gets selected to go be tmy’s date. Oops.

One day, s3án comes over and tmy locks the smaller tmy in a drawer, but this mini tmy manages to escape, hitching a ride in s3án’s bag so he can be with him and follow him around. When tmy realizes what's happened, he's HORRIFIED and tries to figure out where s3án's going/been to try and get the his heart back before s3án figures it out, and of course at the same time s3án ends up slowly realizing he has a little hitchhiker and taking care of him. He thinks the little tmy is very cute and is endeared by him, and also figures out he has a crush because tiny tmy is the opposite of subtle and very obvious on purpose (kissing him where he can reach and stuff, begging for attention by whining like a puppy and making happy little noises when it is RECEIVED) By the time tmy catches up with him his little self is like. Hugging s3án’s hand/finger all affectionate and squeaking happily while s3án, petting the little guy, looks up to the actual tmy and is like. “i assume this is yours lol?”

50. S3án realizing he likes tmmy and then being really shy around him after and kind of caught off guard/embarrassed by it. That being said he cannot get it together and stop acting like a nervous little kid w a crush, he’s so shy and flustered and it's so painfully obvious how he feels that he’s kicking himself. Tmy is harem protagonist levels of dense to the point s3án would think it was on purpose if he didn’t know him well enough to know he is just Like That- and he only puts it together when he is told DIRECTLY and CLEARLY that s3án likes him, where upon he is super starstruck and confused (really??? Firstly, Tony was looking into the murders when he was younger similar to canon and hes sure thats why he got attacked. and while he believes Evan is being truthful when he tells them who the muderer was, he also knows that neither william nor elizabeth couldve been the ones to attack him (liz is too young, she wouldve been way younger when he was attacked, and tony doesnt line up the voice of his attakcer with williams voice)

he doesnt 100% trust evan, but he knows he means well. hes not like sammy, who lashed out at evan and holds quite a grudge against him afterwards.

As for his relationship with gregory. they were close as kids and kind of grew distant when everything went down with gregorys family, but only for a short while. he knows how much gregorys family means to him, and he knows how much gregory misses his sister </3 they both HAVE feelings for each other but its complicated and neither of them are ready for a relationship and especially with everything going down gregory just doesnt have it in him. but theyre still super close.

hes also rooming with ellis! they share an apartment while tony does journalism classes. their relationship is... complicated. Ellis is still reckless and excitable, and sometimes he doesnt seem to take the situation as seriously as he should since he just has a tendency to mess around and joke around to lighten the mood a bit, but tony doesnt ever really confront him about this until its a genuine issue and its really starting to affect their relationship. and because hes never said anything, nobody really expects it? the most tony does is he runs off on a mission without tony. (but he also doesnt bring gregory for. reasons. ill explain in a sec. so nobody really notices it? the only people he brings are charlie and evan, and sammy tags along bc charlies there)

he deeply suspects vanessa not only is behind their father's murder, but also is connected to williams murders in a way. but ofc since shes gregorys sister hes not 100% sure how to bring it up (im trying to write smth about this but gregory characterization is. hard. how do i put that boy in situations) because of that, he doesnt bring greg along and plans to tell him when he has concrete evidence (and preferably a reason. he believes shell have a reason to be involved)

frankly, he hates michael. not to randomly bring up michael but ive thought a lot abt tony and mike. tony hates how michael just. drops evidence and leaves. similar to ellis, sometimes it feels like he genuinely does not care. and he also doesnt seem to be out for the full story, he just wants his dad gone which makes finding evidence incredibly difficult. when michael explains elizabeths story, tony uses that as a potential reason behind vanessa being involved as well. after all, if william can manipulate his daughter, whats stopping him from manipulating her?

he was the first one to join in on investigating the murders, actually. him and charlie started iit in the first place and so they are williams main targets. but unfortunately for him charlie is not only incredibly stubborn, but so are her brothers. and tony is NOT getting stabbed in a creepy mall again.

