human design : energy types

the most fundamental aspect of human design is the classification into five energy types, each with a unique strategy and aura. these types help individuals understand how they best interact with others and the world.

★ manifestors: have an initiating energy and are here to make things happen. they have a closed and repelling aura, designed to create space for action and independence. their strategy is to inform before they act, which helps them avoid resistance from others.

aura type: closed and repelling purpose: create impact and initiate action manifestors have a powerful, dense aura that is closed off to others. unlike other auras, which are open and interactive, the manifestor aura is designed to push energy away. this repelling quality allows manifestors to carve their own path without interference, giving them the freedom and independence needed to initiate and act according to their own impulses. their aura creates space around them, keeping others at a distance unless they are invited in. this helps manifestors protect their autonomy and ensures that their initiating energy remains clear and uninterrupted. interaction with others: because their aura is closed, manifestors may feel misunderstood or alienated, as others can struggle to read their energy or know their intentions. this is why manifestors are encouraged to inform others of their actions before they take them. informing helps reduce resistance and eases the tension their aura can naturally create. when manifestors inform, they allow others to align with their energy, creating harmony and cooperation instead of conflict.

★ generators: the life force energy type, generators have a sustainable source of energy. their open and enveloping aura attracts the right opportunities and people. their strategy is to respond to life’s events rather than initiate, ensuring they use their energy correctly.

aura type: open and enveloping purpose: sustain and attract life force energy generators have an open, warm, and magnetic aura that draws life experiences, opportunities, and people to them. this enveloping quality allows them to respond to what life presents, aligning them with their purpose and giving them access to the energy needed for sustainable work and creativity. the generator aura is inherently attractive and responsive, making it easy for them to engage and connect with others. it’s like a magnet that pulls life’s opportunities into their field, allowing them to selectively respond to what feels right. interaction with others: due to their open and engaging aura, generators are naturally inclusive and easy to approach. people often feel comfortable and drawn to them, as their aura provides a sense of warmth and vitality. when generators follow their strategy of responding rather than initiating, they enter into a flow that allows their life force energy to build momentum, generating satisfaction and fulfillment. however, when they try to initiate without responding, their aura can become misaligned, leading to frustration—indicating that their energy is not being used correctly.

★ manifesting generators: a hybrid of manifestors and generators, they have the ability to initiate but must wait to respond first. they move quickly and efficiently, often multitasking. like generators, their strategy is to respond, but they also need to inform once they commit to action.

aura type: open and enveloping, with manifesting capabilities purpose: sustain energy, multitask, and quickly respond to life as a hybrid of the generator and manifestor, manifesting generators have an aura that is primarily open and enveloping like a generator’s but also carries a manifesting component. this dual nature allows them to attract opportunities and respond to life while also acting quickly and efficiently. their aura can shift gears rapidly, enabling them to move between tasks and activities seamlessly. manifesting generators are designed for speed and adaptability, and their aura reflects this by holding an energy that feels dynamic and multifaceted. interaction with others: manifesting generators, like generators, are approachable and engaging due to their open aura, making others feel included in their energy. however, their need for speed and multitasking can sometimes make others feel left behind if they don’t move as quickly. this is why manifesting generators benefit from their strategy of responding first and then informing—allowing others to keep up with their rapid pace. when they are aligned and using their energy properly, their aura is vibrant and inspiring. when misaligned, it can create a sense of frustration or impatience as they struggle with the pressure to move forward before the timing is right.

