Kinktober Day 25 - Edgeplay
Summary: You trust him no matter what, even when he pushes your body to its limits.
Pairing: Cody x reader
Warnings: NSFW, 18+, edgeplay, BDSM, RACK, pain play, bondage, electroshock, teasing, sex toys, unprotected sex, implied discussion and consent beforehand, established relationship, aftercare
Summary: Please heed the warnings on this one and do your research if you’re unsure because it’s a heavy fic that involves a lot of boundary pushing. Also going to add a disclaimer to this one, if you want to try something like this, please do your research beforehand and consult your doctor if you’re unsure. This can be very unsafe if done incorrectly and can be very dangerous for people with certain medical conditions. So please do your research and make sure you’re practicing it safely if you do try.
Also, I didn’t wind up keeping the discussion part in the fic, but I just wanted everyone to know that their safeword is “sunshine.”
MASTERLIST
Tumblr media
You stare up at him as he tugs at the restraints around your wrists one last time. You’re spread out on the bed, wrists and ankles secured so you can’t pull away. The restraints are tight, not enough to hurt, but enough to remind you you’re not going anywhere.
He turns the vibrator stuffed into your pussy up a notch, a quiet moan leaving your lips. You clamp around it, already wet from his teasing touches earlier, and the thought of what’s to come. He steps away from the bed, moving to where the rest of his tools are laid out. He takes his time looking them over, the anticipation building as excited nerves twist in your stomach.
You watch his back, muscles flexing as he reaches out and wraps his hand around one of the tools. He lifts it high enough for you to see as he looks it over, your pussy clenching in anticipation. Your body jerks subconsciously as he turns it on, the electric crackle loud in the silence of the room.
Your chest is heaving as he moves over to your side, that hard look in his eyes he gets when he’s focused. Your body tenses as he lowers the wand to your skin, trailing it down your sternum. Your stomach clenches in anticipation as he draws a shape on your skin, teasing you. Your heart is thudding in your chest, waiting for the inevitable jolt of electricity through you.
It’s sudden and sharp, startling you despite the fact you knew it was coming. Your body jolts as the prickly sensation travels across your skin where he shocked you. Your pussy clenches, the low setting making it hardly more than a tickle, but the surprise makes it so much more intense.
You yelp as he shocks you again, this time lower on your stomach. Your pussy clenches again, the electricity going straight to your clit. He drags the wand lower, pressing it right at the top of your slit. You’re expecting it, but the shock still makes you yelp, your whole body writhing from the sensation. You’re panting now, breathy moans being pulled from your lips as he circles your clit with the tip of the wand.
You let out a strangled moan as he shocks your clit, the sensation almost driving you over the edge. It stings, but the pain blends with the pleasure coursing through your body. He watches your face, waits for any sign that you might safeword or for any sign it might be too much but you’re nowhere near that point yet. He shocks you again, your body jerking as the pleasure becomes overwhelming. Your eyes roll back, your thighs trying to close but they’re held still by the restraints. Cody ramps the vibrator up in intensity again, your body writhing on the bed as white hot pleasure sears through you.
He watches you lose yourself in the pleasure, taking in the sight of you writing under his ministrations. Normally he’d punish you for cumming without permission, but he’ll excuse you this once. You always lose control of yourself whenever he tortures your body like this.
He turns up the intensity on the wand, shocking your stomach again. You let out a cry as the sharp sting of electricity burns through you. The pain is threatening to overtake the pleasure rushing through you. It’s too much and not enough at the same time. His hand smooths over your stomach as he circles the tip of the wand teasingly around your nipple. You hold your breath in anticipation for the shock that might come.
It doesn’t come, instead he drags the tip of the wand back down to your slit as he moves to stand between your legs. Your thighs clench in anticipation, body jerking as he shocks your hip. He drags the wand back to your slit, dragging it over your clit before shocking it again. You let out a moan, toes curling as the pleasure and pain burns through you.
He turns the vibrator up again, continuing to switch between circling your clit and shocking it. You breathe out curses between cries of pain and pleasure, your pussy seeping with arousal as you get closer and closer to your second orgasm.
"You want to cum?" He asks, pressing the wand hard against your clit.
"Yes!" You cry, legs trembling and hips jerking from the intense pleasure "Please!"
He shocks your clit again, holding it there for a second before pulling back. Your vision nearly blacks out as you cum again, your body arching off the bed as it writhes in pleasure.
Cody's placed the wand back in its place when you become aware again, and he's kneeling between your legs, pulling the vibrator from your spasming pussy. You whimper at the feeling, his fingers trailing through your soaked folds. He's ditched his pants, hand jerking his hard cock as his fingers brush your sensitive clit.
"Such a good girl for me." He says, shifting his body over yours. He drags his cock through your folds, your body jerking in response.
You whimper as he sinks into you, your pussy still sensitive and tingling from the electric shock and your two orgasms. "Wanna be good for you, sir." You mumble, his body flattening against yours as he seats himself inside you.
"You're always good for me." He praises you, kissing your jaw before slowly rocking his hips into you.
You tug at the restraints, body sore and sensitive from the electric shocks. The pain and pleasure continue to mix as he rolls his hips into yours, staring down at your face as he fucks you.
You hold his gaze, unable to do anything but let him fuck you. You love being at his mercy, you love letting him do what he wants to you because you trust him to always take care of you.
"Gonna cum for me?" He grunts, feeling the way you spasm around him.
"Please, sir." You beg, hips jerking against his as you get closer and closer. "Please can I cum."
"You think you deserve it?" He asks, not slowing his thrusts any.
“Yes!” You cry out, writhing beneath him. “Please, I’ve been so good.”
“You have been good.” He says, smoothing a hand over your face. “You can cum.”
“Thank you sir!” You cry out, letting yourself go.
You cum with a cry, spasming around him. He groans, burying his face in your neck as he fucks you through your orgasm, chasing his own high. It’s starting to hurt, the overstimulation burning as he finally cums, his thrusts losing their rhythm as his hips jerk against yours. He fills your pussy, groaning into your neck.
He doesn’t move his body, keeping it pressed to yours as he reaches up, undoing the restraints around your wrists. You’re still trembling from your orgasms, your arms wrapping around him as soon as they’re free. He presses gentle kisses to your neck, wrapping his arms around your body, pulling you tightly against him.
“Good job.” He says, pressing kisses up your jaw to your face, covering it in kisses. “You’re such a good girl.”
You mewl under his praise, pressing yourself as close to him as you can get. You love it when he praises you, when he calls you his good girl. That’s what you want to be, after all. You always want to be his good girl.

Special Day
Cody x GN Reader
Word Count: 918
Warnings: NSFW, minors DNI, oral sex (m receiving), facial, praise, handjob/fingering (vaguely described so it's gender neutral), light dom/sub dynamics, bit of pleasure dom Cody (light neck biting, but nothing really painful), aftercare
A/N: Just here to give the people what they want. Sorry though, I didn't have time to proofread this. Established relationship assumed.
Tumblr media
"What are you doing," Cody asked with a sly grin. The minute he was through the door, you walked him backwards toward the bedroom. You tugged on his shirt as you pushed him to sit on the bed.
"Just wanted to treat you to a little something," you replied with a grin.
"Why?"
"Let's just say it's a special day. I've decided."
He grinned and engulfed your lips with his own. You kissed him, nibbling slightly on his lower lip as you undid his trousers.
"You're not wasting any time," he said.
"It's been awhile," you replied. "Let me treat you."
He nodded and kissed your cheek. You knelt in front of him and moved his pants down a bit further, giving you more access and a glimpse of his muscular thighs. You kissed each side of the base of his cock, taking it in your hand and admiring how quickly he stood at attention. You looked up at him with a smile on your face as you sank your lips around the tip. He immediately groaned. It really had been awhile. You started to slowly bob your head, massaging his thighs as you did so. Your hum sent shivers down his spine.
"So good," he said through short breaths. "So good to me."
You hummed and grinned as you continued to work him with your mouth. You relaxed your jaw further and pushed your tongue forward a bit, giving more attention to the underside of his cock and simultaneously allowing him further into your mouth. Cody couldn't help but put both hands on your head, searching for extra closeness as you sucked on him. He was getting close and you both felt it.
"Wait," he said, reaching down to cup your cheek and pull you away from his length. "Come here. You're not getting out of a little lovin' yourself."
You got up and he helped you shimmy out of your own pants. Cody had you sit on his lap, facing him. He held you in one strong arm and with the other his hand reached down toward your own arousal.
"Getting off on all this, are you," he asked teasingly.
You nodded, almost feeling shy.
"You're going to get off with just my hand alone," he commanded. You nodded again and felt your breath hitch. He made sure there was a healthy lubrication as he started to pleasure you. He knew exactly how to touch you and how much pressure to use. You wanted to close your eyes, but were lost in his.
"That feels good," he said. "I know it does." You moaned as if on cue. "Keep making those sounds. I want to hear how good I'm making you feel." You moaned again as he picked up the pace. You felt his length bump against your own heat, only adding to the sensation.
"You're thinking of my cock inside you, aren't you?"
You grinned at him.
"You're gonna cum on my hand, though." He kept going faster, leaning forward to nip at your neck while he pushed you closer to the brink. You came, feeling as if your entire body were vibrating with warmth and the sight keeping him hard and ready.
"That's it," he said. "So good for me, cyare."
He gave you some time to recover, kissing you tenderly before you got back on your knees to finish what you'd started. You took him in your mouth again, your thighs almost shaking after your orgasm. You sucked on his head slowly, still taking your time.
"Touch my balls." He longed for the extra sensation. You complied, massaging them in a way you knew he liked and loving when he told you what he wanted. Cody quietly grunted at the feeling, clearly enjoying himself. He smiled down at you while you began to take more and more of him into your mouth. It didn't take long for him to approach his own high.
"Wanna finish on your face," he managed to gasp.
You released his cock and sat there, smiling and ready for him. Cody pumped his cock and came on your face with a groan, his spend landing on your cheeks and around your mouth.
"You look so good like that," he said, admiring you. He leaned down into a kiss. "Now let's get cleaned up."
He helped you stand and you both hung on to each other as you wandered to the refresher. The first thing he did was turn on the water and get a washcloth. He gently wiped away his cum and made sure you were okay. As you stepped into the shower together, he cleaned you off with the utmost care. You both enjoyed the warm water falling down your backs and Cody pulled you into a hug.
As he held you under the shower he whispered, "I love you" and kissed your earlobe sweetly. You grinned up at him and replied, "I love you too."
You came together again in a tender kiss.
"I think tomorrow should be your special day," he said with a sly smile.
"If you say so."
"Oh I know so," he replied. He held you closer and nuzzled his nose and cheek against your neck. He left a kiss in the crook of your neck before you turned off the water. You each got a towel for each other and took turns drying each other off. You wrapped up in your favorite blankets, relaxing on the couch together well into the night.

