For the first illustration, I dedicated this one to @capelinssm & @/saliannn on Bluesky & Discord. Currently just finishing the Lunar New Year art gift to both Japanese illustrators whose art I often admire & fell in love with the most!!!!! 🎇🧧🥂🍾

Honestly, this is the first time I drew them lovebirds Ares and Aphrodite in a much more stylized slice-of-life/ shoujo-centered anime style, tbh, inspired by the ones that I grew up in the ‘90s-mid-2000s. Boys over Flower, Nana, Paradise Kiss, Slam Dunk, etc. I have a very soft spot for their use of soft light colors and lineart a lot, as well as their use of patterns & textures in the clothing design too!!

Aphrodite’s look was still hugely inspired by Beyoncé’s outfits in the classic “Crazy in Love” music video; since there is always something both contemporary and modern with her sparking tank top, the denim jean bottoms, and candy apple red pumps that I can’t explain. The 70s psychedelic miniskirt shorts that the goddess wore were inspired by the Emilio Pucci one that I found on Vogue UK-softer colors with an experimental touch. And for the pumps, I based them on these classy but affordable Charles & Keith. 👠👠

For the second one, wanting to do something just for the Greek ladies for a long time: modern-day Ares as that hot Greek dad/fitness trainer and the main chef at their own home who just finished his early morning workout (a bit inspired from @thelonelylemonsquare and from the previous convo with @alatismeni-theitsa in this case), while Aphrodite in her hot lingerie outfit for the special occasion (recommended by my Greek fella, @konstantinos_palamidas on IG). The food that he cooked for her included Greek crustaceans fish soup, spicy seafood pasta, gyros wraps, Mediterranean salad and finally morning coffee!!!🥙🥗🍛🍲🥘

idk if I'm the best person to ask for Mick-centric fic recs. I only have 5 crüe comfort fics and haven't gone through ALL the fics there are on AO3 yet orz

Anyway, here are my personal top 5 in no particular order:

• No chicken or soup by NewBikeWithThePlateRead666 , a short and sweet Crüe x male reader fic that was actually the final push to finally get me into Mötley Crüe for good lol

• Stuffed Up by sabbathgoat , a 3 chapter long (very filthy) polycrue fic focused on Mick that got me through some dark times, literally saved my life. WHICH APPEARS TO HAVE BEEN DELETED??? All I'm getting is a 404 page and idk how to feel haha... (oops I'm crying now, almost all of their work is gone, the author also did some amazing KISS fics...)

• She wears short skirts, I wear T-shirts, the nikkimick fic I already talked about in a previous ask where Mick wears a mini skirt to the studio and Nikki is internally losing his mind, wanting to worship Mick's body and pining like crazy <3

okay so how this is gonna work is this is me explaining everything about pandora and the na’vi people :D so like cultural, what it’s like living with the omatikaya clan vs the metkayina and so on

omatikaya clan

okay so in my dr the omatikaya clan still live in the home tree simply because I wanted to experience what it’s like to be there

where our hammocks are in my dr are is basically just split up into families and in alphabetical order

so since we are sully we are pretty high up in the tree, (that’s why I was so scared when tuk was jumping on me to wake up) and the way our hammocks are ordered was jake and neytiri are the first ones, (they also had the biggest hammock) then it’s neteyam’s, kiri’s, lo’aks’ mine, and then tuk’s but tuk would sleep in anyone else’s hammock but hers

the food in the omatikaya clan is much different than the metkayina clan. the food with the omatikaya is spicy

that’s because the peppers they use grow from trees and when you’re in the forest you know there’s gonna be a lot of those around naturally

the spice level is pretty high tho I’d say my spice tolerance is pretty good it’s not very often that I get to the point were I’m opening my mouth a little bit to cool it down in there but that happened literally the first day I was there. and it was like 9am I was like damn

when it comes to arts the omatikaya is really into carving, I watched one of the girls there her name is okalia and she’s a really good she made a 5 foot version of home tree and like all the little details were crazy she did a really good job

but she isn’t the only one there’s a group of people that are really good and some that are beginners but every weekend there’s a competition for kids who like to crave and a competition for beginners, and one for the advanced

