An Oddballs rant
Tumblr media
This Toasty image is my reaction when I see the treatment of abused kids in Oddballs
Oddballs has terrible morals for children
I’m saving Toasty for the end of this post because I have so much stuff to say about his arc
first - Max and his parents
Max is already a terrible character
but why is he comfortable with his parents
in episode 1 it’s shown they have abused him and episode 8 shows they won’t hesitate to give him away to a strange lab if he acts feral, like wtf, I hate those 2 (and his sister too)
THAT’S YOUR KID! TREAT HIM LIKE YOUR KID AND PROTECT HIM! WHAT’S WRONG WITH YOU!
Max is also abusive (which I’m going to talk about in the Toasty section)
second - James, Louise and Patrick
As someone who was neglected, I think James’ parents did neglect James (and Louise was also shown to turn her kid into a smart phone despite the fact he was SCREAMING in pain)
Louise doesn’t care about James, the only person close to a parent he has is Mr. Mcfly, HIS TEACHER!
Mr. Mcfly is probably the only character suit to be a parent in this show!
now…the reason why I wrote this…
third - Toasty / Declan
A abused kid portrayed as the VILLAIN?! HUH?!
Why are his abusive fathers (James and Max) A HERO?!?!?! WTF!!!
James is overbearing and strict (and killed his OWN SON!) and tries to justify him throwing his son’s dead body in the trash!
Toasty has been abused and traumatized by James and Max, Max just sees him as an experiment and doesn’t hesitate to make his life a living hell, no wonder why Toasty snapped, BECAUSE MAX AND JAMES ARE ABUSERS!
Max never cared about Toasty, won’t hesitate to kill him (same can be applied to James) and doesn’t care when HIS OWN FUCKING SON DIES! Max should stay the fuck away from kids and never be a parent again! I just want to kick and hit Max, he’s so awful
James did kinda try to care but thanks to the worst character Max, he just wants Toasty for toast (same as Max) and even though he tries to become a better parent, he fails, I hope he doesn’t have the chance to become a father again
Toasty is a victim of abuse and should have been redeemed but nope, they just had to kill him, turn him into a waffle maker and say that he’ll cause destruction again! this isn’t how you write a 13 YEAR OLD TEENAGER WHO HAS BEEN TRAUMATIZED THANKS TO 2 FUCKING IDIOTS
I just wish Toasty had a better arc (and also get away from James and Max)
how about James and Max become the villains and Toasty is a hero who escapes from them and at the end gets adopted by Mr. Mcfly
he’s also isolated from the rest of Dirt, and was never taught morals, which is why I think he went on a rampage, he doesn’t know that what he’s doing is bad, he just thinks he’s doing the right thing, and honestly I just want to give him blankets, hugs and headpats and tell him that it’s not his fault he was abused, and that he deserves better
fuck Max, James, Max’s parents, Louise and Patrick, I hope someone kicks them
This is why Oddballs disgusts me, I’m pissed off and the writing of this show feels like a slap in the face.
I’m ending my vent here, sorry for my anger, I just can’t with this show.

OKay but a young Billy who literally runs away with the circus
Like, he's fourteen or something but says that he's sixteen, forges his parents' signatures on something that gives him permission to go with them when he impresses the manager guy with his juggling skills or something (his mom taught him, it became their thing, and then he kept it up because it impressed his friends and he became good at it, really good).
And it's hard work, and not settling down, and he's not good enough to do a number on his own yet but he's a hard worker and he learns how everything works and he gets to know the people there and the animals and they become a family of sorts, and he learns a lot. Keeps up his juggling act, eventually becomes good enough to have a number of his own, and also he's strong and limber and he hangs out with the acrobats and the artists and he learns a little bit of everything and a couple of years later you have a Billy who can perhaps not do the most daring tricks, but he can definitely jump in with the acrobats when needed and has become really good at driving a motorbike in one of those round little cages - but his main thing is still juggling. He juggles with balls, pins, rings, and knives and torches lit on fire, and at one point - flaming swords (which he puts out by swallowing them, because he's Extra like that). He wears tight spandex with lots and lots of sequins in the shape of flames, wears makeup that glitters like embers in the spotlight, and he's good, he's really good.
And then one day in 1984 the circus is in Indiana, is going to be a in a small town called Hawkins before moving up to Indianapolis where they have three shows planned.
And on that night in Hawkins, Billy looks out in the audience and sees a familiar face - no, three familiar faces; his dad, his dad's wife and her daughter, Max, whom he hasn't seen in three years. He is so startled that he almost drops the flaming pins he's juggling with, but he's a professional, so he finishes his set. Gets applause, as usual. Glances out into the audience again. His dad is smiling, looking down at Max, who is clapping her hands enthusiastically.
His dad doesn't recognize him. He doesn't know if that's a relief or a disappointment.
And unbeknowest to him, there's someone noticing HIM, too; Steve is in the audience too, maybe dragged there to babysit the Party or something, and he is mezmerised by this golden apparition who handles fire like that. Can't take his eyes off of him. And after the show, he sneaks off to try to find this boy ... tells himself he just want to talk, just wants to tell him how good the show was ... but when he finds him, the golden boy sits on a pair of steps, staring straight ahead. They start talking, and maybe it's the sudden sight of Neil and the reminder that Neil was never accepting of Billy liking boys, but Billy turns on the charm just because he can - no one in his new family care, they're all considered oddballs anyway - and the two of them hit it off. Who knows, maybe they hook up.
Point is, Steve definitely goes to Indianapolis for the other three shows, too, and they have fun and fall in love and Steve says Billy's welcome back to him in the off season. And maybe they talk enough that Steve tells him about the kids he babysits, and how there's a new girl with them, who just moved here. And maybe Billy learns more about his old family that way. And maybe, a month or so later when the tour is over and they all have some free time, Billy comes back to Hawkins. Looks for Steve. And manages to stumble in on all of them on the same night in November, with them standing around arguing over a dead demodog. And Max is there and only vaguely recognizes Billy now, when he's not sparkling, and only when he smiles at her wryly and calls her 'Maxine', and there is a lot of shouting and crying and also later they fight the demodogs and what do you know, Billy's skill with throwing knives around is actually a good thing and Dustin swore later that he saw the guy do a flip over an attacking demodog, it was so cool Steve!
Anyway. Circus Billy joins the Party, fights demodogs, and occasionally wears glittery spandex and sparkly makeup, juggling burning things and knives.
(And yes, I just came back from watching a circus show, why do you ask?)

AU ideas for AU’s where Gregory was born in different years in the Fnaf timeline:
Raised by the classic: AU where Gregory was raised by the Fnaf 1 crew.
Raised by something borrowed and something new: AU where Gregory was raised by the Fnaf 2 crew.
Broken parents: AU where Gregory was raised by the Withered animatronics. Meanwhile William messed with the Toy animatronics so the Withered animatronics also have to protect Gregory from the Toys.
Raised by toys: AU where Gregory was raised by the Toy animatronics. Meanwhile William messed with the withered animatronics so the toy animatronics also have to protect Gregory from the Withered.
Raised by shadows: AU where Gregory was raised by the Shadow animatronics.
Raised by the ghosts from the past: AU where Gregory was raised by the Phantom animatronics. They protect Gregory from Springtrap.
Raised by the Circus crew: AU where Funtime Freddy, Bon Bon, Funtime Foxy and Ballora don’t follow their program to kill children. They raise Gregory and they try to hide him from Baby, William and HandUnit.
Raised by a baby: AU where Baby child killing program crashed and she didn’t kill Elizabeth. And now she raises Elizabeth AND Gregory while keeping them hidden from everyone.
Raised by the odd ones: AU where Gregory was raised by the Fnaf SL custom night animatronics (Yenndo, Lolbit, Bonnet and Electrobab) and them have to keep him save from everyone.
Golden parents: AU where Gregory was raised by Fredbear and Spring Bonnie.
Raised by the grandpa: AU where Old Man Consequences finds a lost soul of baby Gregory and raises him.
So many parents: AU where Gregory was raised by every animatronic you can buy in Pizzaria Simulator.
Since Fnaf Pizzaria Simulator you only could have 5 animatronics max in the pizzaria on the stage here other AU’s for people that like to follow game logic.
Raised by trash: AU where Gregory was raised by the Trash and the Gang. (In a nutshell raised by Mr.Hugs)
Mediocre parents: AU where Gregory was raised by the Mediocre Melodies.
Raised by rockstars: AU where Gregory was raised by the Rockstar animatronics.
Raised by the oddballs: AU where Gregory was raised by the other animatronics in Pizzaria Simulator (El Chip, Funtime Chica, Music Man, Candy Cadet and Security Puppet).
Mixed parents: AU where you decide witch 5 animatronics that you can buy in Pizzaria Simulator raise Gregory.
Dumb ideas…
I think raised by trash and raised by everyone are my favorites along with raised by baby.

Am I the only one who honestly feels bad for Toasty in Oddballs? Yeah, he’s a villain...but I feel like he only became that way because of how James and Max both treated him and their constant fighting over how to raise him. And while you can argue that James actually treated him very well, I don’t think it’s going to help a kid (or a smart-toaster with the mindset of a small child) to have their parent make it very clear that the only reason they treat them well is because they want something out of them. James doesn’t treat Toasty well out of actual concern for his well-being; he just thinks that if Toasty is confident, he’ll make perfect toast for him and Max to eat.

