#from the drafts #this is purely shower thoughts but 😭#mainstat def aether vs atk lumine is actually so important to me #because it honestly sets a path for me to characterize them since canon gives us the same lines for whichever twin u chose #aether has that... younger even if by a minute energy. the energy where hes kinda aloof and sociable but still a bit of an awk kid #but lumine has the kind of stubborn daughter energy. where she just goes head first into an issue and just plans from there #i feel like current traveler interactions are more accurate to lumine than to aether because theyre only now starting to become more_#- passive aggressive #aether would take it reluctantly without voicing annoyance vs lumine that does get the job done but id bitter about it the entire trip #another thing i really like :( is those showcase videos where they put the twins fighting styles overlapped #and the way that they fight covers for each others gaps :(#where lumine goes in ruthlessly and aether covers for her weak points... their dynamic as siblings is SO important to me #i wish there were more backstory to them more of when they traveled other worlds more from when they were twin starts... anything!!!#their characters are so neat but quest wise we dont even have crumbs where threading w cells dawg 😭#anyways #genshin impact #i want u to know that the thing thats got me thinking about them rn is how i got xiao x aether as my assigned ship in that one buzzfeed #quiz #and i was like... xiaoae works but i dont see them being anything with lumi #and now that we're on that topic #i feel like a lot of traveler x character ships work with aether and not with lumine or they have a completly different dynamic #based on... well basically everything said earlier about their dynamics as siblings #xiao and lumi would never work because for lumi finding aether has no rock that will be left unturned #xiao has a duty with liyue... if lumi has to turn to darkness to save aether she will do it and she will not take betrayal lightly #aether would understand xiaos duty to liyue... he has a duty with lumi afterall. he bargains.#lumi on the other hand rejects #doormat dynamics 😃👍#i have two more drafts to make before the coffee wears off 😮‍💨👩‍❤️‍💋‍👩#this is in the queue as well LOL

notwriting related but who do you main in genshin? are there any characters you're pulling for in upcoming banners?

I swap between Yoimiya and Yelan, usually! They're both on my main team and Yelan does the big numbers where Yoimiya fills the gaps when Yelan's skill needs to recharge (both are at c1. I got Yoimiya's c1 on accident pulling for a 4 star on her banner bc I was going to stop the first time I got her 🥴)

My main team is Yoimiya, Yelan, Zhongli, and Kuki! My Kuki used to have a healer build but atm I'm trying to build an all EM set for her to see if it helps with damage more since I don't use her for healing now that I have Zhongli, just reactions (overloaded is so fucking funny,,, I love throwing enemies around 😭). When I did use her for healing though she did about 3.2-3.8k per heal, I think??? And her c2 or whichever one extends her skill timer gives like 24/7 skill uptime so it was really nice to have before I got Zhongli :]

And uhhh for upcoming banners, I'm honestly only really looking forward to Childe and Yae Miko since they're speculated to have an upcoming rerun I think? I'm mostly interested in the older characters than the new ones. I'm going to wait to see what Scaramouche is like as a playable before deciding on him, and as far as the new characters go I only really want Dehya and maybe Al-Haitham if his kit is good (but then again I might pull for him bc he's hot and I am weak willed).

#gt rambles #not writing #asks #like I was kinda 'meh' on al-haitham but i love his personality so much. he just does not give a fuck #and dehya is hot and strong and would intimidate me irl so obv i'm pulling for her #i used to main ayato bc he was my first dps 5 star character. i'd lost the 50/50 on raiden's banner to qiqi #and i hadn't even gotten a 5 star before then. literally was at like 90 pity iirc #and then on ayato's banner it took me til like 80 pity i think >;(#i've had semi-decent luck on banners since then but i stopped being f2p bc of it since i would lose every single 50/50 #and/or would have to go to hard pity #anyway. yelan's hot and does good damage :)#yoimiya does. not super great damage but i also speed-built her and shimenawa domain hates my fucking guts #it doesn't even give me emblem anymore it just gives me def mainstat shimenawa pieces.... why.........#i got all of ONE (1) good circlet from that domain and ig it decided ''that's enough of that :)'' and never again #i need to build my cryo characters though bc I got an almost perfect blizzard set when farming for HoD 😭 I don't have any built cryo dps..