on the opposite end of arts, the omatikaya is really into sports as well there’s something called veriktia and it’s DANGEROUS

veriktia is like racing?? but with banshees, so it’s like a group of 8 and then have a starting point and an ending point and it gets COMPETITIVE like the people playing get aggressive and so do the banshees but it’s fun to watch nevertheless even tho I nearly rip my hair out every time (NO BANSHEES GET HURT IN THE PROCESS DONT WORRY)

on the topic of hair a lot of people in the movies have their hair in braids and it was the same thing in my dr. my hair is a bit different tho because I don’t know how comfortable I feel having what’s basically box braids and crown rows in my hair

but the hair I have over there is really long like past my waist and it’s a mix of my hair being down and having a few braids (regular ones) in my hair. I also have bangs and it was so funny to see the metkayina people react to it because apparently they had never seen someone with bangs?? I also have a few of omatikaya traditional hair jewelry in there

I don’t think they have a specific system housing system? and if they do I don’t know it but I think they just put us in our marui because nobody was living there

the food over there is best described as light and refreshing but even tho it’s like that it’s also filling

it mostly something that reminds me a lot of rice, fish, fruit, noodles, and vegetables.

the fruit and the vegetables all grow underwater and the “rice” grows from these trees and you have to shake it out from the flowers (also can I just say that the rice is purple)

when we had dinner the our first night there we had this soup and I remember thinking that it tasted like miso soup

the soup was called sowa and it was veggies and some noodles :D (the noodles are made out of rice so the noodles were also purple it was so pretty)

I sadly don’t know enough about the metkayina clan because I only spent one day there :( but I will make posts about what the people are like! .^◡^.

Here's some Snapcube streams I like:

Her Ratchet and Clank Ms. Marathon series, where she played through all the major Ratchet and Clank titles through to Rift Apart, is really strong and builds on the vibes that the games have. I've said it before, but "selling Clank for 640,000 bolts" is one of my favourite Snapcube bits, and that's after a whole game of great bits - and there's like six more game playthroughs with great bits of their own right after that.

One of my favourite playthroughs of the year has been Dragon Quest 8, which ended due to a busted PS3. I really dig on that earnest RPG adventure experience that this playthrough has - it's a great juxtaposition between like some super unique and charming RPG problem-solving and world-building from the game itself, and Penny's characterisation of the silent MC as lame, rude and aloof. The run is incomplete, but the streams that are there are really good and it might get you to play the game for yourself.

Her Sonic Unleashed playthrough with Mar just finished. It took me a few minutes to get into Mar's performance as Chip, like I didn't think I'd like the exaggeratedly cloying kid sidekick characterisation, but it was such a short turnaround from "oh man idk about this" to like gut-busting laughter. Mar takes Chip up to 11 and it absolutely rules, and whether Penny and Mar are bouncing off of each other or doing their own solo bits between Sonic and Chip, the ride literally never ends and it's such a good time. Penny's appreciation of the Jason Griffith era of Sonic really shines through; whether you're a VODhead or mostly acquainted through the Real-Time Fandubs, this is essential viewing.

Both of the Fairly Odd Parents games she covered are great watches. They're cel-shaded PS2 platformers that capture the vibe of the show, even with the PS2-era licensed game crust. One's better than the other, but I even liked the generic cookie-cutter NPC characters in Breakin' Da Rules that don't feel like they fit in with the property's art style, specifically because they were generic cookie-cutter NPC characters that don't fit in with the property's art style. I grew up with the PS2, so even the crustiest PS2 licensed game jank is like chicken soup for the brain.

I can't name every stream in her catalogue because not every game appeals to me, or because I want to get to those streams after I play the games for myself. Penny has done streams for the Norse Mythology God of War games, she's done a Ms. Marathon for the Halo games and the InFamous games, she played through both of the Last of Us games, a bunch of the Resident Evil games, Jak and Daxter, Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Metroid Prime, Kingdom Hearts - and the list goes on. I didn't even get to Yakuza 7 (OR MIDNIGHT SNAP I LOVE MIDNIGHT SNAP), and I'm not going back to find a link but it's there.

