WOOHOO!! It’s all done!! A race guide for my Yogscraft fanlore stuff!!
ALT Text/Transcription Below Cut;
FIRST SLIDE:
This slide shows examples of different features for each of my headcanons for different races within my Yogscast and Minecraft fan-lore. There are six primary races; Human, Lumian, Villager, Fae (subcategories being Seelie and Unseelie), Angel, and Demon. The features shown are; Eyes, Ears, Noses, Mouth and Teeth, and Hands.
Humans are what we’re familiar with, and serve as a comparison so we can know what is typical for humans in my art style.
A quick note for Lumians; the example blood color is green, but there are different colors - more information is on Slide Three. Lumians have smaller pupils than humans by about half our pupil sizes. They have pointed ears, and when flushed, their blood color shows through much like human ears do. Their tongues are closer to their blood color, and front teeth are smaller and pointed. Most of their teeth are pointed like Human canines, except for their canines, which are thinner, like a blade. Their hands are slightly larger and they sport clawlike nails.
Villagers have square or slightly rectangular eyes. Their ears are more concave, like a cow’s or a mouse’s ears, and can have a dark blue fur or blush on the outer part of the flaps. Their noses are similar to a dog’s or koala’s nose, and a navy teal color. Their teeth are larger and entirely stubby with no canines, and they have dark blue mouths with lighter navy tongues. Their hands have dark blue, stubby, round nails, with a couple big, hardened, dark blue pads on the backs of their hands in round, bean-like shapes. They also have these pads on each of their second knuckles.
The Fae are split into two categories; Seelie and Unseelie. - First listed are Seelie. Seelie have an outer iris ring extending their irises to a larger size, with pointed, catlike pupils. Their longer pointed ears concave on each side toward the base, similar to a bat’s or cat’s ears. They can have any shape of nose, depending on how humanoid they are, with humanoid noses being indistinguishable from ours. Their mouths are a more saturated shade of pink, and they sport two canines, replacing the secondary front, top row teeth. Their hands are a wide variety, but if humanoid, they typically have longer fingers. - Second, we have Unseelie. Unseelie Fae eyes are larger, and only have one color, with colored catlike pupils. Their ears are similar to Seelie, but are typically larger at the base and point more upward, instead of outward. Their noses are the same as Seelie’s noses. Their mouths are usually a duller, darker shade of purple or pink, and their primary fangs are double the size or length as a Seelie’s fangs. Their hands are similar to Seelie’s, but their fingers are more often clawed.
Angel’s skin shimmers with sunny luster. Angel eyes have very large, glowing, white-to-yellow irises, with colored pupils. Their ears can be round or pointed, but have feathers of any color lining the outermost edges. Their noses are similar to ours, but usually have slotted and/or outwardly pointed nostrils, and the noses can be very flat to the face, even nonexistent. Their mouths are golden with sunshine-colored tongues and perfect rows of completely straight, rounded teeth. Their fingers are all the same length and have totally opaque nails.
Demon’s skin burns bright or saturated shades of red. Demon eyes are completely black, with very small glowing irises and no pupils. Their ears are pointed and lined with small, sharp hornlike growths. Their noses can be nearly any shape with a flat face, similar to moles, pigs, bats, or even a lizard’s. Their mouths are double the size, can unhinge and mold to different shapes, and have very large, sharp teeth all throughout. The inner color of their mouths are deep red to oily black, and their snake tongues are bright red. Their hands are very large, with very long fingers and very sharp, dark claws.
SECOND SLIDE;
This slide is titled “Notes on Humans”. The text is as follows;
Humans may exhibit signs of deific influence after an extended period of time, depending on whose realm they reside under - such as; -faint glowing, dependent on deity's colors -impulses and urges related to deity's influence -affinity for items, places, concepts, and ideas related to deity's influence
The vibes are contagious! Humans have a passive minor influence over the feeling, thinking, and experiences of other creatures and races due to their natural pack bond mentality.
THIRD SLIDE;
This slide is titled “Notes on Lumians”. The text is as follows;
What Lumians lack in creativity, they make up for in leadership prowess, tactical approach, and clinical or scientific understanding. Their society is raised supporting only academic and physical studies with no care put into the arts. As a result, although very bright and quick-witted, Lumians are notoriously high-strung, prone to trauma, and bleak or dry-humored.
Lumian blood color ranges ass wide as the visible spectrum! Green is the most common. Blood color matters as much as a horoscope. Which is to say, not a lot.
Lumina, the Lumian home planet, is home to massive insects. (Lumian) teeth are built to chew the bugs' super tough meat.
Lumians are also all born with glowing freckles and eyes. Freckle patterns vary from light to heavy, and are most commonly on the face and back. Places where freckles are found to be the most are also a folkish indicator of personality and fortune telling.
