CBSE Allows Class 10 Students to Pursue Mathematics in Class 11: What You Need to Know
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has made an important announcement regarding the subject choices for Class 10 students transitioning to Class 11. In response to the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic, CBSE has provided flexibility for students who have studied Mathematics Basic (241) in Class 10.
According to the latest notice issued by CBSE, students who have studied Mathematics Standard (041) in Class 10 can continue with Mathematics (041) in Class 11. However, students who opted for Mathematics Basic (241) in Class 10 will have the option to pursue Applied Mathematics in Class 11.
This decision reflects CBSEâs commitment to accommodating the diverse learning needs of students during these unprecedented times. It acknowledges the disruptions caused by the pandemic and aims to ease the transition for students as they progress to higher classes.
Itâs essential to note that this relaxation in subject choices will apply specifically to the academic session 2024â25. Therefore, students who have studied Mathematics Basic (241) will also be eligible to opt for Mathematics (041) in Class 11 during this period.
However, CBSE has emphasized the importance of assessing studentsâ aptitude and ability before permitting them to pursue Mathematics (041) in Class 11. School authorities are instructed to ensure that students have the necessary skills and readiness for this academic transition.
Additionally, CBSE has reminded schools that once students have selected their subjects during the registration process, no changes will be permitted afterward. This policy aims to streamline the administrative process and maintain consistency in academic planning.
Meanwhile, students eagerly await the announcement of Class 10 and 12 exam results for the 2023 session. Although the exact date for result declaration remains uncertain, CBSE has indicated that results are likely to be announced after May 20. Students are advised to stay updated through the official CBSE website for any announcements regarding result dates and other important information.
As CBSE continues to navigate the educational landscape amidst evolving circumstances, these decisions aim to support students in their academic journey while ensuring fairness and transparency in the assessment process.

this love - kang taehyun
prologue
synopsis: what happens when soccer player!kang taehyun, who isnât focused on school but is smart enough to pass, sees yn walk in the hallways nearly everyday after homecoming. taehyunâs new hallway crush begins to grow into something bigger, but what happens when he has to make a choice between yn or continuing to fail school ? will taehyun be able to focus on sports, classes, and trying to win yn over ?

taehyunâs eyes lingered over to you, talking to his friends, as they gradually lost his attention. his eyes stayed stuck onto you, watching as you walked towards his way. in all honesty, he wished that his friends could just shut their mouths, not because he didnât care about whatever they were talking about.. and donât get him wrong he loved his friends. but he just wanted all of his attention on you. seeing the way you walked down the hallway, your eyes shining with joy, as you contained a pretty smile.
your arms held a math textbook close to your chest, rushing to your next class, worrying over the fact that you only had a minute to get to your advanced mathematics class. your eyes noticed the boy who was watching you from afar, smile growing even wider, and just as you were about to reach him, you went to the left, going down a different hallway. he looked back, watching as you just barely made it into your class.
and since that day that taehyun spotted you in the hallways.. he couldnât help but see you nearly every single day. even within the large amount of students, taehyunâs attention was always wavered, no matter how much focus he had on a particular activity.. you were always at the center of his mind.
you took a seat lunch tray in your hands, small little smile resting on your face, enjoying the time you spent with your friends. observing your surroundings as they laughed and giggled while playing on the phone, as they took turns playing games on each otherâs phones. your eyes wandered the area, noticing the rather noticeable face that you had grown accustomed to spotting in the hallways, his black hair resting just above his eyes. your eyes stuck on his figure watching as he got up from his seat at his lunch table, his eyes glancing over towards you.. and just like that: it was as if the world stopped. his eyes lingered over at you, his heart skipping a beat.
â-.. so yeah, thatâs what happened and i was just so surprised because i just never saw it coming, yâknow what i mean, yn ?âningning rambled, peeking back to try to understand what you were looking at, but she ultimately failed as your eyes turned their attention back on her. following along with her statements while taking small peeks at the boy who also continued to glance over at you. smile plastered on both of your faces.
and maybe
this was the sign of a new beginning for taehyun.