OKAY SO... i've talked a little bit about them already but here's a more detailed rundown!!

casimir (cas or cassie for short) is part of a nomadic "faction" of bounty/demon hunters in the post-apocalyptic wasteland that is what was eastern bloc during the cold war. the hunters have a sort of love-hate reputation, on one hand they're one of the only ones capable of handling the danger that a lot of demons and spirits pose on everyday basis. on the other, they're not known to be particularly generous in spite of that (they do sort of have the mentality of "survival of the fittest"), not to mention their disdain for demons extends towards the non-harmful or neutral ones - a good demon is a banished one. also they aren't fond of the divine either, wishing to overthrow the status of the gods worshipped across the land

cas is more... divided on the matter. they don't jump at the opportunity to kill any demon that they encounter (more of a hassle than anything) but WILL be distrustful. as for gods - they do find their worship ridiculous because as far as they were taught they didn't do shit as humanity was literally at its end. they certainly won't give their offerings at the altars they come across on their journey. and it's a mentality they grew up with, as they were taken in by a group of hunters when they found them as an orphaned child in one of the abandoned(?) soviet research facilities

as the story starts they're 17 and honestly quite skilled, a prodigy of sorts. the hunters do find them to be a valuable asset. cassie doesn't care for it that much though - all they want is to find a way to get out of the walls to the outside world. maybe it's foolish to believe that the situation is truly better beyond the iron curtain but hey, better try that than to slowly rot with demons at every corner. which eventually leads them to lviv as they look for intel and MAYBE a way to pass the never ending storms that make traveling so dangerous AND make the road towards west practically unpassable

okay so object shows are just like.. silly funny web-series things with little object guys. they tend to have faces and little stick figure limbs but of course there are always characters that will break typical design conventions. general name for Eveythjng is the object show community (osc for short. theres so many acronyms hopefully that isnt too confusing..)

first ever object show is bfdi (battle for dream island) it was made in 2010 by these two guys, the huang twins, youve probably seen Something theyvemade before they make a lotta cool things, it started in 2010 and is still going on today! its a competition based show inspired by total drama, and the main premise is 20 contestants who are little silly objects are competing for the titular ‘dream island’ throughout multiple challenges, and characters get voted out each episode by the viewers! bfdi is mostly silly jokes and slapstick type stuff, but still has certain bits where they get more ‘serious’ and has its fair share of lore and character arcs. practically every object show is based off of/inspired by this since it was the first and set up the general formula most other shows follow =)

generally speaking its agreed on that inanimate insanity (ii for short) is the second show to be made, and this one takes even more total drama/survivor inspirations. it started in 2011, and is also still going on, generally the second most popular show and REALLY popular on the tumblr side of the osc, probably due to its more ‘serious’ tone compared to other shows. season 1 is pretty… aged.. you can tell it was made by a bunch of teens in the early 2010s, but season 2 as it goes on gets more and more focus on story, character arcs and development, all that jazz. theres a ton of shows from around the time that later season 2 episodes where releasing that take a lot more inspirtation from it in tone and stuff!

something im not entirely sure how to fit into the main bits is that these are like. largely made by kids/teens. bfdi was first created when they were in like middle school n stuff, same with ii, in more recent years as people who have been the community for a while n stuff are getting older theres a lot more adults of course but its still mainly younger people… not enough people seem to take that into consideration when talking abt the community at large/certain shows n stuff so i figured id make sure to point it out 👍

actually speaking of that. a lot and i mean a LOT of shows end up being kind of… obviosuly made by kids. a lot of people find this annoying but i personally couldnt care less its pretty endearing to me (probably cuz me and my friends were all like that lolz) although i can understand where people are coming from with shit where its just like.. offensive. thats not too common tho in my expierence. okay so generic and ‘poorly’ made shows are super common. the response to this there was a massive surge in joke shows which are their whole own beast. im not too familiar with them so im not the best person to come for for that stuff, they generally just joke about how generic and oversaturated object shows were getting to be around the time . all that shit. gimmick shows are also pretty common nowadays, i havent seen any of these so i have nothing to really say i just dont know much aside from they have Gimmicks and thats the whole premise ?

a show thats become like, massive, considered one of ‘the big three’ up there with bfdi and ii, is ONE by cheesy hfj (sometimes also called hfjone or one hfj) its this sort of meta show that uses object shows as a framing device (and its predecessor was this show called battle for circle which is a joke show poking fun at how low quality and samey everything is blah blah blah) and its. a whole thing . i dont even know how to really explain it in a quick summary its like… the undertale of object shows if that makes sense.