FOURTH SLIDE;
This slide is titled “Notes on Villagers”. The text is as follows;
Villagers initially evolved from a world of violence and chaos, descended from a species of mammal unseen in anywhere else in the universe. This ancestor, a bovine-apelike hybrid, survived drought, famine, war, disaster, and sickness. They grew horns, cloven claws, bladelike teeth, and thick backs.
Since Kirin's awakening, however, they were blessed and all their troubles washed away. So, over time, the complacent Villagers of today have evolved away from the features of their ancestors, with small, nubby horns, rounder teeth, and softer bodies.
It's said that their religious affiliation (to Kirin) and communal practices discouraging change is what has contributed to their "domestication", as some put it. However, in recent years, it seems that has begun to change in certain rebellious individuals.
FIFTH SLIDE;
This slide is titled “Notes on Fae”. The text is as follows;
The Fae are intelligent, social creatures and humanoids of various differring races, having evolved under their creator, the deity of the mind and soul.
It's due to the crowning of Queen Nyxamenia after her Revolt against said creator, that the Fae split into two factions; Seelie (those of Rule) and Unseelie (those of Anarchy). Upon the Unseelie revering her as their Goddess, they began to take on new forms, evolving into "cursed" or "trickster" versions of Seelie Fae.
Seelie Fae rely on contracts, mutually agreed rules, tried and true methods, tradition, laws of the land, fairness, and strict moral code.
Unseelie Fae rely on "playing by ear", improvisation, "street rules", dirty games and trickery, blood oaths, high wit, intense emotion, and mind games.
SIXTH SLIDE;
This slide is titled “Notes on Angels”. The text is as follows;
Angels were a species initially forged without Kirin, the deity of Heart and Emotion, as theoretically immortal helper-workers around Limbo (the Sun, and where souls pass through when they die).
(wings are transparent)
As intelligent and magical creatures, they cannot survive outside of The Aether (the paradise within Limbo) for longer than a few years to a decade.
However, since the banishment of Lucifer and The Virtues, many Angels have self-exiled and escaped the safety of The Aether to other places, knowing they will someday perish with no hope for reincarnation, simply hoping to live the rest of their days in peace.
(Angels can also survive outer space!)
They are capable of few "miracles" (1-3 typically), great healing magic (physical bodies only), speaking to and seeing spectres, and generate intense or calming auras. They're also capable of flight!
SEVENTH SLIDE;
This slide is titled “Notes on Demons”. The text is as follows;
Demons were created with very little in the way of physical bodies to cling to, with their lifeforce instead clinging to magic, items, ashen waste, insects, and fire or lava. Power usually correlates to a Demon's age.
A weak Demon will be an invisible force, possessing others in lieu of having a physical body - whereas a powerful Demon will be able to generate a physical form through ability alone. Demons can gain power over time by making Blood Oaths with mortals, or possession leading to the mortal's demise.
Much like Angels, Demons can't reside outside of The Nether for very long. It's very, very rare for Demons and Angels to meet in person.
Demons often choose very dense, sharp bodies with horns, pointed teeth, spiked tails, and bladed claws, to evoke a predator-prey reaction in mortals, and to show off their power to other Demons.
EIGHTH SLIDE;
Anything can breed with Anything. Hybrids can happen, and have happened. Though, they are pretty rare.
A Human-Demon hybrid is referred to as a "Wraith", and are seen as bad omens.
Hybrid Angels are very rarely able to perform one miracle, and are seen as good luck.
Hybridized Lineages of Humans and Villagers exist across Craftia in small tribes, and (their groups) often go by different names, usually a family name. They're fairly new to the scene.
Fae Hybrids are the most common type, sometimes resulting in an entirely new (sub)race of Fae.
Some Unseelie, like the Vampire and Werewolf, have the ability to "infect" or "turn" other mortals, effectively changing (metamorphosizing) their species into one of them.
The Trueblood are Fae who have been born as the species which infects.
The Afflicted are (other) mortals who have been "turned" directly by a Fae.
The Kindred and Kindred lineages are descendants of an Afflicted.
Miracles for Angels and Hybrids are "per person", and do not regenerate (after use). Angels know their miracle limit - however, hybrids do not.
Angels and Demons can shift their forms, but not totally shapeshift, unless they're incredible powerful.
Ravagers and Villagers/Illagers share a common ancestor.
Villager teeth are bigger and thicker than a Human's, so their verbal communication isn't quite the same. They prefer to speak less, and dislike that Humans talk "too much". Some Villagers can (learn to) speak Human languages, however.
The Human ability to generate a "mob mentality" among other species usually works out in their benefit, except on Craftia, where most things can become hostile toward them. It seems their influences have an opposing effect on certain species and in certain locations. Why this is, no one knows.

hc + 🐈 for Ria & Anitha 👀
hc + 🐈 for a pet/animal-themed headcanon
For Anitha:
In my HC, Anitha always wanted a pet as a kid as she didn't have siblings, but the place she lived did not allow pets in the premises. To make up for that, she used to play around with the strays that lived near her school, and sneak some food to them from her lunch.
