Hi. This is a long shot. But many, many years ago I read a darkBlaine fic where he lined up men and began killing them. I think the men were on their knees. Maybe Kurt was kidnapped? This part I’m not sure about. Please tell me I didn’t dream this. I’m pretty sure I read this. This is all I remembered. I think he was a crime boss, Mafia or something. I don’t think I finished the story. This is a very old story. So the older fans might be able to help me. Please? Thank you for all you do.
Hi - I checked with the author and it's this one. It's unfinished. ~Jen
A Mafia romance by @yadivagirl
Blaine is the son of a powerful crime boss. He has no intentions of joining the family business, especially since he finally has a gorgeous boyfriend named Kurt, but everyone else has other ideas. When Kurt gets caught in the middle, Blaine's true nature is unleashed. Like father, like son. Dark!Blaine. Features sex, violence, drug references, and heavy BDSM themes.
This story is all Klaine and features an eventually dark, over-protective Blaine, and a vulnerable, recovering, but strong Kurt. It's rated M for gay sex, gun violence, drug sales/use, language, heavy BDSM themes and sex toys.

Au where king Leland is part of some... shady stuff (basically mafia but medieval) and that his children where originally born to be tools for this business, with Blain being trained as a spy, and Lance being trained as muscle, both being trained in extreme brutality, and the general processes like killing and that sort of thing, while being under the threat of torture and/or death if they disobey Leland. Frederick, on the other hand, is basically treated as the medieval mafia's punching bag, being judged for his weak constitution (or if we're going with headcannon, physical disability), with the most ironic part being that Frederick often turns out to be an amazing leader, with all of it happening behind closed doors, enabling cannon events, until the pastel princesses find out about the mideval mafia and saving the three
For the tone of a least Blain's childhood, think this:
youtube
It also adds a very different tone to this one

One of the best parts of the Apollo Justice game is the absurdity of the situation Apollo is in. Imagine you get hired by Frankie Jonas (you have no idea who the Jonas brothers are) and get asked to defend a local disbarred lawyer (who you do know). That disbarred lawyer adopted Criss Angel's daughter after he disappeared. Frankie Jonas killed Criss Angel. Two months later you find out you're going up against Joe Jonas in court and you haven't even heard Cake By The Ocean. Your client is a member of the LA mafia.
The next case you're on is a murder at Joe Jonas' concert, which you were invited to by him. His guest act was Björk, who unbeknownst to you is your mother. Also the mother of Criss Angel's daughter. But your father is not Criss Angel, it's Sufjan Stevens (deceased). The murderer of Björk's manager was Joe Jonas' bandmate JinJoo Lee.
The game culminates in David Blaine (who was in love with your mom, Björk) confessing to framing Criss Angel for David Copperfield's (your grandfather) suicide, and Frankie Jonas admitting that he has committed a second murder. And your new boss has been working with Interpol or some shit for the last seven years to take Frankie Jonas down and get his badge back.

love the gym leaders that just refuse to have a regular gym building. to me, becoming a gym leader is the the real world equivalent of having a masters or doctoral on a specific field like anthropology or entomology. they are all insanely-skilled academicians who are really focused on their specific field/type.
agatha definitey had to drag blaine from spending all his time around the volcano in cinnabar and the pokemon there. lance definitely had to fight claire from spending all her time inside the dragon's den instead of her actual gym. wallace was at all times five seconds away from sending a search party for steven since he spends a lot of time training inside whatever cave he stumbled on.
elite four members are probably more insane. they only have to spend time at the pokemon league when a trainer get eight badges. these bitches can do whatever they want with their time. malva even had time to join the mafia.

Glee is the last link ,it's all coming together for me now
Ok so I'm bad with recognizing actors, but I started paying attention after THAT moment when I realized the music meister is Blaine Anderson.
Now everything is related to everything else.
Camilla is rent OBC's mimi, Vaggie is Mirable from Encanto aka Rosa from b99. Hazbin Lucifer is in the flash musial episode and also in SMASH, the music meister is Blaine Anderson who also happens to be St. Peter in Hazbin, Sebastian Smythe and Marley Rose fights the music meister (aka Blaine Anderson with diffrent hair) as the flash and supergirl, Hunter Clarington is Felicity's ex bf in Arrow, Carlos Valdes have a musical background, the guys that wrote dear evan hansen and lala land wrote running home to you, John Barrowman is here for some reason as a mafia boss, John Simm (the master) collaborated with Nolan Funk in a show once, and Hunter Clarington is in a nickelodeon show similar to high school musical called spectacular that somehow showed up on my youtube dash(honorable mention).
Is this chaos? Yes. Is it fun? Yes.
You can really see how chaotic my media consumption is.