Hi! I'm a Cody simp and I would love to see you write how Cody reacts to me graduating med school and reaching my lifelong dream
Of course! Congratulations on graduating medical school! I think every single clone would be so proud of you ❤️❤️❤️ It's hard work doing what you did and you pushed through and made it out on the other side. That's amazing! 🥰

Shining Star
Cody thinks the world of you. His cyare has finally achieved their dreams!
Tumblr media
Warnings: None. Just some fluffity fluff.
--------------------------------------------------
You waited nervously behind the stage, fiddling with your robes and the tassel to your cap.
“Relax!” Your friend nudged you as she whispered. “He’ll be here!”
"I know..." You whispered back. "But...but what if he sees me and..."
"Stop." Your friend cut you off. "He's gonna see you and he's gonna be so kriffing proud. I know he is!"
You opened your mouth to respond but the line was moving. It was time to go.
***
Your name was called and you walked across the stage. Hardly listening to anything the announcer was saying, you focused on finding a certain Marshall Commander in the crowd. There he was, standing towards the back of the room. The anxiety that had been slowly creeping into your chest melted away, replaced by a euphoric sense of pride as the professor handed you your diploma. You beamed, locking eyes with the Commander. His face was strong and stoic but you could see the pride shimmering behind his serious demeanor as the lights from the stage lit up his eyes.
My cyare.
He stood tall in the crowd, stiffly at attention, giving you the respect you so deserved in the only way he knew how.
As you stood proudly, reciting your oaths beside your classmates, you kept your eyes on the Marshal Commander. His eyes hadn’t left yours for the entire ceremony and he wasn’t about to look away now - not at what was the happiest moment of your life so far.
The rest of the ceremony went by quickly.
You exited the stage, nearly skipping with an energized excitement, towards the back of the room where you'd seen him - but he wasn't there. The euphoric sense of excitement in your chest slowly ebbed.
Where had he gone? Did he really just leave without saying anything to you?
Your heart sank slightly. You'd known he was a busy man but at least he could've said goodbye - or at least commed you to tell you he couldn't stay. Tears of disappointment began to well behind your eyes as you walked back up to the front to grab your belongings. You didn't feel like celebrating. You knew the pride would return soon enough; you deserved this with or without Marshall Commander Cody there beside you. But right now you just wanted to go home.
Suddenly a hand wrapped itself around your wrist, yanking you into the waiting area behind the stage.
"Hey! I...." your shout of warning was cut off as a pair of warm lips met yours. Cody. He hadn't left after all.
Strong arms wrapped around you tightly, lifting you off your feet, spinning you around as he broke off the kiss.
Gone was that professional stiffness of a solider. A soft smile stretched across his lips as he gazed into your eyes. He set you gently back down onto your feet but didn't remove his hands from your waist.
"I'm so proud of you, cyar'ika." He said warmly in his deep, sensual voice. His eyes sparkled, caught in the lights from the dimly lit room. He placed a kiss to your forehead and brushed a stray hair from your face, tucking it safely back behind your ear.
"I told you that you could do it. I told you, you'd make it through and here we are."
The pride at your accomplishments swelled once again as you stood quickly onto your tip toes, throwing your arms around his neck.
"I did it!" You whispered gleefully, giggling with that rush of euphoria. "I did it!"
His lips met yours again and you closed your eyes, savoring every second of this momentous occasion.
"You did it cyar'ika!" He whispered back. "I love you so much! I'm so kriffing proud."
You pulled back slightly, looking up into his eyes. "You know," you began, smiling, the feeling of euphoric pride still swelling inside. "I wasn't sure I'd make it this far."
"But you did!" Cody replied. "You did and you should be proud of yourself."
You nodded, "This is the proudest I've ever been. This is who I've wanted to be my whole life."
Cody's smile was dizzying as he looked down into your eyes, chest filled with pride. "When I met you, the first thing I noticed about you was your passion. You were so driven in everything you did. You love people. You want to heal and help. You want to see them thrive."
He placed another kiss to your forehead. "The world needs someone like you, cyar'ika. You're going to save so many lives."
I know nothing about medical school or graduating from medical school, so I hope that sounded okay! Congratulations again!

She couldn’t help the bolt of aching want she felt race down to her core from where his fingertips trailed up her back to tangle in her wild, dark hair.
Send me an ask with the first sentence of a fanfic and I’ll write the next five.

“You’re so pretty, cyar’ika.” Cody cooed, gingerly pulling her hair to give him a better angle of her neck. “Spent a whole briefing thinking about what I want to do to you.” He leaned down to trace circles along her pulse point and groaned softly. “Can you be a good girl for me and let me show you what I came up with?”

“Cody, Cody, ahh–”
The only tangible response you get is the slightest pull away from your sopping pussy and a breathless chuckle before he goes back to the task at hand.
He’s wanted you like this for weeks now. You know that when he comes home to you, pressing his entire body onto yours and kissing you breathless. Neither of you care that he’s still in his kit, it’ll come off anyway when you make it to the bedroom. You simply need each other as two human beings, two people so in love who can’t bear all the time apart.
“`Missed you.” Through the waves of unrelenting pleasure, you manage to say what you both feel, but not without letting out a moan when you finish your thought. Cody hums, half as a response, half as a way to further stimulate you, the vibrations of his voice making your thighs shake under his grip. You sigh.
“I know,” Is his only response, but his tone isn’t smug. It’s instead an affirmation, assurance that you weren’t foolish in your wanton longing, and it makes you feel even the slightest twinge better. His tongue runs over you, slow and gentle, making you let out a delicate moan; Cody smiles into your pussy.
“You’re so good to me, baby,” He mutters. You lift your head to glimpse his face and see how truly pussy-drunk he looks; his eyes are half-lidded, threatening to close as his jaw remains slack with his tongue hanging out, reveling in your taste. He’s perfect, you decide, and reach down to search for his hand. Once you do lazily interlock fingers, your head falls back again. “So, so good.”
Cody lets his tongue do most of the work, having it run through your lips to finely part them in articulate movements; sporadically, he allows it to push, find the shallow parts of your entrance and swirl it there. He pulls away the moment you begin to whimper, and every time you squeeze his hand in retaliation, whining louder for him to feel guilty.
“Oh, please,” You mewl pathetically; it’s hard to feel shame or dignity in your boyfriend’s presence, and frankly, you don’t wish to. “I’m so close, I–fuck–”
He takes your clit into his mouth as you’re talking and sucks, rendering you a gasping mess; your body twitches, and the hand not interlocked with yours presses to your stomach, pinning you to the mattress. Cody’s firm, his force as relentless here as it is on a battlefield, and you know he won’t let you slip past his hold until he has you gushing over his tongue.
You reach that peak fast. In your haze you buck against him, ass lifting off the soaked mattress to press your pussy onto his face. Whispers of your name leave you, choked and pushed from your chest as he gets his fill, and once you’re fully satiated, he lifts and moves your hand to run against his face, against all your juices.
“I’m gonna marry you just for doing that,” You sigh out, a dopey smile etched onto your please-ridden face.
Cody smiles, pressing a firm kiss to your palm, leaving a coat of wetness in its trail.
“Oh, it would be my honor, cyar’ika.”

Paring~ Cody x FOC
Warnings~ None, just fluff and longing. (Please let me know if I’ve missed something.)
A/N~ This is my first time posting my writing! I appreciate any and all feedback and suggestions! Thank you!
She was sitting on her knees, working on a certain red astromech, when he approached her. He could tell she was late into her shift because the top of her jumpsuit was tied around her waist, and there were strands of hair swaying free from her regulation knot.
Her voice drifted through the empty repair bay as she spoke to the little droid.
"Alright, R4, how’s that feel?”
The mech trilled and spun her scomp happily.
“Good! You’re all set, then. Report back to the generals, fighter.”
R4 seemed less than thrilled about having to return to her post. She made a low tone and spun toward the hanger.
“R4 took damage in the battle this morning?”
Einara started, fumbling with her spanner wrench before hastily getting to her feet.
“Oh! Commander! Yes, but not badly; she just needed a new power cell for her shock prod. While I had her here, I went ahead and serviced her hyperdrive chip and added..."
She twirled a loose strand of hair before pausing.
“I’m rambling now. sorry lo..sir.”
Cody chuckled, hiding his grin behind his hand.
“You’re fine, Ein’ika.” He reassured.
Blushing at the nickname, she glanced around them before meeting his gaze.
“You weren’t hurt, were you?” Her eyes scanning him, looking for injuries.
“No meshla; today was mostly testing their defenses.”
“So no droids got punched?”
He faltered slightly. “Well...”
“Cody!”
“It’s more efficient!” He defended, laughing as he gently caught her wrists before she could turn away from him.
She pressed herself against him, and he guided her hands around his neck.
They stood in comfortable silence, appreciating the physical closeness of each other.
Cody began to sway them both slightly, sliding his hands down to her waist.
She sighed happily, toying with the curls at the base of his neck.
The moment was broken too soon by the beep of Cody’s wrist comm.
Groaning, he pulled her closer to him.
“I wish we could stay like this.”
She buried her face in his neck and placed a light kiss on the skin above his collar.
“I know love; I do too. But the Republic needs us.”
She began to step back, and he cupped her face. Pressing his forehead against hers, he stared into her eyes.
“The Republic may own my body, meshla, but my heart stays with you.”
Einara opened her mouth to reply, but another beep interrupted her.
Cody straightened and offered a small smile before it was replaced by the stalwart face of the Marshal Commander.
He turned on his heel, bringing his wrist to his face.
“Go for Cody.”
Einara watched until he was out of sight. Holding close the memory of the man beneath the title.
A shove at her leg brought her out of her thoughts.
A little custodian droid warbled at her side, a trail of oil behind him.
“Right, let’s get that leak fixed. Shall we?”

Carry Me Home
Summary: You live a quiet life, away from stress and danger. So of course Fate had to drop you right in the middle of an active battle to meet your soulmate.
Pairing: Commander Cody x reader Soulmate AU
Warnings: NSFW, smut, unprotected sex, no foreplay, Soulmate AU, brief violence and description of a battle, as usual reader has a bit of a backstory just so the story flows better.
A/N: This one I think is my least favorite so far. I've fought with it all week and just decided to go with it. I love Cody, but goddamn is he hard for me to write.