★ projectors: designed to guide others, projectors have a focused and absorbing aura that penetrates into other people's energy. they are here to manage and direct energy, not to work sustainably like generators. their strategy is to wait for the invitation, which aligns them with the right environments and people.

aura type: focused and absorbing purpose: guide and manage energy projectors have a focused and absorbing aura that penetrates deeply into the energy of others. this allows them to see into others and gain insights about how energy is being used. their aura is naturally designed to tune into and guide the energy of other types, particularly generators and manifesting generators. projectors do not have sustainable energy centers (such as the sacral center), so their aura draws in the energy of those around them, enabling them to guide and manage it effectively. interaction with others: due to their penetrating and focused aura, projectors have the ability to connect deeply and intimately with others, often leaving people feeling seen and understood. however, this deep aura can also be felt as invasive if it is not invited. this is why the strategy of waiting for the invitation is essential for projectors; it ensures that their insights are welcomed and that their aura is received positively. when they enter situations without an invitation, their aura can feel intense or overbearing, leading to bitterness if their guidance is rejected or ignored. when invited correctly, their aura aligns with its purpose, and they experience a sense of recognition and success.

★ reflectors: the rarest type, reflectors are designed to mirror and reflect the health of their environment. their sampling aura takes in and reflects the energy of the community around them. their strategy is to wait a lunar cycle (approximately 28 days) before making major decisions, giving them clarity through the various transits.

aura type: sampling and resistant purpose: reflect and mirror the environment reflectors have a unique aura that is sampling and highly sensitive, designed to take in and reflect the energies around them. their aura is open but not in the same way as a generator’s; instead of enveloping, it samples small bits of information and energy from various sources without taking in everything. this allows reflectors to remain somewhat detached, preventing them from becoming overly influenced by their environment. their aura acts as a mirror, reflecting the health and alignment of the community or environment they are in, making them natural barometers of collective well-being. interaction with others: due to their sampling aura, reflectors are highly sensitive to the people and environments they are in, and they can deeply understand and mirror what is happening around them. their strategy of waiting a lunar cycle helps them move through various energies and experiences, giving them clarity about what is consistent and true for them. when they are in the right environment, their aura reflects joy and clarity, bringing harmony to those around them. if they are in the wrong environment, their aura can mirror disappointment and disharmony, making it essential for them to choose their surroundings and communities carefully.

motor center: ego, solar plexus, root

defined: throat

undefined: sacral

keywords: rare, impulsive, self-made, powerful, energetic, powerful, driven, frustrated, influential, self-absorbed, successful, lone-wolf, impatient, mysterious, secretive, etc.

mission: more communication, less asking for permission - tell people what you are doing. this works the other way for people dealing with manifests - don't ask them, tell them.

trends in relationships: they often can't finish what they start (they need to do things when they have a burst of energy), their mind tends to move faster than their mouth does (they tend to miscommunicate/under-communicate), they don't tend to slow down for others (they end up alone because their focus is on a task instead of a team), etc. these people don't need others for growth and often find themselves alone.

how to manage a manifestor: set boundaries and let them rein free within them. trying to quiet them causes them to become angry/tense - instead let them talk/be frustrated. you don't even really have to actively listen or comment in their rants its more so letting them have the space to express their thoughts/emotions that matters.

keywords: everyday, consistent, sustainability, sexually magnetic, high energy, masterful, self-aware, easily frustrated by life, quick to quit, slow and steady wins the race, morning bird, focused, yes or no answers, etc.

mission: pause; these people tend to jump the gun. it is very important they take a pause before doing something too rashly. it is likely to make them anxious, but it will be better they wait then do something and regret it.

trends in relationships: they are meant to be with others. they have to engage with others to grow. however, it is unlikely that they will make the first move in any of their relationships. they need signs of interest in order to try anything / make a move.

how to manage a generator: they shouldn't be told what to do. they should be coaxed to do a would you rather and pick the one that interests them most. make sure they are well rested and they will be just fine.

manifesting generator

keywords: energetic, doer, getting the job done, finds the shortcut, multitasker, self-aware, angry, easily frustrated, rushes, "make it happen", impatient, lacks follow through, quick, scattered, etc.

mission: visualize. inform. respond. inform and respond are basically the combo of the manifestor and the generator missions. visualizing is the new mission here - they have to know what it is they are chasing in order to catch it.