What to watch during the ongoing WGA strike
As the WGA strike keeps going, put the pressure where it belongs: on big companies, not the writers working for better conditions.
While we wait for new content (after an equitable agreement), here are some lesser-known movies, along with the (US) streaming services where they can be found. Feel free to add on with a title, short description, and where it can be found!
(Television show version here!)
Films listed under the cut!
Tumblr media
Netflix:
The Gray Man (2022) - Rated R. A CIA spook known only as Sierra Six (Ryan Gosling) is assigned to kill a former Sierra member... only to find himself at the center of a conspiracy. At the same time, he becomes the target of a sadistic ex-CIA mercenary (Chris Evans).
Genre: Action/thriller. There are likely to be more Gray Man films coming in the near future, along with a television show based on Chris Evans's chillingly villainous Lloyd Hansen.
Rocky (1976) - Rated PG. Rocky (Sylvester Stallone) is a washed-up boxer who works as a Mafia enforcer. He gets an unexpected chance at glory when boxer Apollo Creed (Carl Weathers) wants to fight an unknown.
Genre: Drama/sports. If you don't know the story behind Rocky, it's almost as good as the movie itself!
The Imitation Game (2014) - Rated PG-13. The story of Alan Turing (Benedict Cumberbatch), particularly his work in World War II to decode Enigma transmissions intercepted from the Axis powers.
Genre: Biographical drama. The Imitation Game is the story of Alan Turing's life, both triumphs and tragedies. It contains themes of hidden homosexuality, cruel and unusual punishment, and suicide.
Max:
Triple Frontier (2019) - Rated R. An ex-Delta Force soldier (Oscar Isaac) asks his prior teammates to come on one final mission, with the promise of an incredible payout.
Genre: Action/adventure. Triple Frontier is a typical action/adventure movie with some interesting effects and a cast (Isaac, Ben Affleck, Pedro Pascal, Charlie Hunnam, and Garrett Hedlund) that elevates it a little further.
Parasite (2019) - Rated R. The Kim family struggles to make ends meet until Ki-woo is referred to tutor a rich teenager. Through manipulation and daring, the entire Kim family ends up employed by the unknowing Park family.
Genre: Black comedy/thriller. Full of fascinating dynamics and an interesting look at divisions of wealth in South Korea, it's clear to see why Parasite gained such acclaim.
Casablanca (1942) - Rated PG. Casablanca, Morocco is a popular departure point for people fleeing the Nazis. Jaded nightclub owner Rick Blaine (Humphrey Bogart) must decide whether to risk his life to help his ex (Ingrid Bergman) and her husband escape.
Genre: Romance/drama. Casablanca is considered by many to be the greatest movie ever made. If you haven't seen it, try it. Keep an eye out for dry humor and the way the director uses shadows to keep the black and white film interesting!
Ex Machina (2014) - Rated R. Caleb Smith (Domhnall Gleeson) wins an office lottery to help the company's CEO (Oscar Isaac) test his new AI (Alicia Vikander).
Genre: Sci-fi/psychological thriller. With incredible effects, a labyrinthine plot, and uncomfortable questions about what makes us human, it's easy to see why Ex Machina is considered one of the best sci-fi films of the last decade.
Hulu:
The Last Action Hero (1993) - Rated PG-13. Film fan Danny (Austin O'Brien) goes to see the latest in his favorite franchise, he finds himself pulled into the movie, working alongside his hero Jack Slater (Arnold Schwarzeneggar).
Genre: Fantasy/action/satire. Think of every action trope you associate with Arnold Schwarzeneggar, mix it with a vibe like Who Framed Roger Rabbit, and add some self-aware humor, and you have The Last Action Hero. This is not a popular film among internet aggregators, but I enjoyed it!
Palm Springs (2020) - Rated R. Reluctant maid of honor Sarah (Cristin Milioti) is fascinated by a wedding guest (Andy Samberg) who seems to know more than he should. When she follows him from the wedding, she finds herself stuck with him in a time loop.
Genre: Sci-fi/rom-com. Though Palm Springs has some real COVID-19 quarantine vibes, the plot keeps it from feeling like a time capsule.
Whiplash (2014) - Rated R. Talented drummer Andrew Neiman (Miles Teller) is identified for an elite jazz band by sadistic and manipulative conductor Terence Fletcher (J.K. Simmons).
Genre: Drama. Though Whiplash is not a horror movie, it is partially produced by Blumhouse Productions. That darkness really shines through in Fletcher's abusive behavior.
Role Models (2008) - Rated R. After a disastrous, drunken day at work, Danny (Paul Rudd) is assigned community service in a big brother program. He is assigned to awkward teenager Augie (Christopher Mintz-Plasse) and accompanies him during his favorite activity: LARPing.
Genre: Humor. Though Role Models can get a little close to cringe comedy, it's got enough genuine humor and heart to get away with it... and even be a little sweet.
Amazon Prime:
The Grand Budapest Hotel (2014) - Rated R. An author tells the story of Zero Moustafa (Tony Revolori), the owner of a once-grand hotel in the former country of Zubrowka, using several frame stories.
Genre: Drama. Wes Anderson's films have a very characteristic style. The Grand Budapest Hotel features stunning sets, a ton of cameos, and enough quirky humor to keep you entertained!
Hot Fuzz (2007) - Rated R. London police officer Nicholas Angel (Simon Pegg) is reassigned to the small town of Sandford. He's frustrated by the small town at first, but a string of murders make him suspect something more is going on...
Genre: Action/comedy. Hot Fuzz is the second installment of the Cornetto Trilogy. It is a satirical look at the cop film genre - and thus has a lot of overdramatic violence - but it manages to stand on its own at the same time.
Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure (1989) - Rated PG. Bill (Alex Winter) and Ted (Keanu Reeves) are two teens more interested in their band than their studies. But if they don't pass their history final, Ted will be sent to military school. A mysterious stranger gives them a time machine, sending them off to write the best essay of all time!
Genre: Comedy/sci-fi. If you're used to Keanu Reeves as a broody hero, you're in for a shock and a treat to see him at his surfer/stoner/slacker best!
The Iron Giant (1999) - Rated PG. In 1957, 9-year-old Hogarth Hughes finds a 50-foot tall robot in the woods. He befriends the giant and the two work to evade the government, who suspect it is an attack on the United States.
Genre: Family/adventure. The Iron Giant is one of the most recognizable and emotional animated films of the 1990s - extra impressive considering it's a Warner Bros film that came out in the middle of the Disney Renaissance!
Disney+
The Boondock Saints (1999) - Rated R. Irish Catholic brothers Connor (Sean Patrick Flanery) and Murphy (Norman Reedus) living in 1990s Boston are sick of the crime on the streets. They decide to take matters into their own hands.
Genre: Crime/drama. The Boondock Saints has low scores on almost every film aggregator site, but is widely considered a cult classic. (Edit: warnings for insensitive portrayal of homosexuality and transgenderism.)
Feel free to reblog this and add your own lesser-known film suggestions! Support the WGA strike!
The Reluctant Dragon (1941) - Rated G. Robert Benchley wants to sell a movie idea to Walt Disney. As he searches for Walt, he wanders through the studio and sees how many of the magical movie effects are done.
Genre: Family/fantasy. I'll admit, this film was included on purpose. Not because it's amazing (it's interesting at best), but because of the story behind it. The Reluctant Dragon was released three weeks after the majority of the animators went on strike. (And most of the "workers" in the film are actually actors, another sore spot.) Disney fired all of the strikers before eventually agreeing to let them unionize and rehiring those who wished to return. (You can read more about the strike here.)

