the other agents must be going insane with marie talking about her weird ass fetish's and agent 4 is like: "wow shes so hot shes talking about my sweat she is my nest friend" and the others are gonna permasplat themselves

marie doesn't explicitly talk about it, but callie walking into the laundry room and seeing marie with the unwashed hero hoodie zipped around her head gave her a pretty big hint.

Even when they do, they keep it a pretty good secret. Marie goes out in her "incognito outfit" whenever they go out so the Public doesn't know. But their are times when their caught. They meet up after a concert or performance, Four shows up to the studio on occasion, sometimes the incognito outfit isn't enough, etc, etc. This causes some vague rumors.

"Is Marie of the squid sisters in a relationship!?"

"Marie seen out with random inkling?!?!"

That kind of stuff. They become more careful in public. Four at this point, has realized how much of a freak Marie is for her, and holds it over her head whenever their in public. Marie will be teasing her a little, and Four will just give her "The Look™" (bedroom eyes or something like that) and Marie immeditly knows that Four has all the power in that moment, and cuts it out.

But yeah, if the public ever did find out how Marie acts she would noonger have a career

Four's definitely a "THAT'S MY WIFE!!!" Kinda gal. She really will take any chance she can get to infodump all about Marie. Probably jumping up and down while stimming when she really gets into it. It's simultaneously adorable and the most embarrassing thing ever for poor Marie.

What do you think about ships like Agent 12 and Agent 32 (the Agent 4 ships to put it bluntly)

Let's start with some Basic Clarification: my own 4, Lucky, I don't ship with any of the other agents. She turns 15 when Callie and Marie are 20 and 8 and 3 are 18, it just feels weird.

But Agent 4's in general?

If you are NOT a minor, I recommend every single one of @jakearison 's M4rie fics, particularly this series, https://archiveofourown.org/series/3186111 . If you ARE a minor, I still recommend this G-rated fic of theirs, https://archiveofourown.org/works/43233876/chapters/108667206 .

Or how about Food Crimes, https://archiveofourown.org/series/2802121 , the series where Agents 3, 4, and 8 all fail at making food with and for their girlfriends. Yes, 96 content. (I'd link Pea's tumblr but I'm not sure she has one).

Wait, specifically the 4 ships. With names. Not with-random-awesome-enemy-octoling or whatnot. Which is a shame, I have a lot of bookmarks (and hidden bookmarks. Because I know a lot of minors read my stuff and look at my bookmarks and I am [mostly] a good influence) but... you didn't ask for fic recs either, did you? Got a little carried away, sorry.

If I didn't accidentally make it obvious, ship away. There are very few ships I won't read and don't enjoy. You can characterize the splatoon characters so many ways that just about anything is believable (and wonderful!), and as long as ages are acceptably close I won't bother raising an eyebrow. (And I'm one of the few who can, under some circumstances, be okay with adult/minor fics. I admit it. If 19/17 is okay but the second it becomes 20/17 it's not okay, we have to accept differing world views.)

...come to think of it, why have I not seen any C4llie fics that I can think of? I have seen SO MANY Deep Cut Polycules and CalCut Polycules, why not 4? 4 is *the* chaos agent. Gimme some 4rye, some Big 4, some 4ver (which has a bonus of being almost 4-ever, come on, NO ONE's taken advantage of that yet?! Please don't make me be the one to do it I'm not gonna get to it until I'm done with Terry's ridiculousness)...

Okay, I have no idea what a topic is or how to stay on it, but I think you get the idea!
