An Oddballs rant

This Toasty image is my reaction when I see the treatment of abused kids in Oddballs

Oddballs has terrible morals for children

I’m saving Toasty for the end of this post because I have so much stuff to say about his arc

first - Max and his parents

Max is already a terrible character

but why is he comfortable with his parents

in episode 1 it’s shown they have abused him and episode 8 shows they won’t hesitate to give him away to a strange lab if he acts feral, like wtf, I hate those 2 (and his sister too)

THAT’S YOUR KID! TREAT HIM LIKE YOUR KID AND PROTECT HIM! WHAT’S WRONG WITH YOU!

Max is also abusive (which I’m going to talk about in the Toasty section)

second - James, Louise and Patrick

As someone who was neglected, I think James’ parents did neglect James (and Louise was also shown to turn her kid into a smart phone despite the fact he was SCREAMING in pain)

Louise doesn’t care about James, the only person close to a parent he has is Mr. Mcfly, HIS TEACHER!

Mr. Mcfly is probably the only character suit to be a parent in this show!

now…the reason why I wrote this…

third - Toasty / Declan

A abused kid portrayed as the VILLAIN?! HUH?!

Why are his abusive fathers (James and Max) A HERO?!?!?! WTF!!!

James is overbearing and strict (and killed his OWN SON!) and tries to justify him throwing his son’s dead body in the trash!

Toasty has been abused and traumatized by James and Max, Max just sees him as an experiment and doesn’t hesitate to make his life a living hell, no wonder why Toasty snapped, BECAUSE MAX AND JAMES ARE ABUSERS!

Max never cared about Toasty, won’t hesitate to kill him (same can be applied to James) and doesn’t care when HIS OWN FUCKING SON DIES! Max should stay the fuck away from kids and never be a parent again! I just want to kick and hit Max, he’s so awful

James did kinda try to care but thanks to the worst character Max, he just wants Toasty for toast (same as Max) and even though he tries to become a better parent, he fails, I hope he doesn’t have the chance to become a father again

Toasty is a victim of abuse and should have been redeemed but nope, they just had to kill him, turn him into a waffle maker and say that he’ll cause destruction again! this isn’t how you write a 13 YEAR OLD TEENAGER WHO HAS BEEN TRAUMATIZED THANKS TO 2 FUCKING IDIOTS

I just wish Toasty had a better arc (and also get away from James and Max)

how about James and Max become the villains and Toasty is a hero who escapes from them and at the end gets adopted by Mr. Mcfly

he’s also isolated from the rest of Dirt, and was never taught morals, which is why I think he went on a rampage, he doesn’t know that what he’s doing is bad, he just thinks he’s doing the right thing, and honestly I just want to give him blankets, hugs and headpats and tell him that it’s not his fault he was abused, and that he deserves better

fuck Max, James, Max’s parents, Louise and Patrick, I hope someone kicks them

This is why Oddballs disgusts me, I’m pissed off and the writing of this show feels like a slap in the face.

I’m ending my vent here, sorry for my anger, I just can’t with this show.

Toasty / Declan - he looks and acts 13 but is actually a 1 year old, he is very chaotic due to still being young. He sees Stuart as his older brother and cares a lot about him.

Stuart - a 13 year old bully, he can possess others and can absorb others into him. he may act tough but can be frighten when threatened, he won’t take kindly to NFSW stuff also.

Mr. Mcfly - a 45 year old teacher, he is the father figure to Stuart and Declan but he gets scared a lot and doesn’t know how to have a proper sleep schedule, he is in a polycule with Bryon Sellers and Principal Loudspeaker.

Bryon Sellers - a 46 year old salesman scammer, he likes to scam people but still has a heart deep down, he is in a polycule with Mr. Mcfly and Principal Loudspeaker.

Principal Loudspeaker - a 46 year old loudspeaker, he is very strict yet loosens up a bit when with people he trusts, he is in a polycule with Mr. Mcfly and Bryon Sellers.