Tell me all about your lore for Pryce. I just finished the GSC Adventures manga chapter last week and I'm intrigued.
((WELP TIME TO TAKE A CROWBAR TO THAT PARTICULAR BOX, SORRY PANDORA BUT WE BUSTIN' THIS WIDE OPEN--))
((Going to put it under a read more because this is gonna get long, detailed and contain spoilers up to the GSC chapters of Adventures.))
So firstly, to get the big weird one out of the way: I have NO IDEA why the manga characterized Pryce the way they did. In literally NOWHERE ELSE will you get "takes over Team Rocket to grab Celebi" from this old man. Hell, the need to make ANOTHER Team Rocket villain when Giovanni is STILL ALIVE boggles the mind.
But so this gives us the question: how do you balance the idea of the Masked Man with his usual in-game depiction of "stern but cares about you" grandpa?
My answer? Batman.
Let me elaborate:
Before Red goes in and defeats Giovanni, Team Rocket is everywhere, and I do mean everywhere, in Kanto. On top of that, the manga even has Gym Leaders like Surge, Koga and Blaine working as members of Team Rocket. Now I don't think this means they all joined willingly--heck, my idea for Koga is that Team Rocket forced him to join by holding Janine hostage--but if the idea of a criminal organization having members in essentially government/leadership positions sounds like some Batman comics where he was fighting the Mafia instead of one of his rogue's gallery? Yeah, I picked up on that too.
When we see Team Rocket in GS/HGSS, it's three years after they've been disbanded. Considering that they were well situated in Kanto by the time RGB/FRLG happens, you would think in-universe (because we know irl it was more "shit wait we get to make a SEQUEL???") they'd be able to cross the border more easily. UNLESS someone was sabotaging their attempts to sneak across the border or bribe/persuade Johto officials. And who better than a Gym Leader of Johto, and an experienced one at that?
Putting this all in a more protagonist light also recolors Will, Karen, Green and Silver's inclusion, because as we all know, Batman also adopted kids. In this case however, Pryce would want to minimize the involvement of his wards in his vigilante work. He's canonically a grandfather after all, so keeping kids safe would be a high priority of his.
Now obviously there are way too many "Masked Men" characters in Pokémon. However, Pryce isn't actually bat-themed either (that would be Koga). So I took some liberties to redesign the outfit and give it a new name.

