the viscount who loves his princess - I
Tumblr media
Summary: “A new romance has bloomed in one enchanting night? Princess Senju and Viscount Mikey share a special night together under the radiant garden of the Palace.” Takeomi read loudly on the first page of broadside that morning.
Senju could only heave a deep breath before sipping the cup of Earl Grey slowly to her lips.
“You’ve been seeing Viscount Mikey without any chaperone? Lady Whistledown is having a field day with your scandals.” Haruchiyo snorted as he prepared a cup of coffee for himself.
“You know how Lady Whistledown is. So, stop believing her stories for a moment. It’s quite exaggerated sometimes. Besides, I am not going out with that fool! Hell freezes over that happens!” She exclaimed indignantly.
A chance encounter between the Viscount and the Princess which caused a rumor mill circulating in their town.
(A/N: This was supposed to be a sequel from that Doramitsu regency fic I’ve written a long time ago. But plot bunnies came out of me and decided that “oh hey wait a second. Why don’t we make a multichaptered crossover regency period fic series between Tokyo Revengers and Blue Lock in the world Bridgerton?” And here you go. This is the second part of this series with Maisenju as the main pairing. Takes place after the events of the first series of this fic, “sweet liaisons.” I don’t own anything from this franchise. Respective ownership belongs to Muneyuki Kaneshiro and Yusuke Nomura for this wonderful manga and Julia Quinn for this romantic book and series.)
“Senju! Are you done yet? You’re going to be late for the special occasion arranged by the Queen herself. It’s not a good image for a lady to be tardy.” Her older brother, Takeomi,   admonished her from downstairs while Senju struggled adjusting the straps of her corset inside her room.
“Give me a few minutes! This dress is bollocks! Why do I even have to wear this ridiculous thing in the first place?!” Senju exclaimed indignantly as she finally laced the straps successfully around her torso but not before holding her damn breath for a few minutes.
Jesus Christ.
Why do women like her must suffer from these societal expectations in the first place?
“It’s not that hard to put on the corset if you listen carefully to what the teacher has been teaching to you before!” Takeomi replied in exasperation. “Also, Haru get the carriage ready so that we won’t be late this evening!” He added.
“I’m on it!” Haruchiyo’s voice rang from the background.
Senju tuned them out and focused on putting the gown next to her body.
“If you’re not down here yet within a minute, I’ll go up there to see what’s the problem!” Takeomi’s annoying voice rang out again.
“Hold your horses! I’m done already!” Senju yelled back in exasperation.
With a one, last inspection on her frame and face in the mirror, she quickly went out and closed the door behind her and walked downstairs.
“Finally!” Takeomi exclaimed before he inspected her critically from head to toe.
“Not bad. Although next time try it with your hair down in curls. That seemed to be the thing these days.” He commented.
Senju rolled her eyes. “Oh hush. I tried my best in making a French braid for this occasion. The least you can do is take notice of them naturally.” She replied in a grumpy voice as she walked diligently inside the carriage.
They finally reached the palace wherein several guests and royal families were already present and going inside.
Senju grew nervous.
Even if she was naturally born confident and used to be under the scrutiny of other people, this was still different because she was facing the Queen at this event.
Her Majesty will choose tonight who will be crowned as the Diamond girl this year.
Senju had no patience for events like this. She’d rather go to the forest and hunt some wild boars or practice fencing while she’s at it.
But alas, if there were advantages in being born in an upper-class, royal family there were disadvantages as well.
Especially if she’s the only female sibling of the Akashi family and a princess, nonetheless.
The responsibility fell on her to carry their name in the social class and mingle herself with the ladies in the same social stratum and earn herself a status befitting of a princess and marry off an earl or duke for that matter.
Just the mere thought of those weighted responsibilities solely put upon her made her want to throw a fit and leave this place. But she kept her composure and calm.
‘This is just for tonight. Tomorrow you can do whatever you like.’ She chanted at herself as she took a deep breath and got ready.
“Okay remember what we’ve taught and practice beforehand.” Takeomi reminded her when he helped her in getting out of the carriage.
“Yes, my dear brother. You have reminded me of these several times already that I’ve lost count.” She deadpanned.
“This is for your own good and so that you won’t be making any mistakes.” The muffled voice of her other sibling, Haruchiyo said from behind her.
“Oh please. You’re the last person I should hear of this from you.” Senju groused.
“Stop with these childish acts you two.” Takeomi admonished them and Senju kept her mouth shut but not without a small pout gracing her features.
Nevertheless, upon arriving inside the palace, she quickly schooled her features into a pleasant smile and moved with a ladylike grace even though she felt her muscles stiffened at the strict movements of her body.
“Oh my. Princess Senju fancy seeing you here. You look lovely as always.” The light and feminine voice of Hina caught her attention and she beamed at her.
“You look breathtakingly beautiful as well, Lady Hina.” Senju complimented her in a sincere manner. It’s true that Hina was one of the loveliest ladies in their town. And one of the most graceful and dignified as well.
With her alabaster skin, slender frame, beautiful ginger locks and a beatific smile, who wouldn’t fall for her beauty and charms? It’s probably a normal day for her tending to her suitors who visited her abode every day.
Moreover, she wouldn’t be surprised if she earned the Diamond girl status from Her Majesty tonight.
“Oh, shush you... You still got a silver tongue beneath your mischievous nature.” Hina chuckled softly under her breath.
As she was about to respond, another familiar voice caught her attention and turned around to see the smiling face of Emma waving simply and approaching them.
“Princess Senju. Lady Hina. What a pleasant night it is to see you both here.”
“Same here Lady Emma. You’re looking lovely as always.” Senju replied smilingly. Unlike her brother, Mikey, Emma is a pleasant woman to be around and not infuriating. Senju wondered how she could tolerate her brother's impertinence daily.
“Why thank you. I do hope that my brother hasn’t been a nuisance to you lately.” Emma replied jokingly.
“Tell me about it. There hasn’t been a day when he wasn’t bothering me every time when we crossed paths around the city.” Senju replied with a small pout on her face as she took some glass of punch from the waiter who was circling around and giving them.
Emma chuckled softly under her breath. “Forgive my brother. It seems that he has a habit being like that with you.”
“Well, I would appreciate it if you can inform him that he needn’t to do that everyday.” Senju replied as she took a sip from the glass of punch.