Getting dropped right in the middle of a battlefield was not how you planned to spend your weekend.
You were sitting down to enjoy your favorite book when you had the sudden uncomfortable sensation of being pulled through a thin tube and instead of your comfortable chair, your butt hits dirt.
It takes a second for you to fully comprehend what’s happening. Your apartment has disappeared, and instead you’re outside. It’s very loud where you are as the ringing in your ears begins to fade. Your vision aso clears, and you find yourself staring up at...a helmet?
There’s a figure directly in front of you, just inches from your feet. He’s kneeling behind a rock, blaster in hand. He’s dressed in armor, armor that’s familiar to you. You’d seen it countless times in the news, and a few times on your own home planet.
This is not good.
It’s only a matter of seconds, but it feels like a lifetime that you stare at him in shock. You don’t have much time to think it over as he reaches for you, tugging you behind the rock far too easily. He covers your body with his just moments before an explosion rains debris right on you.
“Stay down!” He orders, pressing a hand into the back of your head.
You’re compacted into a rather uncomfortable crouched position, but you’re not about to move as he goes back to firing. Your hands cover your ears as explosions rain from both sides. Your heart is pounding, feeling like it might beat right out of your chest. You close your eyes, praying this is some cruel dream your brain has thought up. You’re panicking, but you have every right to.
This is not what you had pictured when you had thought up your weekend plans.
You’ve always preferred a quiet life. You weren’t adventurous or impulsive. If you were going to do something, lots of planning went into it first. You were perfectly happy spending your weekends relaxing at home with a holonovel or a film.
Not in the middle of a major battle.
How did you come to be here?
Or better yet, why were you here?
You’re stuck far too long in that position, tucked into a ball behind the rock as blaster and cannon fire flies over your head. You’re stressed beyond belief, adrenaline pumping through your body. Your home planet, Alderaan, was involved in the war heading the relief effort and taking in refugees. You had heard countless stories about what it was like, but none of them could compare to actually being in it.
How the clones do this time and time again is beyond you.
You’re shaking, joints protesting as you’re helped to your feet. The blaster fire has stopped, the world seeming far too quiet after that absolute nightmare. His grip around your arm is tight. He’s not holding you to keep you steady.
He practically drags you through the battlefield, past dead and injured troopers. He doesn’t seem affected at all, your weak legs trying to keep pace with his determined stride. You try not to look, your stomach churning at the thought of all of those people dead, and for what?
It doesn’t take you long to figure out where he’s leading you as you approach who you assume is the Jedi General in charge, judging by the look of him.
“Who is this?” He asks as you come to stand in front of him.
“Unsure, sir. She appeared in the middle of the battle.” The clone says.
“Appeared?” He asks in disbelief.
“Out of thin air.” The clone answers. “Right in front of me.”
“Strange.” The Jedi mumbles, stroking his chin as he stares at you for a moment. He turns to another clone. “Escort her back to the ship. Keep her in a holding cell until we return.”
The clone holding you releases your arm, the other taking his place. You’re led to a gunship, your eyes drifting back to where the first clone and the Jedi are standing for just a moment.
“What are you thinking, sir?” Cody asks, looking at Obi-Wan.
“I don’t think she’s dangerous. Nor is she a spy.” Obi-Wan answers.
“Then why do you think she appeared here?”
Obi-Wan smiles at Cody, a familiar glint in his eye. “The Force works in mysterious ways. Perhaps she was sent here to help.”
***
You sit in the holding cell, fingers tapping on the table anxiously. You’re still shaking a bit from the adrenaline rush, your body very unused to such high levels of stress. You tried to avoid it for that very reason. The trooper that had brought you to the cruiser is standing in the corner behind you, watching you carefully. His unwavering stare is also making you nervous, even though you haven’t done anything wrong.
You grab the cup that’s sitting on the table, taking a sip of the cool water. He had at least been decent enough to get you some water. You’re terribly thirsty after sitting in the middle of a battle for what was probably close to an hour. You’re also starting to get hungry, or perhaps that’s just the nerves twisting away in your stomach.
You’re not sure how long it’s been, not that having a window would have told you much. The eternal darkness of space wasn’t a good indicator of time.
“Apologies for the wait,” The Jedi says. “There was still much to be done after the battle.”
“No apologies necessary.” You say. “I would expect as such after a battle like that. Not that I’ve been in many battles.”
“I am Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi. You’ve already met Marshall Commander Cody.” He introduces them.
You tell him your name as he takes the seat across from you.
“Cody’s already told me his side of the story. I’m interested to hear yours.”
So you tell him. “I had just gotten home from my job at an art museum on Alderaan, and I was getting ready to settle down and read some of the new holonovel I’d picked up when all of a sudden I felt like I was being pulled through a tube and then I’m sitting in the middle of a battlefield.”
Master Kenobi stares at her for a few moments, stroking his beard. “That is very odd indeed. I do believe you. Though, unfortunately, with no way to verify your identity, we have to remain suspicious of you and your motivations.”
You understand, you really do. No doubt Separatist spies constantly tried to infiltrate the Republic. You were very far from a spy, however there was no way to prove that. Unless...
“Senator Organa.” You blurt out before he can stand. “Senator Organa knows me. He and his wife often attend charity galas at the museum. He can vouch for my identity.”
A small smile tugs at Master Kenobi’s lips. “Of course. I will get in contact with the Senator as soon as possible. Until then, I am afraid you will have to remain here.”
You nod. “I understand.”
He nods to the clone in the corner. “Nova will remain with you. If you need anything, he can get it for you.”
***
Obi-Wan and Cody make their way up to the bridge, Cody replaying the conversation in his mind. It’s very odd, this situation. He’d never heard of anyone teleporting before, much less straight into the middle of a battle from halfway across the galaxy.
“What do you think, sir?” Cody asks. “Do you believe her?”
“I do.” Obi-Wan says. “I cannot sense any danger in her presence here, though we cannot be too certain.”
“What do you think it means, her arrival? I’ve never heard of anything like this.”
Obi-Wan smiles. “I believe congratulations are in order, Commander. I think you’ve just met your soulmate.”
Cody stops walking, blinking in shock. His soulmate? She can’t really be...can she? He hadn’t put much thought into his soulmate, like most of his brothers. There were far bigger things to worry about, and considering they were forbidden from initiating their bonds, most of them tried to ignore the existence of soulmates.
Of course, he knows most refuse to follow the rules regarding their soulmates. Many clones have met and keep contact with their mates. Many, not just clones, view the rule as being just another way to dehumanize them.
So many don’t listen.
Cody hadn’t put much thought into what he’d do. It’s easy to pretend you can follow the rules when you’re not facing it yourself. He figured he’d deal with it when the time came. He’d hoped perhaps that time wouldn’t come, or the war would be over before it came. He didn’t think it would happen right in the middle of a battle.
He doesn’t think his General is wrong, either.
He can feel it, the stirring in his chest that he’d overheard his brothers whispering about. The tugging, begging him to go back and just be in the presence of this mysterious teleporting girl once more.
“Sorry, sir?” Cody asks, quickening his steps to catch up to the General once more.
“It’s a rare soulmate link, though I’ve heard of it happening twice now since the start of the war. One soulmate teleporting to the other’s location.”
Cody’s heart clenches in his chest. If the girl is telling the truth, if Senator Organa does verify her identity, then this must be the answer for her strange appearance. But why now? Why did she have to show up now?
Why couldn’t fate have waited for the war to be over?
***
You look up as the energy shield of your cell drops. The time feels like it’s gone by faster this time, possibly because it hasn’t been as long. It’s impossible to tell, without knowing the time.
Commander Cody enters your cell, his helmet tucked under his arm. He’s handsome, well, all the clones are handsome, you think. You take a better look at him now that you’re not so nervous. He wears his hair in regulation cut, and his face is clean shaven. He has a scar on the left side of his face, what looks like a crescent moon at his temple and a line trailing down his temple and across his cheekbone. You wonder how he got it, what had caused such a cruel looking injury.
“The General spoke with Senator Organa. He verified your identity and backed up your story.” Cody says.
You breathe a sigh of relief. You knew you had nothing to worry about, but yet you had still been nervous. What if they hadn’t been able to reach Senator Organa? What would have happened to her then?
“If you’ll follow me, we’ll get you somewhere more comfortable.”
You push yourself up from the table, your legs wobbling a bit. You feel unsteady from sitting for so long so soon after your extreme adrenaline rush. You grip onto the table, keeping yourself steady while your legs wake up.
“Are you alright?” Commander Cody asks.
“Yeah.” You laugh. “Just not used to teleporting, being on a battlefield mid battle, being interrogated, you know. Like everything that’s happened today.”
A smile tugs at the side of Cody’s mouth. “I guess that would be rather jarring. Well, where you’re going there’s a real bed.”
You nod. “Okay. I think I can manage to get there.” You let go of the table, forcing your legs to be steady. You turn to Nova, still dutifully standing in the corner. “Thank you for watching over me, Nova.”
He shifts slightly, almost like he wasn’t expecting it. “Y-You’re welcome, ma’am.”
You turn back to Cody, taking a couple test steps to make sure your legs will hold you. He’s got a smile on his face, a small one, but still a smile. You follow him from your cell, glad you’ll never have to see it again. You hadn’t been treated badly, but sitting at that table in the blank, windowless room for hours hadn’t exactly been the best experience of your life.
“We’re heading to a GAR resupply station. There will be a ship there that will drop you off back on Alderaan.” Cody says as you walk beside him, his pace slower than you really need.
“It will be nice to be back home again.” You say. “Not that you’ve been unwelcoming. It’s just...this life isn’t really for me. I prefer something slow and low-stress.”
“I don’t blame you.” He says. “This life is easy for us because we were designed to handle constant, high levels of stress. It’s...not for everyone though.”
“That’s for sure.” It falls silent for a few moments as you walk through the huge cruiser. “Did your Jedi General figure out why I teleported right to you?” You ask out of curiosity. You’d thought through every explanation you could think of and none of them made sense.
“He had an idea why.” Cody says, clearing his throat. “It’s...it’s complicated.”
“I mean, I did teleport halfway across the galaxy. If that has a simple answer, I’ll be floored.”
Cody glances around, slowing his pace even more. He speaks quietly, like he doesn’t want anyone to overhear. “He thinks it may be our soulmate link.”
Your steps slow to a stop, Cody pausing as well. You stare ahead of you in shock. You hadn’t thought of that possibility. You’d never heard of that being a link, but then again, you’d never looked much into soulmates. Like many, you simply knew you’d find them eventually. You had no distinguishing marks or any of the more common links that were obvious. You’d considered perhaps you didn’t have a soulmate at all, and though that thought made you a bit sad, you’d accepted it. If it was meant to happen, it would.
And apparently, it had.
“I...didn’t even know that was a possibility.” You say.
“Neither did I.” Cody says. “Apparently this is the third time it’s happened since the war started.”
“Well, that’s reassuring.” You say. “We’re not the only ones.” You stare at him for a moment, an unreadable expression on his face. “Why do I feel like there’s more?”
“Well, there is.” He says, and you begin walking once more. “Us clones, we’re not allowed to initiate our bonds. If we find our soulmate, we’re supposed to reject them like the Jedi.”
“Oh.” Your shoulders fall a bit. Of course it makes sense. They’re supposed to be loyal, unshakeable soldiers free of distractions. There’s nothing quite as distracting as a soulmate bond.
You feel a bit disappointed. You’ve just found your soulmate and now he’s telling you he has to reject you. You know how painful it is, how debilitating it can be to go through it. Most don’t come out the other side the same. How can you when you’ve just lost half your soul? Half of your very being?
“That’s...” You swallow the lump forming in your throat. “I-I understand...why...”
A gloved hand touches your face, sliding along your skin. You look up, that hand cupping your chin. You look up into those dark eyes, getting lost in the deep brown of them. They’re so soft as they stare at you, wide with emotion. You’d read once that eyes are the window to the soul. You can tell a lot about someone by their eyes.
“Luckily, most of us don’t agree with that rule.” He says quietly, like he’s afraid someone might walk by and hear. From what he’s saying, it could be dangerous if the wrong person walked by and heard. “It’s not fair to us or to our mates. Most of you have waited long enough.”
“Too long.” You whisper, swallowing the lump in your throat.
“I can’t promise a life, or a future. Any of us could die at any moment. But when the war ends, I will do everything I can to find you.”
***
Your time with the 212th is short. You spend a suspicious amount of time with Cody. For being a Marshall Commander, he certainly has a lot of free time. You meet many, many clones, and do your best to memorize each and every one of their names.
All too soon you’re landing at the GAR station, your time with them at its end. Cody escorts you off the cruiser, leading you through the bustling station to where the shuttle is waiting to take you back to Alderaan.
“I hope the war doesn’t bring us to Alderaan.” Cody says. “As much as I’d like to see you again.”
You smile. “I do hope to see you again soon, but preferably not on a battlefield again.”
Cody smiles down at you. “I’ll keep in contact as much as I can.”
“I’ll be waiting.” You say, looking up at him. Oh how you want to kiss him, but you know you can’t. “You know where to find me.”
Cody lets his fingers brush yours just for a moment. “I’ll never forget.”
You look back as you board the shuttle, your chest already aching. The thought of being apart at all is nearly unbearable, and you can’t even say how long it will be until you see him again.
If you see him again.
No. You refuse to think that way.
You will see him again.
***
The war is over.
It ended rather abruptly, and came with the restructuring of the Republic into the Galactic Empire. Nothing about it feels right to you, mostly because you haven’t heard from Cody since the war ended.
He had sent you a quick message before he left on a mission, and then the war had ended.
That had been a year ago.
You haven’t heard from him since.
You refuse to believe he’s dead. You would have known. Even without initiating your bond, you would have felt it. The pain of half of your soul fading away to nothing. The discomfort, the never-ceasing chill of half of you being gone. You haven’t felt that, which means Cody is alive somewhere.
It’s been a long year.
You’ve been going through the motions, checking every chance you can for a message, some sign from him, but you’ve heard nothing. It hurts, but you know he wouldn’t do that. Not without reason. You hope he’s safe, wherever he is. You hope he’s safe and healthy and whole.
You don’t want to lose him. You barely know him, but the thought of losing him is driving you insane. Your thoughts have slowly been taken over by Cody. You know it’s the bond, the deep yearning to see him and be close to him again. You’re meant to be together, not a galaxy apart with no contact.
You worry you may go insane if you have to keep on without him.
Luckily for you, that doesn’t happen.
It’s your day off and you had planned to spend it sitting on your couch relaxing. Your comm is sitting on the table, waiting for any sign from Cody that he’s alright. You’d give anything just to hear his voice again. You’d sell an organ to see him again.
A knock on your door pulls you away from your thoughts. You’re not expecting anyone, but random visitors aren’t that unheard of. A neighbor or a coworker stopping by. You’re not really in the mood for company, but maybe that’s just what you need.
Except you’re not expecting who’s behind the door.
Your stomach twists painfully, your heart thudding in your chest. Your mouth drops open, the air in your lungs whooshing out in a gasp.
He looks good. Or, at least, he looks uninjured. You know it’s him. Even without the scar, you would have known. He’s not in his armor, dressed down into civilian clothes instead. You want to yell at him, you want to slap him. How dare he leave you for a year without so much as a message. But as you look into his eyes, that idea melts from your mind. There’s dark circles under his eyes. He looks tired. His eyes are shining in the lights of your hallway and there’s a sadness to them, no, a guilty look to them.
“Mesh’la.” He breathes, and you’re moving before you even realize it, practically throwing yourself into his arms.
He wraps his arms around you tightly, almost painfully. You don’t care, relief flooding through you. All the horrible thoughts that had plagued you, all the anger and the fear and the anxiety melting away simply by being in his presence once more.
He backs you into your apartment, the door sliding closed. He doesn’t loosen his hold on you, keeping you close to his chest. “I’m sorry.” He breathes, his breath fanning your ear. “I’m so kriffing sorry.”
“Why?” You ask, your voice thick with tears. You’re not sure when they started, but they’re slowly soaking his shirt. “It’s been a year, Cody. A year since I’ve heard from you. The war ended and then...nothing.”
“I know.” He pulls back slightly, looking down at your face. “I’ll tell you everything, just let me hold you for a moment.”
And so you do. You stand there for the better part of an hour, just holding each other. Time and time again your hands run along his back, cheek pressing into his shoulder just to make sure he’s really here.
Once you manage to separate yourselves, you move to the couch. He tells you everything, about the war ending, Order 66, the inhibitor chips, losing control of his mind, waking up after Kashyyk, the horrible things they’d been forced to do, deserting the Empire. He had wanted to contact you as soon as he left, but he knew it was too risky. He’d found Captain Rex who’d helped him, hiding him and once it was safe, getting him here to you.
“Oh, Cody.” You say, tracing your fingers along his scar. It’s the first time you’ve touched him, really touched him. He’s so warm, the press of your skin against his sending little sparks through your body. “I’m so sorry.” You draw him in, his face pressing against your neck as you hold him.
“Why did it have to happen this way?” He asks, wrapping his arms around your waist.
“We can’t change the past.” You say, running your fingers through his short curls. “We can only keep moving forward from here.”
He breaths a long sigh out, relaxing completely into you. He’s heavy, your body slowly falling back onto the couch. He follows, his lips brushing against the skin of your neck.
“I’m ready to live your boring life.” He murmurs.
You can’t help but laugh at that. He had once remarked that your life was boring when you’d told him you intended to spend your time off at home reading. You knew he had meant it lightly, and he wasn’t wrong. Compared to his life at the time, yours was very boring.
“Don’t let me go.” He says quietly, pressing a kiss to the side of your neck.
A smile tugs at your lips as your back hits the cushions, Cody shifting slightly so he’s not crushing you under his weight. “You have a year to make up for, Cody. And I have some vacation time I’ve been meaning to use.”
“Good.” He says, dragging his lips up your throat. “I don’t intend on letting you leave this couch for a while.”
You pout a bit as he kisses the corner of your mouth. “The bed is more comfortable.”
“We’ll get there eventually.” He murmurs before pressing his lips to yours.
You sigh against his lips, wrapping your arms around his neck. The swirling chaos that had been driving you crazy for the last year is beginning to settle now that he’s here, in your arms, pressed against you. Most soulmates don’t last more than a few days once they meet. It’s been over a year since you met him and you hadn’t so much as touched him.
“Cody,” You sigh against his lips, his body pressing closer to yours. You can feel him, hard against your thigh. “I need you.”
“I’m right here.” He says, pulling away from your lips. He cups your face, calloused thumbs stroking your cheeks.
You smile, reaching up to cup his cheeks. He really is real. He’s really right here. “You are.”
He makes quick work of your clothes, dragging his fingers along your exposed skin. Every touch is like lightning, your body thrumming with energy. It reminds you of when you’d met, appearing on that battlefield, the adrenaline pumping through you. He had to have known, deep down. He’d saved your life without thought, keeping you safe until the battle was over.
He’d saved you, stayed with you until he couldn’t. Now it’s your turn.
Your fingers trail along his back, feeling every ridge of muscle, every raised scar. You want to kiss them all, but that’s for a later time. His teeth sink gently into the side of your breast, making you gasp. You’re already wet, probably leaving a wet spot on your couch.
You’ll have it cleaned later.
“Please, Cody.” You breathe, pressing your hips up against his. “It’s been too long.”
“I know, mesh’la.” He says, kissing your sternum. “I’m so sorry.”
You sink your fingers into his hair, drawing his lips to yours. “Don’t apologize with your words.”
He smirks against your lips, shifting his hips slightly. “Yes, ma’am.”
A shiver runs down your spine. You have the former Marshal Commander of the Grand Army of the Republic naked on your couch, and he had just called you ma’am. You feel a bit powerful, so unlike how you normally feel.
You’ll have to explore that later.
You slip a hand between your bodies, lining him up. He presses into you slowly, taking his time. The stretch burns, and you regret not prepping a little, but he’s slow, easing your tension with gentle kisses and the touch of his hands.
He pauses once he’s seated inside you, giving you a moment. You’re overwhelmed with feeling, the bond between you two strengthening. You can practically feel the link, the cords tying you together multiplying and strengthening into something unbreakable.
His lips press against yours, his hands taking yours, lacing your fingers together. You’re connected in every possible way.
He begins to move, dragging his hips slowly against yours. You moan against his lips, squeezing his hands. He feels so good, you feel so good pressed up against him. It’s been a long year waiting for him, and this very moment has made up for most of it.
You moan his name as he thrusts into you, fingers gripping his. He moans in your ear, whispering to you, speaking near nonsense as you lose yourselves in each other.
You cum, clinging to him so tightly you’re worried you might bruise him. He offers no complaints, his body going lax over yours as he cums, emptying into you. You both stay there, uncaring of your sweaty skin or the fluids leaking between your legs. You’re both breathing heavily, holding onto each other like you might disappear if you let go.
He goes to pull away after a few moments, but you wrap your arms around him tighter, keeping him still.
“Stay?” You whisper, just needing to feel him.
He smiles, pressing a gentle kiss to your lips. “I’m not going anywhere.”
(P.S. Don’t worry, they do eventually move from Alderaan to some small farming planet where they live happily ever after.)