Let’s Talk About Coconut Fred
I wouldn't say its been a while since I did a review, but there is a considerable gap between this and my last. A lot is happening in my life, I'm set to finish my last term in grad school this Sunday, I'm waiting for an update on a part time job and I'm gonna celebrate by binging some movies on Tubi and YouTube, and since I'm facing some writers block on my last assignment, I figured I'd vent about something.
Remember Coconut Fred: Fruit Salad Island? Me neither. It was that year I moved into a new house, at that point I was just watching Cartoon Network and never really had a reason to watch KidsWB. First I ever heard of it was by chance when I was googling KidsWB's program list, long before this show became a whipping boy of some degree.
I'll get into a contributing factor to me making this review later, but for now, back then I saw at least two episodes in full, Bad Apple, and something about a tropical resort. I had some experience with the show, and I still feel like there's little to show for it. But let's get right into it.
What is?
The mid-2000s saw a small rise in shows with overly optimistic main characters in summery or tropical settings, ballpark to around 2004 when the SpongeBob movie was released, or perhaps when the show was at its peak, before it killed everyone's brains. It's not definite, but imagine if other creators assumed the show was gonna end after the movie, and they wanted to create the next big thing to fill the hole set to be left, a lot of faces would go red over the hindsight.
The show is credited to two creators, Don Oriolo and Sammy Oriti, with development credited to Ray DeLaurentis. Oriti has a very thin filmography, to say the least. He is tied to two obscure films, and this is the only cartoon he ever worked on. Oriolo has a more interesting past, having worked on Campfire Stories, a cheap horror anthology which is notable for being where Charlie Day met Rob McElhenney, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
However, Oriolo does have some experience with animation, primairly working on The Twisted Tales of Felix the Cat and other stuff relating to the property. Oriti and Oriolo do have a big connection, where Oriti was given a special thanks on Felix the Cat Saves Christmas. Oriolo was also behind I Am a Gummy Bear, the music video and the movie. So, quite an oddball pair and one has dirtier hands than the other.
They conjured up a concept and pitched it to someone in the business, in this case, Ray DeLaurentis, and what has he done? Well aside from some work on the 80s revival of Alfred Hitchcock Presents and Providence, he created and wrote the Bubsy pilot, was a common writer on the later seasons of Fairly Odd Parents, wrote at least one episode for Bunsen is a Beast, also wrote for Shaggy and Scooby Doo Get a Clue, whatever was wrong with it, oh yeah, and he wrote Bah Humduck!, the worst Christmas Carol adaptation of all time.
On the upside he has also worked on Xaolin Showdown and Ozzy and Drix, among other stuff that may be considered decent. It seems beforehand he had worked at Warner Bros. Animation hence how this landed in KidsWB's crosshairs.
What makes this show interesting is that it features both American and Canadian voice actors. Our lead is played by Rob Paulsen, keep that in mind, and I believe one character was played by Danny Cooksey. For the rest, we have Michael Donovan, who has gone between American and Canadian productions, Brian Drummond, the first voice of Knuckles the Echidna, Tracey Moore, one point Princess Peach as well as The Geek from Sam and Max: Freelance Police, Kelly Sheridan, who played Diana in Martin Mystery, Britt McKillip, who played Hannah in the Scary Godmother movies, and lastly Eric Bauza, who just two years prior played Stimpy in Ren and Stimpy: Adult Party Cartoon, and would later lent his voice to Slab in Cans Without Labels, the final nail in the coffin for John Kricaflusi. He's also in far too much stuff to mention. He was once based in Canada, only appearing on Adult Party Cartoon because one of the studios behind the animation was based in that country, and the rest is somehow history.
What About?
This is a comedy involving an overly optimistic and naive coconut attempting to spice up life on a tropical island full of living fruits, and of course one guy will have none of it. It seems every episode operates in a bubble, nothing occurring being of any consequence in another.
The first episode I saw, I forgot the title of, and... it wasn't anything to write home about. It helped introduce me to most key characters, for however basic they are. Not even something made for kids in mind, but are you telling me three dimensions is too mature for children? I'm just saying.
However, it was when I saw another episode that things went south, and I became better acquainted to Fred's brand of annoyance, either that or I saw how weak the writing of the show could be. Latter first, they incorporated a running gag where a bully calls Fred a mean name, but it turns out there is an existing character with that name and Fred assumes that's who he's referring to. The former, it's how Fred goes about carrying out the jokes, naivety can only get you so far, and the only way its constant use can work is if the character happens to be aware of it and is just using it to get a rise out of people. I'm just saying, regardless of it being a TV show sometimes you go through something so many times you attempt to rationalize it so you can justify the time you wasted.
But cards on the table, that was the last episode I saw in full, I gave up on a third one and years later, someone did a review of the show.
That's really all I can say about the show, it's annoying and there's no nuance to it, the plots are too weak to hold over flat personalities, likely dumbed down for a lack of true thought, owed to pedigrees of mediocre productions, or in two instances, having little connection to the medium at all. However, that isn't to say a cartoon is automatically going to suck if someone involved has no experience, but that really only applies to writers.
For instance, there's an episode of CatDog, Sneezie Dog, whose writer only had credits to live-action productions, and that episode was decent. There's a Hey Arnold! episode, Magic Show, written by a novelist who had no other experience with cartoons. It can be done, but it depends on what you're bringing to the table.
This is basically the opposite of Mike, Lu and Og, as in compared to another show set on an island that is considered mediocre at best, this is worse than that. Mike, Lu and Og at the very least had more experienced animators and artists, or maybe I'm trying to say something nice about it before the influx of negative reviews bury it, and because I did a review of it that's now lost to time.
But to give a proper summary, this show is like a beehive on a tree well out of walking range. It isn't doing anything, and interacting with it is always gonna be consequential.
But that's not why we're here
There's a bigger reason why I decided to make this, and why it's classified as a "Let's Talk About" rather than a review. There has been an ongoing stigma against this show, which to this day I still don't understand. This is apparently a rip-off of SpongeBob SquarePants.
Now, look, I'm probably the last person who would ever consider something a rip-off. Hell, I unironically watch Irate Gamer and consider AVGN to be overrated and overprotected, why else do people suddenly not have the time to watch a documentary detailing a decline in quality? My point is, I've stopped taking the rip-off label seriously long ago, so when something is accused of being one, I'm always going to see it with some level of skepticism.
Which is good, because considering this show a rip-off is a stretch so big that it'd be easier to call MrEnter a rip-off of Spax3. It's enough to vindicate the sheer volume of stupid that hit Johnny Test, and many asses are still stinging from that era, at least people are becoming kinder to earlier seasons of it though.
Now, I didn't take it seriously at first, I just thought this was general idiocy on the Reception Wiki's part, which is where I first heard of it, but no, people are dead set on framing it as a rip-off.
But let's look into the accusations, or the bigger ones. They went out of their way to claim characters are rip-offs of others.
Coconut Fred is considered a rip-off of SpongeBob, the character I mean. Coconut Fred is not a frycook, let alone employed in a consistent job. He does not have any hobbies that consist of catching things with nets. He does not have a pet that is the equivalent of a cat. He does not have proper buck teeth. He does not have blue irises. He is not square nor is he a sponge. Also, you're basically implying SpongeBob is insufferably annoying if you think Fred is a copy of him.
Slip and Slide are considered rip-offs of Patrick on the grounds of both being idiots. They're two characters, they have a clear Southern drawl, and few strokes of genius. Otherwise by their logic, every dumb character is a rip-off of Patrick.
Mr. Greenrind, you would think would be considered a rip-off of Squidward, but no, people call him a Mr. Krabs rip-off. I've seen only one episode with Mr. Greenrind, he's not greedy, he doesn't own a restaurant, and basically you've never seen a grumpy man in your life.
This last one is absolutely hilarious, Bingo Cherry, a sentient cherry who can speak proper English and works as an assistant to the lead grump... is apparently a rip-off of a house pet. When I first heard the claim of this being a rip-off, seeing the reasons, I thought it was just an elaborate joke poking fun at the Johnny Test hate crowd, but no, this is considered serious enough.
Next, the setting, Coconut Fred takes place on an island, above water. SpongeBob takes place in a city, under water. Coconut Fred and other characters are fruits, SpongeBob characters are fish or some variation of existing sea creatures.
I'll give the Johnny Test crowd some credit, it's quite a coincidence that the smartest characters in that show happen to be red-heads with glasses, maybe that's why Slip and Slide were considered rip-offs based on that technicality?
But fine, I'll play your game, I'll go one ahead and say this isn't a rip-off of SpongeBob, this is more like a rip-off of Camp Lazlo, but let me explain.
Lazlo and Fred are insufferably annoying naive optimists, Chip and Skip and Slip and Slide are dumb as dirt twins, Mr. Greenrind and Lumpus are grumpy leaders of their base of operations and are at odds with the insufferably annoying naive optimists, and both have impish sidekicks who often side with the insufferably annoying naive optimists.
It's honestly hilarious how people are quick to suddenly make comparisons where they don't usually fit, but are just as quick to ignore more blatant similarities for other characters. For instance, Bessie Higgenbottom and Penny Leftowitz give off some clear SpongeBob and Patrick vibes, and I saw at least one person immediately deny it. Either people are blind or they want to protect those quirky girls Twitter users like to wax over.
Sorry about that tangent, I wanted to get that off my chest for a long while.
Now, you may be thinking that I'm ignoring an elephant in the room, that MrEnter probably got these claims going. But let me say this, he didn't originate many of the attitudes animation fans had at the time, he just helped them to spread. People have already hated Breadwinners and the new SpongeBob episodes long before Enter gave their thoughts, now yes, I hold him up for not helping quell those claims sooner, but there is one person who is consistently credited to getting the rip-off claims going, and what Enter probably referred to in his review.
Not a reviewer, not someone on the internet, but an industry professional.
Rob Paulsen.
At one point, Rob Paulsen claimed that the show was a rip-off of SpongeBob SquarePants, for some reason. Best case, he is unaware of how little braincells the animation community has, I mean why else does AniMat have a following? But look, if you think about either show, it is easy to see where either contrasts.
You compare this show to one where there're more differences than similarities if you think hard enough (which is apparently a sin in the animation community these days), and again, more obvious examples fly right over your head.
It has gotten to a point where people claim this is a rip-off based on Rob Paulsen's word alone. And with that, I'd just like to place myself on the hill I'm ready to die on. Rob Paulsen's an idiot. Either he didn't look deeper into where the claims come from, or he just wants to look cool for animation fans. Either he's stupid, or does not have any grasp on grander implications. He was the same guy who agreed to have any part in Doug Walker's career... I can't think of anything else.
Or maybe most SpongeBob fans aren't very bright. I mean, they can't even detect sarcasm, and they have idiots like MoBros and LambHoot assing it up without remorse. A lot of shit has happened with the SpongeBob fandom over the past few years, and Rob Paulsen gave them more ammunition with the most baseless idea yet.
I'm harping on this because it's dangerous to hold something against the show based on one man's word alone. It's one guy's word, we don't know his philosophy or reason for saying these things, and if it's a joke it would be spread so much that people would forget the meaning it originally had. I mean, for instance, Brian Posehn only dunked on Nickelback because they were overplayed on the radio, and you can fill in the blanks.
Final Thoughts
On any other day, this would just be an incredibly obnoxious show that is rightly ragged on, for better or worse. However, when people decide to base their views of it on what another said, it ruins the prospect, because half the time the grander context is sorely missed. I don't care what Rob Paulsen says, his word is meaningless because it was done for validation rather than seeing what he has done.
This is just a case of favoritism and ignorance. If this was considered a Camp Lazlo rip-off then that would be fine as that and this have too many similarities to ignore. To whoever got those crazy allegations going, I hope their career is as troubled as Cam Clarke's.