Her eyes darted around when she heard some announcement in the middle of the stage.
“Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. It’s our pleasure to have you here on this occasion for the annual event of Her Majesty choosing our precious Diamond for this year. As you may know we have gathered some reputable candidates to be crowned for tonight.” A male announcer said and the Queen finally appeared and was sitting down on her throne.
“Oh! It’s finally starting.” Senju uttered to herself and hastily put the glass of punch from the side of the table to make her way towards the direction wherein several female candidates were lined up from the corner.
The next few moments passed in a blur with the ladies performing one by one in front of the Queen with their practiced grace and dignity in front of her.
Senju watched in awe as the ladies before her performed a graceful dance and curtsied in front of the Queen. Hina and Emma’s performance were outstanding in her eyes and they moved as if it they were born for the role itself.
Her heart pounded and her anxiety spiked as her part will be coming soon.
She finally took a deep breath when it was her turn and tried to calm down her frayed nerves.
‘You got this Senju! Your brothers are watching so you need to get it together!’ Her mind tried to cheer for her.
As soon as it was her turn, her mind and body focus on the present situation beforehand and her movements, remembering on what was taught to her by her governess. Her movements were fluid and clear as she danced elegantly to the tune of a minuet which was a stately ballroom performed under the courts.
The audience watched her in rapt attention and captivation as she moved in a slow yet elegant manner against her assigned partner.
It was already nearing perfect when she accidentally stepped on her gown and stumbled down on the ground.
‘Oh bollocks! Why did it have to be now!’ Senju’s mind raced at her mistake before she quickly stood up as if nothing happened and resumed dancing the few remaining steps and tune of the piece.
She quickly bowed when she was finished and went to the side.
“You were great out there.” Emma whispered sincerely beside her.
“I’m glad that you think so even if I may have ruined it in the end.” Senju whispered back with a wry smile on her.
“Oh hush. Everyone makes a mistake. At the very least you’re still graceful at the end.”
Senju was about to reply when the announcer’s voice chimed in at the stage once again.
“Tonight we’ve seen these wonderful ladies with their immense talents of course. But only one can prevail. And for tonight’s Diamond coronation, Her Majesty is bestowing the crown to Lady Emma Sano of the Sano family.”
Emma’s eyes grew wide for a moment before a surprise yet victorious smile broke out from her lips.
Senju quickly hugged her before she let go. “Congratulations Lady Emma! You certainly deserved it. Now go get your crown up there.”
Emma hugged her back before she pulled away. “Thank you, Princess Senju.” She murmured before she made her way up the stage and accepted the crown bestowed by the Queen on her head.
Senju gave a round of applause amongst the crowd. There was no ill-feeling of envy or regret in her bones as she knew that there were other outstanding and well deserving ladies who much deserved it rather than her.
Nevertheless, there might be a lecture waiting for her back in the household from her older brother again of not trying her best.
Oh well.
Best of luck next time.
“Ah, finally. Some peace and quiet.” Senju sighed in contentment as she sat on the grassy field filled with small flowers. She took a quick detour and a needed break from the bustling crowd inside the palace.
Her eyes gazed upwards to the sky which was filled with countless stars that made up for the brilliant darkness tonight.
“I’m getting sleepy. Hopefully, the occasion will be over soon.” Senju mumbled to herself.
“It’s a good thing that the household princess doesn’t trip or bumped into someone with that tall heel of yours.” The familiar, idle voice sang from the background which made Senju ground her teeth and faced him with an exasperated smile on her face.
“If it isn’t the infamous viscount or should I say the manchild of the Sano household.” She quipped back, looking at him from head to toe with an unimpressed look on her face.
Although she inwardly admitted that Mikey looked dashing in a velvet crimson robe which had a circular cut, a pair of shiny, coal hued boots and a nice woolen white cloth inside his robes which leant him a regal, sophisticated aura despite his miniature height and youthful, vibrant face. Nevertheless, she wouldn’t admit that outwardly to him. His ego was huge enough like an inflated balloon and she didn’t want him to get the idea that she was disgustingly smitten towards him like of those other women who was besotted and would probably throw themselves at his feet if given a chance.
Senju was better than that and had more acquired tastes thank you very much.
“And you’re the infamous princess who moves like a man and curses like a sailor.” Mikey replied playfully.
“Have you ever heard of the word assertive and adventurous? I guess not when you’re used to women who threw themselves at you.” Senju snorted. “And what brings you here by the way?”
“Me? I’m just the dignified chaperone of my sister tonight considering that Ken has already resume his duties as a duke and travelled to another land away from here. And maybe I’m the good luck charm seeing that she won tonight!” Mikey replied with an impish grin on his face.
“Oh please. Don’t think highly of yourself. Lady Emma won because of her grace and efforts and not because of you or someone else.” She scoffed lightly.
“What can I say? Being successful and victorious runs in our blood.”
“God, I’m just speechless at your conceited nature.”
It made Mikey laugh in amusement while Senju rolled her eyes and looked away.
After a while, Mikey refrained from laughing until it was quiet between the two of them but only for a moment.
“Even if you didn’t get the coveted Diamond status from the royal family tonight, you’re still great on your own.” He said quietly.
His words made Senju turn around to face him before looking away, feeling the tips of her ears growing hot.
She needed to leave this place and away from this viscount who’s making her feel strange inside.
Senju tried to get up, but it proved to be a struggle due to the weight of her gown.
Her actions were noticed by Mikey who looked at her curiously.
“Where are you going?”
“Away from you.” She retorted. “It’s a lovely and peaceful night here before your presence has ruined it.” She added with a scoff before she tried to stand up again, but it was futile.
“Need some help?” He asked with a hint of amusement.
Senju glared at him before a deep sigh left her lips.
“Yes please.” She muttered as she accepted his offered hand and tried to stand up again but not before she lost her balance and toppled down.
Together they tumbled down on the grassy field with Senju laying on top of him while Mikey laid beneath her.
They looked at each other with wide eyes before Senju struggled to pull herself away from him, her cheeks burning in mortification.
And that’s how one of the maids from the palace found them in the garden under a compromising position.
‘Couldn’t this night get any better?’ She thought sardonically to herself.
The next day at the Akashi household...
“A new romance has bloomed in one enchanting night? Princess Senju and Viscount Mikey share a special night together under the radiant garden of the Palace.” Takeomi read loudly at the first page of broadside that morning.