trends in relationships: take an adventure this these people - disappear for hours at a time to spark creativity. like a generator they are not supposed to be told what to do but rather they need would you rather questions to make headway and get things done.

how to manage a manifesting generator: these people need a lot of stimulation- they are very go-go-go energied so just let them do their thing. let them do a lot physically and mentally so they can properly deplete their energy daily. they need freedom to do what they want, so do your best to not get in their way - let them experience new things don't stress over it being the wrong move. they need to learn for themselves what is good and bad for them. try to make it their idea and not solely yours.

mission: wait to be recognized/invited. these people often feel unheard and as though they are never really acknowledged. so it is important to wait until they have full attention before sharing - what they have to say is worthwhile.

trends in relationships: they have a hard time knowing themselves and their needs though they can often see others and know them. they don't need tons of friends but rather they just need a few great ones and a partner who has time to listen to them and be present. strange as it may sound in this generation but in a relationship, they sleep best when they have their own bed.

how to manage a projector: give them recognition - ask them to share and you will be pleasantly surprised. whatever you do, don't ignore them it just leads to them getting frustrated and saying something that will cause you to listen.

keywords: very rare, the 1%, talkative, passionate, unique, peaceful, prosperous, highly sensitive, easily disappointed, needs consistency, struggles with grounding, clingy, "right place right time", honor, valued, value system, sympathetic/empathetic, etc.

mission: wait. they are lunar beings so it is important to wait 28 days to make sure that they are doing what they truly want. if they don't, then they are often very disappointed by the outcome. if they do wait, they should talk with others before acting.

trends in relationships: they need support and consistency. they are easily disappointed in relationships because one of these areas are lacking. it is equally important that they get alone time so they can shake off the energy they stored from others. they are sensual beings so touch is big for them - a hug goes a long way.

how to manage a reflector: they just need a good environment - somewhere stable and consistent (that goes for the people in that environment too). so value them and their boundaries and everything will be smooth.

✨ Just some HD thoughts ✨

I’m an MG and I was thinking about how sometimes I fight against informing because I feel (emotional authority too lol) like why are people in my business??? But transparency is so helpful!! I was running late to a restaurant reservation and I called them to let them know but not after overthinking it like it’s only 10 min and they have a 15 min grace period and I was like bro you’re sitting in an Uber for the next 25 minutes who is it really hurting just call and tell them 🤣 they ended up being behind anyway and made me wait 10 min after I got there 10 min late and apologized and gave my table free champagne like 😭😭 now I already know if I just showed up late they wouldn’t have acted like this!

Then I started thinking about the fact that according to the HD stats almost HALF of the population is a Manifestor or Manifesting Generator meaning they must inform! And I just received my food delivery and the food inside was not as expected like it’s very delicious but if they had told me the serving size more clearly I wouldn’t have bought it for that price. Which got me thinking of how ultimate transparency in pricing would be so amazing like imagine you can look up a restaurant and see everything from how much they paid for supplies, their prices, the serving sizes, their profit, how much they pay their different employees, how much they pay for the location, and what the owners take home for themselves. I think that level of transparency would make things more fair and consumers wouldn’t feel scammed every now and then like you’re telling me Loaded Fry Supreme $20 is just frozen fries with velveeta and bacon bits?? (I made that up for my point lol) but if I saw all the info then I would think yeahhhhh frozen fries and velveeta is not worth $20. But if the fries were loaded with some aged gouda, half a lobster tail and one tsp of caviar it’s like okay 👀 yeah I’ll pay $20 for that!

Just something I was thinking about lol but of course this would only be possible in a “perfect world” bc to get to that level of transparency would be everyone being subjected to the most extreme level of surveillance which we know would be terrible lol a more informed consumer choice in exchange for freedom basically 😂

It’s not a whole picture of who you are as a unique human being with personality quirks and likes & dislikes — but it does help you to understand how you “tick”

Human Design helps with things like…

I’ve been a student of Human Design since 2017 and began using it as a tool to support others in goal setting back in 2019.