Measuring by the hour, there's weeks worth of Snapcube video content, and there are video edits on her main channel that are approx. 30 minutes long if the full streams are too daunting for you. Future Snapcube streams and videos are gonna be great fun, but rather than hanging on for the next stream, I wanted to highlight some older streams that I really enjoyed as well as to highlight a large swath of her other stuff for people to potentially go back and enjoy at their own discretion. There's twenty TotK streams. There's fourteen Dragon Quest 8 streams. There's twenty-seven Ratchet and Clank Ms. Marathon streams over 7+ games. The content is there.

Flu Season Part Two: Sick Day - Jimmy Lanik x Reader

Part One: Flu Season

To Jimmy’s immense surprise you were awake when he checked in during his lunchbreak.

Your head perked up when you saw him step into the apartment. A small smile blessed your features as you pressed pause on the show you were watching. You were wrapped up in one of Jimmy’s sweaters, the sleeves were rolled up just over your elbows. You were wearing black leggings and your hair was pulled back into a messy bun. You had your work tablet on your lap and were tapping away at the screen.

Jimmy’s eyes flickered to the T.V, the bright happy faces of the Monsters Inc cast were frozen on the screen indicating that you were near the beginning of the movie. You always watched Pixar films when you were ill.  Sometimes both of you needed to be reminded that happy endings did exist.

"You’re supposed to be resting." Jimmy pointed out as he balanced a steaming container of chicken soup in one hand and a sachet of crackers in the other.

"I think I've managed to sleep off the majority of it." You concluded placing the tablet down on the coffee table. "That and the cold medication you gave me seems to have worked some wonders."

"You are looking for a lot better." Jimmy admitted, placing the soup down on the table.

He raised his hand, pressing the back of it to your forehead in order to check your temperature. This morning before he left, you had been practically burning up, now you were a more normal temperature. Jimmy dropped onto the couch beside you, satisfied by the latest development.

"I feel a lot better." You told him.

"You need to eat." Jimmy prompted opening the sachet of crackers and prodding them towards you.

"I'll try." You promised with a weary expression as you rubbed your unsettled stomach lightly. "My tummy is still a little bit queasy."

"At least try and eat a little." Jimmy persisted, reaching over and stirring the soup in an attempt to make it look more appetising.

"I am not afraid to give you this cold." You told him, your gaze dropping to his mouth with a tiny smile.

Jimmy raised his free hand used it to gently cover your pert pink lips as you lingered dangerously in his proximity. The fact you were clad in his clothing made you all the more enticing, he wondered what you were wearing underneath the material, and it made his skin flush with anticipation.

"Behave." Jimmy managed to say as he jerked himself away from the image of you lying naked underneath him.

"But you like it so much better when I don't." You mumbled against the palm of his hand, the sensation of your soft lips tickling his skin.

"You’re trying to seduce me, so I forget about the soup." Jimmy countered, trying to keep his mind on his purpose, instead of the feel of your lips wrapped around his cock.

Your fingers grasped his wrist and pulled it away from your mouth revealing a petulant grin. Your eyes were burning with mischief as you struggled onto your knees, bringing your bodies even closer together so the material of your clothes brushed lightly.

"You’re putting up a good fight Jimmy, but I can see the evidence from here." You said looking pointedly at his erection as it strained against his jeans.

Clearly fighting you wasn't working. Jimmy knew when you wanted something. So, he tried bargaining.

"Eat the soup and I’ll take you away next weekend." Jimmy offered.

You eyes lit up and he knew he had you. It had been a while since the two of had spent some quality time together and he knew you craved it just as much as he did.

“A bed and breakfast on Lake Geneva, or maybe Saugatuck. We could tour the art galleries, try out the local breweries.” Jimmy suggested, his fingertips trailing over your arm. "But only if you eat the soup."

You complied, picking up the spoon and proceeding to devour the dish in small increments. At least that was something he didn’t have to worry about when he headed back to work. You finished up eating before Jimmy’s arm wrapped around your shoulders drawing you close. You tucked yourself against him, your eyes closing as your head came to rest on his chest, listening to the steady beating of his heart.