Senju could only heaved a deep breath before sipping the cup of Earl Grey slowly to her lips.
“You’ve been seeing Viscount Mikey without any chaperone? Lady Whistledown is having a field day with your scandals.” Haruchiyo snorted as he prepared a cup of coffee for himself.
“You know how Lady Whistledown is. So stop believing her stories for a moment. It’s quite exaggerated sometimes. Besides, I am not going out with that fool! Hell freezes over that happens!” She exclaimed indignantly.
“Language.” Takeomi warned her.
“But it was an accident! I just stumbled upon him and—.” Senju stopped midway before getting up. “It’s no use. Just don’t pay attention to those bollocks.” She grumbled as she began walking out of the house.
“Where are you going young lady?” Takeomi asked.
“Just at the market. I may need to buy something to ease my growing vexation towards this nonsense. Don’t worry I’ll be back in a moment.” Senju didn’t wait for Takeomi’s response and took her hat, putting it on and leaving the house.
“Just let her go for now big brother. Senju is growing up and she’ll grow out of that phase.” Haru said casually.
“I can’t believe I’m dealing with you two.” Takeomi replied in resignation before shaking his head and focusing back on reading the next page of his broadside.
“Oh no I’m late! I need to deliver these parcels soon to Mrs. Springfield and—.” Takemichi’s hasty murmurs to himself and running across the street were cut off when he suddenly bumped into someone, resulting in his parcels falling to the ground and him stumbling on his feet.
“Can’t you see where you’re going you fool?” An exasperated voice caught his attention, and he was met by a young man who was dressed majestically and possessed an aura that screamed of royalty and wealth.
‘Is he a member of the royal family? If he is, then I should’ve known him! But it’s the first time I’ve seen his face around here.’ Takemichi’s thoughts raced inside his head as he tried to get up and bowed respectfully at him.
“My deepest apologies Sir! It’s not my intention to ruin your day in this city. I am just in a hurry to deliver these important parcels!” There was a tinge of regret and apology in his tone, but he still didn’t raise his head for fear of disrespecting him again.
“Do you know my name boy?” The man asked haughtily.
“N-no...” Takemichi stammered. Was he supposed to know him?
The man looked at him with a cruel amusement on his eyes and a complacent smile on his lips.
“Raise your head boy.” He ordered.
Takemichi quickly complied and stared into his eyes which were startingly deep blue. He possessed an aristocratic nose and a small yet perfectly shaped pair of lips. He tried not to be distracted by the arresting features of the man and tried to focus on the present situation at hand.
“I am an Earl. An Earl you foolishly bumped into. And for me to be able to forgive you, kneel before me and kiss my shoes.” The man remarked casually as he inspected his nails in a disinterested manner.
“P-pardon sir...?” Takemichi paled as he blinked at him owlishly.
“You heard me, right? Or your line of hearing has a defect too and I must need to repeat myself?” The man replied sardonically.
Before Takemichi could reply, a familiar, casual yet firm voice rang behind him which made him turn around and met the displeased expression of Chifuyu in front of him.
“Takemichi? Is this fellow bothering you?”
“Prince Chifuyu!” Takemichi gave a quick, respectful bow before standing up straight. “This is nothing that you should be worried about—.”
“Oh? Who is this interesting lad beside you hmm? It seems that she’s gotten up at the wrong side of the bed.” Kaiser cut him off silkily and asked in his usual airy voice.
“It’s Prince Chifuyu to you.” The blond glared at him and for his impertinent words.
“Oh, my bad. My name is Earl Michael Kaiser. But you can address me as Michael if you want.” Kaiser remarked with a playful wink thrown over his direction.
“I believed it is not appropriate to address you so casually when were not even acquiantances.” Chifuyu huffed. “Also, I would appreciate it if you stop harassing my friend and let him do whatever errands he needs to do today.” He added stonily.
Kaiser raised his hands placatingly. “I seek no trouble Prince Chifuyu. In fact, I’m getting acquianted with the citizens here seeing that I may stay here for awhile.”
Chifuyu was about to retort when the rushing footsteps from the background caught his attention and saw a young man with dark blue hair and dressed in a formal whiteshirt and light brown pants.
“My Lord! Where have you been? Your Grace has been looking for you!” He exclaimed when his eyes landed on the familiar figure of the royal prince which made him bow immediately.
“Good day Prince Chifuyu! Please forgive me for not being able to greet you first when I came here.” He said in an apologetic voice.
“Calm down Yoichi. I’m sure that my absence for a few minutes will not merit any hindrance or trouble to the events at all.” Kaiser remarked idly.
“Good day to you too Sir Yoichi. Are you with the Earl Kaiser?” He asked.
“Yes. I’m one of his advisors. And we’re here because we’ve been invited by the Queen for an event in this place.” Isagi replied when his eyes landed on the familiar figure of Takemichi whose eyes lit up in recognition but both kept their silence for the meantime.
“I see. It seems that the Earl has taking into a liking of this place seeing that he was already going for a stroll around the streets.” Chifuyu remarked.
“Indeed Prince Chifuyu. Now, if you’ll excuse us, we must be going on our way now.” Isagi replied in an apologetic voice.
“Of course. Don’t let us hold you both back.” Chifuyu replied in a congenial voice before he narrowed his gaze at Kaiser to which the other male smirked at him.
“We’ll be on our way then.” Isagi gave a quick respectful bow and shot a meaningful glance at Takemichi before he pulled the Earl away going back to their carriage and left them behind.
“That Earl is something else entirely.” Chifuyu said with a frown on his face. “He didn’t hurt you or anything Takemichi?”
Takemichi shook his head. “Not really. ‘Sides it’s quite my fault for bumping into him earlier. But I do appreciate your good timing. Now, I really need to go and deliver these items to Mrs. Springfield. See you later!” He quickly bid goodbye and ran off to the other side of the street.
Chifuyu watched him go, shaking his head a little before heading back to his own carriage and going back to the castle.
(A/N: Well, that’s wrap for the first chapter. The next and last chapter may take a while to be uploaded as I’m on a hectic schedule now with work. Hopefully, you’ll be patient enough to wait as it is. Reviews are amusing so let me hear them from you.)

1 and 2 for Senju!