As I come to this crossroads in my own life, not sure where to set my goals next — I think a good place to start is the same place I did with so many clients over the years.

♡ Taking myself there - 10 ♡

Hello beautiful people - I haven't made one of these in a whole week. I took the time after resigning to simply enjoy myself; Visit family, live love, laugh and all of that ;)

But I am back, and the grind is on full gear! Lot's has happened but in short - I am forever greatful for my trust in myself. I learned a long time ago that when you trust yourself, you win. Nobody will make me feel like a hostage within my existence, not even my rationel (dramatic, I know I'm a cancer I can't help ittt) Now with my freedome to dream big and reach for what I know is meant for me, I will be dividing deeper into many things!

Highlights - My fav moments;

♡ I reached out to a few old friend I haven't talked to due to being M.I.A from all social media platforms (I redowloaded IG and may get back on tiktok, lets see) and the returned energy was incredible! "I am greatful we met" one said, and im seeing her next week! I feel so blessed

♡ Asking for help and recieving more then I expected! I used to hate this, but now I have learned the definition of closed mouths don't get fed! And I refuse to starve anymore!

♡ I spend the night at my roomates moms house, and we just played a board game all day and the next day! I haven't had such mindless fun in a long time! No phones in sight, just table slams and laughter!

♡ Being re-introduced to Human design by my friend, and feeling exited to jump into a new world of self-exploration!

What's next?

♡ I have been falling behind on writing, so next week I will be picking up where I left off.

♡ I am getting some buisness help and advice for a big launch, so very exited for that! Everything's moving fast, and despite how intimidating it felt, I am starting to feel very comfortable in this current.

♡ Enjoy myself doing all these incredible new things, continue to learn and grow!

Life is magic. It just is.

I’m doing a project in Canva for a family member right now. I haven’t used Canva since autumn 2022.

Back then, in autumn 2022, I started and a abandoned a portfolio website mockup for a job application.

Looking back… wow. It’s snarky, it’s trying too hard. It was nowhere near complete but I’m put-off by this version of myself that produced this draft less than 2 years ago.

I have evolved SO SO much in just the span of years and it’s a gift to make this much progress this fast.

It feels like I’m gently going down a slide, slipping through the edges and snags of life as easily as a knife between bones. Moving at just the right place, just the right time.

I don’t believe in the “God” of major religions but nowadays when people say “God is good” I can’t help but agree.

Whatever is speaking and moving through me, and this ability to recognize what’s happening, and the synchronicities that give me confidence in my path, all of that together, is truly holy.

Line 5 Profiles (2/5, 3/5, 5/1, & 5/2) tend to have a strong urge to reject superficiality, false narratives, & deceit; They're often approached with assumptions or expectations to align with projections, so they learned to rely on integrity as their best defense against that.

Either way I begin again

So I have decided to give Human Design a go. I've been experimenting with my strategy and authority and I am in the weird over controlling whilst learning to let go Virgo process.

After graduating uni I didn't know what to do. Frankly, I still don't. Nothing seems to be catching by eye, igniting a spark (MG with sacral authority tings). I want to engage with people but fear I don't know how to anymore. I used to be outgoing and gregarious but now I feel like a shell of myself. I'm desperately clinging onto a version of me that was unsustainable but well liked.

Maybe I'm scared that if I return to those circles the me I have become will scare people away. Maybe I am also scared to admit that I have outgrown certain habits and practices. Or maybe I'm scared of re-entering the world when I have isolated myself for so long.

Either way I begin again. I don't want to be scared anymore and I want to regain the determination I had lost. I will enjoy my life even if I have to force myself to do so.

So, understanding that fear is my motivator made me realise why I have been down for so long, I was allowing my fears to become bigger rather than conquering them. My vibe used to be 'Do it for the plot! The only thing you are scared of is uncertainty!' I will be them again. I won't be scared anymore.