"I can only stay for a few more minutes." Jimmy told you, his lips brushing tenderly over your forehead. “I wish I could take the afternoon off and stay with you like this for the rest of the day.”

"I know." You murmured, taking solace in his presence, even if it was only for a couple more minutes. “That’s why I love you.”

Hello! It’s time for another “Take a Taste”! The series is about delicious food with my two paper dolls.

Aww yeah, another round of going "Mang Inasal" restaurant? Yes, please! 😋 This Time, I'm invited with my parents at the different Mang Inasal branch, on Mar 26th, 2024. 🏢🍴 However, once again, I broke the rules for not eating meat this year's "Holy Week", so please forgive me. 😔 Nevertheless, here's my review of Mang Inasal's famous dish, the "Chicken Inasal", particularly the "Breast" part (in Tagalog we called it "Pecho" [pi-cho]) I ordered 🍴🍗. And let's not forget, the "Unlimited Rice" (or "Unli Rice" for short)! ➕🍚🤤 So will I satisfied with my order as my previous one? 🤔 Let's find out, right now! 😀

• Here's what "Chicken Inasal" looks like in all of its perfect serving 🇵🇭🍗; let alone the slightly mess on my "Unli Rice" green plate. Plus, let's not forget the free warm 'Tamarind Soup' 🇵🇭 🫘 🥣, as well as the condiments that we mentioned in my previous topic, in Jan 2024. *Sniff* (2x) Can you smell the burning charcoal goodness, you two? I bet you are! 🍴🍗🍚🤤 Unfortunately, I didn't get the "Unlimited Java Rice" (over the owing to a different menu. That's all right, I should make another plan, someday. 🤷‍♀️

BTW: We decided to drink water over soda for budget reason. 🥛💧

• Anyway, normally I used cutlery as my main purpose for three meal servings (Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner), both at home and at food-related establishments. Just like you're doing it daily. 🍴 However, for this day, it's time to get my hands on the traditional "Filipino Way"! 😁 That's right! We Filipino blood (like myself) use our human hand/hands as our traditional cutlery, whether there's a meal on the plate or a meal on the large banana leaf. The latter was another traditional "Filipino Way" called the "Boodle Fight". 🇵🇭🤲🍚🍗🐟😋 "It's a meal that dispenses with cutlery and dishes. Diners instead practice kamayan and eat straight off the table unlike typical instances of eating with the hands of individual plates", according to my rapid research. 🔍🌐

My Recorded Video 🎦🎞️: ↑

• Thankfully, I have my recorded video shot at 60fps for the FIRST TIME! 🎦⏺️📱😃 Also, my first muted video sound because it is super noisy inside, even in ✝️ "Holy Week" ⛪. Okay, it's actually two videos I recorded, so I combined them into one (using Filmora 9). 🙂

• All video aside, here's me using my single right hand as my cutlery after I washed my hands (before recording). You can see, I'm picking a small amount of grilled chicken with my bare fingers before I dip in some chicken oil I put some small amount of rice, and shove it through my mouth. It is super DELICIOUS! 🍗🍚🤤 I also doing it again, this time I'm dipping a fuse of chicken oil and some soy sauce! Yum-yum! 😋 Yeah, it could be messy and I should request plastic gloves, but I simply can't help myself without wearing plastic gloves. As for the "Unli Rice", I requested two rounds of steamy rice from the food server before I was done eating and sipping a little tamarind soup, and then I coughed. 😫 I'll be fine, though. 😅

• Overall? Just like before, it was satisfied our taste buds from eating a Chicken Inasal Pecho with Unlimited Rice! Which, by the way, I decided to take home my leftover grilled chicken for any day meal. 🍗😊 And, what can I say? Chicken Inasal did everything right for the past decades, and they never stopped serving the Philippine people (like us)! 🇵🇭🍗😋

• As for the asking price? It cost ₱199 ($3.49) 💵 w/ "Unlimited Rice" included. However, if you want a single shot of steamy rice and not a "Unlimited Rice", then it cost ₱164 ($2.87) 💵 for Solo choice. To me "Rice is Life", so I'm definitely gonna order a meal with "Unlimited Rice". 🍗🍚➕😋