After moving in with Griffin, they adopt a Golden Retriever named Apollo and a Grey Tabby named Artemis. Anitha also has a Lumian named Candy and Griffin has an Arylu named Max (short for Maximus).
For Ria:
From childhood, Ria found hamsters to be great emotional therapy animals when she was undergoing her cancer treatment. The hospital she underwent treatment had a separate wing for emotional support animals and that was where she used to hang out most of the time.
After coming to Berry High, she adopts a pet hamster named Kiki, and after moving in with Maria after college, they had Maria's pet cats Kibble and Oreo.

Okay! You wanted to see more of my lumian ocs? Well most of you probably didn't but @cyanidas seemed too and I've never really drawn this lot properly so it made a good excuse. But yeah, here's Xeph's family! His three siblings, and his parents. Xeph's the oldest, he's just short x) Well, for a lumian he is, the others are all over six foot, or close too it, whilst Xeph's only about 5ft7. He's smol in comparison. Plus I messed up his anatomy a little so he looks shorter than he probably should but oh well!
I don't really have names for his parents over on the far left, but his siblings do have names! To the left of Xeph, is Ryul, and then on the right is Luzana and Enylnn, the twins. Below the read more is, well, some info about this lot, and some more of my lumian headcanons, Cy said that I should just write as much as I want, and that's something I can do, so, yeah, massive info-dump below the cut, enjoy I guess if you're willing to read it x)
I have five more lumians that I'm going to draw too? Well, four and a half. So watch out for those as well! :D
Okay so, where to start? x) Well, i think a good thing to start with is that my lumian's home planet is called Lumi. A very technologically advanced and vibrant planet, the majority of the life there glows just like the lumians themselves do! It's quite a dark planet, fairly distant from it's stars (yes, stars, it's in binary star system), but it's climate is still rather temperate in most places, and filled with lush forests where there aren't cities and towns. Rainstorms are common for much of the planet, snow is very rare, except in the coldest regions, which aren’t really inhabited. They have ways of regulating the weather in big city areas though. Keeping rain and other bad weather out and maintaining a steady temperature. This made adjusting to Minecraftian weather rather tricky for Xeph and Will.
One year on Lumi is roughly the same as about 3 or so years on Minecraftia/Earth. Lumi’s orbit isn’t much bigger than Minecraftia’s but it moves slower, which results in it taking longer to make it’s way around the stars. Lumian’s live for a very long time, their lifespan is easily double if not triple that of the average humans. Which, does, sadly, mean that Xeph and Will outlive the majority of their friends on Minecraftia.
Despite how long they live though, lumian’s are quite fragile compared to humans. Without the advanced medical tech of their home planet, an injury that would take a few days to heal on a human, could take a week or more for Xeph or Will, which annoys them, but if nothing else it prompts them to be more careful. Healing magic has limited success when used on them, only the most powerful of spells with have a great effect. And healing and regeneration potions make them sick, so they can’t drink them without promptly throwing it back up again.
The next important thing is probably that my lumians are a single-sexed, genderless/androgynous race. Meaning that they don't have male and female like humans do, so I will be referring to all my lumian ocs with they/them pronouns, since they've had no exposure to human ideas of gender. And masculine and feminine terms and pronouns don't even really exist in the Lumian language! Xeph and Will choose to ID as male and use he/him pronouns once they're living on Minecraftia, as that's what they prefer when it comes to the human language and how they view gender and such, though generally they're not too fussed by it.
Okay, what stuff applies to the Brindley's here. Hm. What about some societal stuff? That's pretty important with Xeph's family actually.
In the big Central Hub cities where Xeph (and Will) grew up, social standing is very much tied to the colour of your eyes and blood. Lumian eye colours are incredibly varied, they can be pretty much any colour! A lumian’s blood colour matches that of their eyes, though is usually a few shades darker. When healthy, a lumian’s blood will glow slightly too.
The colours are usually split into three groups though, which in those big cities are often used to describe a person, and are very much linked to social status; Primary Blood (red, blue, yellow), Secondary Blood (orange, green, purple, pink), and Other/Muddy Blood (browns, greys, particularly dark shades of any colour really).
Unfortunately, Lumi isn't the futuristic paradise Xeph's friends seem to want to think it is, at least, not where Xeph and Will grew up. It's not uncommon for an individual to be treated differently by their peers purely because of the colour of their eyes. This came about after a relatively recent event, that is now just outside of living memory. But it has been around long enough, and has become so ingrained into these city-dwellers lives, that there's a distinct pattern amongst the groups in the cities, and it's unlikely to go away any time soon.