Just Cody
Cody x GN reader
Word count: 1017
Warnings: NSFW, minors DNI, praise, softer dom/sub dynamics, dom!reader, PiA or pegging, unprotected sex
A/N: established relationship, they’ve done this before
Cody was home and you didn’t waste any time.  Your kisses were a little aggressive, but you both smiled the whole time.  He pulled his shirt off and started tugging at yours.
“You know what I need,” he asked, clinging to you.
“What?” You grinned, knowing you were both about to get lucky.
“To just be Cody,” he replied seriously, looking into your eyes. “I need you to take care of me.”
This wasn’t just getting lucky.  This was Cody trusting you in a way he trusted no one else.  The marshall commander was set aside and he could show another part of himself with you.  Sometimes being himself meant giving up control.
After reviewing ground rules, he spent plenty of time in the refresher and opened the bedroom door wearing nothing except a towel around his waist. You were already standing next to the bed completely naked.
“Take off the towel, Cody. Get on the bed.”
He complied, his heart in his throat as his breath was already shortened.  He had nerves in the best way.  You got on the bed, kneeling over him, your kisses demanding.  Your hands roamed over him and your body already felt like it was on fire. He asked permission to touch you, giving you both goosebumps.
“Yes,” you said in something of a growl before kissing his forehead tenderly.
His calloused yet loving hands caressed your body, touching you in exactly the way he knew would make you feel good as you spent time making sure he was well lubricated and inviting.  His hot breath sent chills down your spine and he made sure you knew how much he wanted you to take him.
When you were both sure he was ready, you stood next to the bed and could feel the excitement reverberating off him.
Your instruction was simple.  “Edge of the bed, on your knees for me. Don’t touch yourself.”
Cody did as he was told, ass in the air over the edge of the bed, waiting for you.  There was such a thrill in the way he exposed himself to you and trusted you completely.  You took your time, bending over his body and kissing him between his shoulder blades and all the way down the middle of his back.  You felt him sigh and smiled.  You entered him slowly, wanting to take your time, and held on to his hips. You kneaded the flesh and started to move.
“How fast should I go,” you asked with a grin he couldn’t see.
“As fast as you want,” he replied, face resting on a pillow.
“Good boy.”
You picked up the pace, knowing exactly how much to push and what his limits were.  You felt your heart skip a beat and tried to control your breathing.  It felt amazing and hearing his little moans made your heart race faster.  You couldn’t stop yourself from squeezing his thighs as you thrust your hips.  Everything about this experience with him was intoxicating.
“Please,” Cody begged quietly between gasps of air. “Please, can I see you?”  His question was filled with love. A desire to see you and be seen.  You couldn’t deny him and briefly left his body.
Your instructions were a touch softer this time.  “On your back and don’t touch yourself.”
Cody did as he was told, lying on his back, knees apart, gripping the sheets as you entered him again.  He let out another sigh and got lost staring at you. His dark brown eyes communicated his need and pure desire for you.  You kissed him and decided to tease him, running your hands up his hips and chest, feeling him melt and writhe underneath you, but denying him the touch you knew he wanted.  He let out a soft whimper.
“Not yet,” you said as you started that delicious movement again.  You repeated your earlier question with a playful grin.  “How fast should I go?”
“As fast as you want,” he said, need building.
“Good,” you replied as you picked up the pace.
You both seemed to lose track of time, too busy moaning and trying to remember to breathe.  You were absolutely in love with this man.  This man who was giving all of himself to you, completely trusting you.  You could tell he was trying his hardest to avoid touching himself, gripping the sheets even as his arms and legs shook.  You bent down, continuing to move, but a little more gentle.  You ran your hand through his hair and kissed him once before sitting up again.  You knew you weren’t going to last much longer and neither was he.
“You can touch yourself now,” you said.  “You’ve done such a good job for me.”
Cody hooked his legs around your hips and fondled his balls.  He looked so incredibly sexy and you felt like you could cry over how much you loved him.  The anticipation had been overwhelming and your name came across his lips in a breathy scream as he came on his own chest.
Your own high was right behind his.  You couldn’t help but call out his name in a tone that conveyed your own need.  Any dominance on your part was gone.  You looked at him and felt emotion caught in your throat.  Like his love and your love for him were the only things that mattered.
As you both glowed in the aftermath, you laid down next to him and rubbed your thumb on his cheek.  His eyes searched yours.  Despite the act itself being over, he still felt incredibly vulnerable.  You slowly kissed him and whispered how much you loved him.  Cody glowed like sunshine and soaked up the reassurance.  His smile communicated everything and he reached up to cup your face.
“I love you too,” he said between soft kisses.
You took your time cleaning up and helping him feel comfortable and safe.  He sighed as you pulled him back into your arms.  He loved when you held him close.  You kissed him along his shoulder and up his neck before whispering another “I love you.”