Do people need to use the Max when they are shitting on P and Kelly?? Like do you really need to tag the man and accuse him of abandoning her lmao oddballs. // Sorry but as a neutral Max I have to tell both you that both you and the people you go against are oddballs 😂 If I had to choose who is weirder, those (including you) who spam the Max tag with pictures of a four year old girl (sharing pics of her from every angle imaginable to human eye Lmfao) or those who rant about where Kelly Piquet sucks as a parent, I can't really decide, both is weird af. I haven't seen any other sport fandom where people show this level of OBSESSED about an athletes kid (or how the kid is parented). But hey choose your Weirdos I guess 😂😂
Then block :)

Instead of going off to university like everyone else you got convinced to join the military, but that didn’t last long so you quit and went off to study psychology. Generation 27: Calico (Black, Brown, White) Your parents spent their days locked in their catacombs and lived exclusively in the night, forcing you to find affection elsewhere. You talk your parents into adopting a dog and a cat during your childhood, and they become your closest friends, teaching you the value of a mortal life. As soon as you’re able, you abandon the Vampire world and move away to the country to open your own Vet clinic. You join a hometown bowling league to socialize and let off steam. Your heir gets the “Fast food” job as a teenager.

Your parents were polar opposites. One was never home, and never paid any attention to you when they were, while the other tried to make up for their absence by smothering you with love. You learn to cope with your love of food, and dream of one day owning your own restaurant. After the daily grind of working your way up as a fast-food employee as a teenager, you move to the struggle of making a name for yourself in the culinary world. When the heir is a teen, your spouse divorces you over your long work hours at your restaurant, promptly moving out and leaving you a single parent.
Your heir gets a Barista job during high school simply to be at home as little as possible, which doesn’t help your relationship.
By the time your heir hits YA, have the relationship deteriorate to “disliked”.
Generation 29: Lavender
Your parents divorced over one parent’s long work hours, and you never really got over it. Your resentment to your workaholic parent adds to the betrayal you feel towards the parent who left, leaving you feeling completely abandoned. This, however, doesn’t affect your dreams or work ethic. You push these feelings aside and dedicate yourself to your studies and your real escape – your art. As soon as you can, you escape the toxic house you grew up in and get the first art-related job you can find. You spend all of your time working at being a success, eventually becoming the successful artist you knew you could be. Your personal life, however, suffers from your lack of social skills, and you end up having a string of short-lived and failed relationships. One of these leads to an unplanned pregnancy. You try to do the right thing, and stick by your child, but the relationship with their other parent still crumbles. Finally, you understand the struggle your parent had when you were young, and you vow to become the best parent you can be. To this end, you quit your painting job and start selling your paintings on commission at a gallery so you can stay home with your child.