theres just. so much i genuienly dont know how or where to end this off becuz the community is SO big and has been around for over a decade and im only really familar with tiny sections of it…

yeah. general takeaway for me when it comes to Everything as a whole is just like.. object shows. the osc. whatever. is just this big community made of passionate people who like to make things and want to share that and its!! cool and fun and despite it having all the typical fandom issues im really grateful that i discovered this stuff becuz it genuinelyhas changed my life and i dont know if i would be as into making art or if i would have this kinda attitude on art that i have now if it werent for the osc. a lot of shows are really silly and all of it looks. kinda stupid if youre not familar with them but they gneuinely hold this special place in my heart cuz… well im not entirely sure how to put it into words if im bring honest. they just feel very.. genuine to me. everyone in the community is so passionate and it just makes me really happy seeing people making things they love and enjoy regardless of how ‘stupid’ or ‘cringe’ or whatever the fuck it might seem if that makes sense =)

i think so. he's had a lot of time to reflect on himself, his trauma, and his actions. if that sticks, then i have no doubt that he would be a good father. he and will have saved each others lives countless of times. hopper especially has put himself in danger multiple times for will. i remember that he accompanied them to his appointments with dr owens, too. hopper clearly cares about the byers and wants them all to be safe and feel safe. the only thing that would give me pause is if his short temper reemerged. i don't think that will and jonathan would react well to the aggression we've seen him display in previous seasons—even with all the good he's done their family, i'm sure it'd remind them too much of lonnie. "if you're raised with an angry man in your house, there will always be an angry man in your house." :/ but we know that he cares about them. we know that he is capable of being sweet once he's let his guard down. we know that he feels things. jonathan and will are both sensitive, he'd have to adjust to that i think, but we've seen him do it with them before. will would probably be more receptive to hopper considering everything he's done for him, and jonathan would probably take more time to adjust to having another man in the house and no longer having to don the patriarchal role, but he would get there, too. he wants his family to be happy and safe, and them all having someone to support them would give him the space to live his own life, too. so long story short !!!!! yes, i do think hopper would be a good father now that he's come out of his cave again and stepped into the light. :)

Also imma be honest as well - i'm the same. Birthright is the only one I finished and other than that I'm like almost through with awakening, halfway with echoes and revelations and idek how far with three houses. I think I get too much into strategizing and spend too much time planning out the classes and skills instead of just playing and then I tend to abandon the games for a while...

So since I'm not super deep into the story myself my 3h au isn't that deep. Y/n would take Byleths place, simply because it makes a lot of sense. And then I sorta assigned the units to the houses based on Vibes TM aka Blue Lions - HHU, Black Eagles - Vocal, Golden Deer Tiger - Performance.

I also felt that some characters shared traits or reminded me of members (Linhardt - Han, Ferdinand - Seungkwan, Sylvain - Mingyu, Claude - Hoshi, Ignatz - Hao). But they'd mostly be themselves and not take over the exact role of anyone. I've also have thoughts on classes for some but not for all. I think Woozi would be something along the lines of a General, Han would be a Dark Mage, Hoshi a Hero, Scoups a Swordmaster or Cavalier (or anything else just give the man a sword) and- yeah I think I'll end it here

So that's how it goes: I'm 5'7, pretty curvy, have really pale skin with a lot of freckles, short black hair and big blue eyes. My ears are pierced — 6 earrings on each of them. Some say I'm a nerd for loving Marvel goodies and literally drowning in LOTR world. Others say I'm strange, cause I love Korean dramas and movies (criminal ones!). And I say I'm just a boring fellow who doesn't have friends, so all those things entertain me daily. Then I also love... Studying people if you can say so. I just find them very interesting and intriguing, and observing them (not in a creepy way!) or reading abt them is one of my favorite things to do. When it comes to music, I love almost all the genres, but rock/metal definitely are my favorites.

Hi🖐. I saw your post about the twins being dismissive to Freminet, I kind of just wanted to say something abt that. First of all, they actually aren't related like you said(I'm assuming you meant like blood related, but if you didn't then you can just skip the next sentence). They actually only met at the orphanage, and that their adoptive siblings. Also I know that a lot of people don't like the twins for only talking about eachother, but you gotta understand, they have be through A LOT with eachother. Like, I mean especially with their sad backstory, they have got eachother's back for a super long time. Before and after they met Freminet. And of course, in general you might be more closer to your blood related sibling then your non blood related sibling. And they do love and care about Freminet, but they are just closer to eachother since they've gone through thick and thin with eachother and their trauma. Anyway, I hope this maybe lets you see the twins in a better way and not being dismissive about Freminet❤

Just wanna say upfront that I appreciate your genuine message and I’m not trying to talk down to you, just clarifying what I meant in that post.