Your last letter series makes me want to rip my heart out and stomp on it cause it would hurt less. As someone who almost exclusively reads angst, this is the highest praise I can give. Any chance I could request Cody for the last letter?
So sorry for the delay! I'm very far behind on requests and it's totally all my fault 😂. But anyway, here it is! I went a little different direction with this one than my usual letters. Hope you enjoy it! ❤️

Forgive Me, My Love
Tumblr media
Warnings: General angst? Relationship problems.
--------------------------------------------------
How could he say that!? How could he just end things like that? You had thought things between you and the Marshal Commander were going so well. Maybe the "I love you" had been too rushed. He'd seemed almost terrified when the words fell from your lips. Now here you were shocked to the core.
"I think we should stop seeing each other."
The words rang numbly in your ears. And now he was gone. Deployed early this morning. Gone without even a goodbye.
The doorbell to your small Coruscant apartment chimed loudly pulling you from your misery. Wiping a hand down your tearstained face, you shuffled to the door and opened it. A clone in white shiny armor stood stiffly at attention and handed you an envelope. "I'm supposed to deliver this here, ma'am."
Giving the clone a confused look, you slowly took the letter from his outstretched hand. "Thanks."
The clone nodded and left. Shutting the door, you slowly sat back down onto the couch and opened the letter.
It was from Cody.
Ni Cyare,
I couldn't leave without saying anything so I'm writing to say that I owe you an apology. I am so sorry for pushing you away. It was never my intention to hurt you like this. I love you and I always have. I hope it's not too late for us. I hope that somehow you can forgive me.
I thought that I was protecting you by putting some distance between us. I am a clone, cyare - a disposable soldier. When we go out on a mission, we don't always come back. You don't deserve to bear that burden. I don't want to see you hurt because of me. I told you that this relationship between the two of us would only serve to distract me from my work. I was wrong. You are my motivation, cyar'ika. You are what I want to come home to and it's you who I want to spend the rest of my life with no matter how short it may be. I love you.
I still don't know what I've done to deserve someone like you; someone who will wait for me when I'm away and love me unconditionally. You love me on both my good days and my bad ones, and Maker knows, I've had so many bad ones.
I've lost so many brothers, cyare - so many friends. You are my rock. But if it comes down to it, cyare, I want you to move on. If I fall in battle I want you to have someone to turn to. I want you to know that it's okay.
I guess that's also another reason I'm writing. If something were to happen to me, if I don't come home from this mission, I want you to know that you've made me the happiest clone in the whole GAR.
Never change, cyar'ika.
Love,
Cody

Ice Skating With the 212th
Hello everyone!
I recently went ice skating and got the inspo to write this. I originally wrote this for my sister, who loves her mans, Commander Cody. I made the nickname "Mir'ika" from the word 'mirdala' which means clever, or intelligent. This is my first Star Wars fic ever! I hope you enjoy <3
Pairing: Commander Cody x medic!reader
Summary: You are the medic for the 212th, and you go ice skating with them while on leave
Tags: fluff!!
Word Count: 2.2k
Tumblr media
You watched as the members of the 212th battalion went around and around on the ice. Some of them were more confident than others- even the General and Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi was gliding gracefully across the ice. He was mesmerizing to watch; it was almost as if he had wings. You'd thought he must have done this a million times before, but then again, you figured he had plenty of help through the use of the Force.
You had your skates on, but as the battalion's medic, you felt it a duty to make sure nobody got injured, even if ice skating was a million times less deadly than an actual battle. You had skated a couple of rounds with the men but you felt like you'd be able to keep a better watch from the sidelines.
You couldn't help but worry about them. You had grown very close to the clones over the course of the war. You were conflicted with your own inner feelings about it though. You knew there were those who were apathetic towards the war, and those who thought of the clones with disgust- or as less than human. But you had seen them in action and gotten to know them as individuals. Each one had their own name and personality and they cared so much for each other. They were loyal to the Republic, almost to a fault. You struggled with the knowledge that the clones were basically slaves to a Republic that condemned slavery, but the clones themselves either didn't realize this or didn't let it bother them. They were bred for war, but you knew they deserved so much better. You kept a stiff upper lip when treating their wounds, but internally your anxiety skyrocketed whenever someone got hurt.
You smiled and waved as Waxer and Boil skated by, the former helping the latter keep his footing. You shook your head with a laugh as Boil lost his footing again. You could tell he was just fine by the way he was laughing his ass off while sitting on the ice. Longshot skated by, giving you a double thumbs up as he swerved around the two.
"Doing okay, Wooley?" You asked, as he made his way around the rink. He was clinging to the edge and you could see his legs wobbling as if he might slip any second.
"Ha, well mir'ika, it beats getting shot at, that's for sure," he huffs, as he makes his way in front of you. You give his glove a pat as he passes.
"You're doing great, keep at it!" You encourage him, "the ice has nothing on you!"
He looks back and gives you a big grin, though he stumbles a little as he does. You move to help him, but he reinforces his grip, assuring you that he's fine. You give him a thumbs up and look back over the ice. As you do, your breath catches when you see him.
Commander Cody.
He was halfway across the ice heading your way. His hat and mittens matched the bright orange of his battalion's colors. He was skating tall and fluidly. He skated the way he led his men: with complete coolness and confidence. You two made eye contact, and he gave you a small smile. You watched as he sped up a little, and then turned around and skated backwards for a moment. When he turned, his eyes immediately seeked yours, and he gave you a slightly bigger smile when he saw that you had still been watching him. He continued towards you as he did a small spin.
He stopped right in front of you.
"Having fun, mir'ika?" He asked, with a soft voice. He was hanging onto the railing, almost as if he was going to slip. All of his former confidence on the ice seemed to have dissipated the closer he got to you. "Don't you want to skate a little more?"
You felt your face get a little warmer at his changed demeanor. He was so collected on the battlefield or when he was discussing strategy with General Kenobi. . . But he always seemed nervous around you. At first it worried you sick, and you were thankful you spent most of your time in the medbay surrounded by ailments to help calm your nerves. It was important to you that the commander you worked under trusted you with the health of his men. After a while, your nerves eased as more of the men warmed up to you, eventually becoming a treasured member of the group and even given a nickname by the clones. Commander Cody had always been respectful, and kind, but he always seemed unnerved in the medbay even when you tried your utmost to assuage his tenseness. His pulse was usually unusually higher than normal, but you figured that leading an entire battalion of your brothers in the middle of a war would warrant a high blood pressure and pulse.
"I wanted to make sure nobody got seriously hurt," you replied, "I feel like I can see better from out here. If I'm doing rounds, I might miss someone falling."
Cody felt his heartbeat pick up. You were extremely diligent and dedicated to improving the lives of his brothers. He couldn't help but feel warm at your admission- this was supposed to be a team building experience...but his vod knew what it actually was: they were on leave and they deserved to have a good time. And that included you.
Cody cleared his throat a little before speaking.
"Everyone's having a lot of fun, and they're all okay. These are some of the finest men in the Grand Army of the Republic, mir'ika, they can handle a little slip."
He was looking down at his skates, sliding them back and forth as he stood there. At first, a jolt of panic shot through you. Was the commander condemning you for being too serious on what you knew was supposed to be finally a fun shore leave? Maker knew the clones deserved it. But after a second of thought, you softened at the clone in front of you. You thought you might as well have some fun while it lasted.
"Are you suggesting I abandon my duties, commander?"
Cody's head snapped up at your question. His grip tightened on the railing, and he opened his mouth to answer before shutting it again.
You couldn't help but give a laugh. "Or are you offering to skate with me for a while?"
He cleared his throat and nodded his head. He could feel the heat in his cheeks and wondered if you could feel it radiating off of him in waves.
"I- I think it would be good for the men to see you participate. They... want you to have a good time. We all do."
You smiled at Cody and made your way onto the ice. You skated up to him, and he almost looked a little panic-stricken but held out his arm regardless. You smiled and took it and the both of you took off.
You glided with ease next to Cody, who seemed to have forgotten all his previous vigor. You went along wondering if you were actually the one stabilizing him.
Trapper sped up and passed the both of you, doing a small spin as he did. He got close enough to Cody to make him stumble a bit. He huffed and looked down at you. You raised an eyebrow and nodded your head once towards Trapper in response. Cody got the message- he smiled at you and you let go of his arm. He sped off to catch up to Trapper, doing a circle around him. You laughed at Trapper's surprise, and Cody gave you a bright smile. He set off again and did a few more twirls, each one a little faster and more impressive than the last. Each time, he looked to you almost as if for approval.
If he was being honest with himself, it pleased him to see you so happy and carefree. More often than not, you had the steely look of determination on your face when you were tending to the injured, though Cody could tell that underneath that cool, hard and serious exterior lay worries and doubts. He could tell because he often did the same thing. Leading men into battle and seeing his brothers die was enough to break anybody down, but Cody knew his vod looked up to him for a sense of security and control.
But shore leave was different. This was a time for the clones to have fun, destress, and in some cases, go wild, though Cody strongly discouraged that. One too many calls about shinies causing a ruckus from Fox had gotten Cody to learn his lesson and steer his men from doing anything too crazy. But here on the ice, with all his vod padded and cozied up, Cody didn't see any harm in a few bumps and bruises. His vod were pretty tough; they were bred to be so.
Cody skated back towards you, smiling as he did so. His cheeks and nose were dusted with a reddish hue against his deep golden skin. He made it up to you, and you could see hesitation in his hands. You smiled, and grabbed one and held it as you skated forward.
"That was very impressive, Commander," you smiled up at him, "is there anything you're not good at?"
At this, Cody's hand gripped yours tighter. He looked down at you, and you could see part of his scar peeking from under his hat. His eyes were bright and he looked more flustered than anything. You smiled brightly at him, and gave his hand a squeeze back.
You broke eye contact just in time to see Waxer and Boil, who were making their wobbly way across the ice, right in front of you both. You gripped Cody's hand tight, and made a yelp as you both crashed into the pair of clones.
"Waxer! Boil! I'm so sorry, are you okay?" you asked, as you scrambled to get up and help bring them to their feet.
Both gave a booming laugh and smiled up at you. "We're fine, mir'ika, but the commander's not looking too hot."
Adrenaline immediately flooded your body as you looked to Cody, who was still sprawled out on the ice. He let out a low groan as he tried sitting up.
You got down on your knees to check him.
"Are you okay, Cody?" You asked, frantically looking over his body for any injuries. "Did you hurt anything? Can you stand?"
Cody managed to sit up, and looked at your face, which was full of worry and emotion and he was never more sure in his life that he was in love with you than at that moment. He grabbed one of your bare hands with his gloves- you had ripped them off when you knelt next to him- and you gave him a puzzled look. He could feel his heartbeat in his ears, and wondered if you could hear it too.
"Mir'ika," he said in a thick voice, "I'm okay. I...think I better join you on the sidelines for a while though, if that's okay." He didn't want to admit it, but his tailbone hurt quite a bit. He took a hard fall on his ass when you two had been distracted and knocked into Waxer and Boil.
You noticed Cody wince as you helped him up. You both made your way slowly to the entrance of the rink, and you sat Cody down on one of the benches that lined the rink.
"Are you sure you're okay?" You asked, trying to give him a stern look but faltering.
He gave you another smile, reassuring you that he just needed a break. You nodded, and told him to wait there for you to get back. He watched you leave, cursing himself for causing you to worry. You headed off to find him a blanket. Once retrieved, you brought that and two hot chocolates back to Cody, who had remained in his seat just as you instructed.
He smiled as you wrapped the blanket around his shoulders, and thanked you for the hot chocolate. You stood there contemplating him for a moment before speaking.
"You know you don't have to get injured just to see me, right?"
Cody choked on his hot chocolate at your comment, and you couldn't help but laugh.
"I'm sorry Cody," you said smiling and sincerely, "it's my fault you got hurt. I wasn't paying attention."
He was quick to counter you, blaming himself for being distracted. His cheeks were flooded with a dark red color, and you warmed at the sight. You sat down next to him, taking one edge of the blanket and putting it over your own shoulder. You were sat thigh to thigh with the clone. You looked up at him and smiled. You could tell he was tense.
"You know, it's a medical secret, but I think I might have the perfect ailment for you."
Cody furrowed his brows and looked at you quizzically. You giggled again and breached the space between you two. Your lips met his and he went rigid against you, until softening and melting into the kiss. He finally broke the kiss to come up for air, and rested his forehead against your own. Cody closed his eyes and willed his heartbeat to slow down lest it beat right out of his chest.
"Thank you, mir'ika, I think that did just the trick. I feel much better now."