Thank you for the ask! :D
1. I actually don’t ship Senju with anyone in particular? I like the idea of her with any of the girls, and Hakkai/Senju could potentially be cute, but honestly I don’t ship any of them with her particularly strongly, mostly because they just haven’t had many/any interactions yet. Actually thinking about it, I do like the idea of Sentakehina (Senju/Takemichi/Hina) too! I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone shipping it, and most people don’t like the idea of Senju with Takemichi which is fair enough, but I think it could be cute. I enjoy Senju and Takemichi’s dynamic platonically just as much if not more, though. 2. Don’t have any NOTPs for her either! I think a lot of people don’t like the thought of Senju ending up with anyone because it’d be nice to have a female character in TR without a romance for once, and I think that’s 100% valid, but I personally wouldn’t mind her being shipped as long as her character isn’t reduced to that ship, you know?? Also, I see a lot of hate for Maisenju, and I have to admit I do feel bad for Maisenju shippers lmao. I get why people dislike it, and I don’t particularly ship it either, but some people really hate it super intensely lol.. And I do agree with them that I don’t want Senju to be the one to save Mikey, esp. when she’s a character only introduced in the last arc and there are others way more fitting of the role who are far closer to him - but that’s just me. People are free to hate it or like it as intensely as they want, though! It’s just kind of depressing because I’ve seen some mockery directed at Maisenju shippers and they it’s like man... just leave them alone... :’)) ANYWAY I RAMBLED AND WENT OFF-TOPIC but it’s fun to talk about ships every now and again, thank you!

sweet liaisons
Tumblr media
Summary:
“C’mere. God, stop being so damn uptight Taka. I just missed the old times y’know? When we’re both so carefree and high spirited together… I wanted to see those beaming smiles of yours once again that’s brighter than the rays of the sun…” Draken murmured as he tucked his hair gently behind his ear.
“M-my l-lord…” He stammered as his heartbeat wildly inside his chest. When Draken got inebriated like this, he grew more reckless yet honest with his words.
They both tried not to want it but their hearts told them otherwise.
Characters: Ken "Draken" Ryuuguuji & Mitsuya Takashi
(A/N: I binged watch Bridgerton in Netflix the other day and fell in love with the setting and story immediately. Additionally, I’ve seen some character designs for the upcoming TR game in the future. Draken and Mitsuya looks regal and elegant that they can also passed as those poised characters in Bridgerton as the Duke and the Butler. So, this one-shot fic is born. Bridgerton AU – Doramitsu all the way baby. Also, this contains explicit sexual content and do mind the themes and tags of the fic. You know the drill if this isn’t your cup of tea. But if all is good from your end then join my server for the usual serving of sin and filth. Lastly, I don't own anything from the franchise except for this sinful fic on this site. Enjoy!)
“You should get ready my lord.” Mitsuya sighed as he drawn the curtains to the side to let in the filtering bright light of the sun inside his bedroom.
It revealed Draken’s half naked body with the blanket covering the lower half of his body.
Draken groaned out weakly as he pulled the covers higher to his frame. “Damn it Taka. Still trying to sleep here.” He slurred out.
“If you heeded my advice yesterday not to go overboard with your daily expedition with Viscount Mikey and the others at the tavern then you wouldn’t feeling like that right now.” Mitsuya pointed out as he pulled the covers away from his body and looked at him with an arched brow.
“You knew that Mikey wanted to have a little bit of a reunion with me together with Baji and the others since I’ve been gone for far too long at this place and they wanted to celebrate my arrival.” Draken grumbled as he opened his eyes blearily.
“And you also knew that you still have a meeting with the queen later at lunch and you still need to prepare my lord. Now get up as the maids have already prepared a bath for you. Breakfast will be served soon at the dining area.” Mitsuya replied with both of his hands on his hips.
“See? This is the reason why I’m not that worried. You’ve been impeccable at your job as a family butler and your father would’ve been proud of you Taka. But please be lenient on me, will you? You were my childhood friend first before you became my butler after your father retired.” Draken replied lightly as he offered him a playful wink and stood up stark naked in front of him.
Mitsuya didn’t bat an eye. He had seen him naked too many times that he had lost count. The first time he saw it, it mortified him, and he could feel his face burning up at the mere sight. But after Draken reassured him that it didn’t matter and since he had complete trust with him, he became immune to it and chalked it up as part of his duties as his butler. He was inwardly thankful that the unnamed young lady that he was playing around yesterday at his bedroom had already left or he would’ve have been a bit of a challenge in making the woman leave which caused him a headache sometimes.
It was no secret that sometimes when the pressure of Draken’s position as a young duke and the heavy responsibilities had fallen into him, he sought some company of some available, young women that he can ensnare around for a single night.
Although he was not serious in any of them, sometimes he wished that he stopped playing around so that he won’t get a notorious reputation like the other bachelors such as Hanma and Ran in being a lady killer due to their bad boy natures that seemed to make the other women swoon ridiculously.
He always tried to convince himself that it was the only sole reason for that and nothing else.
It would be quite preposterous to even include the equation of his heart which does not even matter in this kind of event.
Mitsuya sighed in fond exasperation. “Now don’t sweet talk to me Ken. I’m not some your nameless conquest that you can shower with these meaningless words of affectation just to impress them. Now off you go to the bath before the water gets cold.”
“Dear heavens, you can be cruel sometimes Taka.” He feigned a hurt expression on his face before he made his way inside the bath, his light laughter ringing out inside the bathroom.
“Goodness what will you do without me my lord? Sometimes an apt discipline is preferable to handle you to keep you in line Ken.” Mitsuya replied good naturedly.
“Yeah. I can’t imagine myself without you being by my side. It’s a good thing that you’re here beside me as always Taka.” Draken replied casually.
It’s a good thing that Draken was inside the bathroom or heaven forbid him if he saw the rosy hues painted on his face at his sudden declaration.
It was meant to be an inside joke between the two of them but the way he heard those words slipping past Draken’s lips made his heart somersault like crazy for a brief fraction of a second.
This was bad.
He decided that Draken was not good for his heart sometimes.
“Isn’t that Duke Draken?” Senju heard one of the women whispered with one another behind their fans.