Primaries are often wealthier, but have a bad reputation amongst other groups for mistreating them and using them. Secondaries are mostly middle-class, darker colours are often warier of them, though perhaps not as much as Primaries, many Secondaries are treated roughly by Primaries, some are mistreated if their colour is too close to a Primary, but still noticeably Secondary. Lumian's with brown or similar coloured eyes, are often treated quite badly by higher groups, especially Primaries, lower-class lumians in cities. They generally live in smaller towns, where they're often much better off, as the majority of the discrimination takes place in these bigger city areas. Especially the Central Hub cities (which is made up of the biggest cities on Lumi, including the main Capital). Away from these cities, you'll find considerably less, if any, of this blood colour discrimination, and lumians, regardless of blood colour, can generally work together without any hassle.
Unlike humans, lumian’s really do not care about what colour someones skin is. The only part of someone’s appearance that is deemed even remotely important by most, is the colour of their eyes.
Xeph, from a young age, realised that treating other lumians different because of the colour of their eyes was stupid! And despite his parents efforts, stuck with that ideal. Whilst living on Lumi, he did his best to be nice to people that most others of his blood colour would mistreat. He's perfectly aware that he has Primary Privilege though, that he can get away with things purely because he's blue. And that people will treat him differently, for better or worse, because he's blue. And he hates it. But there's not much he can do about it, as much as he wishes he could.
Will knew from a young age that he wanted to run a business! But his family was worried about that right from the start. It's very much an industry run by Primary blooded lumians, especially in these big cities. And they didn't want the baby of their family to get bullied by cruel Primaries! Will was determined though, and never let anything stop him from doing what he wanted to do. Early on, he did have to deal with a lot of lumians looking down at him or not taking him seriously, purely because he was a young green. But he built up his reputation, and is now fairly well-respected on Lumi.
A little about Xeph's family?
Xeph comes from a rather wealthy, Primary upper-class family. His parents are a very strict pair, and they're both very typical Primaries in that they have no interest in, and will gladly mistreat, lumians of other 'lower' colours, purely because of the colour of their eyes. They always wanted their eldest to find a nice blue lumian and settle down with them, so they were unsurprisingly unhappy when Xeph settled with a green he met at university.
Xephos is, well you all know who he is. He's the oldest of the Brindley kids, protective big brother. He gets along pretty well with all three siblings, but doesn't get along with his parents, and never really has done. He doesn't hate them, but he does dislike their attitude towards the world and how other lumian's should be treated. Xeph studied chemistry and technology at university, where he met Will, before joining the Lumian Military as an engineer a little while after his graduation. He loved the job, getting to travel through the stars was a dream come true for him, and he was doing very well. Until his ship crashed, and his life on Minecraftia begun.
Ryul (Rye-ul), or just Ry for short, is about two years younger than Xeph. They're a bit of a joker, playful and energetic, but do sometimes miss when they should calm down and be more serious. They've always been rather close to Xeph, and there only being a couple of years between them probably helped with that. They’re very tall and skinny, even for a lumian they’re tall, especially for a digitigrade lumian, who are usually shorter. They like to tease their siblings, especially Xeph, since they’re all shorter than them. They don’t mean any harm though, just messing around.
Ryul loves to travel, whenever the family went away somewhere when the kids were young, Ryul was thrilled and excited by it! Though now they’re an adult, their parents wish they’d just settle down. There’s a lot to see on Lumi though, and not many city-dwelling lumian’s really travel far from their home cities to see what else is out there, not unless they have too anyway. Ryul however, wants to see the world! And they travel around with their partner, and any friends they can convince to go with them, visiting different cities and enjoying themselves.
When Xephos’ ship crashed, and he was believed dead. The Lumian Military informed Xephos’ parents, rather than Will, who was his partner at the time, about what had happened. Xeph’s parents didn’t like Will, had never liked him and thought that their eldest deserved much better than some green who got lucky. If they’d had their way, they would never have told Will what had happened to Xephos. But Xeph’s siblings did like Will, and they did want him to know what happened, rather than leaving him to think that Xephos had simply disappeared. But it took a long time for them to be able to tell him. Eventually though, Ryul managed to get the message across to Strife, who didn’t believe it at first, but was, of course, devastated once he realised that Ryul was telling the truth. He was angry that he hadn’t been told though, and had showed up at Xeph’s parents house and shouted at them for not telling him sooner, for trying to hide it from him..
Luzana (Lu-zar-na), or just Zana, and Enlynn (En-Lin), or Enny, are about six years younger than Xeph, and are identical twins. Though in personality, they’re fairly different. Luzana is quite calm and mellow, compared to their siblings, whilst Enylnn is rather hyper, cheerful and a bit silly. They both get along with their older siblings pretty well, despite the age gap, though Enylnn is perhaps a little closer to Ryul than Xephos, since their shared hyperactivity goes together well- or at least, it does to them, maybe not to everyone else.