Commander Cody thots would make a great addition to my collection 😈
I have a 42-page document of SFW and NSFW headcanons…if you’re interested I can drop the link 😏
Send me a character and I’ll do some quick asks and thots for them. 😈
I fucking LOVE Commander Cody🥰😩 YOU ABSOLUTELY SHOULD DROP THAT DOC.
So I think some sexting over holocomm would be something he’d be all over.
Just imagine he’s finally planet side. He’s done with his mission and his debriefs. He’s free to take leave for at least a little while. And his first thought? You. So he’s sending you a quick comm…you’re not working at this hour. Surely you won’t be too busy….not for him.
How’s my favorite girl? He sends, knowing just hearing from him will bring you enough relief to help you sleep tonight. Hopefully, if he was lucky, he could do more than just help you sleep tonight.
Better, baby, so much better now. You reply right away and he can practically feel his pulse racing to his center already. He can see you in his mind, the way he always imagines you: sleeping in the shirt he wears when he’s at your place, your pretty wide smile and big doe eyes pleading up at him for…well exactly what he has in his plans for tonight.
I’m on my way over right now, pretty girl. Can you get nice and ready for me? Fuck I need you. He replied, throwing the credits he’d managed to collect into the hover cab driver’s jar and watching the levels of Coruscant fade away behind him.
Oh I bet you do. You’ve gone a long time without me. Must be so eager, Commander. He let out a weighted sigh, the pent up sexual tension driving him crazy.
Teasing already, hmm? You know what you’re in for if you keep talking like that. He bit down on his bottom lip, bouncing his knee to distract himself. Only a few clicks east of your apartment. He could make it.
Only a little fun punishment. What do you have in mind, Cody? Fuck, even just reading his name coming from you makes heat trickle down his spine. He should be grumpy you called him by his name, instead of the title you’d agreed upon. But who could be mad at all when he was just happy to be home and alive to hear you call him anything at all? You just knew how to get under his skin and he loved it.
You’re lucky I’m so pent up. Won’t have much time to tease you like I should. But darling, I want you naked on your bed and on all fours by the time I get there. Just the thought of you there waiting for him was the last straw. He felt his cock twitch against his codpiece, covering it from the drivers view with his helmet.
Oh is that all? And what if I don’t? He could practically see your smirk from here, your apartment building finally in view.
If you don’t…well let’s just say I’ll make you feel as frustrated as I’ve been these last few weeks. And I’ll fuck you until you’re sore. The taxi stopped and hurled something in Aqualish at him as he left to practically run up the stairs.
Ok, Commander. I’ll do whatever you say. But promise me you’ll follow through with that last part?
And as Cody walked through your front door and left his armor in a trail to your bedroom, he more than followed through on that promise.

starlight ──────────────────────
commander cody x reader
Tumblr media
summary | cody can't help to wander from time to time, thinking about perfect times and everything he could've had done differently.
warnings | fem!reader, jedi!reader (third person), vague mentions of death and injuries
word count | 853
note | i started writing this after the solitary clone, what cody said really make something to me, so this is more like a thought about him and a sad thing i made up
────────────────────────────────
For the first time in what feels like forever, he’s alone. Maybe it’s an exaggeration, maybe he's right to think it could be forever, not that his life has been that long at that point, but it feels like it.
He can't think of a single moment in his life when there wasn't someone by his side, someone he could go to when he needed to; he didn't do that too much anyway, he always tried to keep his problems to himself, but still. He didn't used to think about any of that, but now his chest quivers at the realization. He is alone.
He can't look away. An image so familiar yet so strange at the same time, the stars glowing at the distance, creating patterns that surround the ship that’s floating in the middle of nowhere, but even that’s better than the place he just left. He shifts on his seat, was it right to think about it that way? He starts to wonder if he made the right choice and, even if he didn't, there’s no turning back now anyway. There would be questions and he doesn't have answers, not even for himself.
The empty black space stares right at him in response, what is it seeing? Is it staring at the clouds in his head? like everyone looks at them in the sky when they say that a storm is coming. Maybe it’s trying to figure him out, but there’s no way to know it, maybe it’s waiting, for what? He doesn’t know, but he likes to think that something better is gonna happen, even when he doesn't deserve it, not after everything he’s done.
It’s in times like this that the silence starts to feel uncomfortable, like one of those parasites he’d heard about, the ones that get in your head and start messing with everything that’s there. He enjoyed the silence once, but in that time there was always someone with him, helping him fill the gaps with their presence and he could get lost in the beauty of a quiet room, away from the horrific sounds of everything that was always happening around him.
A time ago he wanted to get rid of the noise, now he needs it, because the silence just gets louder and louder and it reminds him of her. It’s not that he doesn’t like to remember her, but with her memory comes things that he would rather erase from his head.
Everything reminds him of her these days and sometimes he just wants to forget, but how could he? When he swears he can hear her calling his name in every silent place, when the warmth of the sunlight feels like her fingertips brushing against his cheek with that softness only she posses and when the stars that now stare at him look exactly like the shine of her eyes when they meet his. How can he forget when every single thing in existence reminds him of her?
He stops looking outside, his eyes clinging to the empty seat at his left, imagining that if he stares at it enough time she's gonna appear, giving him one of her sweet smiles and assuring him that everything's gonna be fine; maybe that’s what he needs now, his name falling from her lips one more time, in a different way that the last time it did, less worried, less afraid.
His forehead gets against the panel in front of him, the cold material making chills run down his spine and, with eyes closed and that awful feeling crawling to his chest, he thinks about her one more time; maybe in a comforting way, maybe he's just blaming himself again, for everything. That pops another question to his head and with that, another memory.
Would it be a little masochistic of him to think about her purposefully? He never saw himself that way but couldn’t help but wonder if he really was like it, just like she said once.
He was back after a mission where everything went wrong and, as always, who was going to carry the blame? Him. No one said anything about it, it was more like a joint defeat for everyone else, but he couldn’t stop thinking that maybe if he had done something different there wouldn’t be any casualties.
"You have to stop beating yourself up" were her words in that tone she used when she was worried, her voice always seemed to soften when she talked to him, he never said anything about it, enjoying the privilege of seeing a less cold side of her "I'm starting to think you enjoy it" she said, caressing his arm, fingertips brushing over the patch on his most recent injury.
He didn’t answer at the moment, melting into her touch and the peace her presence brought him, but he’d like to tell her how wrong she was. He didn’t enjoy the pressure he was in, but he needed to get through it, he needed to keep his image and so was she, they just had instants when they could let go, instants when nothing but them mattered and they could simply enjoy. Now those instants were gone and so was she and it was, ultimately, his fault.