To liven up your dash, tell us your thought process when writing A Political Romance and A Mafia Romance.
Lol! I don't think this will liven up my dash but I appreciate the question.
Let's see...I'm one of those people who immediately assigned Blaine the older, dark, mysterious, handsome role from the moment he appeared on Glee. In other words, I'm a S2 Blaine girl. Based on my personal head cannon, I wanted to see Blaine really take charge and remain in that role. As we now know that is NOT the direction the writers took and that's totally fine. I'm capable of doing everything myself. Hmph. Lol!
So, A Political Romance and it's sequel basically grew out of my desire to see a strong, in charge, overly protective, obsessive Blaine who's totally in love with Kurt. I'm honestly not sure where the supernatural bit came from because I am not a sci-fi fan in the least, but I will admit that it made it easier to develop a story that had Blaine doing some questionable things at certain times.
As for A Mafia Romance (which, yes, I still plan to finish one day) that story comes strictly from my love of all things Mafia. I've seen the Godfather movies too many times to admit and can quote them all almost word for word. I also love, love, love, Goodfellas but the Godfather holds my heart. Blaine being a mob boss fits in nicely with my S2 dark, mysterious Blaine head cannon.
As for the BDSM-ish sex in both, that's my kink and I'm proudly owning up to it. Ha!
So, yeah. There you have it. Thanks for asking!

kid au where Isolde divorced Leland, and theyre basically living in this small town. Fun and cute, right? Oh, except Blaine is like. a menace.
he gets into scruffles with Syrah, trading biting remarks with her. they become nemesis. he falls into the lake with Saffron, listening to him describe all the plants he stole from his neighbor's yards. he helps Monika break into the zoo and just stays by her side so she can explore w him. Nell and Jolie r pretty chill with him, except Nell doesn't exactly talk to anybody and Jolie's got him as her merchant in the lil business she has that's run like the Mafia. Abbi bothers him a lot for fun and Blaine goes to the arcade just so he doesn't lose 24/7 to her whenever she challenges him. Aurelia and him have a spiteful comradery.
There's a moment that he comes by the CPC club meeting place (which is like an abandoned house or something in the woods) and everybody just kinda looks around and they all know him yet they don't quite know his name.

The worst thing about the 1983 TV series of "Casablanca" is the missed opportunity of Ray Liotta staring in that train wreck.
Tumblr media
I mean you have Ray Liotta, tough guy of mafia movies, and majestic ham of the fantasy B-movie "In the Name of the King"....and you cast him as Sascha?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
If you're going to bastardize the Greatest Movie Ever Made, I can't think of a more entertaining star to ham it up as Rick Blaine than Liotta. It would have been gold. They were so close to B-movie magic.
I'm also extremely disappointed that neither series risked fucking up Ugarte, because that would also have been a roit. Whether it was someone attempting a terrible Peter Lorre impression, or a pathetic attempt to re-imagine the character in some ridiculous way, it would have been a treat.
As it is, both shows are just bad enough to be awful, but not enough to be entertaining.
If I could rewind time and make ass-trocious "Casablanca" reboot, I'd do it in the 1990s, when that hideous colorized version came out. And my cast would be:
Ray Liotta as Rick Blaine
Nicolas Cage as Victor Laszlo
Elizabeth Berkley as Ilsa Lund
John Malcovich as Captain Louis Renault
Jeremy Irons as Major Strasser
Samuel L. Jackson (in his pre-memetic-badass days) as Sam
Brad Dourif attempting a Hungarian accent as Ugarte
Richard Griffiths (Vernon Dursley) hamming it up as Ferrari
Bob Saget as Sascha.
I mourn the classic riff bait that either of the "Casablanca" shows might have been.