Enylnn loves tech and computers, gadgetry fascinates them! They very much share this love with Xephos, and the two of them could very easily chat about tech for hours if you let them. Luzana on the other hand, loves fashion and design. And is very good with makeup- though some of that is thanks to Xephos teaching them when they were younger. This gives me an excuse to talk about clothing, but then I’ll wrap this up x)
Clothing on Lumi, or at least in the cities where Xeph and Will grew up, isn’t massively complex or fancy. What you see here is a pretty good set of examples of what city-dwellers are likely to wear. Slim-fitting, high collars, dark colours, covering all but their faces, hands, toes, and tails. Lumian’s are very private people usually, no showing skin in public! Well, unless you’re like, going to a night club or something, then you can get away with something a bit more revealing. (But even then, it’s often no more than shorter sleeves, lower neckline, simple stuff like that. No short shorts here!)
Some lumian’s do wear lighter colours though, Luzana kinda prefers pale colours to the darker shades that most other lumians wear. Darker shades are more common though, since lumian beauty is as focused on the eyes and freckles and their colour and glow as the rest of their society, and darker clothes help to make bright glowing eyes stand out- or at least, that’s the idea.
Metal jewellery worn on the ears, fingers and tails to those that have them (though in this styling I leave tail-rings out for the most part) is very common too. Most of the time the only lumians that won’t wear jewellery are those that simply can’t afford it. Earrings that match the colour of an individuals eyes are common, and many also wear an earring matching their partners colour. Most are silver or gold though, once again, worn to show off a lumians eyes and freckles. Reflecting their glow, and seeming to sparkle.
Lumian’s wear makeup too, it’s very common, though it’s usually only worn around the eyes, not wanting to cover and hide freckles. Darker shades of their eye colour are what is usually worn, making their glowing eyes stand out. Glitter is common in makeup too, as it adds a little extra sparkle around their eyes when the light reflects off of it. Xeph and Will would often do each others makeup before going out of an evening, Xeph had quite a talent for it, and helped to get Luzana into makeup and fashion when they were young. Nail polish is common too, city-dwellers generally keep their claws trimmed and blunt, since keeping them sharp isn’t needed, so they can have them unsheathed without risking hurting anyone, and lots of lumians will wear sparkly or even luminescent nail polish on their claws, though the latter is a little more common amongst young lumians out partying and the like.
The majority of city-dwelling lumians keep their hair short, they’ll style it however they want, but it’s rare for them to grow it out very long. Most lumian’s can grow facial hair, but for the most part it’s only older lumian’s who grow it out at all, and even then, anything more than scruff or stubble is fairly uncommon. Xeph and Ryul are younger but still have a bit of scruff going on. Though that’s only really ‘cos Xeph’s a rebel and Ry’s a mess. x)
Okay- okay I’m gonna stop now. I think that’s everything I wanted to write here and more? Might have missed something, oh well. Will add it to the next one x) There will be two more posts like this, my lumian OCs for Cy to see, plus headcanons and shit. If you have questions about anything, be it related to this or some other headcanon thing, feel free to drop them in my ask box! Seriously, I love having a reason to talk about my headcanons! :D But yeah, that’s this. Sorry that it got so long, but it was fun to draw this and write all of this out! So that’s something at least x) ><

Maybe this is just me showing my age (having been watching yogs since 2011) but I'm p sure Xephos is canonically an alien bc his original skin was based off of a character from star trek but got shifted to its own character around... 2013 I want to say? It was about halfway through Shadows of Israphel.
TRUE, I know that's where all of the spaceman/lumian headcanons sprouted! But I think since he was always drawn as Just A Guy in the """official arts""" like the animated videos and yogs canon... Art, I guess? The yogs themselves prolly don't officially subscribe to alien xeph fan theories
But also, bc since then there have been a bunch of other theories about other yogs ALSO being lumian/space alien, I grouped all of them together in the same tier hahaha ((like for instance, strife hadnt ever been Officially Confirmed as lumian until the past year or so in which Will himself teased and referenced it in Solutions & Order, so again... I'm just lumping them all together for association sakes LOL))
But yeah I think everyone just considers the lumian/alien stuff fancanon so that's why I put them there :D

Lumian Lore
After spending a few days zoning out and doing no thinking, I have frantically collected my shit together to give some headcanons on Lumins/Lumians!
-Firstly, they tend to be seen as a more ""superstitious race"", with a culture focusing on life and night/light (night correlated with light, and safety) etc.
This is seen mainly in how they often choose to, sometimes very actively, disguise themselves as one of the dominant races of the planets they may find themselves in, as it's seen as both an act of respect and safety for both themselves and of others.
On the respect of a culture focused on night/light, this is unexpectedly a reference to their Bioneos-based aesthetic. Though it might not technically scientifically be "star dust", they might see it as a gift from the stars; it does give them a higher reservoir of energy and the gift of color and light in itself is a mark of individuality they care about deeply.
-They have colleges! Thus, therefore, they have a system of education that is possibly widespread.
