Often times I think about how Hortensia’s jealousy ultimately lead to her downfall

Like, if she stayed out of Lyris’ affairs at the inn that night, or didn’t feed MC that apple, she would have stayed out of her hair for good

That doesn’t mean Lyris would have entered a romantic relationship with her like she wanted, but that single moment lead to her death

Now that I’ve finally released ep6, I can reveal some spoilers on homages/cameos. I think I’ve added as many Lovestruck character homages/cameos as I can from series I’ve read and feel comfortable writing from.

Episode 6 has a giant cameo at a boba shop featuring Juliette, Lorelei, and Andi. As usual, the characters’ names aren’t in-game, but I describe them. I had a lot of fun writing this cameo as choices, Andi is being super gay, Lorelei is ...Lorelei, and Juliette is being nerdy and awkward.

If it wasn’t obvious from the episode 5 Renzei + VN MC cameo, VN is my favorite series.

Episode 6 also has a new background, if you look closely, the skateboards have Lyris, Amara, and Sevastian designs on them. Yes...RP is another one of my favorite series lol...

One of the new characters’ nicknames is inspired by Altea from Love & Legends and also inspired by Nav from Starship Promise.

One of the other new characters is inspired by Renzei’s design and character. With a backstory inspired by Antonio’s route.

Seeing a lot of posts about Lovestruck shutting down made me go and try it before it’s gone. Read only a few stories, some are not my cup of tea at all (Havenfall), some I really loved (Reigning passions). Also I now have a ton of reaction screenshots from Starship Promise Atlas route.

I admit, the assortment and the length of stories is impressive. I wish I’d downloaded it earlier, because it will be impossible to go through many routes without paying in the short time the app remains available, and also the amount of hearts needed to get the good stuff is ridiculous. And despite liking Atlas route in general, for example, I absolutely hate the way the locked choices were done, it’s too often “Pay a lot and comfort Atlas/be intimate with Atlas” vs “Be a boring useless jerk and leave him disappointed”. The choices in Sevastian and Lyris routes seemed to be written better. Also I kinda hate when the paid choice that you haven’t made gets referenced in the future chapters as if it had actually happened. There wasn’t a lot of that in Lovestruck, I remember more of it in Fictif - like there was a moment in Roadkill when the LI asks MC something like “Remember the date we had and how we kissed in that place and blah blah blah”, and I was like “No, because we didn’t?..”

And that is another reason why I love Last Legacy, because skipping paid choices there doesn’t leave me feeling like a jerk, the LIs don’t get disappointed. Most times the free choices are actually nice and interesting in their own way. And the choices you make actually get mentioned the right way later, no “false memories” of things that never happened because you didn’t have enough stars. Well, it’s one of the many reasons I love LL writing, and I really really hope Nix Hydra won’t rush new Last legacy chapters so that the quality can stay this high.

Going back to Lovestruck, I wonder if there is any guide/rating of the stories and LIs, cause I’d like to read something nice while I can. Some good slowburn with  an actual plot, some character development and a MC that is not too awkward or useless would be perfect...