FIVES POV
“Fives please tell me you didn’t” Tala’s holo image just shook her head at me, while her thumb and forefinger pinched her nose.
“Hey, how was I suppose to know Jaz’s contact was someone related to the Queen and Senator.”
“Okay, fine. Even if you didn’t know, did the first thing out of your mouth have to be a cheesy pick up line?”
“Is it my fault, when I see a pretty lady I can’t hold back?”
“You’re hopeless you know that?”
“Why are you surprised, you and Echo know me better than anyone”
“True. Okay” she let out a long sigh, “start from the beginning, in order to completely appreciate this entire situation I need to be able to picture this in my head” she motioned with her hands beside her head.
I couldn’t help chuckle at my vod’ika, “You just enjoy it when I spill the tea.”
“Like you don’t”
“That’s neither here nor there, do you want me to tell you what happened or not?”
“Fine, fine, I’ll sit here quietly and then tell Echo all about it later”
“Where is Echo?”
“Checking on some things”
“Meaning?”
“Checking on some things”
“Fine, keep your secrets”
“Are you ever going to tell me what happened?”
“Fine, and here I thought I was having a lovely conversation with my sister.”
“Gods, you’re annoying”
“Love you too, alright so we arrived on Alderaan..
The Epistemology landed without any issues in the remote hangar of Lady Cora’s large estate, guards stationed at the hangar were quick to stand ready as the woman in question appeared before us, followed by her attendants.
“Lady Cora” Jaz bowed towards the woman whose beauty was immeasurable, no matter how hard I tried I couldn’t pull my eyes away from her, I found myself at a loss for words as I stood on the ramp of the Epistemology, “Allow me to introduce my husband, Tech, and his family, Wolffe and Fives” she turned motioning to each one of us.
“What happened to introducing me as your archivist assistant?” Tech whispered.
“You’re that too” she winked back.
“Your husband?” Lady Cora looked from Jaz to the man she barely knew, once the apparent shock wore off, a smile graced her lips as she stretched out her hand towards Tech, “It’s a pleasure to meet you Tech, I have no doubt you’ll treat my dear friend, Jaz, with every ounce of respect and admiration she deserves. She is always putting herself on the line for others, she deserves someone who is willing to do the same”
“I agree completely, Lady Cora” Tech nodded towards her, appreciating that his riduur had someone so fiercely protective of her, “You have my word. I will make sure she is treated with the utmost dignity she has earned and deserves.”
“I have a good feeling about you Tech, and please you can all stop with the Lady Cora nonsense, just Cora is fine. Hopefully, you will listen to my suggestion, as Jaz refuses to call me anything but Lady Cora.”
Before I even realized it, my feet took over moving me from standing on the ramp beside Wolffe, till I was kneeling before her, taking her hand in mine, “My Lady, my name is Fives, as you can see I’m new in town, could you please provide me with the directions to your heart?”
An expression of pure shock graced her face, either she never had someone approach her so boldly it left her speechless or she really thought I was an idiot, I couldn’t tell by her expression alone. It took her a minute for my words to sink in and for her to understand what had been uttered. Just as her expression began to soften, heavy footsteps came up behind, I glanced over to see Wolffe reach out, his hand roughly grabing me by the collar and dragging me all the way back to the rest of the group, “Cora, I apologize for him. He’s an idiot” Wolffe mumbled.
Cora chuckled as she looked at the two of us, “Thank you … Wolffe, right?”
“Yes, ma’am”
“Well thank you, Wolffe. Fives, I’m not sure about the directions, but you seem capable enough to find your way easily enough if that is your desire. Now,” she cleared her throat as she looked to her friend, “why don’t you all follow me, and we’ll get you set up for the evening. Tomorrow we can meet for dinner and discuss the plans we have for the fair.”
“Thank you Lady Cora for your generous hospitality” Jaz bowed, and we all followed her example bowing in turn.
She smiled at all of us, smirking as she shook her head, she turned heading back towards the structure, “My Lady” her head guard leaned in and lowered his voice, “can we really trust them? They’re …”
“I trust Jaz. She trusts them. Make sure no one speaks about this.”
“Of course, my Lady”
“You really needed Wolffe to pull you back? Did you stop to think that maybe, just maybe it wasn’t a good idea to - oh, I don’t know - not tick off the person who has armed guards around her?”
“For your information, I did not piss her off.”
“Meaning?”
“Well …
Jaz sat with Tech on the balcony of their room taking in the view of Alderaan, “I thought we agreed not to tell her I was your husband” Tech’s hand squeezed her waist as he pulled her in closer.
“I know, I’m sorry; but she’s my oldest friend, and I just …” Jaz turned to look at Tech, “I just couldn’t help myself, I wanted to tell someone you were my husband. I’m sorry.”
“You should be” Wolffe’s voice echoed over to where they were seated as we leaned on the door to the balcony.
“Wolffe, what are you doing?” I propped my arm on his shoulder, as I leaned out the door, trying to pull him back, “Let’s give them some privacy”
“She knows” his answer was straight to the point and his tone indicated he was on alert, “didn’t you hear what she told the guard? She clearly knows we’re clones”
“In fairness Wolffe, anyone who even remotely observed both you and Fives, would’ve come to the same conclusion” Tech clarified, “that has nothing to do with Jaz stating that I’m her husband. Rather, Lady Cora’s experience with clones”
“Also let us not forget, I trust her with my life and yours. Have you noticed there are no stormtroopers on her grounds?” We all watched Wolffe’s face, the anger present was evident and lasting longer than necessary, “I have known Lady Cora Organa for years, Wolffe. She has been there for me more times than I can count. Do you really believe I would have agreed to bring anyone I deeply cared about here, if I didn’t trust her? Wolffe, please do not stress yourself out. I’m not asking you to trust her, I’m asking you to trust me, I know it will take some time for you to feel comfortable with her. I simply ask that you keep an open mind when it comes to her.”
“It’s not her that concerns me, it’s those that work for her, you can’t trust them.”
“Wolffe” I put my hand on the man’s shoulder, squeezing it, hoping to get him to calm down a little, “let’s just wait and see what happens okay. She doesn’t seem that bad, she seems like she has command over her people.”
Wolffe glare shifted from Jaz and Tech towards me, shifting his shoulder causing my hand to drop off his shoulder, “I’m not asking the opinion of your brain that clearly lies south of your navel. I’m stating a fact” he turned to look at Jaz, “people changed since the Empire came into power, you can’t trust anyone, simply because they’ve helped you in the past.”
“Wolffe” Tech stood from his seat, his hand staying on his riduur, “you need to breathe vod, just because people have betrayed you…”
“I betrayed people! I’m not talking about others, I’m talking about me!”
Silence landed amongst us, it was heavy, stifling almost. Wolffe looked weighed down, all the progress he made since being on Armandine, seemed to have vanished in that split second. In some way or form we all wished we could have refuted his statement, “That wasn’t your fault, vod” I offered the only consolation I could, “that was the chip, the old prune as Oly likes to call him, and the Empire’s. Not yours.”
“Wolffe, don’t let your fear negate the progress you made”
“Let’s just all agree to be vigilant. I know I can trust Lady Cora, and I understand your apprehension, Wolffe. However, you know me, trust me. Okay?” Jaz offered as she stood walking over to Wolffe, and resting her hand on his chest. “You’re my brother, Wolffe. I won’t let anything happen to you, let’s all be wary of those who are in her circles, agreed?”
We all nodded as Wolffe held on to Jaz’s hand, his mouth moved to say something, however his response was cut short as a chime came from the door to our unit.
“I’ll get it” I offered, despite the fact Wolffe was getting better, there were still moments he suffered. I may not have gone through the same thing as him, but I definitely understood the feeling of not being able to fully move on.
“Poor Wolffe, that must have been tough, but he does have a point. What happened, next?”
“Well Lady Cora invited us for supper, rich people certainly eat differently than us regular folk”
Tala chuckled, “What do you mean?”
Wolffe and I sat at the table, glancing at each other before looking at all the different utensils on the table, “Why are there so many forks?” I asked in bated breath.
“To give you different options to kill yourself with” Wolffe offered matching my tone of voice, his annoyance seeping through.
“I always have trouble knowing which utensils to use as well” Cora stated to the two of us, not surprising seeing as we were the ones who looked the most lost at the table, “good rule of thumb start from the outside and work your way in.”
“Oh good lord! Fives we went over place settings and which fork to use, ages ago.”
“It’s one thing to talk about it, it’s another to see it. It was overwhelming.”
“I don’t know who I feel more sorry for, Wolffe, you or Lady Cora.”
“Um… obviously me!”
“Yeah, I don’t think so. Alright, so you had dinner, and things were going smoothly it seems like”
“More or less, at dinner Lady Cora revealed that she knew who we were, which of course we already knew, but we did let her tell us rather than showing we had assumed as such. However, at some point during the dinner she brought out an interesting point, which of course set Wolffe on edge. She informed us Senator Organa was on Coruscant during Order 66 and saw first hand the destruction unleashed on the Jedi temple. It haunted him, unable to do anything to stop it, she told us the fact we were there at her estate, having a meal with her as her quests and not acting as purge troopers or stormtroopers, indicated we were not serving the Empire. She then began asking questions about us, wondering what made us so different”
Tala smacked her forehead, almost as though she was hiding from the events I was telling her, “Please tell me Wolffe didn’t try to kill her?” Her hand slid down her face as she asked her question.
“Um…
Wolffe pushed his chair back, pulling out his blaster in one move and aimed for her head, “What did you just say?”
Lady Cora raised her hands to her guards, motioning for them to stay where they were, “Do you really believe a scar and a goatee would blind people to the truth of who you are?” she motioned between the two of us, smirking as she looked at Wolffe.
“Wolffe” Tech’s voice was strict, he stood from his seat slowly, “Wolffe put the blaster away. We are guests here. I’m sure she doesn’t mean anything sinister by stating she knows we’re clones.”
“Tech is correct, I hold no ill will to those who were unable to control their actions. It’s unfortunate the truth of the matter hasn’t truly come out, I believe if it did it would alleviate many people’s concerns. Although, seeing as clones are becoming less and less common, it will seem no one will care even if the truth does come out.”
“What do you mean?” Jaz leaned forward, hoping to calm down Wolffe and distract him enough for either myself or Tech to move the gun away.
“I received a report recently, clones are now obsolete. They are no longer being used as stormtroopers.”
Wolffe’s hand slowly lowered, “What do you mean?”
“Please sit down” she motioned towards his chair, I took the opportunity to take the blaster away from him, and stuck it in the back of my waistband “Have you heard the term ‘War Mantle’  in your travels?”
“We have” Tech nodded, “I believe it’s a program to bring in regular citizens to work for the Empire.”
“Correct. The program was such a success there was no need to continue making clones. All clone factories have been discontinued.”
“We heard about Kamino” Jaz’s voice was low, somehow making her statement more powerful than she probably intended, “and the destruction that occurred on that planet, but to imagine all the other facilities …” Jaz hand covered her mouth as shock overtook her.
“I don’t understand how you know this?” Wolffe’s hand clenched against his thigh, under the table. I kept glancing over his way to make sure he wasn’t going to do something stupid.
Cora looked around the room motioning for her guards and attendants to leave, it took less than a minute for everyone to exit so we were the only ones left in the room, “We have set up a network to help those who need to hide. There was a prisoner on Kamino at the time of it’s destruction, we helped that prisoner escape.”
“Who was the prisoner?” Tech leaned further, making sure his voice was low.
“Someone who had learned the truth behind the Emperor’s plans long before they came into effect, unfortunately he was unable to get away or find help.” We all looked at each other not quite sure who it was, “Do not worry, you will meet them soon enough.”
“Have you met them?”
“Not yet. However, she said we would meet them when we are ready to leave.”
“Well at least Wolffe didn’t kill her”
“Agreed. Tala, sorry I have to go, Cora and Jaz are wrapping up their meeting about the fair, Wolffe and I are busy trying to determine exactly what this network is and how we can use it to our advantage.”
“Do you all feel safe?”
“Pretty much. Tech’s keeping track of comms. Wolffe’s keeping track of those around us. Don’t worry Tala, if anything seems off, we’ll bug out.”
“Just be careful, comm me when you get another chance.”
“Will do, send our love to the fam, we miss you guys. See you soon.”
I stood as soon as the comm finished, moving towards the refresher, “Going somewhere?” I glanced over to Wolffe who was polishing his blaster.
“Just for a walk”
“With Cora?”
“What?” My hand finding the back of my neck as I scratched it a little, “What… what makes you think that?” I nervously chuckled out.
“Mmhmm. Have fun. Be safe.”
“I’m just going for a walk, vod, of course I’ll be safe”
“You know what I mean” Wolffe raised his eyebrow at me, causing my face to heat up as I moved towards the refresher to freshen up ignoring his persistent gaze.