Do you know if A Mafia Romance has been officially abandoned?
I reached out to @yadivagirl and this is her response. ~Lynne
Hi there! Ugh. No, I haven't abandoned it, but have also been very, very slow with my writing - obviously. I think the only fair answer on when it will continue is, eventually.

hiii ✏️🔍☂️
Hi Dee 💙🫂😘 (get to know me)
✏️ when did you start writing fanfic
My first fic I wrote when I was 14. It was on my mother language and about kurt/blaine from glee(I actually like watched some their moments and only some first eps of glee don't judge me please). But I deleted it fast cause I had really offensive comment and well my self esteem always low. So I was writing a little bit for myself in dif fandoms, but deleted it from my comp or throw away notes. Only in buddie fandom I felt inspired again to actually write and share.
🔍 what character do you enjoy writing for the most
I love to write for Buck cause I love him and well I'm so buckcoded. But I also enjoy write Eddie and Bobby (especially Bobby in au I write now. He's my fav there)
☂️ your favorite fanfic from another writer
IT'S SO HAAAAAARD. So I will give some latest fics I've read which just made me feel so many things and change me as person
forget-me-nots by so incredible talented @anxieteandbiscuits
Eddie loses memory close to their wedding about everything from 2015 and need to again fight internalized homophobia when he has a whole fiance, try to live without memories of 8 years of his life, find way to fall in love with Buck again.
JUST READ IT TRUST ME
we are a fresh page on the desk (filling in the blanks as we go) by my super talented love @heartbeatdiaz
Author Buck and actor Eddie meet cute before Eddie's audition for Buck's book, but Eddie doesn't know he talks with his fav author. They work together for months and pining so so much.
If you need something for cute evening with tea under blanket TRUST ME it's ur choice
The Trouble With You Is  by so fantastically talented @princessfbi
Eddie is Deputy US Marshal Eddie and he should protec Buck from Doug cause he's mafia boss and Maddie offers to help put him under arrest. Enemies to lovers, forced roommates, really good action and brat Buck.
If you need something super new in aus for buddie I highly recommend
I should go and find myself (before I ruin someone else)  by my wonderfully talented love @monsterrae1
Buck is looking what best for him in the start of 6s and finds himself in other universe where Buck and Eddie were together, but Buck from this universe died a year ago, and Eddie can't deal with it. So Buck should find his answers here and help Eddie from this universe to move and continue living, not surviving for Chris.
THIS THING WRECKED ME SO GOOD. IT KILLED OLD DI AND MADE NEW ONE. I WILL NEVER BE THE SAME . But I so so so recommend at least once to read it.

Hi, how about the prompt game for klaine: mafia!au + childhood friends + “you know i’ll do anything for you.”
“Put the budgeting spreadsheet down and nobody gets hurt.”
“Can’t,” Kurt says, bleary eyes locked on his screen. “End of quarter tomorrow. Elizabeth’s Tailor is still in the red.”
Blaine perches on the edge of Kurt’s desk. “You have insurance, right? Fires happen all the time.”
Kurt’s mouth twitches. “Tell cooper he can keep the kerosene in the drawer tonight.”
“Hey,” Blaine says, strong earnestness in his voice. “You know I’ll do anything for you.”
Kurt swallows and cheeks flushed. He tears his gaze away and clears his throat. “I’m afraid I have to draw the line at insurance fraud.”
send me a drabble prompt!