You hide in your room or the local library instead – especially during your parent’s party nights – and you find fantasy worlds in your books. You were brought up into the knowledge that magic is real, but spells and potions never really interested you. You spent your youth sneaking around and watching Star Wars on TV. Eventually, you figured that if magic were a real thing, why couldn’t your favorite show be real, too? Maybe it was your magic talent that willed the world into existence, maybe it was already there, but one day after you left your magic and your magical family behind, you find yourself in a world you only dreamed of before. You are eager to explore, and want to learn everything there is to know about this new world. Fearing repercussions, you never tell your family or friends about what you’ve found, and simply explain your frequent disappearances from the real world as “extended vacations”. You move far away from your parents, and end up living in the mountains near a ski resort. You are recruited by a local corporation, and quickly find a place you can really excel. After graduating, you threw yourself into your new career, and were quick to make yourself a success. The only thing left was success in your personal life. You approach this with the same logic, finding your spouse working at a local library because you’ll have something in common – a love of books. Generation 37: Magenta
Being the next generation to attend college was always expected of you. You tried to tell your parents that this simply wasn’t for you, but they wouldn’t hear of it. So, you went to college. You refused to live on campus, however, and you found an old house to rent. It didn’t occur to you to check the history of the house… until it was already too late. Unknowingly, you were drawn into the world of spirits – because this house was haunted. The entity that inhabited it wanted desperately to communicate… and you were the first target that was receptive to it’s pleas. As you got more and more interested in the arcane and trying to help this spirit, your studies suffered. Eventually, you quit college and launch a career as a paranormal investigator – to your parent’s chagrin. Despite their heavy disapproval, you forge ahead, becoming a success despite your parent’s misgivings. Get married, and have at least one child to carry on the legacy.
Generation 38: Snow (White)
Your parent was lost in arcane knowledge and talking to entities. Seances and candles were everywhere as you grew up. You shied away from all that, however, and found other hobbies. You love tinkering and building new things. However, your real love lies in the mountains. Your dream is to get to the summit, but hitting the snowy slopes is also in your idea of the perfect day. You move as close to the real action as you can get, and spend all your free time either in your workshop working on a robot to do all of your household chores, or out in the cold with your friends. Generation 40: Steel
Your military family and their push to get you to achieve became a way of life for you. You felt a pull to go a different direction with your life, however, and you want to work with your hands and make a real difference in the world. School was never an issue for you, and learning new things was a breeze. As you set out on your own, you adopt a more bohemian lifestyle, and spend as much time as possible making a difference in your hometown.
Traits: Maker, Green Fiend, Genius
Aspiration: Master Maker (Teen-YA), Eco Innovator (adult-elder)
Career: Freelance Maker (Teen-YA), Civil Designer (adult-elder)
Goals:
Move to Evergreen Harbor and get your neighborhood to a “Green” state.
Get four active Neighborhood Action Plans (preferably ones that help the neighborhood go “green”.) If needed, turn back on the NPC voting and footprint effects in game settings. You are welcome to turn it back on after this generation if you want.
Try to unlock all fabrication recipes (including ones from whichever branch of Civil Designer you chose)
Master Fabrication and Juice Fizzing skills
Try to get to the top of the Freelance Maker career (you’ll know you’re there when you get the award) and finish the Master Maker Aspiration before you quit to join the Civil Designer career and your second aspiration.
It might be a good idea to attend University again this generation (you could do the Freelance career to make money while attending classes), but I will leave that choice up to you.
The heir must get a fisherman job and get to level 3 in it before becoming a YA.
Get the Health Food Nut Lifestyle
Generation 41: Lime
You decide to break the family pattern, and you actually just want to really reconnect to nature. Your parents support your decision, but would prefer you stay at home. After some thought, you decide to set out on your own instead. You find a plot of land far away from the city and you move there with the money you have saved from your teenage fisherman job, but nothing else. With just a plot of land and the clothes in your suitcase to your name, you immediately get to work. You’ve goals to work on, and a house to build, although you are definitely conscious of your carbon footprint, so it’ll be a small house.
Traits: Loves Outdoors, Loner, Freegan
Aspiration: Angling Ace, Freelance Botanist, Outdoor Enthusiast
Career: Part Time Fisherperson (teen), Gardener (either branch YA-elder)
Goals:
Start your sim with just enough money to buy the land.
Use the “off the grid” Lot Trait for this generation (Cannot own a TV, computer, or other electronics)
Build a Tiny Home
Master the Gardening, Fishing, Flower Arranging, and Herbalism skills.
Master all three aspirations (if you need to, using a youth potion is allowed)
Do not have a child until a minimum of ten days from turning into an elder.
Collect all of the Magic Beans from the rare plant seed packets, and turn into a plantsim at some point during the generation
Complete the Fish, Gardening (as much as possible), Insects and Frog collections.
Get the Technophobe Lifestyle
Generation 42: Gold
Your goal in life is the absolute opposite of your backwards parent. Living in a tiny house, eating vegetables, and always paying attention to your surrounding world and environment is not for you. Living paycheck to paycheck and off the proceeds of your farm is even more not your thing. You want money. Lots of it. And a home that shows exactly how much money you have made. To this end, you join the Acting career, and dedicate your life to the job and the celebrity. You move to Del Sol Valley, and are soon turning heads everywhere. You choose to adopt for the boost to your reputation rather than for the child, but you are sure they will be well cared for – you are, after all, paying for just that.
Traits: Self-Absorbed, Materialistic, Hates Children
Aspiration: Fabulously Wealthy, Mansion Baron, Master Actor or Actress
Career: Acting
Goals:
Finish all three aspirations. If you need more time, youth potions are okay.
Master the Charisma and Acting skills.
Attend the award ceremonies whenever they happen.
Become a level five celebrity.
Build a mansion in Del Sol Valley (up on the celebrity hill) and zone it with the Celebrity home lot trait (when you get your celebrity up high enough to warrant it, that is.)
Make sure there’s room in your home for hiring a live-in butler.
Make sure you’re seen in the hottest spots in town every weekend, and sometimes during the week, too.
Eat Healthy and work out to keep your body in good shape – but not so healthy that you end up eating like your parents did.
After you hit adulthood, adopt a child, and make sure it is well cared for with nannies and butlers.
Generation 43: Wood
You were regarded as a status object while growing up, and it was obvious your parent had no time for you or care for your thoughts and feelings. However, you found friends in the house’s staff, and grew up loved and cared for – if not by your actual adoptive parent, at least you had the love of someone who counted. The huge, expensive house you grew up in always felt cold and unwelcoming, so you spent most of your time in the staff’s area of the house, which was just the opposite – mostly because of the company. As you grew up, you knew you wanted to change the world one house at a time. Making your client’s homes exactly what your childhood mansion could never be was your ultimate goal. Once you hit adulthood, you dedicate yourself to raising a family with your spouse, and you encourage your child(ren) to be the very best at whatever they set their mind to.
Traits: Good, Creative, Outgoing
Aspiration: Successful Lineage
Career: Interior Decorator
Goals:
Complete the Successful Lineage aspiration. Much like in generation Twenty-One, finishing this aspiration after the next generation takes over is perfectly fine, and still counts.
Master the Interior Decorator Career
Do your absolute best to try to make each client’s home their dream home, paying careful attention to their likes and dislikes.
Build yourself a warm and cozy home, perfect for raising a family. Concentrate on having areas to socialize and spend time with each other.
Once you hit adulthood (and not before), find a spouse of your choosing and raise a family. You must have at least one child (either naturally or by adoption), and be at the Good Friends or higher relationship status with each of your kids.
Generation 44: Hunter Green
Your parents always wanted the best for you. For you, that meant doing something your illustrious family had never tried: creating a wholesome family farm to hopefully pass on to your children. You couldn’t think of anything better than giving your children something tangible, something that they could do to give back to the ailing planet earth.
Traits: Animal Enthusiast, Loves Outdoors, Lactose Intolerant
Aspiration: Country Caretaker
Career: Self-Employed Farmer
Goals:
Move to a large plot of land in Henford-on-Bagley (not in Finchwick, in other words – it needs to be at LEAST 30 by 40).
Complete the Country Caretaker Aspiration.
Max the Gardening, Cooking, and the Fishing skills.
Build up a full farm. This needs to include plenty of crops, an orchard, at least two cows, at least two Llamas, and at least two full coops of chickens.
Have both a bird tree and a rabbit hole on your property (after making friends with these animals in the wild), and have them help you with your gardening.
Build a pond on your land, and stock it with fish that you caught.
Win Each of the 8 Fair ribbons (even if it means bribing the judge!)
Have grown at least one Perfect Oversized Lettuce, Mushroom, Aubergine, Pumpkin, and Watermelon, and turn them into a decor item to preserve them!
Find and romance your perfect partner, and have at least 3 children (adoption is perfectly okay!). Keep your relationship high with all of your children, and involve them in the daily work of the farm: gardening, cooking, and caring for the animals.
Generation 45: Blood
Maybe your family has been too close to nature lately, but somehow, the lure of the beasts of the forest has been calling to you since you became an adult. Consequently, you immediately delve into the lore surrounding them, and, finally, you become a beast yourself.
Traits: Active, Hot-Headed, and either Outgoing (Emissary of the Collective), Loyal (Wildfang Renegade), or Loner (Lone Wolf)
Aspirations: Werewolf Initiate, & (Emissary of the Collective, Wildfang Renegade, or Lone Wolf)
Career: (Any)
Goals:
Move to Moonwood Mill
Become a werewolf
Complete the Werewolf Initiate Aspiration
Then, pick either the Emissary of the Collective, the Wildfang renegade, or the Lone Wolf aspiration, and complete that as well. (If you’re extremely ambitious, optionally, you can complete all three.)
Become an Alpha in your chosen pack (If you decide to do more than one aspiration, make sure to step down from being alpha before switching packs!)
Max the following skills:
Athletics
If you picked Emissary of the Collective: Charisma
If you picked Wildfang Renegade: Mischief
If you picked Lone Wolf: Guitar
Find your soulmate and marry them
Have at least 1 child and raise them to Young Adult
If you continue to another challenge, or another generation, before you finish this generation, have your heir (if they’re a werewolf) complete the Cure Seeker aspiration.
simqueen8's Not So Berry Challenge 2.0
Generation 46: Mint 2.0
You’re an angler and an engineer that really loves the color mint. You’re career driven but still make time for afternoons spent fishing in the sunshine. You also happen to love luxury which is reflected in your style and home. You only want the best for your family!

Master engineer career and complete angling ace aspiration
Master fishing and robotics skill

You had everything you desired as a child but you were always longing for more. If we had a workaholic trait in The Sims 4, you would have it. After a long day at work, you like to unwind with yoga and meditation. As an adult, your top priority becomes finding your soulmate to share your life with. You have absolutely no maternal instincts whatsoever but you still love your child with all your heart.

