the certainty in the other woman's words sets malia aback a little : makes her wonder what the business this stranger might be after could be. nobody comes here for a vacation. she rocks on her feet, not quite taking a step back but not half as self - assured either. they can smell your fear. she holds her ground under the sickle moon, earthy scents rich around them and biding their time. it would not be the first time blood has been shed in these woods. her next words are measured, slow and gritted through her teeth in an attempt to remain placid. she has always struggled with her rage, can sense it in her adversary also. maybe they are more alike than different.

Learning about being human - Part 1

Stiles Stilinski lounged on his bed, savoring the rare tranquility of a lazy Sunday morning. Beside him, Malia Tate seemed to be absorbing the concept of such stillness, a task that wasn’t exactly natural for her. Having spent years as a coyote in the wilderness, calm moments still felt foreign to her. She was becoming bored and restless.

“What are you thinking about?” Stiles asked, breaking the silence with his usual curiosity.

Malia turned her head to him, a thoughtful look in her eyes. “Just... things,” she replied, vague as always.

“Things?” Stiles chuckled. “Care to elaborate?”

She gave him a playful nudge. “Just things.” she repeated.

As they lay there, Malia’s fingers gently circling Stiles’ chest, her hand wandered to his side, her fingers lightly brushing against his ribs. Stiles twitched, trying to hide his reaction, but Malia’s sharp senses picked up on it immediately.

“What’s that?” she asked, her fingers trailing along his ribs again, this time more deliberately.

“Nothing,” Stiles said quickly, but the quiver in his voice betrayed him.

Malia’s eyes narrowed with curiosity. “Doesn’t seem like nothing,” she said, her fingers moving again to his side.

Stiles squirmed, letting out a half-suppressed laugh. “Okay, okay, stop!” he exclaimed, grabbing her wrist.

Malia frowned in confusion. “Why? Did I hurt you? What’s happening?”

Stiles sighed, realising he couldn’t keep it a secret any longer. “It just…. tickles” he shrugged.

“Tickles?” Malia echoed, clearly unfamiliar with the concept.

“Yeah, when someone touches you in a certain way and it makes you laugh and squirm uncontrollably,” Stiles explained. “Haven’t you ever been tickled?”

Malia shook her head. “No. Is it bad?”

Stiles chuckled. “Not bad exactly, just... intense. Especially when you are as ticklish as I am.”

A mischievous glint sparked in Malia’s eyes. “Show me,” she said, her fingers starting to lightly scribble over his ribs. Knowing instinctually what to do.

“Malia, no!” Stiles yelped, trying to roll away. But Malia was persistent, her curiosity now fully engaged. She continued her light, teasing tickles, fingers brushing and scribbling against his skin. Stiles twisted and turned, desperately trying to evade her touch.

“Hold still!” Malia ordered, her voice tinged with amusement.

“I…. Can’t! Malia, seriously—” Stiles tried to plead, but his words dissolved into uncontrollable laughter as her fingers found their way under his arms. He squirmed wildly, trying to escape her relentless tickling.

“Interesting,” Malia mused, noting the spots that made him thrash the most. She quickly discovered that his hips and armpits were particularly sensitive, causing him to buck and writhe beneath her touch.

“Malia, no! Anywhere but there!” Stiles gasped, laughter bubbling out uncontrollably.

She paused briefly, looking down at him with a grin. “Why not here?” she asked, her fingers hovering over his armpits.

“Because it—” Stiles began, but was cut off as Malia resumed her tickling, her fingers dancing across his skin. “—tickles too much!”

Malia’s curiosity was fully piqued. “Is this spot more ticklish, that’s why you react more?”

“Yes!” Stiles could barely get his words out between gasps of laughter. “—it’s—ahhh!—unbearably ticklish!”

Malia’s eyes gleamed with amusement. “Unbearably ticklish, huh? What about here?” Her fingers shifted to his hips, scribbling lightly.

Stiles bucked beneath her, his laughter growing louder. “Yes! Yes, there too!”

“What about here?” Malia moved her fingers to his knees, lightly brushing the skin.

Stiles’s laughter subsided slightly, his reaction less intense. “Not as much... that’s more... manageable,” he panted, grateful for the chance to catch his breath.

“Hm,” Malia said thoughtfully, “interesting.” She moved her fingers back to his ribs, eliciting another round of uncontrollable laughter. “And here?”

“Definitely... ahhh!—really ticklish!” Stiles managed to choke out.

Malia seemed to take this as a challenge, her fingers dancing over his ribs, armpits, and hips in turn. She looked around for any places she hadn’t yet tried… “What about your feet?” she asked, shifting to brush her fingers lightly over the soles of his feet.

Stiles jerked his foot away, his laughter taking on a desperate edge. “Yes! Very ticklish! Okay, okay, you’ve mapped out the most ticklish spots! Now please staaaaahp!”

Malia grinned, now more determined than ever. "Hold still," she commanded, a spark of playful determination in her eyes. She turned around, straddling his legs to pin them down, her fingers poised above his feet.

“Malia, no! Please not the feet, anywhere but the feet!” Stiles pleaded, his voice rising with a mix of panic and laughter.

"Why not the feet?" she asked, her curiosity getting the better of her.

"Just…. please don’t!" Stiles managed to gasp out, but it was too late. Malia’s fingers descended, lightly brushing and scribbling over the soles of his feet. Stiles's reaction was immediate and explosive; he bucked and thrashed, laughter pouring out of him uncontrollably.

“Ahhh! Stop, stop! I can’t take it!” he shouted, his voice breaking.

Malia’s eyes widened in fascination. “Why are your feet more ticklish than the other spots?”

“I don’t know!” Stiles cried out, barely able to speak through his laughter. “They just are!”

Malia continued her exploration, her fingers finding every sensitive spot on his feet. She scribbled lightly over his arches, brushed against his toes, and danced along his heels, each touch sending Stiles into renewed fits of laughter.

“Interesting,” Malia said, her voice thoughtful. “Your feet really do seem the most ticklish.”

“You think?!” Stiles shot back, his voice dripping with sarcasm even as he laughed helplessly. “Malia please….. staaaaaaaahp! This is—ahhh!—torture! I’m dying!”

Malia laughed, clearly enjoying his reactions. “You’re not dying, Stiles. You’re just... very ticklish.” She said, matter-of-factly.

“Yeah, no kidding!” Stiles gasped, trying to twist away but finding himself firmly pinned.

Malia's fingers were relentless, exploring every inch of his feet. "What about here?" she asked, brushing her fingers over the tops of his feet.

"Yes! Yes, there too!" Stiles yelped, his laughter taking on a desperate edge.

“And here?” Malia focused on the space between his toes, eliciting an even louder reaction.

“Okay, okay! Enough! I can’t take it anymore!” Stiles pleaded, his voice hoarse from laughing.

Finally, Malia relented, collapsing beside him with a satisfied smile. “You’re fun to tickle, Stiles.”

Stiles lay there, panting and trying to catch his breath. “You... are... evil,” he managed to say, still feeling the lingering tingles of her tickling.

“Maybe,” she replied, her eyes twinkling with mischief. “But you love me.”

Stiles laughed, pulling her into a hug. “Yeah, I guess I do.” And in that moment, amidst the tickles and laughter, he realised just how much he loved every unpredictable, wild moment with Malia.