“Yes, he is! I’ve heard that he just came back here the other day after his long mission coming from the queen herself. And now since he is here, I could only presume that he was in search for a wife… The lady who could conquer his heart and bore the title of the duchess beside himself.” One of them whispered back excitedly and Senju couldn’t care less as she rolled her eyes while she focused on getting some fruity punch on the banquet table.
“Senju I would greatly appreciate it if you could at least pretend that you’re interested in this event and act more ladylike.” Takeomi whispered harshly beside her.
“You know brother I would appreciate it more if we could just go back home and sleep this night away seeing how utterly dreadful and boring this event is. And this corset is killing me. I cannot breathe properly.” She hissed back before she proceeded to drink the fruity punch from her glass.
“This is why you don’t have many suitors at the household Senju. I know that you don’t find this event thrilling but I’d like to remind you that in a few months you would come into an age soon and you’ll be required to present yourself to the queen as one of the candidates for the diamond status. So, I need to remind you that do not besmirch the Akashi’s name with your unruly and graceless behavior.” Takeomi admonished her in a low voice to not gather an unwanted attention.
“Oh please. Just spare me at least one day of that ridiculous obligation.” She let out an exasperated breath and strolled away before she could hear one of his lectures once again.
She wasn’t paying attention when she bumped into somebody and splashed her drink into someone much to her horror. An endless litany of apologies was about to fall from her lips before she froze and narrowed her gaze at the familiar sight of a young man that always made her blood boil for some reason.
“Are you blind? Look at what you did to my sleeve? You—.” Mikey stopped midway as his obsidian eyes clashed against the familiar chartreuse eyes that held nothing but contempt and fire against him.
“Oh, if it isn’t the young, rebel… oooppsss… what I meant the young, free-spirited Senju of the Akashi household. It’s quite understandable if you splash some drink on someone’s clothes considering how you always lack the needed social graces that a standard young lady should possess.” Mikey remarked in a cheerful yet ruthless voice of his.
Any former guilt or remorse that she felt for spilling her drink accidentally on him just dissolved into nothingness as it was replaced by disdain and hatred towards the blond in front of him.
“I find it quite funny that you accused me of lacking social graces when you yourself don’t possess an ounce of refined demeanor in your bone just like a standard gentleman should be and act like a petty child when one cannot fulfill your pointless whims. Have a great night Viscount Mikey. Good luck in finding the lucky lady who could tolerate your mere existence.” She retorted as she walked past him.
Mikey was about to follow her and give her an earful when Draken and the others called for him at the other side of the ballroom hall. He let out an exasperated breath before he let the matter go and went towards his friends, reminding himself that he would get back at her soon.
Draken twirled Emma effortlessly as they danced together in the middle of the ballroom hall together with the other pairs beside them.
Even if Draken found the ball and other social gatherings to be a chore, he wasn’t in any position to just decline them especially now that he was a duke, and the invitation was also extended by the queen herself after his arrival back at the town a few days ago.
Additionally, he didn’t have a heart to jilt Mikey and his friends who expected him at this gathering especially his little sister Emma who was quite excited with his arrival previously. It was no secret that Mikey and his family had gave their silent approval to him if he ever proceeded to court for her hand when the right time has come.
And Draken was blind if he didn’t considered Emma as a suitable candidate for a wife and a duchess beside him. She was graceful, regal, comely…
…and most of all Emma had held some sweet affections towards him ever since they were kids although he feigned not to notice them since he didn’t know on how to handle it himself and continued to treat her the way she was… as a friend…
His eyes drifted over Mitsuya’s direction who was calmly standing behind the other men and sipping his drink. There was an unexplainable feeling that gripped his heart every time his gaze would linger towards his childhood friend turned into his own butler after several years had passed. Mitsuya was one of his longest and most loyal friends in his circle. Even before he met Mikey and the others, they knew each other longer since sometimes Mitsuya’s father would bring him to their household to make him observe his line of work and they would eventually hang out after then.
There had always been a soft spot for him inside his heart and he couldn’t help the slight lurch of it inside his chest every time those familiar lilac eyes would gaze over at him and offered that simple yet tantalizing smile just for him.
“My lord… my lord…”
Emma’s soft whisper pulled him back towards the present and he gazed at her with a disarming yet apologetic smile on his face. “My apologies but what was that?”
“I said that the dance is quite over my lord. We can have a bout of rest now and maybe you can have a drink first if you’re quite famish.” Emma giggled softly at him.
“I would love that. Thank you for the dance. You’re quite a marvelous dance partner yourself.” Draken bowed politely.
“As you are as well my lord.” Emma bowed back to him as well before they parted their ways.
Draken took a drink and sipped at the liquor that burned down his throat and made him feel tingly inside.
He can’t wait for this ball to be over.
“Goodness gracious my lord. You shouldn’t be drinking too much if you can’t handle it.” Mitsuya sighed as he gently removed his arm on his shoulder and put him on the bed.
Mitsuya was feeling the effects of the alcohol himself as he also took several glasses of wine at the ball. But unlike, Draken, he knew his limit and would eventually stop if he felt the effects of alcohol in his system such as the slight dizziness and the prickling heat on his body.
Although it was quite understandable that Draken wanted to let loose after his grueling journey at the other side of the planet, it made him slightly vexed when Draken got like this. But in the end, he couldn’t help himself to assist him when in need since that was what being a friend/butler did right?
Nevertheless…
…seeing him loose and sported that dopey yet adorable smile on his lips made his heart flutter and hitched his breath.
Draken had always been breathtakingly handsome in a rouge kind of way.
With those silky, blond locks that’s always been braided magnificently… to those deep and mesmerizing pitch-black eyes of his…
He yelped suddenly when one of Draken’s hands pulled him down on the bed.
Even though he was threading on a dangerous ground, Mitsuya cannot fight the urge to lean closer as Draken slowly angled his head closer to his lips.
And they both knew there was no turning back when their lips finally met in a tender yet searing kiss that drove them on the brink of something captivating yet sinful at the same time.
“Ngh… My lord… P-please… Not there… Don’t… Ah…! Ah…!” Mitsuya mewled like helpless kitten on his lap as Draken licked and sucked one of his nipples hungrily while his hands gripped on his hips tightly to secure him on his lap as the butler bounced mindlessly on his raging erection.