Generation 49: Grey 2.0
You always felt that you were different. While the rest of your family was busy playing around in the ocean, you just wanted to be having social gatherings with your friends. However, you do not enjoy cleaning up after these parties so you need to find a husband that is willing to clean up after you. Eat a diet that consists mostly of sweets and baked goods
Generation 52: Pink 2.0
You long to arrange flowers and water your plants all day, but are too afraid to quit your steady job to follow your dreams. You’re very practical and you know the chances of making it as a florist are slim, so you stay working at your nine to five. As an adult you finally decide to pursue your dreams. think of all the fun i´ve missed (think of all the fellas that i haven’t kissed)
-
merry (early) christmas @leifdonnellies! i was your secret santa and i had a lot of fun writing this fic for you :D i hope you enjoy it and have a great holiday season! (the title is from santa baby and really doesn’t fit with the fic all that well but i thought it was funny...)
-
Tobin Batra knew every word in the English dictionary, and yet he still didn’t know the right words to describe the chaos that was SPRQ Point holiday parties.
After going to one for this first time, Tobin immediately knew why STEM kids and queer kids were never the people throwing parties in high school. When you combined those groups into the group that was the fourth floor of SPRQ Point, the result was a drunken mess of a gathering.
The floor was cleared off as it would be for any business-related gala, but instead of tasteful lighting and tech speeches, there were tacky Christmas lights strung up and shitty music blasting from every speaker.
And yet, Tobin loved them. He loved his oddball group of friends and colleagues, and it was fun to hang out with them without any pressure of deadlines and CEO visits, and instead just a week-long break to look forward to. At recent parties, Zoey’s DJ friend Mo provided the music, and he did have objectively better music taste than anyone else there. Tobin liked Mo, and liked getting to chat with him at parties, mostly about music and queer stuff. Another plus of parties was seeing who gave the most outrageous white elephant gifts- Tobin was currently winning that competition ever since he gifted Max a live chinchilla a year ago. (Max still had the chinchilla. He named it Joan after their former boss, and it was beloved by everyone.) Yet another great thing about it was that it was the one night that they finally could replace the bread bar or oatmeal bar or whatever bar with an open bar, because apparently it was legal if it was for a party. But Tobin’s favorite thing about the holiday parties was the fact that it was the one night a year that his boyfriend let Tobin kiss him in front of their colleagues.
Leif was surprisingly shy about PDA, and had been as long as Tobin had known him. His parents weren’t exactly the most touchy-feely people, with each other or with their children, and it had clearly rubbed off on Leif. Tobin was fine with this, of course, he’d never want to make his boyfriend uncomfortable. Plus the two lived together, and Leif was incredibly touch starved at home, so it wasn’t really a big deal that they never did more than very occasionally hold hands at work. That being said, Tobin discovered recently that Leif found it “morally wrong”- Leif’s words, not Tobin’s- to disobey the laws of mistletoe, and he planned to fully exploit that fact at the party.
Mistletoe was a big thing at these parties- because obviously it was, what chaotic Christmas party was complete without a tiny, slightly-poisonous plant that required you to kiss whoever’s nearest to you if you found yourself under it? When they arrived at the party, Tobin snatched a cluster of mistletoe that was hanging right outside the elevators. He figured that was a fair place to steal it from, because as much as he loved the tradition, it was a bit of a cruel place to hang it, catching people off guard like that. Leif glanced over and saw him grab it, but just rolled his eyes as Tobin winked at him and smirked.
“Hey guys!” Zoey greeted as they joined the group. “You can put your gifts over there…” She pointed to a small pile before glancing at the package in Tobin’s arms with concern. “I do not want to know what’s in there this year.”
Tobin smiled wide. “Well, I tried hard to top Joan the chinchilla, but I think it was my peak.”
Leif and Zoey rolled their eyes in unison as Leif gave Tobin a shove towards the stack of gifts.
Tobin soon joined the rest of the party, dragging Leif with him and forcing him to dance to the loud music with him. As per usual, Mo had created a killer playlist, albeit a bit of a weird conglomeration of songs. Any playlist that went from a stunning, slow cover of Someday At Christmas (that seemed to have been sung by the DJ himself) immediately into the original version of Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer had to be made by someone at least a little bit high.
About an hour into the party, Tobin could tell that Leif was getting overwhelmed by all the people and the sounds, so he silently took his hand and pulled him into the nest.
“Thanks,” Leif said once they were out of earshot of others. He rubbed his neck awkwardly as he sat down on the conference table. “Sorry, I don’t know what was happening back there, I’ve been better with social stuff for a while, I guess it just… I dunno… it’s still hard sometimes.”
“Bro, it’s okay, I get it. You never need to apologize about anxiety stuff. And it’s not going to be all better, all the time, and that’s okay. You’ve been doing so good lately, Leif, and you deserve to celebrate that.” Tobin sat next to Leif and put his hand over Leif’s.
Leif turned to him and smiled softly. “Thank you, babe.”
Tobin lay his head on Leif’s shoulder and began rubbing gentle circles on Leif’s hand with his thumb. “You’re welcome.”
Neither man spoke for a few minutes, and Tobin could hear Leif doing some deep breathing, something he often did as a way to calm his anxiety.
Eventually, when Leif seemed to have fully relaxed, he turned towards Tobin and smiled at him again. “Have I mentioned that you look really nice tonight?”
Tobin laughed. “A few times. But you can tell me again.”
“Well you do. Really nice.”
Leif leaned forward and kissed Tobin, and Tobin counted it a win that his boyfriend kissed him at work with no mistletoe involved.
Tobin pulled away much sooner than he wanted to, because they were still at a party after all. “Hey, you ready to go back?”
Leif squeezed his hand before standing up. “Yeah. I think so.”
The two of them left the conference room, and only got a few strange looks from the other party-goers as they made their way back to the group.
“There you are!” Zoey said as she and Simon made their way over. “We were waiting for you to start gifts.”
The next half-hour was spent in a flurry of white elephant chaos, filled with plenty of cursing and sighing and coming close to tears begging someone to please steal their gift because they don’t even play an instrument, why do they need sheet music for the wii theme?! Although none of the gifts came close to the glory of Tobin’s chinchilla, it was unanimously decided that Leif won this year’s most outrageous gift with the collection of small cowboy hats that Simon ended up with (something Simon was weirdly pleased with receiving.) Tobin had pouted about this decision, seeing as the hats had originally been his idea, but his boyfriend looked so pleased about winning such a stupid contest that Tobin let him take the win without too much complaining.
It was getting late, and the party would likely be wearing to a close soon. People were still dancing, however- Leif being one of them. He and Zoey and Simon were in the middle of the floor, moving in a way that they must have considered “dancing” (but was really just a weird movement of limbs all over the place).
The red and green lights were reflecting in Leif’s hair, making the blond curls glow in a way that could only be described as magical. His suit jacket had been abandoned at some point in the evening, so he was wearing only a deep red short sleeve dress shirt with a green vest over it. Despite the cliche color scheme, the outfit looked great on Leif. Tobin watched as Leif threw his head back in laughter at something Simon said, and felt a weird flutter in his heart at the sight. Even after nearly two years of dating Leif, and nearly twelve years of being in love with him, the other man never failed to make Tobin feel like he was fifteen again, looking over at the boy playing video games on the couch next to him, and being hit with a rush of feelings so sudden and so strong that Tobin thought he was dying.
Tobin moved suddenly from where he’d been standing next to George, asking his friend to hold his drink for a moment. He joined Leif on the dance floor right as Santa Baby faded out (the dance moves done for that song did not bear repeating, to say the least), and faintly processed Mo announcing that their final song of the night was White Christmas because it had just started snowing in San Francisco, so of course it was.
“Hey.” Tobin announced his presence as he sidled up next to Leif, swaying slightly to the melody.
“Hi!” Leif turned around so quickly that he needed to steady himself by grabbing on to Tobin’s waist (nothing Tobin was complaining about), his face flushed from dancing.
“Care to dance?” Tobin put his arms up and around Leif’s shoulders, noticing out of the corner of his eye that Zoey and Simon had begun to slow dance away from them, seemingly lost in each other.
Leif just smiled in response and began leading Tobin slowly around the floor. Neither one of them were particularly great at dancing, but it didn’t matter. As Tobin heard the song drawing to a close, he fumbled in his jacket pocket for the mistletoe he had grabbed earlier. Upon finding it, he raised his arm above both him and Leif’s heads so that the mistletoe hung above them.
“Hey L.” Tobin said to get his boyfriend’s attention, because he’d somehow not noticed the commotion.
“Yeah?”
“Look up.” Tobin smirked.
Leif did so and immediately rolled his eyes and blushed.
“Well?” Tobin knew he was being obnoxious but didn’t care. “I seem to recall someone here saying that it was wrong to not follow the rules of mistletoe. Are you really gonna go back on your word now-”
Leif shut Tobin up by kissing him.
Tobin smiled into the kiss, moving his non-mistletoe hand to cradle Leif’s face. People were probably staring at them, but he didn’t care. It’s not like no one knew they were together.
Leif pulled back after a minute, slapping the mistletoe with indignance until Tobin lowered his arm. Their faces were still close, foreheads resting together.
“Merry Christmas Tobes.”
Tobin gave Leif another quick kiss and smiled at him. “Merry Christmas Leif.”