CODY POV
“We checked and rechecked the hull, there are no transmitters” Rex stated into the comm.
“Alright, I’ll see you guys soon. Please tell my pet, I look forward to seeing him.”
“Ha! Will do Cid. See you soon.”
Rex ended the comm call, leaning back in his seat, “Exhausted?” I glanced over to him.
“She always has a way of making every conversation seem exhausting.”
“I’ll take your word for it. Why did she call Gregor her pet?”
“Because she loves me” Gregor’s voice inched closer to the cockpit, as he leaned against the durasteel, “when I was rescued from Daro, I stayed with Cid for a bit helping her around the bar and running errands for her. She’s not what you expect, but she’s kind even when it seems like she isn’t.”
“It’s true” Rex confirmed, “what she says doesn’t sound kind but her actions say differently.”
“How long are we going to stay on Ord Mantell?”
“Until the Epistemology meet up, then we can take Fives and Wolffe home.”
“Anyone else getting a feeling that we shouldn’t leave Tech and Jaz here on their own?” Gregor looked from Rex to me, as his shoulders shrugged.
“Why not, Tech’s a genius, he can take care of himself and Jaz, and this is Jaz’s home. She’s been dealing with Ord Mantell long before the boys ever got here” Rex offered, although he and Jaz barely spoke, there was a weird mutual respect between the two.
“Let’s discuss what we’re going to do on Ord Mantell until they show up” my statement seemed to throw both of the guys off, which made me chuckle, “you telling me, we came all this way and we have no idea on how to pass the time?”
“There is something - only problem is I’m not sure what we’re looking for” Gregor chuckled as he moved towards the map display. “Hunter said if we had time, we should check out this sector” he pulled up the map of Ord Mantell, in the rural mountainous region. “It’s an area similar to where we held Phoenix’s pryer, however, I believe” he punched in some numbers, “it’s further away and in a even further remote area.”
“Why would Hunter send us there?” Rex looked at the map carefully.
“I don’t know” Gregor shrugged as he stood from his position, “all I know is he asked us to check out the site if we had time.”
“Well it’s on our way to Cid’s or … I don’t know maybe we should go there when we’re ready to leave Ord Mantell.”
“I vote for the later” Rex mumbled
“Me too”
“Alright, Cid’s place it is” I chuckled glancing over to Gregor, “No doubt she’s wondering how her pet is doing”
- - - - - - - - - - - - -
“Here take this” Cid thrusted a broom into Rex’s hand, he looked shocked, and thrown off for a moment, there wasn’t even any sort of salutation once she saw us.
“Uh… excuse me, ma’am…”
“You think you can just stay here without working, I don’t think so, you blondie are gonna do the sweeping. Pet, you do the pouring. You scarface, wipe down the tables.” Her commands were strict and without remorse, I looked from my brothers to the elderly Trandoshian.
“Tala told us …”
“I’m sorry is this Tala’s parlour? Nope. It’s mine. Therefore, do what I say.”
“Couldn’t we just do some bounty hunting and call it even” Gregor mumbled as he shifted behind the bar.
“Stop complaining and get to work.”
Cid promptly headed back to her office, leaving the three of us standing there somewhat surprised, I looked over to Gregor, “What was that about her actions showing she’s kinder than she appears.”
“Trust me, she’s doing this for a reason.”
“Doubt it!” Rex shifted as he began sweeping through the bar, I looked to the rag that had seen better days in my hand, moving over to the sink, wetting it thoroughly before moving to the table.
“How much longer till the guys meet up with us again?”
“According to Tech, another two weeks I think” Rex called over his shoulder.
“Well we can put up with this for two weeks.”
The door to Cid’s back office slid open, she stood there eyeing the three of us, shaking her head, “All of you come with me” she shifted towards the back stairs that led up to another floor. We passed a corridor of doors before she stopped at the second last one, opening it, it was small space, but big enough for four people. “This can be your room in the meantime, there’s a refresher over there” she pointed, “two bunks in each of the rooms, small kitchenette here” she motioned to the rest of the room, pointing out different features. I’d never thought I’d miss my room on Armandine but at that moment I really did. “Hasn’t been used in a while” that much was evident from the layer of dust on everything, “I suggest you put those cleaning skills to work up here first.” She turned to leave, but something didn’t sit right with me, something about her manner.
“Cid, wait” she stopped turned back to look at us, “what’s going on?”
“What makes you think anything is going on?” Gregor stepped forward a silent pleading with his eyes as he looked at her, she let out a long sigh, before she pulled out a datapad from her pocket, “Read this”
I took it in my hand, reading allowed the notice on the datapad, “Attention Ord Mantell citizens. The Empire has paid the ruling families of Ord Mantell a visit a few days ago, demanding we join their Imperialistic ways. After several hours of negotiations and consideration, we have come to an understanding with the Empire…”
“In other words a bunch of people died and now they have no choice but to comply” Rex stated over my shoulder.
“More or less” Cid offered taking the datapad back, “the notice indicates that although there won’t be a garrison or any sort of troopers stationed on Ord Mantell, everything will be reported back to the Empire. Which means your pretty faces are now going to become more popular. Especially, since there’s nothing but unscrupulous people here, they’ll be looking for ways to bring credits to their pockets.”
“Is it safe for any of us to come back here?” Gregor leaned against the counter.
“The word on the street is very simple, we may report to the Empire, but no one works for the Empire. Not to mention, as much as the Empire wants to try and control the outer rims they can’t. Too many gangsters and factions willing to unite against a common enemy. If there’s anywhere that’s safe, for now it’s Ord Mantell, at least until things change.”
“How sure are we no stormtroopers will appear here?” I offered as my hand clenched by my side.
“As sure as the possibility that another one of your lost brothers might end up walking through the door. Truth is, no one knows. All we do know is we have to be cautious. That being said, make sure to keep your faces hidden when going outside. Now clean up this mess of a room, and get back to work.”
She didn’t say much as she headed back downstairs to the bar, we all let out a breath, I turned to the other two, “What do you guys think?”
“We need to keep our eyes and ears open in case something happens” Rex stated, Gregor and I both nodded in agreement, it was one thing to know about the notice, it’s another to be vigilant of those in and around here.
“Two weeks, right?” Gregor chuckled, “Just gotta put up with it for two weeks”
“True. Alright, let’s get to work”

THRAWN’S POV
“Such a shame that we still were not able to succeed in having several key outer rim planets swearing allegiances with the Empire” my voice carrying over to the man whose position I replaced, I turned away from the transparisteel window to look at Rampart his annoyance and anger towards me was clearly evident, “I had imagined Rear Admiral, you would have had better negotiation skills then what I saw on Ord Mantell.”
He lowered his head asking for forgiveness by his gesture, “Ord Mantell is rife with gangsters, smugglers, bounty hunters, they are difficult to deal with at the best of times. However, though they may not have sworn an allegiance, they did in fact agree to be our allies. For now, I suggest we allow them to operate as best they can until we decide differently. If they fail to meet our expectations, we can easily overpower them.”
“If you were so confident in that estimation you would’ve have secured their allegiance. Why simply stop at killing only the heads of the families? Would it not have been better to eliminate all the families and set up our own people?”
“The people of Ord Mantell have a high degree of respect for the ruling families. Only way order is maintained on that planet is due to the power of the ruling families. If we were to have eliminated all of them, the citizens would have revolted. In time, they will see we are the better option.”
I hummed at his theory, “Very well, we shall proceed with your assessment, if however they fail us, it will fall on you. Please remember insurgents are always looking for ways to infiltrate the Empire; would be a shame that your failure led to one of those insurgents to the Chimera, wouldn’t you agree?”
“Indeed”
Our conversation ended sooner than I would have expected as the door to my office chimed, the door swished open to reveal the Grand Inquisitor, “Grand Inquisitor, to what do we owe the pleasure”
“I understand there was a report of a force sensitive individual in the area”
“You are correct. Commodore Enva has already investigated the claim”
“And?”
“It appears a group of con artists were trying to earn some credits leading people to believe they were force sensitive. She has dealt with them.”
“Please inform Commodore Enva in future, I would prefer an inquisitor handle the investigation.”
“I will inform her as such.”
“Excellent” he turned to walk out of the office stopping as he reached the door turning towards me and Rampart, “however, please express my gratitude in her quick and efficient manner of handling the matter. No doubt, you have trained her quite well.” Rampart let out a huff of arrogance, something I’d address later.
“Thank you, Grand Inquisitor. I’ll be sure to inform her of such.”
“I will be departing from the Chimera and heading to Ord Mantell, along with a squad of your troopers. There are rumours of your Jedi there” he motioned towards the man in front of me, “of course, how accurate those rumours are, we shall let the force determine.”
I admired the rank of Inquisitors, they always seemed very capable of handling any sort of deceit and rooting out those who would oppose the Empire. I turned my attention back to Rampart, our discussion was far from over.

FIVES POV
“I didn’t think you’d meet me” I looked at Cora as her beauty radiated under the night sky of Alderaan, “I thought for sure you would have rejected my invitation”
“Well truthfully” her hands fidgeted by her side, “I was thinking of sending someone out here to tell you I changed my mind”
“Why didn’t you?”
Her eyes locked with mine, a smile gracing her lips, “Couldn’t nib the curiosity in the butt.”
“I understand, a man this beautiful” I motioned to myself, “must certainly get your mind racing.”
She hummed at my speech, a contemplative smirk appearing on her lips, “Do you actually believe any of the things you spew?”
“Of course, otherwise why say them”
She came and stood beside me on the balcony which overlooked the forests of Alderaan, Appenza Peak in front of us, looming in the distance, “I believe you say these things and act this way to hide your pain.”
“What pain?” I chuckled
“The pain of losing someone you love” her eyes focused on the Peak in front of us, “sometimes moving on from that person is one of the hardest things to do. It’s easier to drown yourself in passion that will not last, in arms that will only hold you for a single night, simply because it will spare you the reminder of what you lost and the pain of losing again.”
The expression on her face, the contour of her lips, the pain that settled in her eyes, in that moment, I knew she understood me in a way many couldn’t. Tala understood to a degree, but she got the love of her life back. Mine was dead and gone forever. “Sounds like you know what you’re talking about”
“Unfortunately” she answered as she let out a deep seated sigh, one filled with emotion and resignation.
“What happened?”
She turned to look at me, a smile full of sadness gracing her lips, “I’ll tell you if you tell me”
I chuckled a little, nodding in agreement, “I see your negotiating skills coming through very clearly”
She giggled as she shrugged her shoulders, “Got to put those skills to use somehow”
“True”
“So…” she motioned for me to begin, I simply nodded and began telling her about Shaak, how we met, when we realized we had feelings for each other, how I tried to save her, and how I ended up finding her. She listened quite attentively, asking a question here or there. When I finished she simply smiled, before leaning in and giving me a hug, which surprised me greatly. “I am so sorry Fives” I reciprocated her hug, shocked by the warmth of comfort I was feeling in my heart “There’s nothing I can say that will make it any better.”
“Thankfully” I tilted my head till my cheek rested on her head looking over to the Appenza Peak, “I had my family there for me.”
“They seem wonderful”
“They are, what about you?”
Her arms tightened as she pulled me in closer, “He was my guard. Had been by my side since we were teenagers, he became a good friend, and it naturally developed into something more. Several months before the end of the war, I was kidnapped by Red Dawn. He along with several Alderaan guards and Republic troops went in to get me out. He didn’t make it. We had been married all of a month, before I lost him. There are times when I’ll be in a market or a crowd of people, and I swear I’ll hear his laugh or I’ll see his face in the crowd…”
“But when you look to find him, he’s not there. Then you try to convince yourself you imagined things, while trying not to fall apart knowing there’s no possible way he could be there.”
She nodded against my chest, she moved her hand to wipe her cheek. I could feel my throat tighten as I tried to push the pain away. “I’m not sure what’s worse, thinking I see him in the crowd” she mumbled into my chest, “or dreaming he’s still alive and there with me, only to wake up alone or to see someone else’s face there.”
“I never stay the night for that reason. In fact, I’ve only ever stayed once after Shaak, when I woke and saw another woman in my arms, I … I couldn’t take the guilt I felt. I slipped out as fast as I could not looking back.”
“Do you think we’re normal?”
I couldn’t help chuckle a little, “You know that’s an odd question to ask a clone, right?”
“You know what I mean” I could feel her lips smirk against my chest, “do you think this is how people normally grieve, do you think they hold on to the memory of their loved ones to the point they can’t find happiness again?”
“I’m not sure. I heard once that grief is just love enduring, but there are moments when I hate her. I hate her because she left me, because she let me love her so deeply and so completely, to the point where I don’t think I could ever feel that way again.”
“I feel the same for Tamoc. There are days when I wished I never met him, I wished he was never my friend, and all the memories I have of him would evaporate from my mind. Then this unsettling, nauseous feeling settles in my stomach, when I realize there will be a time when I will forget everything about him, and that scares me more than knowing I still love him as deeply as I do.”
“What do we do then? If we can’t let them go, if we can’t move on”
She pulled back to look at me, a smile gracing her lips, “I guess we help each other to move on, to let them go. They wouldn’t want us to stop living, simply because they’re not here.”
My hand shifted from her back, as it reached up caressing her cheek, “How do we help each other?”
Her hands shifted further up my chest, till it wrapped around my neck, she pulled me closer till my lips grazed hers, “Like this” she mumbled before pressing her lips against mine, kissing me with more passion then I’d been kissed in a long time.
