Here's a huge throwback circa 10 years ago! I went to @gapplecomics to meet @robkirkman and get his autograph on my Super Dinosaur, Invincible, and TWD books! I had been collecting them for years and was super excited to meet one of my favourite writers. Lo and behold, they had a Super Dinosaur character outside as well! The poor person was cooking in the suit, but also made the experience that much more memorable. What I prize the most from those autographs is that I asked Robert to draw a character for me in the book where he signed. He then said, "you know, I'm not the artist", to which I slyly smiled and said, "I know... I just want something different." He's actually quite the artist and it was really cool seeing him draw Rick, zombies, as well as Mark and the rest of the gang. Books have always been and will continue to be one of my passions. They were the gateway that inevitably led me toward the world of cosplay. Imagine This: A Superhero Origin Story but with a Realistic Twist

Alright everyone, gather round!

I was minding my own business, browsing the internet, watching random videos on Youtube and I come across short clips of this new animated series by Amazon Prime, watched a few of them, spoiled myself on certain plot twist and I said to myself “What the heck let’s watch it.”

So, one day after work, opened my laptop, went to Amazon Prime, next thing I know I’ve binged watched the series a few times a day that I finished the series in less than a week.

A little introduction about this series, so Invincible, is about our young hero, you guessed it Invincible. He just got his powers, he wanted to be a super hero like his dad. We see him struggle learning the powers and responsibilities it comes with it.

But hold up! Superhero genre? Again? You may be thinking that, thanks to the MCU’s success, the superhero genre seems oversaturated or over use, I’m fine with that, I love that genre but there is one thing that made this series very different than most of the super hero movies or series I watched, it has a bit of realism! By realism I mean, actual and gruesome deaths when it comes to those action fighting scenes that happens between two super powered characters.

I know I know, another series by Amazon Prime has done it with “The Boys” but I haven’t watched that yet, we see people get killed, crushed, dismembered and all those other things in the chaos of a superhero and villain fight.

But I can’t go on and on talking about it, I’ll let you decide.

So, in short if you like super hero genre, go for it.
