in my human au she actually has an episodic role. she's a cop (sorry) who had seen too much shit in her life, so she decided to change a profile. from murderers and others she switched on street racers, and she has a very homoerotic tension with shank (the rivalry yuri goes insane)

also she unintentionally almost became a reason of turbo and felix breaking up because it's that time of the story when felix's ignorance shines in full of it's glory and he acts like an asshole (giving calhoun looks while turbo is sitting between them)

Most of Shane Calhoun’s family thought he would be the last one to get involved in a romance. The joke is on them because he’s the first of the three Calhoun brothers to be engaged. While his elder brother, Nick, has no trouble finding romance, he has trouble settling down. His younger brother, Kit, is still at Uni and finding himself.

Ok so it is a game series by Valve where you (mostly) play as a theoretical physicist named Gordon Freeman. He worked at a top-secret science facility called Black Mesa and they were experimenting on a crystal from a border world planet called Xen and ended up accidentally ripping a portal open to Xen (it was called the Resonance Cascade), and Gordon (And a security guard named Barney Calhoun and two other theoretical physicists named Colette Green and Gina Cross and a HECU Marine named Adrain Shephard) had to fight the aliens had to come through. Also everyone but Adrian also had to fight the HECU marines because they HECU are there to bascially go in and kill everyone and everything in Black Mesa if things go to shit. Anyways. Gordon fights everything and ends up going to Xen and kills the Nialanth which is the giant alien baby-looking thing which had every other alien under it's control, it was also the last on it's kind. So yeah Gordon kills it then the G-man shows up and is like "Hey Gordon. Join me or I'll let all the remaining aliens kill you" so Gordon joins him. And twenty years later Gordon wakes up on a train going to City 17, which is one of the last remaining urban centers after the Combine, a race of fascist aliens took over the world after finding earth through the Resonance Cascade and they took over the whole world. Anyways now everyone is kinda like. Under the Combine's rule. So anyways Barney finds Gordon and brings him to Dr. Kleiner (Dr. Kleiner is Gordon's mentor and science dad) and everyone is so happy to see Gordon! That's also when we first meet Alyx (she is my wife I love her) and Gordon gets his power armour back, and he has to go to Black Mesa east where Eli is (Eli is Alyx's dad and Gordon's old co-worker) and he goes to do that and Comine shoot at him. Oh yeah Gordon's old boss Dr. Breen is working with the Comine that's important. Anyways he gets to Black Mesa East and sees Eli again (Alyx is also there cuz she teleported first but Gordon didn't) and they hang out a bit (Eli's friend Judith Mossman is there too, she's important) before Black Mesa East gets attacked because SOMEONE ratted them out so everyone scatters and Gordon has to go to Ravenholm (We don't go the Ravenholm) which is filled with zombies and there's this preist guy named Father Grigori is there, he's chill, he gives Gordon a shotgun and they fight the zombies together before Ravenholm gets set on fire and Father Grigori runs into the flames because he won't leave his people. So Gordon is just kinda there now. And then he finds out Eli is at Nove Prospekt (The Combine's really big prison) so Gordon goes on a road trip to find him. He also finds out what Antlions are are also learns how to control them throught the pheremone pods the antlions have. So he gets to Nova Prospekt and tries to find Eli and fights some guards and antlions and shit but Eli isn't there! So he meets up with Alyx again and they go back to Kleiner's lab. They also found out Judith betrayed everyone because she hates Gordon for taking her job. Anyways. So it turns out an entire week has passed way to fast because of the teleporter mishap. And the uprising started! Yay! So yeah they decide to go to the Citadel. Barney joins them and they head to the Citadel, and Gordo gets in (Alyx got captured) Breen tried to get Gordon to betray his friends and but Gordon...didnt say anything, I am sure he is mute. Anyways Breen tried to contact the Combine and ends up dying, Gordon, Alyx and Eli escape, and the Citadel blows up then G-man shows up again and is just like "Just checking in <3"

Anyways that's just. 1 and 2. There are other episodes to Half Life 2 and also Half Life Alyx but my arms hurt

Review: 

Finlayson has a very particular point of view on the war, and warfare. Throughout the book, he is constantly made aware that his actions and behaviors are both dangerous and obsessive. Yet, even though he acknowledges it, and says he takes it to heart, he still has the narcissistic bent to ignore them and feel that his way is the right way. 