Some notes:
Candy fascinates me as a character. I just love women in Mafia settings.
From one scene extra whose presence solved the case without interacting with any character to semi regular character with her own plot. Nice job, Carrie Anne Fleming. You pulled a Bryce Hodgson with even less material to work with.
The bangs look cute on her.
Also bonus points to put a woman over 35 as the eye candy (lame pun intended). **Looking at you, Hollywood**
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Some notes:
She was in clothes stolen from The Nanny's closet at her first appearances on season 1 and 2, cementing her status as a bimbo.
She went on more professional looks (yet still absurd) during season 2, marking her ascension as cosmetician.
The red saloon dress lives rent free in my mind. Ironically, once she became a Madame, that dress passed to a younger blond waitress that appears regularly as a background extra both in Shady Plots and the Scratching Post (I call her Candy 2.0).
Pic of her ass because reasons.
She turned into zombie after sleeping with Blaine in a coffin while he was playing the piano in boxers. #Iconic.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Some notes:
She went on more bold blues (one of Blaine’s colours) and make up on season 3 until she gets rejected. Then she switched to his opposite palette (red). The red top was the show's equivalent of Lady Di's revenge dress.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Some notes:
She appears always with gloves from season 4 onwards. It reminds classic Madames, but also, that her fingers were cut by Angus (seriously. I can’t find a clear picture of her fingers without gloves after that episode and her left fingers really seem missing on season 2 and 3).
The Russian Roulette scene has the sleeping mask in the same style as the red saloon dress. Nice callback as her status as Blaine's Bitch, in more than one way.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Some notes:
Candy genuinely enjoying Peyton’s karaoke performance warms my heart. Damn, she was so cute. She should have interacted with the heroes more.
The printed leopard shirt in her last scene at the Scratching Post. That woman is looking for blood.
The red leather jacket was sooo cool. I want one. She spitted on Blaine’s face and exited the show as the queen she is.

Notes: In case it wasn’t very clear, the chapter titles are the words that I made from the scramble letters and I even wrote down how many points I got for each word. I really liked this new challenge!
AO3 | S&C
YEAR - 7 points
“So, it all started last year. My dad got ill and it looked like he wasn’t going to make it – no worries, he’s fine now. But yeah, it got scary and my dad asked me and my stepmother to go through his belongings and stuff. After my brother died unexpectedly, we know what it’s like to be left behind with nothing arranged.”
That is a lot of information to take in.
Kurt says it with ease, but Blaine can hear a slight tension. It must’ve been really bad and stressful to have his brother die and then have his father almost die.
“While we went through his stuff, we found out we had some long lost family! My dad has two sisters! That is huge!”
“Let me guess, they’re from the Netherlands,” Blaine fills in.
Kurt nods.
“Yeah, there’s a lot of mystery surrounding my dad’s family. I never knew my grandparents either. Anyway, we contacted them and they were happy to hear from us. Turns out they didn’t really know of my dad either.”
Blaine nods in understanding. Contacting long-lost family feels like the dream. He hasn’t heard much from his family after he moved to this planet.
“People in the Netherlands speak English,” Kurt continues, “But, I don’t know, maybe it’s my ambitious side, but I’d love to learn the language. I originally considered asking them to teach me, but I want to surprise them.”
“Are you planning on visiting?” Blaine asks.
Kurt nods eagerly.
“Yes, we’re currently saving up. Hopefully next summer we’ll go there. We haven’t seen them in person yet.”
Blaine files that away for later. This means he’ll have one year to teach Kurt as much as possible. Of course, if Kurt lets him.
It’s a nice reason to learn a language. Yes, sometimes Blaine laments about how his superpower isn’t super useful, but it has also made Blaine appreciate language. Languages are a form of connection. It’s culture: history, art and community in one. Language, in all of its forms, be it written, spoken, signed (or other, Blaine knows that there are some other forms of language on some planets) is shared by everyone in the whole universe.
Sure, Blaine would love to have a superpower that makes it easier to find things he’s lost, but when he hears Kurt talk about how he’s excited about this prospect of connection, Blaine feels incredibly content.
“Sorry, am I boring you?” Kurt asks after a while. He’s realized that Blaine’s in his own world.
“No, of course not! On the contrary, I was thinking about how lovely this plan is.”
“You think?”
“Yeah, absolutely!” Blaine says excitedly, “I’ve heard several reasons why people learn a language and they’re all completely fine-” Well, apart from this one guy who wanted to speak Italian because he dreamt of joining the mafia “-but this one is definitely one of my favourites. It’s driven by love.”
Those are indeed Blaine’s favourites: people learning a language to welcome a new person, people learning a language to talk to their spouse’s family, people learning a language to impress someone they have a crush on.
Blaine just loves love!