I’m aware that the twins and Freminet are not biologically related, but they do consider each other family in the way that they are closer than members of the house of hearth tend to be. That being said, Lyney and Lynette are twins. That means they’d naturally be closer to one another than any other siblings they might have, biological or not. On top of that, they spent the first part of their lives alone on the streets or taken advantage of by the aristocracy, only being able to trust and depend on each other. Something like that would only strengthen their bond and make it harder to be close to anyone else.

However, I wasn’t saying that Lyney and Lynette shouldn’t be as close as they are or that they should be equally as close with Freminet as they are with one another. I can kind of understand how it might have come off that way, but the point I was trying to make is how they don’t seem close wirh Freminet at all, or at least not as close as people who chose to become family should be.

I mentioned in that post that my siblings are twins. Despite being polar opposites, they’re still closer to each other than they are to me because they’re twins. This doesn’t mean that they aren’t close to me at all. Anyone observing us would know we’re siblings. They show they care about me, they don’t tease me (all the time), they think and talk about me when I’m not there. Even though they’re closer with each other it doesn’t mean they don’t care about me.

We have been told that the siblings get along fine and love each other (mostly by promotional stuff) but when we’re actually shown them in the game we see one short interaction with Freminet and the twins don’t see or mention him for the rest of the archon quest or the story quest where they’re not stuck in court the whole time. In that one interaction, Lyney gives Freminet a hard time for being “childish” and introverted, and that’s all we see of the dynamic between them, it doesn’t seem loving. We’re shown what the twins think of Freminet through voice lines. Again, they barely mention him until they’re directly asked about him. Lyney again calls his brother naive. Lynette doesn’t go out of her way to tease Freminet, but she seems to avoid him as much as her twin. The most we get from her is that she’s grateful Freminet is good with machines and that she wishes he weren’t so self deprecating.

With all that being said, it’s hard to be convinced that the twins and Freminet have a loving relationship. The post was about how they don’t seem to care much for Freminetat all, and I used Lyney and Lynette’s own relationship as a comparison, which I realize now was a bad move because it misconstrued my point. All I’m saying is even though the twins are each others number one, they could be still be much closer with Freminet than they’re shown to be, and I’m disappointed that they’re not especially considering they’re framed like this caring found family that looks out for one another. Also, I have still not unlocked their character stories or some of their voice lines, they might have more to say on the subject, but even if that’s true it doesn’t erase what’s already happened.

Yeah I don’t mind talking about it, admittedly it’s a long story so I’ll put a “read more” for anyone who doesn’t care. Long story short through, he lied to me about some pretty important things and after that I lost trust in him and it got worse from there.

Long ver:

Around I think year 10 or 11, Edd started getting a lot closer to Tord and they ended up moving in together. I and matt would occasionally stay over (and where planning to eventually move in) so Edd wanted all 3 of us to be mates. We were neutral on the guy and agreed that being on good terms would make things less awkward, so we just went with it. Over time I started to dislike him and made Edd aware of this, but he still kept trying to get us to get along anyways.

When Tord finally moved out, Edd apologised for being an ass about it and I assumed that would be the end of it. Alas, that wasn’t the case and Tord ended up moving back in a few years later, we ended up getting into a fight that nearly ended with me getting killed and after this, I got another apology from Edd, with me again assuming that would be the end of it.

Since Tord turned out to be super shady, I looked into him and showed what I found to Edd. However, he revealed that not only did he know about all of this, but he also helped him with some of it. Asking more questions, I found out that he knew about Tord wanting to kill me, having a weapon stash, wanting to take over the world etc and chose both not to tell me and not to stop him.

I was rightfully really angry about this and Edd made it out like I was overreacting. We fought quite often over this, especially after I found out he was hiding even more from me, but I really liked him and didn’t want to throw away our friendship so we agreed to put it behind us.

All seemed to be going well, until I noticed that the weekly visits he was claiming were for his mother started getting longer and longer. I started getting suspicious and one night, I woke up early and noticed that Edd was also awake. He was sitting on the couch on his phone and out of curiosity, I stood behind him and looked at what he was doing.

He was texting Tord. What about? Oh nothing, it was just Tord saying that he didn’t want to get into a relationship with him because he didn’t want to upset me and Matt. Yeah, these “weekly visits to his mum” was actually him going out with Tord, intending to start dating him.

I was obviously pretty upset about this. To fool me not once, not twice but three times is insane! I found out Edd was posting photos of the two together and was able to guess where Tord lived based off of them, going to his house the next day. He accidentally informed me that they had been doing this for weeks and when I got home, I called Edd out on it. He not only admitted it but also told me that he had been looking for Tord or a way to contact him for years before that.