Will the Gossip Girl Reboot Soundtrack Live Up to the Original’s Absolutely Wild One?
Tumblr media
Spoilers ahead for the nearly decade-old run of Gossip Girl.
This week sees the revival of a cult show quite like no other—Gossip Girl. The original infamous 2007 series followed the high school (and later college, albeit to lesser success) lives and exploits of New York’s elite and one lonely boy. The HBO Max reboot will bring that messy vision to the modern-day as a new flock of New York’s privileged elite deal with a Gossip Girl who knows how to use a VPN.
The original Gossip Girl was everything a teenager in the late 2000s could ask for; it had sex, fantastically awful depictions of the rich, and most parents hated it. However, I’m not here to discuss whether or not Dan should have ended up with Blair (my own awful hot take for another time) or whether or not the reboot should be woke, because there’s nothing I need more than rich kids explaining neoliberal theory to me. What I am here to talk about is the absolutely wild soundtrack of the original Gossip Girl and whether or not the reboot has any hopes of living up to it.
youtube
The original run of Gossip Girl was a show with the audacity to firmly rope me in for half a decade to leave me with one of the most lackluster and confusing endings in existence. Dan, really? He wanted to fit in so badly that he would go so far as to leak details of his sister’s sex life, inevitably driving her from the city? Anyway, plot holes and Taylor Momsen’s music-driven departure aside, what honestly sticks with me all these years later is the audacity of the soundtrack. This is the show that dared to ask teenage me if I’d enjoy a side of Sonic Youth with my cocktail of St. Vincent, Lady Gaga, and Cyndi Lauper.
Led by Alexandra Patsavas, the famed music supervisor behind The Twilight Saga, Grey’s Anatomy, The O.C., and plenty more, the three-time Grammy nominee was largely responsible for the original’s genre and generation–spanning soundtrack. In its first episode, we open on Peter, Bjorn and John only to jump between the pop star stylings of Rihanna and Justin Timberlake before delving headfirst into a flashback scored by French space pop duo Air. Yes, the same Air who scored Sofia Coppola’s debut film, The Virgin Suicides. And this is not to make any mention of the other artists featured in the show’s pilot, from Akon to Amy Winehouse, from Albert Hammond Jr. to Timbaland.
Gossip Girl’s omnivorous approach to music direction is something that would continue throughout its show run, helping to establish it as an hour-long block where anything could happen. And I mean anything. When I passively mentioned Lady Gaga, St. Vincent, and Cyndi Lauper earlier, it wasn’t just because their music was passively featured on the show, but because it was commonplace for artists themselves to feature as prominent plot points.
The Mother Monster-centric episode in question revolves around our hero-villain Blair convincing Lady Gaga to perform a Snow White play based on her songs, all in the hopes of impressing the theatre kids at NYU’s Tisch. And that wild sentence doesn’t even begin to touch upon the fact that Dan Humphrey aka Gossip Girl is currently dating Hilary Duff (whose character is playing an actress because this show knew nothing of subtlety). The natural theatrics of the Blair-centric episode were admittedly a perfect fit for Lady Gaga’s own, and did make slightly more sense than Robyn’s private performance for Blair’s 20th birthday.
youtube
However, the one musical guest that stands out most to me now is Sonic Youth, who rush from New Hampshire to a Brooklyn loft, so they can play “Star Power” for a wedding party full of kids who presumably don’t know the first thing about Sonic Youth. Rewatching the show for the third time earlier this year, the moment sticks out all the more, because I am 100% certain that middle school me was in the same position as half the guests at that wedding party. There’s very little chance I had any idea what was going on or why it was such a big deal to have Kim Gordon officiate your wedding, but it’s something that present me appreciates to no end.
And that’s one of the many things I love about Gossip Girl to this day. Subconsciously or consciously, Gossip Girl helped shaped my then-nebulous music identity. My first exposure to Conor Oberst, The Rapture, Death Cab for Cutie, The xx, St. Vincent, and a host of other indie bands that would score my high school years was in-between scenes of New York’s elite battling to be the worst possible version of themselves. It’s that same sense of oddball music discovery that I hope the reboot can capture, but I fear may be difficult in a time where music discovery is so calculated and widespread, driven by algorithms and a seemingly endless barrage of new music at our fingertips.
Because while I have little to no doubt that the Gossip Girl reboot’s soundtrack will be great— actually, I’d take bets on it being amazing, maybe too amazing—what made the original Gossip Girl’s soundtrack so memorable was how ridiculously camp it was. It mirrored the ridiculousness of the show itself, presenting a vision that felt surreal and utterly detached from reality. It wasn’t trying to follow trends; it was daring to create them, unafraid and unbothered by whether it turned out to be a flop or cultural touchstone.

I'm so sorry that it's been a lifetime since I reacted and posted a episode blog but I'm back now so lets going on with the episode
Michael and Maria 💜
Scene goes👽
It's nice to see everyone having a good time for a hot second. Max looks hot running without a shirt on I just need to Pause and look at him shirtless for a minute🤤. Love the way that Michael looks at Maria it's just something about it give me all the feels. Tess can heal like that come I mean if no level to Max is healing but still she could heal I wonder why Isabelle and Michael can't. Bizarre that Max just left nocito in his room when his parents could walk in at any moment however I don't think he was thinking logically to hide the body somewhere he was more thinking he has to warn his friends. It totally makes sense now Max was running instead of driving because Isabel had the car. Another is the question why wasn't Max at the party? I love how Michael jumped up and said I'll take care of it course Tess has to shoot him down for no reason at all, but he takes control anyway. Split Second I do feel sorry for Tess she just lost her father figure. A lot of pressure to put on max at this moment.
It looks like Kyle is coming back from football camp. I completely forgot he wasn't in the first episode. I think his dad completely forgot about him. I love how Kyle debauched nacidos name. Don't blame Kyle for being irritated right now. I completely understand where Michael is coming from they are sitting ducks in school right now but however what other plan do they really have if they don't go to school that's suspicious to. Of course a suspicious figure is following Max who else would this be figure be following. But Max has Spidey senses you can tell that something is following him. Now this is dumb Max to go and see what it is, and of course uses his powers. I think he talked his way out of that one.
Max is in a class without one of them other mean people because it seems like they all have class together each one of them is with someone else. New UFO old guy that runs the center seems fishy to me. I do not like him whatsoever or trust him just the way that he kicks Max out.
Vomit right now Max just happens to walk by Tess. Me yelling at him KEEP ON WALKING DONT STOP. I get the feeling that Tess doesn't like being on Earth. Maria trying to be such a good friend saying one thing and then looking out the window and seeing something else the opposite of what you're saying that's like getting crap thrown in your face. Why is it that when Michael says we are not human Max doesn't want to hear it however Tess says the same you can see the wheels turning in his head that he has a point. You can see that Tess is really pushing for Max to remember this other life. Why wasn't Tess door locked Max just walked right in. Question is why did they break into Tess's house and not one of the others? The real question is what are the skins looking for?
Valenti books weird sitting at the table doing bills like that then again this is back in the late 90s. Max and Tess should have knocked because it seems like they are trying to break in, however Valenti shouldnt of pointed the gun like that while opening up the door. He should have called out first. Why is Kyle acting like he's still at camp, he's acting really strange lately what did Camp do to him? I approve Kyle looks good without a shirt on too, how long with his Calvin Klein😁. I do not like that Liz told congresswoman about agent Pierce wanting to break up with her that's lie doesn't sound believable. Whitaker is dumb to believe it.
There has to be a tie fitting between John FK what they're talking about and with Max. I don't think Max ever heard of the expression curiosity killed the cat. Not to be out all that Brody is just right behind him. Brody firing Max is a little suspicious I think then again Max was snooping around when he should have been.
I really like the way that Maria is grown-up look right now last season she was the nerdy boyish look this season she is confident and girly look. This is a way better look for her. I like that Maria is trying to be there for Liz. When you knock and someone doesn't respond, in or it open doesn't mean you open the door and walk in. Whitaker is totally playing with his right now it just have a feeling she 1 not really drunk she just needed Liz to spill out a name.
Tess shouldn't be in Kyle's room like that uninvited and in his clothes. Kyle and Tess could be a interesting combination. I completely understand where Kyle is coming from. Tess really lays it on thick, making him feel bad. But I understand where Tess is coming from too.
Where has Michael been I have not see him all episode. I'm so glad that we get to see him for a hot second. I am so proud of Michael that he standing up for himself I'm telling Max that he has to start listening to to him. It seems like Isabel can't make a decision. She never knows whose side to choose. That girl needs to get a backbone. Michael the dummy that he is never has a plan he just goes off of instincts. Of course it's going to knock Michael out whatever that beeping noises it's cuz he doesn't have a plan or come up with backup.
I'm so glad that Isabelle well finally told Maxx to shut she's starting to get a backbone. I agree with Isabelle Brody has to go. Surprisingly shocked that she said they kill him. What Isabel saying makes total logic cents something needs to be done Max needs to choose a side
I understand the JFK reference to Max present day. JFK was the leader he had two choices to make Max the leader he has choices to make. They are paralleling the two. I think that it's funny that the only person Max has to talk to you right now is Maria and Maria feels really uncomfortable. Maria was somewhat of a help.
I love the slow motion of them walking. I love Max is new power or he can just block people with a green glow. It's Upsetting that Max didn't tell his friends about his new ability. Max almost blew everything , Brody he's an oddball oh, I quite don't believe this whole abduction by alien but then again with this show you just never know. It's only Brody known that he is actually talking to one a them. The wonder that creepy Shadow thing comes and goes.
That was nice of Kyle to give his room to Tess even though she doesn't deserve it. I do not believe anything that Brody told Max. The new waitress hitting on Michael this cannot happen we have to make this stop. I like that Max is taking Maria's advice and doing something to show Liz that he's there for her. OMG the new waitresses the skin 😲. This is not good.
Well you guys the end of the episode I had fun I hope you had fun I'll see you on the other side.

