Inktober 2022 Day 31: Farm 🌾

At long last, we’ve reached the end of Inktober, for once with a word capable of taking a spooky turn—So that’s what I tried to do with it! 🎃 

 And, “go big or go home” as they say—This poem almost didn’t fit on the background! 🙈 

 After this, I think I’ve earned a treat. 🍬

Inktober 2022 Day 17: Salty 🧂 

I don’t like using this word this way, but you could say I’m a little “salty” with myself about how surprisingly difficult this Inktober was to put together. 😖

…Maybe I wouldn’t be if I’d started on it earlier in the day and had more time to think, but oh well it’s too late to worry about that now…

Inktober2022 Day 4: Scallop 🏖

In a rush again 🙃 Meant to get this done before we went out this evening, but it just didn’t happen. 

Scallops are marine life, food, and a decorative edge. I focused on two of those things. And why is there no classic scallop shell emoji!! 😦

Inktober 2022 Day 3: Bat 🦇

I know “scurry” was yesterday, but I’m the one scurrying to get this Inktober posted today since I had other stuff to do at the time just flew by!

But I love bats. Vampire, fruit, etc. So it’s not all bad. 🧛🏻‍♂️🍊

I could’ve gone gristly or rocky for this #inktober prompt, given what the word means & makes me think of. Clearly (I hope) I decided to go for rocky. 🪨

Inktober 2022 Day 13: Kind 💎 

This one might seem a bit off, but hear me out—We often think of “kind” in “soft” ways, but it can have its “sharp edges,” too. 

That’s what I was going for here; That often being Kind also means being Strong. 💪

Inktober 2022 Day 8: Match 🪄🪄

This Inktober background is possibly the best I’ve managed with the alcohol inks so far. I was going for a “match of matches.” 😜

And y’know, overall this might be my favorite of the bunch so far. ❤️‍🔥

[Also, why is there no matchstick emoji?? Magic wands aren’t the best substitute, but what else was I supposed to use?]

Not quite as late with today’s Inktober since I was better prepared after yesterday’s fiasco, but I didn’t want to “scurry” through it, either. 

I am glad I seem to be finding my poetic footing pretty well so far; Who knows if it’ll hold for 29 more days though…

I do like how this piece turned out, though it’s not quite as fitting for Inktober as I’d like—I was in a hurry and mistakenly thought the prompt was gearS plural, not geaR singular. 😅

Oh well; No point in being too hard on myself with only one day left…