We haven’t been friends since then and when we’ve spoken, it hasn’t been pleasant. Why yes, I hate Tord with a passion, I have to admit that he’s only done it once and has as least tried to apologise/make up for it. Edd however, has done this on multiple occasions and I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s more I don’t know about yet. Every time he apologises, I believe him less and less.

Both incidents shouldn’t have happened at all, but I have to admit that I prefer a one-time occasion over a growing pattern of behaviour.

— y'know, he really wants to spend as much of his time w you, like every second of his life, but he's a king, and a busy one at that. he doesn't like just holding ur hand while on meetings or sharing longing glances from across the room (though he does like them), so he dances w you like all night during winter fates or balls and literally sticking his tongue out to the men who's been waiting in line to dance w you too. He'll plan trips on sea where you guys usually spend weeks in, playing chess, chasing each other around the ship, and him teaching you how to steer the ship, cooking together (which ends up with him burning the food so u have to start over again. not like he's doing it on purpose or anything *wink wink*). OMG ALSO. Reading a book together, taking turns reading per chapter. Cuddlesssss. LOTS. Especially in breaks. In the couch, ur bed, the lounge area. This man will try to spend every break of his spending his time w you.

B eauty - What do they admire about their s/o? What do they think is beautiful about them?

— whether you’re thin or plus sized, short or tall, whatever race you are, he loves you. he goes into extra simp-mode whenever you smile bc he just loves seeing u happy, most specifically whenever he pulls out that smirk of his and whenever he tells you a joke or whispers an insult to you abt one of the guards. He's also in love w your personality and how shockingly kind you are, sarcasm, how understanding and empathetic you are, how easily you make someone feel at ease. but, at the same time knowing that you have the ability to kill someone with your eyes closed makes him a lil giggly too.

C omfort - How would they help their s/o when they feel down/have a panic attack etc.?

— you had gotten pretty used to a queen's life, but things do have the ability to get overwhelming. like, you feel all that “it feels like i can’t breathe” crap, and he knows it too. so he showers u w kisses, gives u rest, cuddles, and voluntarily does ur work for u.

if someone disrespects u—now this is a different story. he might be a respectful man and is humble when someone disrespects him, but if people fail to give his queen the respect that he expects, then he might as well kill them. you would do the same when it comes to him.

D reams - How do they picture their future with their s/o?

— he’s a family man. he wants to marry you so bad, give you all the treasures of the world that exists. whenever he sees you playing w kids or making them laugh, he absolutely melts. while he feels insecure over the possibility of disappointing your children and raising them wrong, and most of all disappointing you, you couldn’t disagree more. seeing him worried abt it shows how much he cares, and that was enough proof.

E qual - Are they the dominant one in the relationship, or rather passive?

— i kind of see you as the dominant one. i mean, ofc, ur not controlling him or anything. he just likes feeling like he isn’t the one in charge all of the time. but overall, it’s equal. plus, he is a SIMP for stubborn and independent women like u.

F ight - Would they be easy to forgive their s/o? How are they fighting?

— yeah, he would forgive you no matter what u did. he’s the kind to not go to sleep mad at you, so he would make you two talk abt it. not that he’s pushing you, it’s just it’s more better that way, especially since he wants to take ur relationship seriously and sees this as a mature thing. those nights would usually consist of awkward silence but nonetheless, one of u guys give in and apologize.

G ratitude - How grateful are they in general? Are they aware of what their s/o is doing for them?

— as most of u know, nikolai wasn’t the favorite child. he barely got anything, especially love and affection. until u. u loved him endlessly and he finds himself feeling chosen for once, even teary eyed sometimes, when he’s with you. he didn’t think that was possible. and in response, he will throw u fetes, gift u an abundant amount of jewels and presents, and even names things after you. 

he points at the bushes like a child. “oh look, love, flowers!” 

u giggle. “i see them. they’re beautiful.”

“not as beautiful as my lovely, lovely Y/N” he gushed and kissed you. “i shall name them after you nonetheless.”

and would even go as far as naming stars, events, fetes, jewelry, gems, even your own children (which u refuse) after you.

H onesty - Do they have secrets they hide from their s/o? Or do they share everything?

—a BIG BOLD NO for keeping secrets from each other. you tell each other everything, no matter how embarrassing, which usually comes with a lot of teasing. so, yes, you both share everything.

I nspiration - Did their s/o change them somehow, or the other way around? Like trying out new things or helped them overcome personal problems?