Ever since their intimate yet salacious liaison with one another the other night on his bedroom, they became more insatiable with one another. Even more so in Draken’s state as he couldn’t keep his hands off him as they had sex in the closet, in the kitchen in an ungodly hour of the night and sometimes in the backyard, tumbling and rolling off into the grass when the pretense and keeping up with their image around people seemed too much for them and they just jumped into each other’s bones like some horny rabbits.
Most of the time Mitsuya would feel a hint of mortification and fear for losing his control like that and the people who would’ve discovered them and ruined their reputation especially with the young duke considering the circulating copies of Lady Whistledown’s scandalous broadsheet about the sleazy secrets of the other people around them. As of now, the reputation of the young duke was still intact and Mitsuya can breathed a sigh of relief.
But damn.
When Draken got seductive like this, it’s hard to say no to him. What started out as a simple report of the young duke’s activities for today escalated into something else when Draken kept accidentally brushing his fingers or his legs around him that sent a titillating sensation across his spine until he accidentally pressed his lips against his and Mitsuya knew there was no turning back as he kissed him back ravenously and let him pull his body into his lap until it got to where they were now.
The door was closed but unlocked and while Mitsuya was sure that no one would dare to get inside the private chambers of the young duke without knocking first, he feared that someone might really discover them in a compromising position which both made him excite and anxious at the same time.
Wait.
Did he think it right?! A part of him was excited at the mere thought of it?!
Before Mitsuya’ s thoughts could spiral down further, his mind reeled back at the present as a light gasp escaped his lips when Draken penetrated him deeper, his throbbing length reaching the deeper interiors of his insides and hit his sweet spot.
“Don’t what Taka? You must be more specific about that. Also, you’re a naughty little liar. Your mouth wants me to stop while your body is telling me otherwise. Which will be it hmm?” Draken mumbled hotly against his skin as he proceeded to focus on the other sensitive nub and sucked it greedily.
“My lord… ah… it’s going deeper… please… if you don’t stop someone might come in…” Mitsuya moaned out lecherously, drool started to trickle slowly down from his lips.
“Then you’ll be quiet won’t you Taka? Or maybe you secretly like it being discovered like this? Such a dirty little minx you are. With an angelic face like that, who knew that you have a filthy mind.” Draken looked and offered him a playful wink which made Mitsuya combust in an instant.
“Damn you to hell Ken. At the very least take some responsibility if you don’t want to get caught as well.” He groaned out before he crashed his lips against his in one, hot needy kiss as he rides on top of him like a spinning top.
His salacious moans and grunts of pleasure were swallowed back by Draken’s mouth as he reciprocated his kiss ferociously and thrusted back harder in response to his eager hops.
“My lord… I can’t hold it in any longer…” He mumbled hotly against his lips as Mitsuya’s mind and body floated into cloud nine as he fucked himself deeper into his cock and let the other abused his sweet spot several times.
“Then come for me Taka… I know you want to…” His tongue explored wildly the insides of his mouth until he felt a whimper from the other and the splashes of his cum painted across their chests.
Mitsuya pulled away and tore his mouth from him to breathed raggedly. His movements grew weaker slightly. But his eyes grew wider once again as he could feel Draken still moving beneath him and looked at him who sported a lustful and predatory look on his face.
“I haven’t come yet. I believe that my dear butler should’ve taken care of this slight quandary of his duke, doesn’t he?” He licked his lips slowly.
A weak moan slipped past his lips as his body was being ignited once again despite being oversensitive from just reaching his climax earlier. “But my lord what do you propose me to do? I’m simply in no shape to help you in this kind of position don’t you think?” Mitsuya breathed out as his arms gripped his shoulders for support.
“That can be simply arranged.” A low chuckle escaped from Draken’s lips before he quickly lifted him off from his lap and flipped off their positions on the carpet with Mitsuya lying down and Draken on top of him.
He didn’t waste his time as he slammed back into him that stole Mitsuya’s breath.
“Ah…! Please…! That’s too much…! Ken…! Ken…! Ken…!” He moaned out his name in throes of pleasure, drooling out in ecstasy and overstimulation as Draken plowed into him mercilessly, abusing his sweet spot repeatedly that reduced Mitsuya into a helpless, mewling mess of a kitten in heat.
Draken watched Mitsuya’s blissed out face, completely mesmerized and aroused at the same time. “Bloody hell Taka. If you could just see your face. What a mischievous angel you are. Appearing to be calm and ingenue in front of the other people while you secretly covet to be treated like this. A complete messy, scoundrel under me.” He chuckled darkly only to be interrupted by a series of moans as his body convulsed and reached his limit, spilling all his load inside of him like a waterfall.
Mitsuya mewled at the hot yet delicious sensation of being filled up to his brim instantaneously.
For a moment, nothing can be heard except for their ragged breathing and the loud beating of their hearts inside their chests. Draken’s gaze remained unfocused until his legs gave away out of exhaustion and fell on top of him unceremoniously. Mitsuya’s arms were wrapped around his frame while his hands carded into his locks gently.
“My lord we need to clean up soon if you don’t want us to be spotted in this kind of situation…” He whispered breathlessly.
“Of course. Let’s get cleaned up in the bathroom then.” Draken replied huskily as he gets off of him and stood up, scooping him up on his arms nonchalantly which made Mitsuya slightly surprised and wrapped his arms around his neck for support.
“My lord what are you doing…?” Mitsuya blinked at him owlishly as Draken headed towards the bathroom.
“Carrying you towards the bathroom so we can clean up together.” He replied casually.
“We?” He echoed. “My lord there is no need for you to do s-so…” Mitsuya inwardly slapped himself for stammering like a fool.
“You’ve taken the brunt of our activities Taka so let me help you in cleaning you up as well. Besides this is to save time and water.” He replied with a wolfish grin on his face that made Mitsuya’s heart almost leap at his throat and his face exploding into a multitude variance of red.
“If you say so my lord…” He murmured as he let him place himself gently on the tub with the other following suit.
However, they spent a few more extra hours in the tub with Draken fingering him and claiming his body ravenously once again that turned him into a moaning mess.
“Ngh… Ken stopped… If we keep going, we’ll be late at the upcoming tea party with the Sano family…” Mitsuya whined softly as he couldn’t even stopped his body from grinding sinfully against him, with his back on his chest and Draken’s hands were on his waist as he gripped them tightly while he railed him roughly from behind.
“If you beg prettily maybe I will reconsider your request.” Draken licked at the shell of his ear teasingly that made the other shudder against him.
