Inkább egy becsületes szlovák, mint egy gazember magyar!

A legnagyobb magyar mondta egyszer, hogy aki embernek hitvány, az magyarnak alkalmatlan. Így állok most valahogy az állmafőválasztás előtt én is Szlovákiában.

Öt évvel ezelőtt Bárdos Gyula vállalta elsőként, hogy megmutatja – ha nem is esélyes befutóként, de –  itt vagyunk és meg akarunk maradni közösségként. Ebből adódóan kézenfekvő volt, hogy

A Most-Híd akkor nem állt be a magyar jelölt mögé és – mint végül kiderült – egy olyan szlovák jelöltet támogatott, aki nemhogy esélytelen volt, de még önmagát is képtelen lett volna megverni (és megnyerni). Az óriási nagy taknyolás után Bugár úgy döntött, a saját bőrét viszi a vásárra, hogy kissé felturbózza eléggé megtépázott renoméját a heti rendszerességű botrányok miatt.

Aki az utóbbi hetekben nyitot szemmel járt a republikában, láthatta, Bugár nem viccel és reménytelenül kapálódzik. Az óriásplakátjai, szórólapjai és egyéb kampánytevékenysége több százezer eurót emésztenek fel. Hatékonyságát tekintve szinte eredménytelenül (gondoljunk csak bele, mi mindenre lehetne félmillió eurót hatékonyabban felhasználni, mint kidobálni az ablakon…). Mert valljuk be őszintén, Bárdos, Menyhárt, de még Bugár is teljesen tisztában van vele, hogy Szlovákiának nem lesz magyar köztársasági elnöke.

És bár pár kibic újságíró elmélkedhet azon, hogy 2-3 vagy 5% lesz az adott jelölt becsült eredménye, ez puszta matematika. Olyan, mint amikor az utolsó fordulóval a bajnokság vége előtt az utolsó csapat arról beszél, hogy matemetikailag még bármi megtörténhet.

Mindebből kifolyólag pedig teljesen irreleváns az eredményről beszélni, ha mögötte minden ép ésszel gondolkozó embert az foglalkoztat, hogy milyen elnöke lesz ennek az országnak és milyen irányba fog haladni a sokat ragozott demokráciánk.

Ez olyannyira hatással volt a folyamatokra, hogy Čaputová asszony már el is kezdett két nyelven kommunikálni, ami egy apró, de fontos lépésnek tekinthető irányunkba.

Ámde ennél egy sokkal lényegesebb dologra is rámutatott Menyhárt, amit mi magyarok alig veszünk észre, pedig a napnál is világosabb. A szlovák ismerőseim hívták fel rá a figyelmemet, hogy bár Menyhárt népszerűségén még bőven van mit építeni, de legalább látja a többségi nemzet, hogy nem minden magyar olyan kutyaütő, aki asszisztál a maffiagyilkosságok kormánnyal való összefonódásához, nem minden magyar falaz címzetes tolvajok országrablásához, illetve beállva ebbe a sorba bizniszel maga is az állami földalappal autópálya-építési telkeken busás haszonszerzés céljából, és nem minden magyar változtatja meg a szavát az egyik pillanatról a másikra.

Márpedig ebben rejlik Menyhárt zseniális jelöltsége és időben való visszalépése.

Ennél a pontnál pedig visszhangozzon a fülünkben Széchenyi István írásom elején idézett híres mondata…

Mindazonáltal Menyhárt és az MKP a Mistrík mögé való beállással nemcsak ez irányba tett egy fontos lépést, de lándzsát tört a demokratikus, jobboldali erők mellett is,

akiknek együttes kormányzásuk alatt Mečiar bűzös mocsarába sikerült visszasüllyeszteni azt. Ahogy a demokratikus jobboldal korábban, vélhetően most sem fogja elfelejteni a magyarok helytállását és Mistrík elnök különben viseltet majd irántunk, mint míves elődjei. Azt hiszem, egy Schuster-mattban tán ki is egyeznénk…
