Bayushki-Bayu fun fact:

Going way back for this one! The first iteration of this fic - before I rewrote it in 2023 - was written while I had covid. I had the idea for the fic and part of it written already, but I didn't pick out the song until I got a bit further in. I remember laying in bed looking up 'classic russian lullabies' for hours, and finally found Bayushki-Bayu and completely fell in love. Around that time, I also had really bad insomnia, and as embarrassing a it is to admit, I used to sing quietly to myself to help me get to sleep, and for months after the fic I'd just sing the English lyrics to the lullaby over and over to myself until I fell asleep.

That lasted about 3 years and then I stopped LOL but it’s my 10 year death note anniversary so I figured this would be fun

It's been so long since I felted and this felt so good. Like I already mentioned, I used wool from gay rams for them (so poetic!!). Not exclusively, since the colours didn't 100% match. But all the dark parts and most of Mello's blond coat is made with RainbowWool and I can't thank them enough for sending me some of their wool!! 🧡🧡🧡