“P-please Ken…” He moaned as his closed his eyes slowly as his mind fogged once again by lust and ecstasy.
“Please what?”
“Ah… ah… ah… please fill me up now because I can’t… I’ll lose my mind if you keep teasing me like this…” He whimpered and gave up to the tumultuous emotions and pleasure that the other was awakening inside of him. Tea party be damned. He doesn’t care if they’re going to be late anymore.
All he wanted was Draken to ravish his body repeatedly and soothed the hunger and fire of lust that threatened to burn him whole.
A low growl slipped from Draken’s lips before one of his hands carded on his locks and gripped them a bit tightly and tilted his head towards his direction to claim his lips in a ferocious kiss and fucked him wildly against the tub. The water sloshed back and forth, painting the ground wetly with its suds and water.
They spent a certain amount of time christening every part of the bathroom tangled in each other’s arms and trying several creative positions that elicit a cacophony of salacious moans and wails of pleasure ringing out in the four walls of the bathroom.
“It’s a wonderful day today, isn’t it?” Emma asked in a peppy voice as she sipped from her cup of tea.
“It sure is.” Draken replied as he observed their surroundings idly.
Mitsuya just stood the at the side together with some of the maids, readying themselves in case Emma or Draken calls for their help and assistance.
They were late for fifteen minutes.
It’s a good thing that Emma was fine with it and Mikey didn’t care for such miniscule things since he was prone to being late himself sometimes. But it didn’t erase the fact that they almost cancel the tea party if none from the maids had knocked on the private chambers of Draken and reminded them on the arrival of some guests; they would probably remain inside the bathroom clinging into each other’s bones like animals in heat. Mitsuya would probably be like a helpless bunny under Draken’s grasp as the latter had an insatiable drive of playing around with him under the sheets enthusiastically. He tried to keep his cool and neutral face as his mind couldn’t stop replaying the images inside his head about the previous liaisons that they spent with one another. The thrill and fear of being caught by the townsfolk about their forbidden rendezvous together. The way would Draken’s sinewy arms held him in a bruising grip as he claimed every inch of his body repeatedly until he was reduced into a mindless, moaning mess beneath him…
…and the way his heart would flutter at the way he took care of him afterward.
The way he’d tuck his hair behind his ear and held him gently after their lovemaking together… Mitsuya couldn’t stop from hoping no matter how foolish it maybe…
He couldn’t stop from falling in love with him even if it was completely and utterly wrong in the eyes of many. Draken was a duke. He had a responsibility and reputation to uphold. He needed to search for a duchess. A wife that he will share his name and be by his side forever.
He needed to have an heir.
And Mitsuya wasn’t any of those things. He would forever remain as a childhood friend… a confidante… a butler to his household… but most of all…
…he would remain as his faceless lover who was cloaked behind the eyes of the people who existed in this era of harsh uppity and feigned consideration for the others who were different from them.
His throat constricted as he watched with a straight face on how Emma and Draken would speak with one another so freely… and joyously…
Mitsuya expected this…
But then why did it feel like the sight of them together was enough to drive the sharp anguish straight into his heart?
‘Calm down. You’re still the respected butler for today. Keep it together.’ Mitsuya berated himself as he heaved a deep breath and offered a pleasant smile when Draken called for his name.
“Taka, we will just stroll at the fields over there. No need for you and the other maids to accompany us as it is within the gardens of the Sano household. We will both call for the rest of you if we need some assistance.”
“Of course, my lord. Have a pleasant stroll ahead.” Mitsuya replied, his smile remained frozen on his face even if he could feel his jaw straining from that forced action alone.
Draken nodded and took Emma’s hand as they left together.
Mitsuya ignored the other half of his heart who wilted like a dying rose at the sight.
“The flowers have been a blooming radiance this season, isn’t it?” Emma plucked a sunflower and tucked it into her ear with a soft smile on her face.
“Indeed. Farmers have a plenty to harvest and gather around because of the thriving season and blessing.” Draken replied lightly as he walked beside her, smiling back at her gently when he spotted the flower adorning her face.
“This must be quite important if you call for me personally my lord.” Emma remarked idly.
Draken tried not to let his nervousness get the better of him, but his hands shook slightly inside his pockets. “Yeah. The thing is Emma…” Draken began before he took a deep breath.
Emma looked at him in anticipation.
“I cannot pursue for your hand any longer as it doesn’t seem right when I’ve had an affection for somebody else already. I sincerely apologize if I will need to stop here.” Draken continued in a regretful and apologetic voice.
Emma smiled sadly at him. “I already know of this my lord. And you shouldn’t apologize to me. Do not apologize for something that you have no control over. Such as your heart and what it yearns for. Although I do regret that we have to let each other go but I’m also thankful for your honesty.”
“Emma…”
“No. I’ll be having none of that pity and remorseful aura of yours towards me!” Emma chided him lightly, offering him a smile of reassurance. “All is fair in love and war. And maybe I’ll be lucky enough to find someone in a ball held by the queen in a future once again! So, do not fret over me all right? And do not mind my brother Mikey as I’ll be the one who will speak to him about this matter. He will not have any ill feelings towards you.”
Draken heaved a sigh of relief and gave her a small smile of sincerity. “I’m grateful for your understanding towards the matter Emma.” He replied gently.
“This person must be very, very lucky to capture your elusive heart my lord. I’m quite envious.” She replied jokingly.
“No. I’m the lucky one Emma. This person has been by my side as always through thick and thin. This person has seen me in my best and worst of times and didn’t leave me. And I realized it quite late that I have been in love with this person ever since. It just that I’m an oblivious, foolish lad to see it through.” Draken replied softly with a wistful smile hovering on his lips.
“Then I wish you all the best my lord. Go ahead and make the best out of it. I’ll be cheering for you head on.” Emma reassured him.
“Once again Emma thank you for understanding.” Draken replied as they headed back to the manor.
Emma could feel the pinpricks needling inside her heart, but she tried her best to ignore it. After all, a lady must maintain her grace and bearings despite all the tragedy that a heart could face, isn’t it?
“Did you have a joyful day today my lord? I’m sure you must be quite exhausted hence I’ve prepared a warm bath for you.” Mitsuya began lightly as he hung his coat at the coat hanger.