The Extended Not So Berry Challenge
Here is the complete list of generations for my extended version of the Not So Berry challenge. This challenge consists of the 10 generations of the Not So Berry challenge by @lilsimsie and @alwaysimming, with a few extra skill and collection goals added, followed by the 11 generations of the Road Less Travelled challenge (created by myself (originally camisimblr) with help from Briar, Hope, and Fiona).
Generation One: Mint You’re a mischievous scientist that really loves the colour mint. You’re career driven but still make time for silly pranks and outings with your closest friends. You love luxury and want the best for yourself and your family.
Traits: Vegetarian, Jealous, Materialistic Aspiration: Chief of Mischief Career: Scientist
Goals: - Master scientist career and complete Chief of Mischief aspiration - Master mischief and logic skills - Complete elements, crystals, and metals collections
Generation Two: Rose You had everything you desired as a child, but you were always longing for more. As an adult you have a hard time committing to relationships as you’re so focused on your career. If we had a workaholic trait in The Sims 4 you would have it. You have absolutely no maternal instincts whatsoever, but you still love your child with all your heart.
Traits: Hot Headed, Snob, Romantic Aspiration: Serial Romantic Career: Politician
Goals: - Have only one child - Master the politician career and complete Serial Romantic aspiration - Master charisma skill - Leave someone at the alter (an interaction available during a wedding) - Get married for the first time as an elder
Generation Three: Yellow Growing up you never had a close relationship with your mother and spent the majority of your time alone in your room obsessing over space. You just really love space. You’ll do whatever it takes to get to Sixam no matter the cost.
Traits: Clumsy, Ambitious, Loner Aspiration: Nerd Brain Career: Astronaut
Goals: - Master rocket science and handiness skill - Master astronaut career and complete Nerd Brain aspiration - Must build a rocket ship and visit Sixam - Enter the secret lot in Oasis Springs (requiring max handiness) - Never have any close friends or relationships other than grandparent from Generation 1 until the grandparent dies - Complete space rocks, space prints, and aliens collections
Generation Four: Grey You always felt that you were different. While the rest of your family was busy messing around in the lab, you just wanted to be outside playing basketball. You’re very good at sports and you dream of becoming a professional athlete. To make up for your non-existent relationship with your parents you want to be there for your own children as much as possible. Oh, and you love to sing.
Traits: Active, Slob, Music Lover Aspiration: Bodybuilder Career: Athlete
Goals: - Master singing, parenting, and athletic skills - Master athlete career and complete Bodybuilder aspiration - Have three failed relationships before finding spouse, marry a neat Sim - Be good friends with all of your children - Have family movie night with your spouse and children every Sunday
Generation Five: Plum You’ve always been good at anything you tried. It’s hard to choose a career, so why not try a few? You work as a doctor for much of your life, but as an adult realize that your true dream is to become a professional dancer. You quit your job and join the entertainer career. Basically: you’re an indecisive oddball.
Traits: Genius, Noncommittal, Dance Machine Aspiration: Renaissance Sim Career: Fast Food, Doctor, Entertainer
Goals: - Master dance and two other skills of your choosing, achieve at least level eight in six skills - Complete Renaissance Sim aspiration - Get divorced and then later remarried to the same Sim - Must live in at least three different worlds over the course of your life
Generation Six: Orange You’re the black sheep of your family (but with orange hair) and you were raised in a hectic household. You’ve always wanted to cause mayhem, but you’re just really bad at being evil. You enjoy breaking into your neighbors’ houses and eating their food. You really love baking and spend the majority of your spare time eating sweets.
Traits: Evil, Self-Assured, Glutton Aspiration: Public Enemy Career: Criminal
Goals: - Master baking and charisma skills - Master criminal career and complete Public Enemy aspiration - Must live in a ‘needs TLC’ apartment for entire young adult life - Have twins, but only those two children (you may cheat for this). - Insist on being evil (claim to be criminal mastermind) but nobody believes you, not even your own children
Generation Seven: Pink You grew up poor and are living paycheck to paycheck working in the business career just as your parents did. You long to write romance novels but are too afraid to quit your steady job to follow your dreams. You’re very practical and you know the chances of making it as a writer are slim, so you stay working at your nine to five. As an adult you finally decide to pursue your dreams. You’re a hopeless romantic, but your unflirty nature makes it nearly impossible to find love.
Traits: Neat, Unflirty, Creative Aspiration: Best Selling Author Career: Business
Goals: - Complete postcard collection - Master writing and wellness skills - Complete Best-Selling Author aspiration - Have a well-maintained garden - Quit day job as an adult to pursue dreams (mid-life crisis much?)
Generation Eight: Peach Your mother always taught her to follow her dreams. You’ve always wanted to be a detective. You’ve always wanted to be a comedian. Well dang it, you can do both! Detective by day, comedian by night, you can do anything you set your mind to.

Goals: - Marry a co-worker - Must play an instrument - Master gourmet cooking and comedy skills - Master detective career - Must live in a different world than the one he/she was raised
Generation Nine: Green You were caught hacking by a major tech company that then offered you a position in their firm. You know Penelope Garcia from Criminal Minds? That’s you. You’re dedicated to your work, but that doesn’t stop you from going out and having a good time. You’re the kind of person that will be at a party at 3am and then at work at 6am.

You have a one-time secret affair and will regret it for the rest of your life. Afterward you pour your soul into raising your children and fixing your marriage. You never admit the affair to anyone and dedicate your life to being the perfect mother.
Traits: Gloomy, Perfectionist, Family Oriented Aspiration: Super Parent Career: Critic

Disney Movies List
Ok first of all I want to make clear that english is not my first language. I therefore apologize in advance for any grammar or spelling mistakes. Please don't be too strict with me =D
I recently bought Disney+ and I plan now to watch and review every movie, Disney has ever produced or participated in it. And I tell you, this will be a hell of a trip, because my list now contains no fewer than 701 movies. That means if I watch at least one movie every day, it will take me about 2 years to see all of them. And since I will most likely not watch a movie every day, I will definitely need at least twice as long....
For the films on my list, which I marked with a cross at the end, it means that I have seen them already. However, since I last saw most of these movies in my childhood or teenage years (so at least 15 years ago), it will be interesting for me to rewatch them after such a long time. I have probably already forgotten most of the plots.
I also plan to watch them in chronological order and rank them. The movies that I don't find on Disney+ I will watch somewhere else.
Here is the list: (The films follow the chronological order in which they were published. However, it is quite possible that I accidentally swapped a few. But I think most of it is accurate).

Not So Berry Legacy Challenge In Rainbow Order
Do you like the rainbow? Do you like the idea of playing with berry Sims but hate berry Sims? Do you want to mess around with aspects of the game you’ve never used before? Boy, do I have the challenge for you!
Welcome to the Not So Berry Legacy Challenge, a ten generation legacy with a focus on bright colors and new experiences.
Basic Rules: 1. Each heir must represent the color of the generation (i.e. hair, makeup, clothing), but brightly colored skin is not necessary (these aren’t actually berry Sims, that’s the joke). Of course, this is optional but a big portion of the fun. 2. The colors of the spouses don’t matter as they aren’t part of the challenge. Unless otherwise stated you can do whatever you please with them. 3. Money cheats can be used, but not excessively. Suggestion: use freerealestate for your first home, but no cheats afterward. 4. You may live wherever you please unless something is specified in the rules of a generation. 5. Every generation is supposed to complete both the career and aspiration of the heir unless explicitly stated otherwise. 6. Keep the lifespan on normal.
Generation One: Rose
You had everything you desired as a child but you were always longing for more. As an adult you have a hard time committing to relationships as you’re so focused on your career. If we had a workaholic trait in The Sims 4 you would have it. You have absolutely no parental instincts whatsoever but you still love your child with all your heart.
Traits: Hot Headed, Snob, Romantic Aspiration: Serial Romantic Career: Politician
Rules: - Have only one child - Master the politician career - Complete the Serial Romantic aspiration - Master charisma skill - Leave someone at the alter (an interaction available during a wedding) - Get married for the first time as an elder
Generation Two: Orange You’re the black sheep of your family (but with orange hair) and you were raised in a hectic household. You’ve always wanted to cause mayhem, but you’re just really bad at being evil. You enjoy breaking into your neighbor’s houses and eating their food. You really love baking and spend the majority of your spare time eating sweets. Traits: Evil, Self Assured, Glutton Aspiration: Public Enemy Career: Criminal Rules: - Master baking and charisma skills - Master the criminal career - Complete the Public Enemy aspiration - Must live in a needs TLC apartment for entire young adult life - Have twins, but only those two children (you may cheat for this) - Insist on being evil (claim to be criminal mastermind) but nobody believes you, not even your own children
Generation Three: Peach You share the same passion for food as your parent does. You’ve always wanted to be a detective, you’ve always wanted to be a comedian. Well dang it, you can do both! Detective by day, comedian by night, you can do anything you set your mind to.
Traits: Foodie, Lazy, Goofball Aspiration: Joke Star Career: Detective
Rules: - Marry a co-worker - Must play an instrument - Master gourmet cooking and comedy skills - Master detective career - Complete Joke Star aspiration - Must live in a different world than they were raised in
Generation Four: Yellow Growing up you’ve been surrounded by a casual setting, but you’ve always wanted to live a life full of adventure. You spent the majority of your time alone in your room obsessing over space. You just really love space. You’ll do whatever it takes to get to Sixam no matter the cost.
Traits: Clumsy, Ambitious, Loner Aspiration: Nerd Brain Career: Astronaut
Rules: - Master rocket science and handiness skills - Master astronaut career - Must build a rocket ship and visit Sixam - Enter the secret lot in Oasis Springs (requires max handiness skill) - Never have any close friends or relationships other than grandparent until grandparent dies
Generation Five: Green
You were caught hacking by a major tech company that then offered you a position in their firm. You know Penelope Garcia from Criminal Minds? That’s you. You’re dedicated to your work, but that doesn’t stop you from going out and having a good time. You’re the kind of person that will be at a party at 3 AM and then at work at 6 AM.
Traits: Squeamish, Geek, Cheerful Aspiration: Computer Whiz Career: Tech Guru
Rules:
- Master mixology, video gaming, and programming skills - Master tech guru career - Complete Computer Whiz aspiration - Must accept every invitation to parties/outings with your friends - Have at least five good friends and five enemies
Generation Six: Mint
You’re a mischievous scientist that really loves the color mint. You’re career driven but still make time for silly pranks and outings with your closest friends. You love luxury and want the best for yourself and your family.
Traits: Vegetarian, Jealous, Materialistic Aspiration: Chief Of Mischief Career: Scientist
Rules:
- Master scientist career - Complete Chief Of Mischief aspiration - Master mischief and logic skills - Complete elements collection
Generation Seven: Blue You have the perfect life. White picket fence, loving spouse, beautiful children. But why do you still want more? You have a one time secret affair and will regret it for the rest of your life. Afterward you pour your soul into raising your children and fixing your marriage. You never admit the affair to anyone and dedicate your life to being the perfect parent.
Traits: Gloomy, Perfectionist, Family Oriented Aspiration: Super Parent Career: Critic Rules: - Adopt at least one child - Master the photography, painting and parenting skills - Master critic career and complete Super Parent aspiration - Must marry high school sweetheart and stay with them until you die - Have a one time secret affair
Generation Eight: Plum
You’ve always been good at everything you tried. It’s hard to choose a career, so why not try a few? You work as a doctor for much of your life, but as an adult you realise that your true dream is to become a professional dancer. You quit your job and join the entertainer career. Basically: you’re an indecisive oddball.
Traits: Genius, Noncommittal, Dance Machine Aspiration: Renaissance Sim Career: Doctor, Entertainer
Rules:
- Master dance skill and two other of your choosing - Achieve at least level eight in six skills - Complete Renaissance Sim aspiration - Get divorced and then later remarried to the same sim - Must live in at least three different worlds over the course of your life
Generation Nine: Pink
You grew up moving all the time and couldn’t keep a stable job other than the business career.
Traits: Neat, Unflirty, Creative Aspiration: Best Selling Author Career: Business, Freelance Writer
Rules: - Complete postcard collection - Master writing and wellness skills - Complete Best Selling Author aspiration - Have a well maintained flower garden - Quit business career as an adult to pursue dreams
Generation Ten: Grey
You always felt that you were different. While the rest of your family was busy writing, you just wanted to be outside playing basketball or football. You’re very good at sports and you dream of becoming a professional athlete. To make up for your nonexistent relationship with your parents you want to be there for your own children as much as possible. Oh, and you love to sing.
Traits: Active, Slob, Music Lover Aspiration: Bodybuilder Career: Athlete
Rules:
- Master singing, parenting and athletic skills - Master athlete career and complete Bodybuilder aspiration - Have three failed relationships before finding spouse, marry a neat sim - Be good friends with all of your children - Have a family movie night with your spouse and your children every Sunday
I wanted to fiddle with this challenge to shape it to my liking and I ended up switching the order of the gens! I love for things to be organized so I decided to put the gens in rainbow order and it actually fits very well!
This challenge was originally made by the almighty @lilsimsie and @alwaysimming so go check them out!! Follow me on other socials if you want to:

I just need some place to get out my Stranger Things season 3 feelings: - Overall, I enjoyed the season but felt like it was the weakest one so far, where the constant pairing up of romantic couples (all m/f, of course) just got really obnoxious and kind of ruined so much of what I loved about the show previously. It’s most obvious with the kids--in theory, there’s an interesting story to be told about kids growing up into these baby relationships, especially because I think they had some really good set-up with Mike and Eleven, how they were getting way, way too wrapped up in each other, they never spent time with anyone else, Eleven wasn’t really discovering who she was outside of Mike, and Hopper could see that, especially the way they were behaving towards the parental figure in the room.  He was an asshole about it, but I felt like the early set-up was acknowledging that it was fucked up what he did, that he terrorized a child and was crossing over the boundaries he was supposed to be setting up, but that he was coming from a place of something that needed to be addressed. And it seemed like it was heading in that direction--everything with Max and Eleven was delightful, how she was pushing for El to have her own feelings and her own style, what she liked, not what anyone else (Max included) wanted.  And I did really like the acknowledgement that she might have been pushing too fast and too far, because El had no internal boundaries, Mike was right about that, she would get herself killed and not think twice about it, if it meant helping her friends, because of all the shit she’d been through.  But the overall point Max was making was really, really important and the encouragement to figure herself out--she wasn’t even serious about breaking Eleven and Mike up! only if he acted like an ass, then dump him, and she pointed out he’d come running back, showing she knew they liked each other and it was fine! they just had stuff to work out--and I loved that scene with the Wonder Woman comic.  So, so much good stuff there! Where the season lost me was that the only interaction Hopper had with El before the final episodes, was yelling at her and Mike or being surprised when Max was there instead.  There was pretty much NOTHING of them directly interacting, only him talking about her, and that really killed a lot of the impact of the s3 ending.  The brief scenes of him comforting her in the mall were very nice, but they were so miniscule and going up against an entire season that seemed design to torpedo everything I liked about Hopper, that it was too little too late.  I felt nothing over his death (and am reasonably sure it’s at least a possibility that he jumped into the Upside Down in a last ditch attempt to survive), because he’d been such a dick to Joyce the entire season. God, this season really killed all my desire to ship those two.  I liked them so much in the first season!  And then Bob came along and I actually REALLY LOVED him and I’m so glad Joyce was still working that out, she should be still working that out, but Hopper was a dick about that, too, as he was a dick about her having a conversation with Mr. Clarke (jesus christ, I get that we were meant to see it as Hopper being jealous in a definitively romantic vein, but it turned me off so hard) and Joyce never really got to do anything but interact with Hopper and worry about her kids from a distance, like how am I supposed to care about her relationship with Will or Jonathan when she never shared screen time with them in any significant way?  And then Murray came along with his whole JUST SHARE THE DAMN BED ALREADY 2.0 speech and nothing kills my interest in shipping something faster than Murray trying to tell me there’s sizzling sexual tension there and they should just fuck already, ugh, that was the moment when I realized Joyce/Hopper was well and truly dead for me.  He killed Jonathan/Nancy for me and now he killed Hopper/Joyce for me. I had so little interest in Jonathan/Nancy this season, it really feels like the spark with them was all Steve.  I know the actors are dating IRL so they clearly are into each other, but I just don’t feel any of it.  In theory, I really should have enjoyed the butting of different kinds of privilege and how that played out, that Jonathan doesn’t understand what it’s like for a woman in that atmosphere and Nancy doesn’t understand what it’s like to genuinely need the money.  And I loved loved loved the conversation with Karen and Nancy, that was the best part of all of Nancy’s stuff, but then the whole conflict was dropped and Jonathan never really got any character depth beyond that one glimmer and I’m still not over the creepy stalker kid getting the hot girl without actually showing me why she’d want him thing, especially when Steve was right there, being brave and sweet and actually growing up. I don’t know what to make of Steve this season, though.  I feel like the show is just doing the same thing it always does, putting him with someone new that he clashes with and has great chemistry with, that that’s the show’s strength (and why I was so annoyed with all the m/f stuff, because it’s so baseline), but that it wasn’t actually doing anything that was a bit of a revelation.  It’s not like I have any better ideas, either, but I felt like it really just was a repeat of previous seasons and got by on the strength of the actors’ abilities.  That said, it was still some of the best stuff of the show and while I’m sad about Steve and Robin not being mutually into each other, I found the implications of a gay girl being willing to come out to a dude she’s really only been friendly with for a day or two, in small Midwest town in the ‘80s, to be really engaging. I think the other strongest thing (other than Max & Eleven) was Dustin and Erica, because it could have been really obnoxious, but ultimately she was just as much of a nerd as they were and that was shown to be a good thing, and the actress really did have a flair that was super fun to watch.  (The whole My Little Pony conversation just made me really happy, too.  Dustin watches MLP!  Because he’s a nerd and likes nerdy things!  Doesn’t matter that it’s pastel colors and aimed at girls, it’s still about centaurs and magic and quests and he EATS THAT SHIT UP.  ♥) My other favorite thing was Murray and Alexei, that pretty much single-handedly saved Murray’s character for me, because otherwise I hated every scene he was in, knowing the whole JUST SHARE THE DAMN BED 2.0 conversation was coming (though, it was worse than expected), but oh my god they were adorable just being friends and laughing together and eating crap food together and enjoying the carnival and cartoons together.  This show really is at its best when it’s putting oddball pairings together and letting them shine! Overall, I enjoyed it, but there sure was a lot of stuff that felt like it was the part you had to sit through to get back to the fun stuff, also I’m sad that it so thoroughly killed my interest in anything to do with Hopper, except maybe I would still care about Hopper & El.  Honestly, my biggest feeling is, “Yeah, I’m interested in season 4, but I can wait until they get around to it.”
