EPISODE 114 SPOILERS!!
i don’t remember if we as the audience were told that gillion had been replaced cause i sure as hell didn’t notice until he revealed it
BUT the way charlie hinted at it so subtly before the reveal was insane.
of course, him not knowing the updated prophecy, the quiet footsteps, and the full health were suspicious, but what about the fact that doppelgilly didn’t mention that kuba kenta was there and alive??
as someone just watching something felt wrong about that, like that is such a major thing that gillion would immediately tell his crew about especially considering how awful every fight with him has gone. i cannot believe how genuinely immersed this campaign has got me to the point where i’m trying to pick up on things as if i’m in the role play.
but also sidebar: why would doppelgilly not want to mention it? did he not know or is he just trying to protect kuba kenta? how much does kuba kenta know about the cloning process if he’s stuck downstairs?
god this episode has me reeling

Season 1, Episode 25: Mummy Issues
Favorite moment: "You are enough just as you are."
General thoughts:
Ad for intern intro - Very fun! I love every time Ron is in "business mode".
Love all the stuff with investigating the ride and figuring out the puzzles. These puzzles are very cool. I enjoy hearing them solve them.
The first one causes them to lose another phone, so now they're just left with Darryl's, but at least they got the info they needed from it. And I love the joke about it getting "bricked". Always love the puns and dad jokes.
The second one gets them the shield that they never used because they never learned how it works. It's too bad, I wanted to know more about what it does.
And then the third one is a great use of materials that they have to block up the holes in the walls.
And then the ending. Ugh. It's amazing. And beautiful. And sad. And all the things. What is it with Anthony and these heart-wrenching endings??? The first time I heard this, my mind was absolutely blown away. And it definitely made me cry. Even though I've listened to this episode several times (this is one in my heavy re-listen rotation), Ron's letter still makes me tear up every time. Re-listening to this episode also makes me cringe every time they talk about lighting the mummies on fire. I don't know how Anthony sat through that, praying to the DND gods that they wouldn't do that. Purpose of a DM screen, indeed.
Glenn's stinger about Disneyland is very funny. Great way to release at the end.
Next time, we deal with what all of this means. And things are about to get very timey wimey.

The warm lighting as Luke holds Percy at sword point because Percy trusts Luke. Luke would never hurt him.
Then Luke later betraying Percy in the very same woods and hurting him with the same sword as the lighting shifts to this ominous dark purple
i could write an essay on how the writers use lighting as a method of storytelling