If we are to assume they have a civilization spread out across more than one solar system, this would be a feat of organization, and the education most likely would have to be flexible from planet to planet in order to allow specialization in areas useful to society where needed.
An interesting note is that due to their culture, they have had a long spanning history of art, literature, music - cared about in education - and all of which often includes using forms of light. Bioluminescent plants used in architecture, electrical or otherwise light used in clothing, and much more.
-I also want to specify that hopefully, they're travelers but not colonists, only with any sort of force purely for defense over offense and with a focus of preservation and diplomacy
This I touched on with the standard of disguising themselves as others, with one reason being to preserve the culture of the societies they may stumble across on ocassion - staying out of the way.
EDIT: ( extra lore x )

Hello! I'm unsure on who spefifically to ask, but I've seen art of Xephos with more alien traits ("Lumian"?). May I ask what you know about it? I know its fanon but can't seem to find information posts on it
Hi! Here's some posts with info! People tend to pick and choose what aspects they like. I tend to headcanon Xephos, Strife, and Sjin as Lumians. Really the only consistent traits are long ears and glowing blood/freckles.
Strifesolution has two good posts about lumians
And here's a really in depth (art!) post by minecraft-jukebox about physicality!
Ta-da! Hope this helps :D

Yogscast Species Headcanons:
Xephos: Lumian. A humanoid alien species not of Minecraftia, from a planet far, far away. Taller and thinner than an average human, their most notable features are their pointed ears and bioluminescence. Their blood glows and can be seen glowing as freckles, flushing of the skin, or simply in visible veins. The color of the species glow ranges but most commonly found in cool colors such as blue and purple to help camouflage on their home planet.
Rythian: Enderborn. A rare humanoid Minecraftian species born of an Enderman and a human. Most are taller and skinnier than humans and gifted with magical abilities. Unfortunately many are rejected and cast out from society for being ‘monsters’, not accepted in either human or Ender settlements.
Lalna, Nano, Parvis, Strife: Human. A common species of Minecraftia, humans are a most diverse species in appearance and abilities. Sometimes seen as ‘plain’ in comparison to other humanoids, humans are in fact most interesting due to their versatility and ability to survive almost anything. For this reason they are sometimes referred to as the ‘cockroaches’ of the universe.
Honeydew: Dwarf. Shorter and stouter than humans, dwarves are a humanoid Minecraftian species known to dwell deep underground. Skillled miners and weapon builders, they are well known for their ancient cities and tunnels lying deep beneath the surface of Minecraftia. They commonly have beards that they braid intricately with beads of precious stone to show status. They are also greatly attracted to gold, despite its worthlessness for weaponsmithing.
Martyn: Dryad. Spirits and protectors of the trees, dryads are a semi-immortal species that dwell in the forests of Minecraftia. Able to the forms of other forest-dwelling creatures, they occasionally take the shape of a humanoid to communicate with other humanoid Minecraftians. This humanoid form is usually green or brown in skin color with light hair and eyes and adorned with leaves and other plants. They are semi-immortal due to the fact that they don’t age and will live as long as their ‘life tree’ lives. If the tree becomes sick, so will they and vice versa. They have other magical abilities such as being able to perform small acts of nature magic and communicate with animals.
Sjin: Half-elf. A humanoid species born from a human and an elf. Most are taller and ‘willowy’ in appearance when compared to a fully human companion, and have just slightly less pointed ears than a full elf. Most can preform magic, a trait gained from the elven side, but some are considered ‘null’ with no magic abilities. ‘Null’ elves or half-elves are often seen as disabled and helpless, and in extreme cases cast out by their brethren.
Sips: Half-troll. Trolls are generally considered the ‘dimwits’ of the Minecraftian humanoid society, and half-trolls aren’t that far off. Half trolls are half-human and half-troll, usually with grayish tough skin and large hands and feet. Taller than dwarves but shorter and stouter than humans, half-trolls are certainly smarter than their full-troll relatives. Half-trolls, like most half-species on this list, are once again likely to be ostracized and in severe cases not accepted in human or trollish communities.
Zoeya: Mushling. A species only different from humans because of one attribute, that being that they grow mushrooms on their bodies Thought to be spawned from a singular freak accident that occurred a millennia back, this species has now spread across Minecraftia in small pockets, most commonly living in small dark forest village communities. (It is also rumored they have moved to other more habitable dimensions but it has not been confirmed.) Wary of outsiders and non-Mushlings, they often do not interact with Minecraftians from outside of their own villages. Their skin easily burns in the sun and without magical or practical clothing protections they can fall ill to fever and skin blisters if in the sun too long.
Ridgedog and KirinDave: God. Gods range from minor to major in power and how much they are worshipped. Powers range wildly in abilities and range and they could not all be described in one list. All gods and goddesses, however, have the ability to change to the form of their choosing, visit the ‘afterlife’, a heaven-esque place for all good souls and gods, visit the nether, (although it is frowned upon by ‘good’ gods), and are immortal and unable to be permanently killed. Some gods choose to have a ‘mortal body’, and if that body is destroyed or ‘killed’ they will have to regenerate a new one. But their essence is impossible to destroy completely.
