#man i miss her

I was thinking about fandom today and remembered suddenly that my high school bestie spent our entire high school experience writing what was essentially a Real Person Fiction (I don't think we even had a word for it back then) that was her and all her classmates, but in a fictional fantasy world.

Yes, I was in it.

No, I never got to read it.

She mostly kept it to herself but she'd share bits and pieces of it with me now and then (especially when one or another of our mutual acquaintances was being especially annoying). In sum, everyone in it had a Type based on her perception of them and how she interacted with them.

I was apparently the Wise Friend; in the story, she was always going to me for advice, and I was always giving her bits of wisdom. Not sure how I picked up that role, but I was pleased she thought of me that way.

Interestingly, her absolute nemesis in the story, the one who was always irritating and she was always getting in fights with? In real life, they ended up married.

"Mm... as any couple would I suppose. Hugs, kisses, holding hands when we're out together. We write each other letters a lot, especially while she's away from Aaru Village. Sometimes, those letters will contain little gifts for the other, or she'll bring things from Sumeru City along with her when she returns. One of my favorites has to be getting to cuddle with her during times when I don't have to keep watch. It's... easier to relax when I'm with her."