Education in Roman Spain
There was no compulsory state education for children in any of the western provinces of the Roman Empire. The primary sources are sparse when it comes to the education in Roman Spain, and while some scholars argue for a network of schools, others suggest that in the remoter areas of Spain sourcing Latin and Greek speaking teachers may have been difficult, and Roman education had geographical limitations.
Teachers in Roman Spain
In 197 BCE, the Roman Republic divided the peninsula into Hispania Citerior (near) and Hispania Ulterior (far). In 27 BCE, Marcus Agrippa further divided the Ulterior region into Baetica (the modern-day Andalusia area) and Lusitania (the area of western Spain & part of modern-day Portugal).
Our sources indicate that Roman educational influence in these provinces was expanding sufficiently to require the services of teachers. The homogeneity in the style and content of education in the whole of the Roman Empire was striking; the same methods were used, and the same texts were worked on everywhere. Teaching was seen as a humble position; the average teacher was a man of lower social status who worked independently and had to maintain himself in a schooling system without any support from the Roman government. He worked for a low income, with which he had to also provide a teaching space, whether it was outdoors or beneath shelters or in hired rooms.
Inscriptions provide us with the evidence of the presence of the three principal categories of Roman educators:
The magister or litterator provided an elementary Roman education for girls and boys aged 7-11 years old, which included reading, writing, mathematics, and languages.
The grammaticus worked with boys aged 11-15 years old (in accordance with the role of women in the Roman world, girls generally finished their formal education at this age), teaching subjects such as Greek and Roman literature and philosophy and developing their writing, speech, and language skills.
The rhetor trained students in subjects including public speaking, Roman law and politics; education at this level was only affordable for the upper classes, and it prepared a young boy for his future career and position in the higher echelons of Roman society.
Inscriptions confirm that in Baetica and Tarraconensis and other areas in the eastern and southern coasts of Hispania, children were learning with a grammaticus (CIL II. 5079). Roman studies for boys sometimes also continued with the rhetor.

this is kind of a late update, but about a week ago, i met with my advisor. i told her that i'm worried about my classes and how i'm doing in them. she also happens to be my combinatorics professor.
"it's so strange you are struggling so much this semester. i mean, you got all As last semester."
i didn't want to out my other professors as being awful teachers, so i just told her, "well, i got sick in february and so i fell behind. i got into a cycle where i'm starting every homework just two days before the deadline, constantly having to teach myself the material, and i never caught back up."
which is a true statement, by the way. just not the entire truth.
she told me i could skip that week's combinatorics homework so i could get caught up in my other classes. we wouldn't be coming back to posets ever again in the semester, so i could safely skip this material without getting even further behind in her class. i might miss a question on the final exam, but that was fine with me - i got an 11/100 on our midterm, so i have more important things to be concerned about.
skipping one homework gave me some respite, but i'm not even caught up on the material. i'm just not drowning in it....
i should probably get off tumblr. i'm still tired. i am genuinely burnt out and have been for over a month, but the mathematics isn't going to do itself. i'm going to aim for two hours of productivity today. ideally i manage to complete something for once in my life, but right now, i will not put any expectations on myself. right now, i just need to think.