Israphel: Demon. Demons are immortal beings that have turned pure evil. They are less powerful than gods, but still have a vast range of abilities depending on what kind of demon they are. Like gods some demons are more powerful than others, with the most powerful being able to communicate with Minecraftians and possibly take over worlds and the weakest taking the form of ‘mobs’, unnatural creatures that grow in the pits of the Nether and torment mortals on the surface. Like gods, they cannot be permanently killed, and if their mortal form is destroyed they will simply be sent back to the nether to reform and return to the overworld in a never ending cycle. The only way to truly defeat a demon is to somehow trap it in this rebirth cycle, a feat only known to have successfully been completed once.
Lomadia: Avian. Another humanoid species, different most notably for having an extra set of limbs in the form of wings. They live in secluded villages in mountainous areas where the air is clearer and often may end up quarreling with dwarves who may have settlements in the mountains. (Note: Avians are not the same as angels, who commonly take the form of winged humanoids but are very different for several reasons.)
(thank you for reading of you got this far. i’ll prob update this at somepoint with other yogs, this is just my basic world building headcanon)
edit: added KirinDave since i know who he is now
edit 2: added some additions (Lomadia, Strife, Parvis,) as well as edited some old entries (just grammar stuff nothing important)

another ask i am screen-shotting because i get paranoid
Tumblr media
GFHSJF i dunno Maybe, probably not in this scenario tho just because this AU is on a weird fucking path of like an AU of an AU thats getting complicated, and i feel a bit weird immediately forcing my content on any ship possible. if i have ideas i have ideas and ill make content, but if i dont have a specific idea im like. IDK. shrugs. i get wrapped up in making reasoning and plot behind kid AUs and itd just be WACK to try to make something like this happen twice in a death game canon.
maybe for fun ill draw a one off thing, idk. i do headcanon SM as a lumian tho so do with that as you will

been talking sbk species headcanons with solar and fluffy so i wanna write down what ive got so far. note: does not cover everybody bc i have not sufficiently rotated every blorbo
viking: phantom human-adjacent. i dont know what his deal is but he's got the pointy ears as usual.
ruby: mimic. typically has pointy ears and allay wings, also as usual
vintage: some sort of fae creature
trog: eldritch horror. potentially may have kill-and-replaced the "actual" trog. looks human but there's just Strange Vibes about them
kitt: red panda hybrid but also a liiiittle bit sculked
m1g: lumian (fanmade alien species from the yogscast fandom, most notable/consistent trait is glowy freckles. i love lumians so they end up in my hcs a lot)
milkman: also a mimic but a more fucked up one / is actually able to do it at-will whereas ruby is influenced by their surroundings
neon: cyborg, looks mostly "normal" but has green circuitry visible
doovid: was the token human before getting monkeyified. he is not happy about this

1, 2, 8, 10, 13, 17 for Anitha and Griffin
1) Will your OC get married and with who?
Yes, Anitha does get married to Griffin some 2 years after graduating from Penderghast. Both of them unknowingly plan a proposal in the same place and say the words at the same time. I am getting some ideas for this and plan on writing a small fiction for this.
They have a small wedding at a temple, inviting only their families and close friends.
2) Will they have any children? What are their names?
Initially, Anitha expresses her reluctance to have kids as she was afraid of the pain she might have to face to abandon them if anything bad happens, just like how Theia had to separate her and Atlas after they were born. Griffin was her rock in that period of self-doubt, and told her that it was okay to feel that, and that having kids was her choice, whenever she felt ready.
Anitha and Griffin end up having twins, a daughter and a son. Their daughter's name is Mahi, after the characters in one of Anitha's favourite films, and their son's name is Louis, after Griffin's grandfather.
8) Greatest strength and greatest flaw about your OC?
Anitha's greatest strength: Outgrowing her fears. She is scared of the unknown, but always finds the willpower to overcome that fear.
Greatest flaw: She is too trusting. She believes that people can be fixed no matter what, even in the case of Kane. It's one of her weaknesses that Atlas scorns on.
10) Does your OC have a family tree? Who are their immediate and extended family if you created ones?
Anitha's caretakers grandparents were Indians who migrated and settled in America. While her dad doesn't have any siblings, her mom has a younger sister.
Biologically, her mother is a source so the other sources would be a part of her extended family and my headcanon is thag her father has an elder brother, Theo who is a professional thief player.
13) Does your OC have a good relationship with their parents or no?
Anitha shares a great bond with her caretakers, who have given her good values and knowledge and made her an empathetic and independent person.