That’s both a positive and a negative.

His teams brought the war to the enemy and were immensely productive as far as kills and intelligence gathered. At the same time, they were in many ways reckless and dangerous. 

God loves a fool and who dares wins are basically how he operates.

Overall though, the book gives you great insight into HIS way of running recon teams, and how Team Killer Kane/Swift Scout operated, the gear they took, the places they operated in, and who the people were. His writing style is quick paced and gives you a good sense of his thoughts and emotions and allows you to understand where his head was at and what he experienced.

While there were a few errors, especially in regards to keeping track of a persons rank (one page they’re corporal, next they’re a sergeant), and the weapons (carrying my m-14, and had 5 magazines of 5.56mm), the book is well done.

Ok! Blue-Shift time!

Barney Calhoun, a security guard at Black Mesa is late to work (cringe) and someone has to let him in, boring stuff bleh bleh bleh whateverrr, at least he's getting a beer with his good buddy Gordon Freeman after the guy finishes his big important test! :]

So anyway he's being forced to do stuff that isn't part of his job n such, n eventually he makes it to this elevator and...

Hey what was that explosion. The scientists in the elevator with him are saying it's probably from the Anomalous Materials Department (hey Gordon's over there), oh, those rascals!

...There are alarms going off and a weird looking thing. People are dying. UH. HM. So the elevator falls. Oof. AAA ATTACKED BY ALIENS

But anyway it's time for Barney Calhoun to figure out how to get the FUCK outta Black Mesa (this sounds familiar.)

He gets to see HECU Marines dumping bodies! Isn't that fun!!! Basically that's how he finds out they're trying to cover up the shit at Black Mesa.

So he's running around doin this stuff n eventually people tell him he's gotta go and find this guy called Dr. Rosenberg. So he does. Rosenberg explains that they can all escape using a prototype of the Lambda Complex teleporter. So yay! That's the plan. Issue is Barney needs to go to Xen in order to make the teleporter fully operational by turning on some kinda machine there.

FUCK. He used all the power for the teleporter getting to and from Xen. So NOW he's gotta go and get like extra batteries and shit. Booooo.

After that tho it's chill he helps other people get into the thing so they can go to a more hidden entrance of Black Mesa and get the hell outta there. He also leaves.

So they're outside and OoooHH SHIT weird... teleporter discharge. He keeps getting transported to random places! Like he sees Gordon being dragged off by the Marines in that one part of the game (that I forgot to mention in the first post because I'm bad at explaining things)

Anyway it's ok they fixed it n now everyone's gettin the hell outta there. Yayyyy. I sure hope only good things happen to Barney Calhoun and the scientists that escaped from Black Mesa in the future. I sure hope nothing bad happens.

Ok anyway I haven't played Half-Life: Opposing Force or Half-Life: Decay so if you ask again the next thing I explain will be Half-Life 2. Or at least some of HL2 a lot of stuff happens in that game.

YANKEES WIN The Yankees defeated the Mariners tonight 10-4. They had a season high 18 hits including 6 doubles & 3 home runs. Aaron Judge was the Yankee batting star of the game. He was 3-4 including 1 double, 2 home runs (17) & 3 RBI's. Jake Bauers had his best game as a Yankee. He was 3-4 including 2 doubles, his 3rd home run & 2 RBI's. Willie Calhoun was 2-5 including 2 doubles & 2 RBI's. Isiah Kiner-Falefa was 2-5 including 1 double & 2 RBI. Kyle Higashioka was 2-5 including 1 RBI.