—ur kind of an uptight person ngl. being a former general and having Ravka as ur responsibility—u refused to sleep. however, nikolai lantsov did not like seeing u like this, and u learned from him that sometimes u have to take breaks and have fun every once in a while.

J ealousy - Do they get jealous easily? How do they deal with it?

— YES. as much as he hates to admit it, it is SO OBVIOUS. u were talking to a general from a different kingdom in a ball. nikolai dropped his current conversation, strolled over to y’all, grabbed u by the waist and kissed ur temple, all while glaring knives at the general.

K iss - Are they a good kisser? What was the first kiss like?

—um...y e s. he’s experienced, definitely. ur first kiss was before u started dating and it was during an argument😏(yall wattpad babes know where this is going). u were frustrated w him for skipping too many meetings with kingdoms with queens asking for alliances through marriage, and when he tried to argue back, he couldn’t help but cup ur face w both of his hands. he stared at for a while, then he u kissed you. in fact, that’s how most of ur arguments go, which isn’t fair, but then again, nikolai likes seeing u flustered and u love it when he kisses u.

L ove Confession - How would they confess to their s/o?

—it wouldn’t be extravagant or anything, surprisingly. u both were at the palace’s rooftop, tilting ur heads towards the rain. u were sitting down, legs hanging over the edge, and smiling at the sky. nikolai was standing up, hovering over u when he felt his heart beat rapidly than usual. he had to sit down next to u to have a closer look at u. when u noticed his heavy breaths, u opened ur eyes and he immediately clashed his lips w urs and said those three words.

M arriage - Do they want to get married? How do they propose? What would the marriage be like?

—hell yes he wants to be Mr. Lantsov-L/N. this time, he does do something extravagantly. he knew ur favorite part of the palace was the gardens, but u LOVED his ship. so on the morning u were on ur way back home from a vacation on the ship, he decorated the ship w flowers, woke u up and led u outside. he knelt down with the ring and had a big speech with tears flooding his view. u were crying too and in fact, u couldn’t stop.

“y/n, love, i need some sort of answer besides ur sobs.” he sniffed.

u giggled uncontrollably. “yes!”

—love, y/n/n, bee (bc ur adorable until provoked), my love, lovely, beautiful, moya tsaritsa, koroleva, milaya.

—giggly, blushy, soft, and daydreamy to the point where he would drop everything he’s doing and caress ur hair, play footsies w u, or intertwine a finger with urs and in return u play with his rings. AND HE ALWAYS LOOKS MESMERIZED UGH😍

P DA - Are they upfront about their relationship? Do they brag with their s/o in front of others? Or are they rather shy to kiss etc. when others are watching?

—lots of PDA, but he won’t do anything to embarrass u. he would kiss u, caress u, play w ur hair, lean on u, hug u, hold ur hand, or touch u in anyway really. and omg he absolutely LOVES showing u off, to his friends, co-workers, guests. he’ll be in a bad mood in front of tolya, tamar, genya, david, and the rest when u walk in asking for something when he suddenly perks up and brightens his mood.

Q uirk - Some random ability they have that’s beneficial in a relationship.

—he knows what u like and don’t like, who u like and don’t like, what u need in a bad day, etc. he has u memorized. if he had time, he could write a manual on u. so it’s a relief u don’t have to tell him u don’t like something bc he knows by the look on ur face or the change in ur tone.

—creative af. there was a point where he asked what ur former lovers did for u and u told him, not paying attention to why he did, and he did those things better. he bought u a carriage? well, nikolai made u ship. he bought u ur favorite treats on ur bad days? well nikolai hired the pastry chef as ur own chef. 

S upport - Are they helping their s/o achieve their goals? Do they believe in them?

—he supports u a lot. he spends Ravka’s money just to help sponsor charities u host. he’s ur biggest supporter and ur his.

T hrill - Do they need to try out new things to spice out your relationship? Or do they prefer a certain routine?

—nothing too risky that’s out of ur comfort zone. look, i don’t need to explain but he is the perfect guy and if he makes u uncomfortable it would make him want to throw himself into the ocean. even if he really wanted to do something w u or to you and u don’t want to, he won’t push.

U nderstanding - How good do they know their partner? Are they empathetic?

—like i said, he knows you like the back of his hand. BUT. the first few years of dating he’s obviously still studying you, so there are a lot of confusion for him when all of a sudden you stopped talking. but after a few years then he’ll definitely get the hang of u.

—important enough that, let’s say, u get held hostage. nikolai would drop everything, even sell Ravka for u. it’s you that’s irreplaceable.