ITS đ ANON HERE!!
could you write headcanons for jofoes and how they act/acted like in school (as students or as teachers up to you!111$!11!)
hii đ ! totally, itâs fun to think about these guys as students. for the teacher part, thereâs a youtube vid that perfectly encapsulates how i think theyâd be as teachers, hereâs the link: https://youtu.be/3OB_uQh-78I?si=nGOQc85DrPq05gTW
Also sorry for taking a sec to get to these, ironically i just started classes again lol. I try to get to requests within 24 hours but im kinda late here haha. Anyways thanks so much for requesting, this is legit an interesting way to imagine these dudes lol.
â˘â˘â˘â˘School headcannons for jofoes! đŤâ˘â˘â˘â˘
Dio
Mightâve been homeschooled by his mother, growing up in late 19th century England. Receiving a basic education in core subjects.
Once taken in by the Joestars, acted more as an overachiever who excelled in academics and sports, partly out of his ambitions and partly to rise above his poor background. He would be charming to tutors but manipulative toward Jonathan if they were ever taught together.
Extremely sharp and quick witted. Both very street smart and book smart. Excelled in rhetoric, literature, and debate.
He probably had no patience for authority figures who didnât respect him. Lessons would have been formal and rigid, following the time periodâs emphasis on discipline. I think he wouldâve done pretty well in this environment though.
Used his natural charisma to make tutors favor him over Jonathan. If a tutor corrected him or didnât immediately praise his efforts, he would mask his resentment but stew over it later.
If heâd attended a school, heâd definitely be part of the debate team, rugby team, or cricket team.
Report Card: âAn exceptionally bright student, but his attitude toward peers needs improvement.â
Kars
Obviously heâs received no formal education, but definitely self taught through centuries of observation and experimentation.
Heâd be a know it all I think. Though he'd genuinely find joy in learning and furthering his understanding of the world. I donât know how hed do with deadlines though, heâd want to take everything at his own pace.
If he were placed in a modern school when he was younger, Kars would be the intimidating genius who effortlessly aces every subject. Heâs the student who reads advanced material for fun. 1000% reads ahead of the class and gets in trouble for it.
Very good in all sciences, especially biology, chemistry, and physics. Would impress everyone with his deep knowledge of history and philosophy.
Doesnât see the point of school rules and might challenge teachers who he deems unworthy of their positions.
He would join a science club, robotics, or philosophy society.
Report Card: âUnquestionably brilliant, though his disdain for authority disrupts the classroom environment.â
Wamuu
Like Kars, no formal education, but his disciplined and curious nature would make him an excellent student in a modern setting.
The respectful and hardworking student who values fairness. Heâd probably struggle at first but improve quickly due to his determination.
Best at physical education, history, and any subject requiring strategy or problem solving.
I think he would find theoretical subjects like advanced mathematics frustrating without practical application.
An absolute beast in track and field or the wrestling team.
Report Card: âA dedicated and disciplined student who leads by example.â
Esidisi
No formal education, though I do think heâd adapt quickly in a modern school.
The passionate student who talks a little too much. Heâd be popular but occasionally disruptive.
Honestly I see him doing well in creative subjects like drama or art, where he could channel his energy.
Difficulty staying focused and a tendency to get too emotional when frustrated.
I think heâd somewhat enjoy a drama club or student council.
Report Card: âEnthusiastic, though he needs to work on channeling his energy productively.â
Enrico Pucci
He probably received formal education in a Catholic school his parents placed him and his sister in.
The quiet, disciplined student who always followed the rules. Pucci was probably the teacherâs pet and other students were told to be more like him- a role model for his peers.
Good in theology, literature, and any topics requiring deep thought and analysis.
I think his rigid adherence to rules might make him inflexible in creative subjects.
Heâd be a very active participant in choir, the debate team, and/or volunteer programs.
Report Card: âAn excellent student with strong moral character and a passion for learning.â
Diavolo
I would assume he mightâve attended a public school in Italy during his youth, though he wouldnât have had much formal education.
The mysterious loner who rarely spoke and sat at the back of the class. His presence was unsettling to others, and he likely avoided extracurriculars.
Skips classes and often entire school days. There are rumours among the students that heâs part of some sort of gang.
I think heâd actually be good in mathematics and problem solving, as heâs meticulous and logical. Would he use his intelligence to ace his classes? Lmao no.
Definitely lacks social skills. He avoided group work and mistrusted his peers.
No clubs or activities. If he stayed the whole school day, heâs going straight home.
Report Card: âA quiet student with strong analytical skills but no interest in engaging with classmates or teachers. Shows potential but refuses to use it.â
Kira
Probably attended a private school, Iâm pretty sure heâs lived in Morioh his whole life.
The quiet, unassuming student who always turned in assignments on time but avoided attention. Teachers liked him, but classmates found him odd.
Makes it a point to get slightly above average grades. Just ânormalâ enough to blend in.
Precision in subjects like mathematics, chemistry, and music.
Another one whoâs poor at socializing. He was polite but distant, never forming close friendships.
Iâd see him being part of a music club (piano I think), or chess club.
Report Card: âA diligent and talented student, though he rarely interacts with his peers.â
Diego Brando
I donât think he had a normal education, if I remember correctly he worked on a farm as a kid and probably didnât get to go to school at that time. Later on though he mightâve attended school. He mightâve been an outsider among wealthier students.
The competitive, ambitious student who excelled academically and athletically to prove himself. Diego was likely resentful of wealthier classmates and used his successes to spite them.
I think heâd be very good at most sports, sciences, and debate.
Prone to jealousy and conflict with peers. Probably gets in a lot of arguments and challenges his classmates.
Part of an equestrian team, fencing club, or debate society.
Report Card: âA highly capable and driven student, though his competitive nature occasionally leads to conflict.â
Funny Valentine
Likely received formal education in 19th-century America, maybe at a military academy.
The disciplined, patriotic student who excelled in history and public speaking. Valentine was a natural leader and respected by peers and teachers alike.
I can see him lecturing other classmates on how important and great America is. He probably bought into a lot of war and nationalist propaganda directed towards youths in his time. Often telling other students about his dream to become the President someday.
Great in history, government, and oration.
One weakness is how his single minded focus on his ideals sometimes makes him dismissive of differing opinions.
Part of the debate club or student government.
Report Card: âA dedicated and inspiring student with strong leadership potential.â