Draken remained oddly quiet during their travel back together at the manor. Usually, it would comfort Mitsuya as sometimes Draken has a habit of being comfortably quiet around him and would just glance at the scenery outside the carriage. But ever since his stroll back earlier with Emma, there was an aura on the other that he couldn’t pinpoint, and it put him into an unease.
Mitsuya felt like he should feel in the gaps of the deadly silence between the two of them.
“My lord are you all—.”
“I told Emma that I can no longer pursue for her hand any longer.” Draken cut him midway that made Mitsuya blinked owlishly at him.
“I-I see… That’s quite sudden… So, has another lady caught your eye then…? We can arrange for an event to measure her if she can be the future duchess and—.”
“Takashi.” Draken cut off his ramblings and called him by his first name.
Mitsuya’s heart felt like leaping out of his ribcage because of that piece of information alone. A part of him was happy that Draken will no longer pursue Emma and her affections but at the same time another part of him was dejected at the possibility of Draken finding another young woman who can be a good candidate to pursue in becoming his duchess and his wife.
He stared at him mutely and the way Draken stared at him made him hitched his breath on his throat.
His obsidian irises bored right through his soul as if he was stripping all his defenses and he could see past through his innermost thoughts and feelings that instant.
“W-what…?” Mitsuya inwardly berated at himself for stuttering like the fool he was.
“I didn’t pursue Emma any longer and I don’t want it to reach to a point that I will have to ask her hand for a marriage since I know for myself that it would be utterly wrong when I’ve had affections for someone else. And no. No other lady or person has caught my eye yet since my heart was captured by this wonderful person a long time ago. This person who was always by my side. The one who shared my victory and losses altogether. My childhood friend, my confidante, my butler, my considerate lover, and the other half of my heart. And that is you Takashi. I’m in love with you for a long time. I hope that it is never too late to say any of this to you.” Draken replied with the utmost raw sincerity in his words.
Mitsuya’s eyes widened for a brief fraction of second, his heart thundering inside his chest loudly before he shook his head faintly.
“This isn’t right my lord… You’re a duke and I’m a mere butler… What would other people think of you… I’m not worried about my own reputation but what about you…? Your reputation and responsibility my lord! If Lady Whistledown catches some drift about this… You’ll be done for my lord! Also, you will need a duchess and a wife to bear you an heir!” Mitsuya cried out helplessly as he backed away when Draken stepped closer to him.
“It’s always this and that. Other people such as me you care for. But what about you Takashi? What do you want? I can see that you held some affections for me too. Please do not deny it as I can see and feel it whenever our lips touch for a tender kiss and held each other in a passionate embrace in those countless nights when we yearn for each other’s touch. I’m aware of my duties as a duke. But let me tell you this. I do not intend to cross a path further that isn’t right and might hurt other people in the long run. So, what of it if I do not have a duchess and sire an heir in the long run? I do not know my own parents since they had abandoned me, and I was raised by a close friend of a relative that is neither my flesh nor my biological family. And I do not care about that. I’m proud of the way they had raised me rather than the parents who abandoned me regardless of if they’re my kin and blood. I do not care about what the other people would say anymore Takashi. For I cannot ignore what my heart has been yearning for…and it is simply you. You and your beautiful soul and heart for the eternity of my life.” Draken looked at him imploringly as his voice grew soft and dropped an octave, he stopped in front of him as he backed Mitsuya successfully against the wall. He wasn’t crying but his coal irises were swirling with his raw emotions and vulnerability altogether.
A small sob escaped from Mitsuya’s lips as he covered his mouth with one of his hands. He listened quietly to Draken’s words and confession; every word pierced right through his heart. His vision became blurry as tears finally cascaded down his face. He couldn’t even utter a single coherent word or sentence as his mind and heart was in chaos and how his soul ached for him.
“Takashi…” Draken misinterpreted his reaction and swallowed thickly as his hand tried to reach for his face but stopped midway as if seeking his permission.
“I don’t want to be the cause of your misery and seeing you weeping like this makes my heart torn into tiny, little pieces. I’m sorry if I misinterpreted the whole thing. I just thought… that you feel the same way… But it’s all right if you don’t share the same feelings and sentiments towards me. We can just forget this whole conversation and—.”
Mitsuya didn’t let him finish his sentence as he finally took a step towards his direction and cupped his face with his hands and captured his lips in a deep, soulful kiss that meant to pour out his pent-up emotions for him that he held for a very long time.
Draken seemed taken aback briefly but quickly regained his bearings as he reciprocated his kiss with an equal amount of passion and desperation as he did. His arms entwined across his waist to pull him closer towards his frame.
“You’ve wreaked havoc in my entire being Ken. You have not misinterpreted anything because I am madly, deeply, and irrevocably in love with you. Ever since when were young Ken and we don’t have these heavy titles on our lives that separate us together, these affections in my heart towards you… I nurse them inside of me… I tried to be content on what we’ve had because I know my place in the society and I don’t want to be greedy. But how can I refuse your sincere offer and those imploring gaze of yours when you’ve specifically asked for my love? I cannot. Because Ken my heart already belongs to you and alone for a long time ago. I love you! I love you! I love you! I just feared of the consequences that we might face in the future especially you if we continue to pursue down this path… But now that you’ve made me realize how utterly miserable everything was if we just let this sweet opportunity pass us by. You’re my happiness and yet you’re also my downfall since I cannot imagine the torment that my entire being would’ve face if you’re not by my side after all…” He mumbled hotly against his lips as his tongue entwined with his in the spellbinding embrace that they were in.
“I’m glad that the feeling is mutual Taka… You’re my light and my own ruin since the mere thought of your existence ceasing in my grasp would scourge my existence for a lifetime. I love you as well. If it’s not you that’s going to be by my side forever then I simply refuse to give my heart to another since they also belong to you for a long time ago.” He murmured against his lips as Draken finally scooped him up on his arms and brought him to his private chambers, letting their heart guided them through each other’s arms for an eternity.
(A/N: I was thinking of a sequel maybe? Y’know more focused on Mikey and Senju this time since they give me big enemies to lovers’ trope vibes such as Anthony and Kate in Bridgerton season 2. What do you think? Also, I realized that this Doramitsu Bridgerton AU trope that I wrote is more emotional and sizzling than the past Doramitsu fics that I’ve written. Oh well. Anyways, let me hear your thoughts and share them to me).