Another thought that was funny to me is that Nash being WAY less extroverted than Guren (at least, as a kid). Like this man talks to cats more than other people, he stays with his books and stuff, he is very much a bit of a loner, his only friends were his knight pals. Like if Guren met Past Nash and went up to him like, "Hi!! Hi hi, what's ur name??" The kid would literally walk away. Like, "who this guy?? I'm leavin"

Occupation: Librarian

Being the librarian of The Slums she doesn't get that much interaction, yet that's just the way she likes it. Since the passing of her mother she has tried her best to cut herself off from most of the outside world. All apart from a certain bucket hatted bot.

The only person she tends to spend time with now is Seamus, finding solace in the fact that his father went missing. Of course, they had also know each other since childhood with her mum having used to work with Doc as a fellow scientist.

In lighter terms she and Seamus also enjoy geeking out about 80s-90s movies together and often finds ways to quote them in conversations. She also enjoys watching him play the guitar finding his passion to be somewhat... attractive.

Fun Fact: Not even they're certain of what their relationship is

Name: Blossom-Fern (old name is Clara)

Occupation: Flower Shop owner

Most of her childhood was spent inside learning dusty old books and being taught how to be a prim and proper young lady. While she appreciated how it meant she would have a comfortable life she also hated how boring it was. And so when she was finally old enough to live on her own she immediately went to go live in Midtown and experience actually living.

There she befriended Clementine who showed her the beauty of plants and natural life. This drew her to learn more about the humans who came before her and especially a subset of people most common in the 60s. She was fascinated by their colloquialisms, art, and lifestyle. Clementine was also the one to introduce her to Doc, albeit by accident.

Now even though she and Doc live far away from each other they still tend to write each other letters and go over to each others houses. She enjoys his eccentricity and surprisingly fun loving spirit, while he appreciates her intelligent mind and care towards his well being.

Fun Fact: They often flirt with each other causing mass amounts of pain to Seamus

Dirt’s Fall day 1

Stuart was with his teacher, both of them are terrified, half of the town was missing, including Stuart’s father, so Mr. Mcfly decided to take care of Stuart until Stuart’s father returns

looking around, Stuart is shaking. he has never felt so much fear before, even if it was James coming back he wouldn’t care, he just wants someone else to come as well. the fog is blocking the view.

what happened? it was bright and sunny an hour ago. but now everything is just…dark and quiet

Mr. Mcfly was also confused and concerned, he calls out the student’s names. no answer…

Stuart may have been a bully but he’s just 13, he is terrified.

the 2 decide to stick together, the school is empty. it has food water and stuff in it, the 2 decide to stay in the school as a bunker.

the night is going to be long, but Stuart and Mr. Mcfly plan to find more people tomorrow.

there has to be more, right?

Let’s Talk Time in ST Part 2

Rather than talking about the slowing/speeding up of time (which I discussed here in part 1), let’s talk major TIME TRAVEL and how it could possibly occur.

They really hammered us on the head with the Back to the Future references! Clearly they are telling us that someone is in the past (or someone will travel to the past) and they will need to return to the future (aka their time).

So I do strongly believe that Will is our little time traveller. I mean it’s pretty clear he’s been referenced as the Marty Mcfly! Just look at those red life-preservers…

Also since we are given clues like these… it’s hard to argue with the fact that Will absolutely has or will travel to the past at some point.

Now, when it comes to time travel itself… how can it even occur?

Mr. Clarke tells us a lot of energy is required. And, if we look at Back to the Future- time travel specifically requires a lot of power. 1.21 Gigawatts of it! How could such amount of power be generated? A bolt of lightning.⚡️

Hmmm… okay interesting! 🤔

Lightning has been referenced a lot when it comes to Mike and Will. Let’s just say… these friends are definitely electric.

Of course a thank you is in order for Steve for helping us connect the dots here. Sexual electricity is a thing.

So basically, a lot of power is required to time travel… specifically the power of a bolt of lightning. Lightning is commonly associated with Mike and Will in subtle ways. Mike and Will have sexual electricity… possibly enough to make time travel possible.

… and that’s the power of love.