She was initially uncertain of her relation with her birth-mother Theia, but after spending quality bonding time with her, she grows to love her. She likes to say that she has parents who gave life and parents who taught her to live.
17) Does your OC have a pet?
Yes, they have a golden retriever named Apollo and a grey tabby cat named Artemis, who get along great with Anitha's Lumian, Candy and Griffin's Aryulu, Teddy.

Alright, I'll ask~ I want to know why you draw Xeph with digitigrade. I actually went back and was like "oh yeah! His heels don't touch the ground when he's standing do they"
Okay! I’m actually rather glad someone asked, since I’ve wanted to put all my ideas about this into words for a while, just never got around to it x) But yeah, originally I drew both boys with digitigrade feet just as a random idea and a bit of practice drawing something different (you can see that picture here in my st.ash on dA!), not really planning to draw them that way again but- damn it those paws are fun. And now I’ve got little headcanon ideas for it, though I only draw Xeph digitigrade, since I prefer Will flat-footed and without a tail, so yeah! Here you go ^^ This got a bit long I apologise, but there are doodles in there too ‘cos I thought adding pictures would be fun ^^ And I got to draw more cute paws and toe beans x)
So, to put it simply, in modern times, there are two 'types’, or 'breeds’, I suppose, of lumians. Digitigrade lumians, like Xeph, and plantigrade lumians, like Strife. This is simply as a result of how they evolved hundreds of thousands of years ago. My lumians are a bit like felines in their anatomy really though, even the plantigrade ones (I mean, paws, retractable claws, tail, sharp teeth, they even purr damn it! x) ).
There are rough explanations for how this happened below the cut, if you’re interested, though that’s the basics of it ^^; (I can’t promise that any of this is scientifically accurate though I’m afraid, but I tried ^^; )
The difference between the two is really as a result of where different groups of individuals evolved, as with any species really. At some point groups of lumians moved away from their original forest homes and started keeping to the ground on much flatter terrain, where there were less predators to run from too, and the benefits of the digitigrade legs (speed and agility mostly) and the tails (extra balance when climbing, running and jumping etc), just, weren’t needed so much, and over time, those 'ground-dwellers’, as they became known, just lost those traits. Walking more flat-footed as their bone-structure changed over millennia of evolution and losing their tails too. The 'forest-dwellers’, however, kept these traits, since they were still using them, and still needed them to navigate their homes and avoid the predators that lived in the dense forests of prehistoric Lumi, and to catch fast moving prey. In days gone by, lumians could run on all fours too, though the traits that allowed them to that have long since disappeared.
Tumblr media
Plantigrade lumians are generally taller, though Xeph is short even by digitigrade standards- not that he really cares. The two type’s paws are more or less the same, the obvious difference being that digitigrade lumians walk on their toes whilst plantigrade lumians walk flat-footed, and the differences in their bone structure to allow this. Both have four toes and a fifth thumb digit, which works a bit like a dew claw really, retractable claws, and paw pads too, of course.
Tumblr media
Xeph’s ancestors were forest-dwellers (practically 'pure-blood’ in recent years, thanks to rather- prejudiced family who are a bit 'stuck in their ways’ as Xeph would say >
Tumblr media
It’s rare for the two types reproducing to cause problems though, usually offspring either have one set of traits or the other. Occasionally you’ll get a plantigrade lumian with a tail, or a digitigrade lumian without one. And whilst the latter can result in balance problems for the individual, lumian medical tech is pretty advanced and they probably have ways of combating it. But for the most part, the two can breed just fine. Fun fact; Xeph and Will were thinking of having kids before Xeph ended up Minecraftia, them being different didn’t deter them, they were excited! (And if Xeph hadn’t of crashed on Minecraftia when he did, they would have later had a pair of lovely twins, one of each type, but that’s a story for another day. ^^; )
Xeph is very fast on his feet, but only in short bursts, he can move quickly but not for very long. He’s a pretty good climber too, it’s in his blood, and can generally handle rough terrain pretty well despite growing up in the city. He’s small and nimble, and pretty agile when he wants to be. Will however isn’t as fast, but he can keep moving for a lot longer. Will is also a fair bit taller and despite being more stable walking flat-footed, he’s not so quick or agile and would much rather keep his feet on the ground.
tldr; Xeph is digtigrade, whilst Will is plantigrade, because they are different 'types’ or 'breeds’ of lumian. The former having evolved to move quickly through thick forests, sprinting after prey and avoiding predators, whilst the latter evolved to live on larger plains of flatter land, hunting prey over longer distances, and with fewer predators to avoid.
If anyone has anymore questions about my lumian headcanons please send them in! I love writing about this sort of stuff!! :D Be it about Lumi itself, or the lumians, or more specifically about Xeph and Will, go for it! :D My friend and I have discussed these boys and where they came from so much there’s probably something I can say for more or less any question you may have x) Maybe I’ll do a bigger thing about my lumians anatomy and biology, that could be fun actually :0
